I needed plumbing tools and hardware. The attendant new exactly what i needed. Purchased all i needed for $250 then installed/replaced the leaking pipes under the house, job done in 2 hours. Much better advice and service from a person who new what they were advising me about. More experieced than Bunnings (sorry but it's true)

Shopped at the garden center Mitre 10 MEGA Rotorua today and both my wife and I were blown away by the amazing service we received from Val the shop assistant. She was a ball of fire and even though she was busy with other customers gave us all first class and attentive service, also pointing out reduced prices on some shop-soiled products. I am used to mediocre service at most large retail shops and decided I had to share our today's experience. We ended up spending Over $300 today and feel we got a great deal. Thanks Val will be asking for your assistance again next time.

Mega staff, but no one stops to help. All standing around talking to each other. Girl on checkout great, very helpful. Supervisor not so much, no interaction with customers. Lead by example.... garden center staff like zombies, felt like asking the statues for help. Very frustrating.

Mitre 10 is a great stopping off place..plenty of parking, quality plants and a wide range of handyman supplies. The cafe located within the building serves delicious food with a blackboard menu and delicious muffins, scones and cakes. The coffee is A1..a great spot to refuel with super helpful, friendly staff. Childrens meals are available and there is a small play area for toddlers. Well worth a visit!

They score highly for customer service and acknowledgement. Every where you go a staff member will greet you and ask if you need help. You really get the sense of 'If I need help I can get it here'. Totally recommend their stores compared to bunnings. I have walked around in Bunning's for half an hour and was totally ignored. Go the extra mile and go to Mitre 10 for quality service. You will see hear and feel the difference between other stores.

We purchased a law master mower by phone from Whakatane (02/05/19) and received friendly help from the store staff who actually even had a staff member who lived near Whakatane deliver it for a small charge! However the lawn mower proved to be faulty after approximately 15 minutes of use.and we contacted the store to see what could be done. Once again we were given great service and as we had agreed that we would return the item ourselves. Not only did they have a replacement ready when we arrived, they reimbursed us for the small initial delivery charge. Thanks to the people we never met, Ian and Maria as well as the helpful staff we did meet. We will have no problem in recommending this store to others as we feel they deserve a big thanks!
