Wonderful helpful service from Sarah. Was about to walk out disappointed as the steps advertised as available were not available. Unlike their 2 x large scale competitors in town who cater for almost all household and gardening needs, Placemakers focus on what those in the building trade need - and they do it well. I have recently undertaken quite a technically challenging earthquake strengthening programme of works and cosmetic overhaul of a downtown building and every technical building product specified for use with exception of fabricated steel was available off the shelf. The new Kaiwharawhara showroom/store and attached drive in timber/cladding store is great. Handy location, good parking - all staff are great, friendly and very knowledgeable - awesome array of trade tools and building products - a proper tradies store for Wellington City. Open 7 days a week and trade account (cash or credit) provides very competitive pricing.
