R.YUMMY, Delicious and WOW!! This is a GREAT HOTEL!! The food is snesational and the pub is warm, cozy, fun and has a great atmosphere AND puppy dog friendly!! We drive past lots of pubs and places to eat to experience The New Orleans as often as possible!! Thank you Kerry and your team, a special place to be in a world that needs more pubs like yours!!
C.Great spot as usual. I've been going here since 1991. Great pub food to a high level. Open fire. Real historic character but very open areas, including sunny deck dining looking over the Arrow river. Don't expect the staff to smile these days! Probably overworked as it's hard to find workers in Queenstown. Thank you Covid and Labour Govt.

Similar to the COVID "one in one out" policies in the shops, I would say it's like this in the bathroom here too😂 very cramped!
Sheets make quite a rustle and sounds like you're rummaging through a plastic bag 🤣

A.Our party of four dined at this establishment this week. We all throughly enjoyed our meals. Realistic prices. No complaints whatsoever. Staff friendly and welcoming. On a cold night the fire provided warmth and ambience. Family friendly and pleased the pool table has been done away with.
D.Great pub with a warm and welcoming, local feel. Staff were very friendly and the food was great. My partner and I both had steak, both really well cooked and delicious. Main bit of feedback was that the roast potatoes were too large and not fully cooked in the middle. Overall, I would recommend this place and would go again.

K.Always a good stop off after walking some of the Arrowtown trails. The beer is cold and the wine smooth. A good selection of food and snacks. Reasonably priced. Great to sit down on the back verandah and watch the world go by.
w.Great place to eat out and not break the bank. Despite being really busy because of COVID-19 we were seated fed and watered very quickly. The staff are excellent and really friendly. Would recommend.

M.The place is nice, with fireplace and everything but the food is below average. We stopped for lunch, ordered two lambs and two blue cods, the lambs were so so and the cod was questionably done. None of us can finish the meal. Left with a disappointment with the food. The service and the staff are always good and friendly though. Shame let down by the cook. Perhaps it has something to do with the power being cut down by the heavy snow and didn't get restored until half an hour before we arrived?
J.When visiting Arrowtown we always call into the New Orleans for a drink. We have always enjoyed our visits here, however found it very busy this time due to a wine/food festival that was moved indoors because of the rain. We will return again on our next visit though.
P.We dropped in for a late breakfast as we were driving between towns and found this to be an awesome little pub. They had a couple of open fires going and a relaxed atmosphere. Breakfast was good but it was the general vibe that won us over.

N.Really enjoyed our stay here! We came in early may 2016, and it seemed underutilized. But the room was very nice and clean, and the bathroom was great too. Staff was extremely friendly, and accommodated our request for an additional bed. In addition, they let us use the phone to make several local calls to figure out where we would go next. Full five stars, they were also considerably cheaper than other hotels in the area, so we were really satisfied with our stay here.
B.Stopped by for dinner. It looked like a restaurant so assumed that we should wait to be seated but since there was a table available we just went over before it filled up. Menus were on the table and we had to order at the bar. They had the standard pub menu and then an Asian menu.
The place was quite packed and the food took a while to come but it all did come at the same time. I had the spicy chicken and it was spicy. Nice at the start but the heat built up. The Peking duck looked quite nice, a make yourself duck wrap but the flavours weren't right.
Nice pub food but not really a restaurant to sit and enjoy your food.

T.Grim feel to the place. The venue, itself, looks nice. A large open fireplace and a good amount of comfortable seating. Area outside for drinking and live music on some nights. The clientele, on the other hand, grimy. Tons of loud-mouthed lads around shouting and playing "billy-big-balls" with each other. The beer is overpriced and the pumps are awful, even the bar man said so, took him about 3 minutes to pour me a pint of larger.

M.Rooms comfortable and clean. We were most impressed by the willingness of the chef to oblige, when asked for specific requests not listed on the menu. One of our overseas tourist wished for nothing more than 2 fried eggs and some bread. Granted, with no hassle whatsoever!! A HUGE burger kept our other wee tourist busy (but she conquered the challenge!) and I thoroughly enjoyed the salad, full of goodies. Lovely warm fire to keep us content.

Live music upstairs on a beautiful balcony that gives you a picturesque view of the near river.
After this we ventured inside. I had a salmon based meal ($28 NZ) that was cooked to perfection but obviously tasted great as well.
The staff that I encountered were extremely helpful and joyful.
I would be back here in a heartbeat if I could!

N.We’ve been coming here for about 22 years, recent visit was fast and friendly service, drinks were yummy, tad expensive for wines and cider selection is average. Was nice to have the game on a few tv’s though so we sat outside and had drinks and bar snacks which was a great environment. Can only suggest the calamari comes with lemon wedges and the cauliflower to be spiced with something more flavoursome as it was quite bland 🤷🏻♀️ hopefully in winter they have some kind of outdoor heating too!

J.Pub is probably the best in Arrowtown. Great ambience, music. Walked in from the cold Queenstown air and immediately loved the stone decor and wood fireplace. Open till late, which I didn't expect from Arrowtown.
Hotel is a bit of an inaccuracy. Feels more like an inn. With a pub downstairs and room upstairs. Not a bad thing, just "hotel" makes me think Hilton, not ye ol tavern. Price of room was not too bad, especially compared to expensive Queenstown prices 20 minutes down the road. Only rating 4 stars cos my bathroom had a bit of a weird smell to it. Not a bad toilet smell. Kinda reminded me of chocolate scented condoms in sex ed class.
Dining facilities in the pub are nice. Fancy decor, good food and drink.

M.The hotel is sparse, but good value for the location. It had free wifi that was decent and actually worked and was actually free and unlimited, unlike at a lot of other hotels I stayed in on the same trip. The staff was very friendly and helpful, and accommodating re room setup. The rooms are behind and above the pub, so there's a staircase to carry bags up; no elevator that I saw. There's parking behind the building--there are various areas of parking in the town with different restrictions around. There's 1-hour, 2-hour, and unlimited, each increasingly far away. Arrowtown is very cute and this is right on Main Street in the middle of everything. It's about 20km from queenstown.
The draught beer selection wasn't awesome, and we didn't eat, but the food smelled good.

well, new orleans kind of disappointed us we been there 3 times, first was ok, 2nd time nobody care about us and the 3rd we have pizza but was cold.
well we need to go again and c how that will be, because food is good
