G.I needed a bed for the night and these guys were the only ones that answered the phone and also, importantly, they didn't require a Vax pass. Lovely man who was the concierge, great room at a reasonable price.

T.The room itself was nice and large, with spacious bedrooms and living space.
It would be great for the cleaning staff to check under furniture. We found a lot of rubbish when we moved a couch, including a small bag of drugs.
There were also at least two glasses with large cracks in them.
There is a spa bath in the room that has no plug and no power which was a shame. It would have been nice to unwind after the 6am fire alarm woke us up and we had to walk down 10 floors and back up. We also had no staff supporting residents during the drill and nobody even mentioned it when we checked out.
There is also a lot of Christian propaganda in the room with a bookshelf full of bibles. This was offensive to me and hotels don’t really need to push the beliefs of management on their patrons in my opinion.
M.Mouldy washing machine, called reception for extra supplies and had to wait for a callback. Went the next morning to ask in person as we got no call. Got biodegradable plates and cutlery so it wasn't easy to reuse. Location is good and probably better if you're there for a day or two.
A.I had a wonderful experience here! Great service, an excellent location for anything you need, and a really decent price for a good quality room.
J.Enjoyed the hotel. Tidy and convenient at a good price. I did not appreciate reception calling me at 4pm to tell me to keep our son quiet as his playing on the floor was disturbing the next room. If this was an issue I would suggest investment in better soundproofing! Apart from this I would stay again.

Check in and out was super easy and quick. The staff were quite pleasant and helpful.
The large studio with kitchenette is quite spacious with separate dining area. The room is modern and functional. The bathroom and shower was great. Water pressure was therapeutic.
The only comment I would make is this room didn't seem to warm up enough. While there is a large wall heater in the bedroom, I struggled to keep warm when a cold southerly blew in.
All-in-all, still a good stay and value for money.

E.Hotel is great for its price! However, make up room service is no good. In my 3-day stay, my room was never cleaned and had to request for new towels in the reception. Despite that, still a great stay :) . Excellent location in Auckland CBD. Would recommend for short stay then you don't have to worry about room cleaning service.
A.Just the best room, beautifully clean, with kettle, fridge to make your own coffee. Good lift an even scales to weight luggage. The meal I had Soup an Fish an Chips was beautifully presented an lovely food. Staff here are just the lovliestt an most helpful people.
M.As I walked into The room it had a strong smell of the last guests that had stayed before me. The chair at the table was broken and the room was dimly lit even with all the lights on. Aside from that the bed and bathroom was comfortable and clean and tidy the shower pressure was amazing and the service was exceptional.

J.Absolutely amazing place to stay. We stayed with our 3 children. The rooms are lovely with everything you need there. It's only a few minutes walk to queen street. And even closer to the sky tower.

The room is a studio with two double beds which is superb for family with kids.
It has a small living area and Kitchen. The bathroom is clean.
Although it's in CBD, it's quiet when you closed the window. We had a very good stay there.

H.Very neat and well maintained. Very close to the city centre . The parking is 30$ but if that's one thing to be considered , the car can be parked behind the hotel for just 6$( night parking) or 12$( wilson car park).

F.Location, pet friendly, reasonable price. The room was quite nice. The check in process was smooth and quite welcoming. This will be our go to hotel in Auckland now. Getting a confirmed parking spot helped.
S.10/10 is due to Abraham’s service at the Vie restaurant and the room service was brilliant, speedy and well presented. I experienced the best butter chicken I’d ever had and a 5 star service I thought had disappeared from hospitality.
Very good value staying here. The parking was good for a night in the city. The place felt like I went on holiday outside of Auckland. Class without the snobbery, the atmosphere was blessed with nice music morning and night with absolutely beautiful pieces of art. It’s not hard to see why the evening art classes are a feature. I hope to do one myself one day.
We stayed in the studio room with 2 double beds. View wise it’s not luxurious but we were very happy quality value wise. Bathroom was on the small side but I really liked the amenities. Decor is modern basic. Walls could do with a spot clean but otherwise the room was well presented and clean.
I loved the second tv in the kitchenette area. The desk chair wasn’t the best style only because the legs come out on an angle so with little kiddies I would be aware of this.
We would definitely stay again. The directions from the reception desk to access parking was clear and easy to follow. I only wish they had a small games area for children but I think that is only because we picked a very stormy night to stay and so our entertainment options were limited.
Breakfast was good value and very nice. So I would also recommend booking that for a stress free morning.
C.Staff were kind and friendly. We stayed in the old chapel on the 10th floor. On arrival the kitchen was flooded and we had to call the staff to clean it up. During the night the heat pump leaked and went all over the TV in the lounge. It was clear by the amount of rust on the back of the TV that this was a regular occurrence. I'm just glad I had unplugged my chromecast from the TV overnight.

