Smaller than the other Bunnings in town so range is limited, despite having 2 floors. The only major drag is the parking. Centre of town sounds like a great idea, until you try to park here, and that's IF there's a park available, the very definition of sardines. Recommend parking somewhere else and walking.

Like most Monarch butterfly enthusiasts this time of year, I was desperate for more swan plants to feed the caterpillars. Plants are in short supply in Wgtn, so when Bunnings Porirua had more in stock, I called and asked for seven plants to be put aside for pick up later in the day. They were happy to do that. When I went to collect them, the assistant found them in a trolley in the garden center. They hadn't been put aside as earlier stated and could've been purchased by someone else. When I got them home, the bigger caterpillars wouldn't go on them. The smaller ones did and started eating the leaves. Next morning, all the little caterpillars on those plants had died. My daughter took two of the plants I purchased from Bunnings and her caterpillars died too, after eating the leaves. The plants had obviously been sprayed with insecticide for that to happen. I have purchased swan plants from Tory Street Bunnings before and never had any problems with caterpillars dying. Very distressing to see dead and dying caterpillars due to plants having been sprayed. They were all healthy before eating those plants. Not happy at all

Nov2021 What a old school rabbit Warren of a shop. Clean and tidy, and helpful staff. Very popular, lots of customers, surprised by amount of young adults in store... Turns out they like your plants.

Surprisingly large as a shop. It was easy to get around and the staff seemed knowledgeable enough about the items I was looking for. They didn't have everything in stock that I needed which means I'll have to look elsewhere.

Free parking in the centre of the city, friendly approachable staff. Went I. To get some odds and ends, didn't expect the staff to have an almost encyclopedic knowledge of the large multi-storey layout and be able to direct me to the right aisles to find what I needed immediately. Expected to need ten minutes or so to locate the items I wanted was in and out in 3 minutes, most of that was walking the floor to get from bottom front of building to top back. A very pleasant experience and watched staff interacting with people I assume are regulars by name. I didn't see one staff member without a smile. Awesome to see.

Outstanding services Yesterday We visited this shop and looking for buying a new Gazebo for our camping in NZ but found the model we preferred was out-of-stock, when we check with one of their staff later we get to know her name is Kathy, she was extremely helpful when she noticed we are overseas visitors and eagerly look for this particular model, she tried all her efforts and finally she managed to find out one of their other store did have stock available, she even make the call and ask them to reserve for us to be picked-up We thankful for Kathy of her great assistant We highly recommend this store, truly you can find almost everything you needed

They mostly have anything you want in an elaborated hardware store, and the staff are the best - quirky, but hey they know their stuff. Silly things like not replenishing sold out items like bolts and nuts, what, too popular? So, you may end up in some suburban giant store walking for miles before you sleep. Miles to go before you sleep.

Take care of trip hazard! Made staff aware of serious foot trip hazard at front of shop on 16th Nov approx 10am, photo attached. And some holes on cobblestone foot path to front door no photos of those. Always have to wait in line. Great location for me as I do a lot of maintenance near this merchant. I will go there again.

One of the places I can spend hours and hours in :-) Friendly and knowledgeable staff. Highly appreciate helping me finding things (have no idea how you manage to remember where is what) or deciding on the best option for a project. Most of them are former builders and therefore their advice is not to make sales, but to get the best tool for the job. Also because of that they are REALLY good with helping you figure out what can be used as a substitute if what you're looking for is not in stock. If there is still nothing to be found - they will always recommend the place where you can get what you're looking for. That kind of honesty is what makes them win among the competitors without competing :-) Thank you for doing a great job! Will see you very soon for my next project!

It was a fantastic shopping experience. Went in to buy a pump for an inflatable bed and was lucky to meet one of their sales representatives who has dedicated all of his life in mastering and acquiring knowledge about inflatable things. We've become good acquaintances and sometimes I'll just drop by to get an update from him about what's new in the world of inflatables.

Considering the store is in the heart of the city and space being a huge crisis factor for several retail businesses, this green shed is smartly planned providing free customer car parks and a yard space. I've always enjoyed shopping at Bunnings. This one has two levels and a huge selection of hardware, tools, outdoor furniture and many more just like in any large format store. If you thought it's small then you must visit the store and May be you've changed your mind after the experience, just like I did.

Highly rate this central downtown Bunnings on Tory Street as whilst they don't have the extensive range of the Mega stores in Lyall Bay, Porirua and Lower Hutt they carry a very impressive range across all hardware store categories, and it's rarely that I can't get what I am looking for - on occasions they have had items which Lyall Bay ran out of or couldn't find - recently I went to Lyall Bay Bunnings to get some stainless steel bits spikes for my building to deter pigeons from landing - was sent to 5 different aisles covering each end of the Mega store - no staff around to assist had to queue for 5 mins upon returning from each aisle visit to wait for customers to be served first at the help desk as no checkout operators and store short staffed - I finally gave up after 45 minutes of wasted time searching the store. The help desk lady at that time now working security and no one at the help desk (4pm on a Friday.....) struggled through WLG rush hour traffic to get to Bunnings in Tory (my normal go to store) and after being pleasantly greeted was escorted by a staff member directly to exactly the item that I was after. The staff are always helpful and personable at this store and it has a lovely atmosphere - it stems from the top and the store always seems to be doing things to improve their customers experience - a recent example being the expansion of the car park to effectively triple what was there before - To me without doubt it is the best hardware store in the central Wellington region.

Was looking for lighting transformer 230/12V, signage said lighting upstairs, so found it in 3rd row (Murphys Law, never 1st row you look..) just 1 left..easy self check out, v helpful assistance

This is a surprisingly well stocked hardware shop given its inner city location and small premises. While not a full warehouse style Bunnings, they do have almost everything you could need, from plants and garden supplies to building supplies, bathroom and kitchen fittings, power tools, paint, outdoor furniture, etc. I have only occasionally come up short when looking for something. The staff are very helpful and experienced and happy to advise you on where to find or how to use a product. If you need something they don't have, the staff can usually suggest which other store would have it. There are two floors of items. As usual for Bunnings, there is often a fundraising sausage sizzle outside on weekends. Beware, chuggers lurk outside on weekdays.

Bunnings in Wellington does a good job of fitting a lot of stock into a smaller footprint. Feels like a full size store while being in the middle of the city. Most of the time when I have been here I have been able to find what I have need. Staff are friendly and helpful.

(Original) Über zwei Etagen kann man alles für Heim und Garten kaufen. Vor allem günstigere Artikel findet man hier. Einige Küchen und Einbausysteme gehören auch zum Sortiment. Die Mitarbeiter sind freundlich, das Geschäft ist wohl sortiert und gut beschildert. Esgibt hier auch Leuchtmittel und Lampen und auch etwas Pflanzen. Durch die zentrale Lage muss man nicht extra aus der Stadt rausfahren.
