Friendly knowledgable staff who are always available to help which is good because I go in thinking I know exactly what I need & then feel unsure because there are so many options. I especially like their garden centre. They have a good selection of plants that are healthy. Dogs on a lead are welcome, so they don't have to stay in the car while you shop. My dogs enjoy the outing.

We bought two designer tanks with planting bowls. Installed one so fare and it was filled by beautiful rain water in a night. Just planted the top bowl. Looks great. What a treat to get good looking watertanks

Generally priced well, has what your looking for most of the time, need to try and keep staff for longer so their experience grows, often lots of new staff

Emma on the service desk and Cam down lawnmowers really rock ,I don’t recommend buying a ryobi lawnmower but Bunnings staff went the extra mileage to turn a bad experience into a positive, all front facing team members could learn a lot from these two.

Had almost everything I needed but the staff at the Tradesman exit weren't as helpful as the staff n Te Rapa, actually they just watched as my friend struggled to tie down our load, annoyed me a little bit but I got over it🙃

I love bunnings, its wea i get all my craft needs, like sculpty clay, paints, varnish. I redone a set of drawers wiv the paint & varnish an put sum glass knobs on them, i think they look great if i do say so myself 😁

Drove there from chartwell. Had brought a Malibu chair from Terapa branch which was damaged.( Obviously used ) Returned it to the Terapa store and all they did was offer a refund. So went to the Hamilton south store to buy another one.

They have a great range of goods I hope you take your money though you will definitely see something that you will need.

This is a very helpful store, and because I can only buy online, due to a back injury, I really depend on good service. I recently bought a laundry trolley from Bunnings Te Rapa, and my youngest daughter put it together. To put the wheels on and keep them in place, requires hubs, which have to be hammered gently into place. Unfortunately, one hub broke, so I contacted Bunnings, and asked them for another. They immediately answered, and sent out two more for free. I was very happy with their very prompt service, and positive response. Thank you Bunnings Te Rapa!

Very well sign posted for a smooth in/out flow while maintaining the social distancing. Not as busy as I'd thought, which is good as some aisles were narrowed by the sale bins, creating a chicane effect relying on politeness to avoid close proximity. To other shoppers. Very friendly staff with a cheery hello and smile.

Perfect place to go for any residential or industrial needs especially for moving house or repairs or cleaning products

Conflicted with this place. Some days are good other days not soo good when you go in there. Sometimes you like to shop in peace but are constantly looked at. And when you ask for help some of them dont like to help. They are basically annoyed that you even asked for help but they dont mind staring. What crazy service seems their customer service is lacking.

Usually have most of what I've needed but overcharged on two recent visits. Problem did get sorted straight away when I had to go back again 😒 to get refund. No pricing on quite a few items looked at in garden centre and solar lighting areas - this seems to be normal practice as every time I've been in store, there are at least two or three items I've looked at, been put out for sale with no pricing. Here's an idea - get pricing signage done first before putting stock out. Nothing more frustrating than no price on item and NO staff around to help. Prices are not always cheaper as they promise. Identical baby houseplants from same supplier at a competitor's store were almost $1 cheaper than at Bunnings. Also noticed other identical items dearer here than elsewhere. Very rarely a staff member available to help when needed, so now just try to go in, get what I need and if item not priced or need staff help, I'll just leave it on the shelf.

The staff were brilliantly friendly, I LOVE that. The young man that helped me really did ensure he was giving me correct information and even went and got a second opinion. It was so helpful and saved me at least 50 $ . Appreciated my visit and currently still have shop bias lol. So this is MY bunnings . I'll drive from te rapa and pass one on the way to shop here instead. 😁

Tend to have to find the staff who work in the area for what you need. Not many all rounders on floor. Most tell you to ask another person least they give you thier name makes it a little easier.

I'm not from Hamilton but I like to visit family. Bunnings is pretty close and I enjoy shopping here. Staff are always pleasant and helpful. 👍

Never enough staff at the checkouts...yet so many milling around their departments wanting to always ask you if everything is good. Does have a good coffee shop though. Make sure they put everything back onto your trolley or you'll discover items missed at the car.

Some staff are brilliant, but unfortunately a couple of rotten ones spoil the bunch, not very helpful when a stocked item box on shelf was empty, would not even look into if they had more in store let alone order some in for me. They just suggested I drive to other end of town to another store.

Went there last Sat and glad they had the stock that the other Bunnings didn't have. Only down side was the rude young worker who looked tired and didn't care to help when I needed it.

Trade account discounts are really small, usually use Bunning's for convenience purposes only

It is a very good place to go the staff are very good they help a lot if you are not shore on thing they helpe you find what you are looking for very happy to shop there

Time is money for tradies, and I often see patience wearing thin for all types of customers as people nearly always need to line up for service, usually about 4 minutes, but frequently longer up to 15. Special order counter double or triple that time. I no longer use Bunnings for special orders. They need at least one or two more staff on all counters. I hope they don't burn out their quality staff! Do something. Mitre10 appear to have less customers but double the counter staff. Overall a Great warehouse! Very knowledgeable, helpful and friendly staff!