B.The décor is classy and the city vibe priceless. The two-room suite was perfect for our family—our children were elated once we got in. Staff were tremendously helpful and throughout. Their thoughtful arrangement made our stay a very memorable one.
P.I gave 3 stars for the friendly and efficient staff. The rooms were kept as clean as possible, however the carpets and walls were quite marked. The hotel is overall quite tired and in need of freshening up. Watch out, also for the $30 per day parking fee - something which is declared down the bottom of the page. We missed that! Amenities are basic.
C.Great hotel with super professional, friendly, heloful staff. Spotlessly clean and very convenient positioned. The parking is a nightmare though. Extremely small with tight corners, not really suitable for large vehicles. The layout is too cramped to try and get more vehicles in. Perhaps it would be better to arrange alternate parking options as this has affected my rating. I had to cancel an extremely important meeting as i couldn't get out of the parking garage as my vehicle was blocked by another guest. I do however recommend this hotel if you are not worried about parking.

t.We stayed in studio room with twin beds for one night. The room is very large and clean. The beds are very big and comfortable. The hotel is very close to the city centre with walkable distance to Sky Tower. Since we had to take early flight the next day, the hotel provided us breakfast box with apple, large muffin, sandwich, cereal bar and juice, and they were very delicious.

J.I went to this hotel for a social event, hence didn't really explore much other then its dining area.
It's cozy though, like the ambient and the spacious of the area.
J.Paid for by work however rooms were quite small and of average quality. Certainly nothing fancy here. Floors and walls needed a good scrub. Shame there is no on site facilities (gym, pool etc). Staff were pleasant however nothing more. I'm sure there are better options in Auckland.
N.love stay in this hotel, lovely staff, room soo clean, toilet soo clean....i had wrong date for booked but they can change it...that's really appreciated....and pets friendly .... close with sky tower (Casino) lots of shop around but not really noisy, and the most important i can bring my little fur baby close with me in our room, we'll back again for sure ... for all of you guys who has little fur baby, this hotel really recommend..

B.The room was spacious and quiet. But there were a few things that let the experience down. The location is near the City Mission. This can mean that there are rough sleepers nearby. This seemed to make some people uncomfortable. The staff were friendly and polite. Minor issues with the room were remedied quickly.

R.Room was clean and the staff very friendly and helpful. The location is a short walk from the Viaduct and some other fun locations. It's easy to find. The room didn't have great seals on the window so the Wild Wellington Winds howled past and snuck cold air into the room. The heater worked well though so it all balanced out.

It's around the corner from everything they have a restaurant with good food with breakfast in the morning and u even can bring your pet (yes that is your husband)

T.Location was great, right in the city centre, near Sky Tower. Room size was alright and well equipped. However, it is in need of an air conditioning system instead of having individual stand-alone electrical heater and cooler. Heater was too weak in the chilling days of winter.
G.Clean rooms, friendly staff, but most importantly - QUIET - my room at the back had no street noise, or plumbing noise or next door room noise. Vintage decor which made a change from the stark modern hotels.

A.Our room was nice and clean and the staff were very friendly. We had dinner at the hotels restaurant and the pricing was very fare. They even gave us a 20% discount of our food. Overall was a very enjoyable and pleasant stay.

