Really like the suites. Good space. Well laid out. Some great views on upper floors. Like having ranchslider doors in both lounge & bedroom. Consistent standard.

Amazing stay great room spacious one of the bigger ones compared to other hotels in the city. CBD so everything is near lots of food and entertainment

Good central location so it's an easy walk to the Viaduct, Queen St etc. Comfortable and clean accommodation, pleasant staff. My only gripe was that we asked for our two bed apartment to be serviced after the first of a two nights' stay and they only made up one room! We arrived back from the Bledisloe Cup too late to report this to the staff, so we just got on with it. Never mind.

I've sold a number of the Barclay suites over the years. The location is fantastic, the staff are so helpful, the rooms are clean & tidy. If you want to stay at the Barclay Suites, I highly recommend it.

Excellent accommodation, clean room with all amenities provided including washer dryer which is very handy when you're on holiday. Views were stunning, great internet connection and very comfy lounge area. Staff were very welcoming and helpful. We loved it here, what a treat.

The location is perfect for city activities. Places of interest, restaurant, shopping is just few minutes away. The staff at reception and was helpful and welcoming. The cleaning staff manager Rahul Deshmukh was also very helpful in providing local knowledge about places to visit and best restaurants around . Kitchen was well equipped and bedrooms were cozy. On downside- The in-apartment facilities were not very charming including some carpet damages, blocked bathroom sink and one of the bathroom light was not working, bedroom alarm clock was broken. In all bit of facility maintenance was missing. However all this did not bother our fun holiday here. A bigger shower head would be a recommendation.

I booked two nights ‘Romantic package’ (romancing myself!). Was upgraded to a lovely suite on the 24th floor. The bedroom had a comfortable bed, lots of pillows and Sky in the room. The kitchen was fully equipped and the bathroom included washer/dryer. Noise from roadworks well blocked out when sliders are closed. Free parking close by and lovely staff. Thank you.

The everlasting road works makes it tough for hotels on Albert street but that doesn’t change that this is a good place to stay. One side of the hotel has beautiful views of the harbour and the other side has views of the city. The rooms are clean and comfortable with all the facilities needed for a relaxed stay.

Tidy, clean well equipped room. Amazing city views. Staff super friendly especially Raj who made us feel very welcomed. Would highly recommend

We had a bit of trouble with our booking to begin with however once everything was clear, Barclay provided us with free breakfast. The rooms were affordable & the service went beyond great. We thank you for communicating with us & ensuring our stay was comforting & safe.

Stayed in 2 bedroom apartment, lovely and clean and well furnished. Everything that u wld need including laundry. Really convenient location right in CBD would have given 5 stars apart from the noise on Sat night right through to about 3am. We were on the 24th floor and the noise from queen str felt we were neighbours.

The hotel was great but at night it was very bright.

Centrally located with restaurants and shopping, New World, the Queens wharf ferry. Unfortunately there was a lot of construction on the road nearby and other nearby areas were run down.. about 50+ rough sleepers in the morning. The staff were lovely.. Dewi was very helpful and kind as was the security guard on night duty. The elevator was key card access only. And the lobby is just that a front desk and the elevator. Some long term residents stay. We finally saw another family that looked like tourist. We stayed in 2 Bd deluxe suite and it had all the amenities. It was a clean and comfortable, modern looking. The beds, pillows and towels were very comfortable. The only thing was loose faucets on the sink and shower head. The staff offered to change us to another room but we were fine. The view was nice. Very close to sky tower but we were on the other side but had a small view of the harbour. The offer of free gym passes to Anytime fitness was a great perk. It would have been nice to know that parking was $35 per night. We didn’t see the price when we originally booked. It was a nearby parking lot that locked its gates at midnight. All in all our family of 5 enjoyed our stay at Barclays suites.

Spacious, quiet & clean room. Comfy bed, great location and enjoyable view. This isn’t the sky city grand but its a very reasonable standard for the price - You get what you pay for. Had a massage downstairs which was amazing. + They gifted us wine & chocolate on arrival to celebrate our anniversary.

I stayed in an ‘executive room’, FYI, so everything I say will be relating the executive room. I’m not sure about other rooms as I only stayed in an executive room. It is good for the amount of money that you pay. It is by no means a Hilton, but it is still quite a nice hotel. The hotel staff are very friendly and are happy to assist you. It is clean and tidy. The bathrooms are quite big and spacious with nice showers. The beds are fairly comfortable, you can expect to get a fairly good night sleep with them. There is a tv in the living room and the ‘master’ bedroom with a sky box (or ‘decoder’) attached with a good selection of channels. The condition of the room was good aswell. The walls, floor, doors, windows, furniture, appliances, etc were all in good shape. The room is quite spacious and had no problems housing my family of 4. One annoying thing about this hotel is that the elevators are quite slow. There are only 2 elevators and a LOT of floors so I can imagine that’s why. Overall, a nice spacious hotel in good condition with nice bathrooms and friendly staff.