Always my go to place when I need anything to do my place up great service an prices are reasonable to. I cud have xmas in bunnings.

A modern well stocked Bunnings but staff only get a 3 out of 5 for attitude. (I still haven't forgiven Bunnings for ruthless closures of well run stores that the press wrongly attributed to Covid. Maybe that contributes to poor staff morale)

I have really enjoyed the opening of my local Bunnings store. A great resource for tasks large and small. I recently needed some small obscure 12 volt bulbs for some bedside lamps. I found them listed on the Bunnings Website... The bulbs were found easily in the lighting area. Very very convenient.

Decent range of products and good parking. Staff pretty stand-offish which can be good or not . Where they fall down is when it comes time to check out. Only one till irrespective of the number of customers standing in line. Then you have to pretty much turn out your pockets before you get past the guard at the exit. Don't really appreciate being made to feel like a bigger criminal than when passing through airport security. I'm only buying some nails. Will stick to ITM in future.

How awesome is bunnings.. An absolute fun trip with my dad. Staff dont bother you but are always around if you need help. Looking up on the website helps with the shopping experience. Only one checkout open despite plenty of customers Only place in New Zealand I've been subjected to checking of my receipt on the way out of the store. Made me feel like I was in a third world country. There are enough big box hardware stores I can visit, so I won't come back here unless I absolutely have to.

The very young staff can however lack expertise and might require more research on your own. But that does not effect their great support and they will always give you a hand where needed. Shopping here will be a pleasant experience.

Blimmen good prices, big range. What's not to love. The Quentin Pl store easier and less peeps about than the Te Rapa store.

On 2 January 2021 I received excellent customer service from Lindsay who use to work at Te Rapa Bunnings for 15 years then transfer to Hamilton South Bunnings. It started when I ask at the Help Assistance Deck for a product. He said I call Te Rapa, well he was taking orders from his colleague. Then he serve another customer which means I didn't receive quality service from the male assistant or any answer to my query. Which left me sooo disappointed with this branch until LINDSAY took the time and energy to help me. I purchase the product I wanted in the first time I ask for HELP. Thank you to LINDSAY for his outstanding service 👏

We have been buying from Bunnings Wairau on the North Shore, Auckland, for many years and so it was a pleasant surprise to find the friendliness and helpfulness of staff, their professionalism, i.e. the whole customer service excellence experience that we have come to expect from Bunnings, replicated at Bunnings Hamilton. The Store has an excellent layout and a vast variety of products. Highly recommended.

I had a pleasent time in the bunnings Restroom, the flush was pleasant and the toilet paper all though was cheap in feel it did however have a smooth texture that felt nice on the Skrunch. I had accidently sprayed onto the floor, however was easy to wipe up due to the surface polish that was applied to the floor.

My wife and I brought a house 7 years and have made many changes to it. We used to go to the Te Rapa branch but now Hamilton south because it closer. We build a fence, extended our kitchen, made a garden and brought all our tools, materials and plants from here. A special thank you to staff member Robyn. Over the many years going to this place she stood out the most. Very helpful, and even when she is busy she still had time to point people to the right direction or person. I always go here. 1. Because it’s close to town and where I live. 2. There is always staff to help me. But I’m only giving 4 stars due to them never having enough people at the counters. Off the top of my head there is like 6 counters. Only 1 is ever open plus the info counter. I waited 20-30mins to be served once. I’d hate to think how long the tradies at the end on the line waited! This really needs to be improved ASAP.

Staff are incredibly friendly and helpful. If you're in hospitality then I'd reccomend a trip to bunnings to show staff what great customer service looks like.

There's a great cafe that support people in the Fair Trading Act that has hot drinks for a reasonable price and the food is delicious too. And I needed some plants for the garden which was a bonus

Regular visitor here now. Very close with lots of parking. Easy to get to being on a main road with traffic lights. Pricing and stock levels are good

I'm taking back my 4 star rating, back to 3 stars, service is excellent, smiling friendly faces always willing to help find your items to purchase, A1, however my gripes are with the pricing of Bunnings garden products inside the shed on shelves, they never in my experience discount fertilizers, sprays, which must sit on the shelves for years, deteriorating, OK maybe Mitre10 may be similarly prices of these products, however that's my gripe!

Yeah out of all the bunnings that I've been to this one's got to be the best it's got the best customer service so far same layout as normal but really friendly people parking sweet as the trade area is really easy and accessible for the wood and timber supplies

The staff were super helpful, particularly impressed by the young man on the customer service desk who helped me when a flat pack cabinet I purchased was missing some bolts.

Great variety but a bit lacking in staff on checkouts.

I prefer this Place over Mega Mitre 10. The staff at Mega Mitre 10 just stare at you. Like they can't be bothered helping. In Te Rapa .