C.The rooms are nice and cosy just don't open your blinds unless you want to see what's going on in the apartment next to you. Wi-Fi is available on all floors but limited. Not all rooms have access to an elevator!!!!!!! The location is not the best. There are quite a bit of homeless people around the area that steal from tourists. Service was wonderful though. Breakfast buffet was ok.

A.Room was good private, bit noisy if facing adjacent apartments across the block, and the pay to use wifi is a thing of the past real stingey.
N.We were upgraded to a botique room. However the rooms were ultra tiny -- not even enough space to keep bags and open it leave alone walking in the room.
The location is pretty convenient. Lot of restaurants allowed and walking distance from Sky Tower.
G.Great place! Very nice with good staff who are very helpful, the boutique part of the hotel is jew and very good! Kind of small but i think most hotels in NZ are this way! It is located in downtown so you can walk fo a lot of places! Skytower is just 5 min away and the pier is also nearby..

N.Hotel was nice and clean, happy with our room. Restaurant was good for a coeliac, they had a good understanding and the gluten free food was very tasty. Had the lamb koftas and would recommend.
J.Beautiful place great service I'd definitely recommend this place. What I do have a few problems with is it says free wifi well if you call 500mb on each device's free wifi when every other hotel is unlimited wifi. Also you have to pay $3 each for washing machine and dryer and supply your own washing powered. The gym they say they have is about 10 minute walk away. Also my son had an accident in the room and put a hole in the wall we weren't informed until we checked out that their was a fee of $100 basically to patch a wall. Guest's need to be informed about such matters before checking out. I let staff know as soon as it happened and not at any point when I spoke to staff at reception was I ever informed about the price and I spoke to reception staff every day.
H.Good Hotel, with a good location. The staff is very nice and helpful when I had some problems. The rooms are clean and the WiFi is stable and fast, but with a free data limit of 500 MB.
p.We stayed there for 2 nights from june 6-8.. room was good actually. The stay was peaceful but they didnt have trolleys to take all our luggages to 9th floor and made us to carry all of them.. this was quite irritating and about the complimentary breakfast, it was really good...!
A.We spent two nights here after arriving in New Zealand and before beginning our trip through the country. It is a very nice place with friendly employees. We had a nice room in the eighth floor with enough space, a big closet (filled with an electric kettle with tea and instant coffee, a safe, a flat iron and a hairdryer), a big and a small table, two chairs, a confortable bed and a good and clean bathroom.
It is located near Queen Street and is therefore very central. It has a nice little coffee bar called fond(ou) with a super friendly bar keeper, very good coffee and nice breakfast snacks (the breakfast roll is awesome). An absolute recommandation.
A.Well situated, good facilities, decent restaurant, comfy cozy rooms. Have enjoyed my stay for 2 weeks on business. Would stay here again if I am back for more training.
A.The Hotel is top located: close to Queen Street, the Viaduct Harbour, shopping and nice restaurants. We stayed in a Studio room with two Queen beds and it's been clean, with a kitchenette. Unfortunatelly the showers are a bit old and the staff forgot to get us some more coffee pouches. But that's to be forgiven.
We enjoyed our stay although it's def more 3* than 4* premium.
(Try and go to the Shakespear Inn for food and drinks - it's a short 5min walk and cool as)
c.Nice location, clean rooms, 10mins walk into town centre. The staff at the hotel is usually friendly and helpful. Popular place and usually crowded with tourist. Hotel seems to located at the top of hill, going into town is always downhill. Be prepared to walk up. There's a Cafe near the entrance. Didn't try the hotel breakfast but the price seems to be on the high side. 2 mins walk to a subway outlet. Plently of food choices and convenient stores around since its near to town center.
*Con: Air conditioning is stand alone unit and when turn on it is loud. The air con unit is placed just by the bed(see pic). I don't think this would be a good place to stay during hotter seasons.
Otherwise, recommended.
G.This was OK but had to drag our bags up stairs to the room. Breakfast was OK at $12 each. Only problem is people in sleeping bags in doorways around the area. Single beds...arghhhhh. I will read the details properly next time I get a hotel room.
A.Rooms were very small but functional. We had one bathroom to share for four people. They did give us lots of shampoo and conditioner and body wash.
T.I only stayed at this hotel for one night. Extremely good standard for hygiene maintained. From the moment we pulled up we felt taken care of. In fact you can walk to just about anything you need within a few blocks. You definitely will get your monies worth by staying here.
S.Good, clean place with friendly service with a convenient location. -1 star as there is a city mission across the street with a large population of homeless sleeping on the other side of the street. There is however private security that patrols the side of the street with the ACH on it.
L.If this is the City Apartment Hotel I luv it! It's complete with kitchen n washing area. And plus factor it is located right in the city itself where u can walk up to Queens Street. I want to return to the hotel again n stay there for a week?