The staff here are amazing. Have had nothing but courtesy shown by all. Rooms are spotless and they are more than happy to help with any enquiries. Would highly recommend The Barclay Suites to any looking for accommodation when visiting Auckland.

This was by far the cheapest accommodation I could find in Auckland CBD so I was amazed by how good it was. Our one bedroom apartment was on the second to top floor so from the floor to ceiling windows in both the bedroom and living room we had exceptional views of the harbour and the city. Both rooms had sliding doors that opened to a small balcony. There was a huge TV in the lounge plus another in the bedroom (with cable). The kitchen and bathroom had good amenities, especially the washer/dryer. It was really clean. Comfortable bed, soft fluffy towels. Our booking included breakfast which was room service and really, really good. I had a smoked salmon bagel which came with lots of avo and greens. If you’re driving it is a bit awkward when you arrive because the car park (which you pay extra for) is a block away but due to construction (in Nov 2019 anyway) you have to drive a couple of blocks to get to it. But you can pull up out the front, check in and then go park the car.

Highly reccomend Barclay suites for perfect cbd location in auckland city. Also not only for location but for the special service given by staff. We were a large group and the hospitality and kindness we received was exceptional! One of our rooms wasn't quite the right fit for our requirements (no fault of Barclay Suites) and they accomodated our requirements perfectly. Would stay again A+++

Great location. We had a free upgrade to the 23rd floor and had amazing views from our balcony. The accommodation had everything we needed and more (comfy bed, lounge and dining areas, fully kitted out kitchen including microwave, toaster etc and even a dishwasher, washer/dryer in the bathroom. Lifts a little slow but that was the only down side. Staff very helpful.

Located in the middle of the city, very near to harbour as well. The room is very clean and big. I love staying there except one, their reception is kinda busy when we checked in, i booked two rooms but they gave me only one. Apparently, there are some errors in the system. They insisted that I only booked for a room, until I showed them my booking confirmation. The lady from the receptionist is very kind to help us but it takes quite some times to fix it. Other than that, room is exceptional, shower is nice, big bed and has a very good scenery from our room.

Nice spacious apartment with good facilities. Kitchen wasn’t very well equipped and breakfast wasn’t great but overall ok. Housekeeping didn’t show up until 7pm one of the days, we had to call reception twice to ask them to send someone.

Had a 23rd floor apartment which was great(and very clean) for two people. Had a large fridge, washing machine and dryer and other appliances. Separated living and bed area. The Location was right in the heart of town. Only problem was parking was located off site and required extra payment. The views were spot on.

We stay here often for work. The room are spacious and clean. They are started to look a little dated but you are in the heart of the city and its a easier walk everywhere. The staff are also really friendly and helpful

Great place and the room was perfect with seperate rooms and toilet facilities. Only downfall was the washing machine/dryer did not work and so had to get management to dry clothes. Put us off using the machine. Highly recommend 👍

Very nice hotel room with great facilities and lovely staff. I'm always a little put off when hotels say that WiFi is included but you find out you only get a certain amount of data before you have to pay. In this day and age, it's crazy that this still exists. The beds were really comfy and the room itself was huge, so you definitely can't complain at that. Mind you, it wasn't cheap!

Great place to stay in the CBD, Room was beyond what we thought we had booked, with awesome views. Great staff who were helpful and friendly.

Nice place to stay. The rooms are very well equipped with all the necessary stuff. Has gym and other recreational activity. Queen street is just a 2 mins walk away. The staff is very polite and professional. Convenience stores are in close proximity. The biggest attraction of Auckland -- Sky tower is just 2 blocks away. The suites on the top floor have a very good view. All in all I highly recommend this hotel

Great experience and would recommend to anyone wanting to stay. There were basic things not available such as dish cloth. We left a note if we found issues. The only thing is with the road works access was hard to find. Also receptionist female just needs to speak slower being a different language was a barrier. Make sure you ask.the question. Parking for $35 great and so central to town. Thank you.

I won myself a free 60min spa voucher at Barclays. It was one of the best combination massages I’ve ever got. Apple did a wonderful job. Felt super relaxed and relieved after my session. Very friendly staff. The place was very well maintained and clean . :) will definitely visit again !

Great location and very tidy room. Very good front desk. We had made a mistake with our booking and not booked enough rooms but the front desk was very accommodating and resolved the issue for us without any fuss

Modern and sleek. Wish the switches to turn on things like the oven and stove top were better labeled. Kitchen is lacking in some basic materials, such as a pan for making scrambled eggs. Overall the service is good with pleasant staff and the suite is very clean.

