K.Friendly welcoming staff. Very clean and well kept accomodation. Lovely Room. Could do with an air conditioner and more cooking pots as is only one pot in the cupboard.
J.We booked this motel last minute and were very late arriving. The host waited up for us and was so accommodating, going over and above to ensure we had everything we needed for our young family. The unit was perfect and the beds incredibly comfortable! Amazing customer service and would highly recommend this motel to others!
W.It is definitely the best place to stay in Ashburton. Harley is so much more than a host- he is an absolutely lovely person who’s totally focused on his guests. He always gives a helping hand and that’s why it is so nice to stay at this place. And the rooms are spacious, very clean and comfortable. And wheelchair friendly.

A.It was very clean and nicely presented. The staff were so friendly and welcoming. The only downfall I would say is the shower pressure, other than that it was perfect. Also has electric blankets so that was a lovely touch!
E.Our stay at Academy Lodge was brilliant. The hosts are wonderful, and went above and beyond to ensure our stay was comfortable. Our room (#2) was very recently renovated and impeccably clean. The site is convenient but not noisy or cramped, and accommodated our family very nicely. We cannot recommend this place enough and are definitely looking for another excuse to stay.
S.Highly recommend. Cleanest Motel and very helpful owners. Was extremely comfortable bed. We arrived at 11pm and were treated to a nice warm room.

V.Lovely place to visit for relaxing stay. Host's are welcoming and friendly. Bed in room 6 is amazing. Only let down was shower didn't have much pressure other than that very thing was perfect! Well be back at some stage.
J.So many good feels about this place. I didn’t get to meet Alison but Harley has been nothing less than absolutely stellar. He offered to pick me up from the bus stop. Made me feel incredibly at home upon arrival. My next day was heading to Methven during Cyclone Gita and he tried to arrange a ride for me. That fell through but no big deal. Offered to take me to a good spot to hitch if that’s what it came to.
The room was super nice. Clean. Cozy. Nice big sliding glass door, couple of patio chairs out front which would have been amazing if the weather was nice. Mini fridge microwave some plates bowls and flatware. Super nice place. Free guest laundry. WiFi wasn’t free but it was fast and reliable. Location isn’t all that great but there’s really not a lot of accommodation near the center of town. Would be totally fine with a car or bike but on foot it’s a bit far.
Would stay here again without hesitation. About as welcome as I’ve felt since I got to NZ a month ago. Super super nice people!
l.Amazing best motel I have ever been to it's warm, modern fully equipped ,clean and lots of space great for kids free wifi also nice staff not one thing bad about it definitely recommend going there.
J.Nice motel room, clean & tidy. But felt overpriced compared to some other motels we had stayed at. Sorry, but couch in living room really was uncomfortable, needs to be put out to pasture. (end unit closest to the road!)

G.My Brother and I were travelling around the South Island and were looking for accommodation and tried about 4 places >> iether too expensive or they were full >> we came across the Academy Lodge Motel and booked in .
The Proprietor welcomed usin such a warm and friendly manner and showed us our Suit that was large and airy, comfortable and spotless .
Our Beds were comfortable and the facilities were the best >We were also told that if we wanted a really good meal we could show our Key at Robbies Bar and Resturant just about 100 meters down the road which we did and it too was well worth the deal with excelent service.
This is a great place to stay with everything taken care of in a clean friendly and relaxing way ( PS we also had a delightful chat with the owners Mum who is 88 and is a most interesting lovely lady with a very fiendly and interesting things to talk about ) Super stay thanks