M.A very pleasant and centrally located hotel in the city. Just 5 minutes from the Skytower, and about 10 minutes from the harbour. The staff are all very friendly and helpful, and the rooms very comfortable and well-equipped.
T.Little but tired and the hotel breakfast was average. Beds comfortable but bathroom quite small. Highly recommended cafe in hotel lobby great coffee and lovely food.

M.For what it was worth, this hotel is a great location as a base when visiting Auckland. Yes, the rooms were small but it is big enough and comfy. After all, I didn't come to NZ to stay the whole time in a hotel room. The were only two negatives, which is prevalent in NZ.1) the price of the room was expensive and this was one of the best cheap in AKL, 2) WiFi availability, cost and quality is awful while the rest of the globe is offering better and free internet service, including the airbnbs in NZ!
J.We stayed at the Auckland City Hotel right at the city center. Decent hotel for the money. But great access to everything. We walked to a museum, a casino, the wharf and the sky tower all from our hotel with no problem. So much to do, sad we only had two days here. Then, off to Rotorua.
W.Excellent location in CBD. Funky decor and friendly staff, from front reception, the bar manager and even the cleaner. Comfy bed and quiet room a definite for a good rest.
P.Had studio room. Comfortable with kitchen hob. Was on the 7th floor at the back so nice and quiet. Handy to everywhere within CBD. Small Superette and liquor store across the road. Value for money. The restaurant on ground floor was superb with excellent food and service. An evening paper was given to me to read whilst waiting for my meal. Nice touch.
R.Awesome place 2 stay Luke at reception was a big help we arrived early as we mixed up check in time but he sorted it out letting us have a wine and juice on the house while we waited great bar manager as well only problem is trying to unload luggage at the site as this is a buzy street didn't realise we could use parking at the rear 2 book in this should go on there page
A.Staff here are absolutely amazing they accommodated us after the last accommodation we had was majorly sub standard. Great room great price and they have facilitated every request even a portacot for my little one. I'll book here again!!!

G.Great city hotel, very close to Sky City which means it's almost in the center of the city. Walking distance from large bus station. With small coffee shop and restaurant on premise, the hotel is chic and modern with above average amenities - housekeeping, room heating/ cooling, iron and ironing board, 1$ water bottles etc. 500mb free WiFi per day was a punishment when Quest on Hobson which is few buildings away gives unlimited wifi..
L.Only car park is little bit expensive and with limited car park places, the location is quite good in Auckland city, and with great value.
I.I really like the room comfort and the food in the restaurant. I will definetily recommend. They also offer a voucher for a deink and being a guest had 20% discount in the meals.

Rooms are good and wifi is free. However there are no added facilities like gym or swimming pool.
S.This is quite good for a budget hotel - we had a boutique suite and it was really very small inside - something not that well conveyed in the photos on the website. Be aware that the rroms are not as big as they seem!
A.Good central location. Biggest problem was the airconditioning unit, it was a portable unit connected to pipes in the wall, the pipes generated too much heat. The bathroom got too hot from the pipes in the wall. The water in the cold water tap in the sink was hot until you ran it a while.