Not sure why so many are complaining about the noise and street works, as once finished it will make life more easy for many people, although I do feel sorry for the many businesses that will suffer until then. As for this apartment I think it's great very clean and modern even has a portable AC unit. I guess some expect a 5 star full service, at $195 for 3 of us good luck finding that value with a hotel...

It was comfortable for 4 adults (2 room, 2 bath). Good location except for construction of a new subway line on Albert St. directly in front of the hotel. Construction time began at 7am. Other than minor inconvenience getting around it, it was fine. We had kitchen, dining area, and living room at a great price. Didn't really use kitchen as they served us free breakfast (served in our suite) because we booked directly with hotel. Otherwise breakfast was a minimum $19 each! Close to port and the Sky Tower. We did "hop on, hop off" bus tour that had stops at each.

The location of the hotel is SUPERB. Most hotel rooms look large on the site with clever positioning of the camera, etc, but these rooms really are spacious. The suites were well appointed and included a washer/drier and dishwasherhandy. Only good this about this place was being so close to town.

Lobby is very small and in front of road construction. Taxi driver couldn't find way to the front of the hotel and had to drop us off across the street. We were very disappointed until going up to our 2 bedrooms suite which is quite spacious with kitchen and clean. Our room view isn't nice, facing towards another building and can hear construction noises. Just that location is good, short walking distance to restaurants, stores, supermarket..

Really nice suites. Staff were lovely. Did struggle a little bit to find it and the car park but I think that was mainly from road works

I stayed here for a week and could not have been more impressed. The room is big because it is an apartment. Dropped off our bags because our room was ready. Staff went over and above to make us feel welcome. We were greeted by a lovely *** who gave us lots of helpful information.

I loved our stay. The staff is super friendly and the appartments so comfortable and affordable. Is super well located and we had an A+ service. I would definitely book with them again. The only thing that may be a problem for some oeopeois that the air conditioning is portable so it doesn't really cool the room down that much but for me that was ok.

This place makes a nice change from the hotel scene in Auckland. You get a lounge room separate to the bedroom and a kitchenette. Really good for an extended stay. The front desk staff are all super friendly and know their stuff, so ask for recommendations and see what exciting places you'll get to visit that you wouldn't have found otherwise! Reasonably nice hotel. Helpful staff. Well located in the city centre and easy to walk to and walk around, but a little bit difficult to drive to, and parking in the area is expensive. Internet service costs extra and is a bit poor, but serviceable. Bedrooms a bit small but comfortable. All in all a decent experience but could be a bit more polished.

It's important to note that the hotel is on top of a hill, meaning that if taking the Skybus, you'll need to drag your luggage up the hill which can be quite tiring. That said, the rooms were fairly large and had a decent view of the Harbour. The bed was comfortable, but the shower was very small. The units do include a washer/dryer, but our one was broken during our stay. To their credit, the hotel addressed this by letting us use the washing machine in an adjacent unit. A portable air conditioning unit is provided in the living room only, so the bed room does get rather hot in the day. There is no central air con. This wasn't a problem for us, but I suspect it will become an issue during the summer.

The suite was a good size... however it was only set for 3 when we booked for 4 people..there was nothing to wash the dishes with..no light bulb in the lamp, and 1 of the ladies got a shock when she reached in to turn it on

Shower was extremely dirty-grime came off on my fingertips.. Air conditioning blew out warm air.. King bed was 2 singles put together.. Breakfast was fabulous!!!! Fantastic location.. Could walk everywhere!!

We were issued a top floor suite after booking through reception from Australia, which was a very pleasant surprise. They can often do it better price wise and request wise this way opposed to the net. The unit was clean and well stocked, very modern and large with a great view over the city to bridge and beyond. We couldn't have wanted more really. The staff were very friendly and steered us in the right direction on several occasions. We stayed for 4 days before a cruise back to Australia on the Celebrity Solstice. Pier was a short walk from Barclay and we were able to walk our bags down no problem. SO convenient in that respect. 10 out of 10 for us. Thanks Barclay we will be back for sure.

On the 6th floor, very noisy, could hear bottles being put into bin from bar downstairs. Bed was comfortable, very good sized room, didn't realise until the morning that there were earplugs available. Room needed a makeover but otherwise was suffice.

Great central location spoiled by city rail link works just outside of my room. So get your earplugs ready in the morning. Also you'll need a credit card or 600$ cash safety deposit which was a problem for me as I don't have a credit card. The staff were helpful though, they waited for half a day for me to sort this out. The only other issue was check in time I came 15 min before 3 hoping to drop my bags and run but the room wasn't ready even at 3 or 3.05 so I got very frustrated as I was running late for event. Otherwise nice apartments with sea and skytower views, and also clean.

Good location very central. Indian restaurant is nearby and walkable. There are few people who master their craft in this world of fast pace and distractions so it was great to meet someone who has. Would definitely stay here again but would request a higher floor or the front of the building.

The place seemed old and run down and understaffed. The apartments are within easy walking of the CBD although there was roadworks outside that carried on to early evening but that is the same for most of Auckland CBD at the moment because …

Absolutely love that I discovered this place. On a positive the young *** at reception was exceptionally helpful friendly and handled our country kiwi chick smart assume bantering with great ease. We all felt very comfortable here and I will ask to stay at the Barclay Suites on my next Auckland visit.

We stayed here for 3 nights in October 2016. The reception staff were excellent, friendly and very helpful to out-of-towners. The suites are very conveniently placed downtown and more than adequate for a few days stay.

Location was awesome, well stocked kitchen and in room laundry facilities, spacious room. Only issue was there is only one working lift so it takes around 15 min wait each time.

Big room, clean, right at downtown Auckland. staff are friendly, except you can hear music from nearby clubs all night long, i stay at 5th floor, its not that loud but enough to notice the bass vibration, you can smell lower level restaurant is cooking BBQ, bed and pillows arE dated. avoid lower level if you have to stay there

In A Nutshell: -The Barclays Suites is located right smack in the middle of everything Auckland. -Just a few steps from shopping on Queen Street, good eats, the casino, wharfs, the Parnell & Ponsonby hoods, inactive volcanos, etc... -The free wifi limits you to 1GB per day (1:55pm start/end). -Parking is right around the corner in a leased garage & costs $35 per day. -This place is literally an apartment. -Ample living space (separate living room, balcony, dining area, queen bed, bathroom w/ W/D & a kitchen w/ enough tools to cook homemade meals). -The W/D machine is one of those combo ones so it takes a while to dry. -The area is safe, mostly tourists. -Lot's of tourists from all over the world stay here, I saw a couple small families, a big group of bachelors & many couples. -The price is very good. Overall, the location is great & it's comfortable like a home away from home.

First time here, loved it. Room was perfect and views are stunning. Had a bit of hiccups with the parking but staff were great. Would definately go back.

Barclay suites was amazing! The rooms made me feel like I was at home and I loved the view, there's a little kitchen in the suites with things like toasters, pots,pans etc and the service was amazing, I called for room service because I couldn't find the tv remote and the room attendant replaced the entire tv in our room with a new one and a new remote, the shower was clean and the bathroom was presentable, would definitely go there again!

Garage was hard to find and ended up having to park in two separate garages and pay twice. No valet or unloading area, uphill from the garage to hotel. No central air conditioning in the room.

The guest rooms had washing and dryer machine. It also had a kitchenite. The bedrooms were small. The location was within walking distance to the cruise ship pier.

Has a very friendly staff. One nice thing is if your stay is over at the apartment-hotel, you can leave your bags for a few days if you are heading to other place in Auckland/New Zealand.

Views on the higher levels are great. Rooms comfortable but a little dated. Front desk staff are fab & really helpful.

The room was nice and clean, but my blinds kept breaking and the door did not have a lock on it. They did send someone to install one right away, though.

Centrally located in Auckland, close to everything, including some top eateries. Clean apartments, serviced daily, comfortable and warm (even in the middle of winter) and very reasonably priced. The guys on the front desk (especially Arie or Alex) will go out of their way to make your stay memorable. They suggested some fine restaurants and their advice was much appreciated. Whilst heading out one evening Alex suggested Mudbrick Vineyard Restaurant on Waiheke Island for lunch the next day; by the time we'd returned he'd already organised a table for us at Mudbrick. We couldn't believe where we were seated (right at the front window overlooking the bay with a superb view back to Auckland). Alex and Arie are the type of concierges who can organise anything; Barclay Suites management, you should consider giving these boys a substantial pay increase, they make customers want to return...!!!

It's ok. Great location, staff were helpful if you ask but don't expect them to take much initiative. There is currently a lot of road works in the area. Don't simply follow the SatNav you will end up going round in circles for 15min

Great stay over location. Clean and modern Very reasonably priced If you book there you need Roto be aware of the major road works in Albert street. Enter from queen st then right up wtndome st and left at top on to Albert st and your right there

Clean spacious room and generally helpful reception - but very noisy free-standing air conditioning system (that had been incorrectly set up when we arrived) and fiddly WiFi that would randomly kick us off.

Central location with close if a little expensive parking. Room was clean and tidy. Only downside was the sofa bed that was very uncomfortable for an adult.

Centrally located on Albert Street, easy walking access to Viaduct Harbour, Queen Street, city restaurants, Sky Tower etc. Best part is it is in the center of the city and very near to Skytower. Customer service was fantastic Arie was really helpful ( give him a raise) The amenitys offered were a lot than you would find in a standard hotel Earplugs are offered which is good because auckland is noisy The facilitys are modern looking which is appealing Overall i rate this 5/5 I would reccomend this place
