A.Stayed here for a night, accidentally slept in ...very sorry btw and the person in charge was very nice when we left. Got ready in 10 mins and didn't say anything about it! It is a hostel type of thing so don't expect it to be luxury, its more like a nice couple of days and go out and see the city has to offer. Also a 5-10 min walk into the city so that was awesome.
K.The location is walkable for most of the CBD. The lodge is generally clean and fairly quiet. Parking is available on street, with a 2 hour restriction between 8 and 6, Monday to Friday. The kitchen area appears to only be cleaned once a day, so can get a bit messy of other guests don't wash up. The only issue that was not ideal for me was some of the other long term guests in the shared dorm had developed a funky smell. However, I managed to change bunks and get away from the shell. Considering the cost and location the lodge is good value.
S.We booked the same day we arrived at the airport and they wrote us back in a sec. The place was clean and comfy. Me and my friend were in a private room, we had all we needed. The man at the reception was very kind to us and lent us chargers for our phones and also let us had a late check out. We absolutely recommend this place to stay near the city center.

Only saw one toilet on quite a fair amount of rooms, showers has some mold in it.

A.It has the necessary to make it a comfortably enough stay. Great mattresses. Small kitchens and some of the basics missing. There is sometimes a strange vibe to the place, but it can have great people staying. Ideal for someone who enjoys a quite hostel.

Unexpectedly, I had to drive from Wellington to Auckland in one! day. So I arrived at 2 am and this was the only hostel with 24h reception I could find. I got there and called them. Apparently the reception closes at 7pm... Nevertheless, a really nice guy opened the door for me and I got a nice room!
Awesome staff! I will definitely come again (but earlier I promise ;) )

A.Affordable but just ok. Everything was in need of repair. Good location easy walk to Queen Street and waterfront. Bathrooms and toilets were NOT clean. Request room away from busy noisy street. Parking is only on street and is limited during business hours
R.I stayed here in winter 2015, and I stayed in a room out the back, just by the garden. I didn't have any problems with it. The room was cold at night, but I just simply asked for an extra blanket and it was no problems.
There were some cleaning deficiencies, and I pointed them out to the owner, she was very apologetic, and she had the staff clean it as soon as possible. Probably not the cleanest hostel I have stayed in, but for the price is was fine.
The kitchen was always kept clean by the girls. They were always checking on it, cleaning the oven, and the dishes. The kitchen was small, so when it came to peak times, it was difficult to cook in there.
All the staff seemed to be Japanese, strangely. They were all very nice, your typical Japanese. :)
It's located in a nice quiet part of Auckland, just outside the CBD. There was a convenience store about a 7 minute walk away, which was pricey, there was also a Countdown 15 minute walk away. The CBD was an easy 15 minutes walk.
The Wi-Fi was free, which was rare for Auckland and NZ in general. It was a bit annoying to have to use a time code for it. It was also a little bit hit and miss at times. It was generally good enough for your e-mailing and Facebooking.
One problem I had was with the pricing. On her website, she said it was this price for winter, but when you tried to book that price, it was oh no, it's too busy for that rate. I have too many people. Ok, that's fine, all you have to do was change it on the website, but she didn't want to, because she got so much business from the fake rate. After about 3 weeks of staying there, you would be able to go onto a weekly rate, which was still not as low as the one on the website, but still a good price.
E.Stayed at a private bedroom for 2, shared bathroom and shower. Laundry room available for use (2x2 NZD for a load, same for dryer). Backyard available for chilling. Overall, good. Thanks!
P.Old-fashioned and not well maintained backpacker. Could be perfect with new paint and cleaned. Two kitchen quit small but correct because there are not so much people. Confortable living room. Facilities are neither clean nor dirty (could be better but it’s fine). Large and clean double room with several furniture to put our stuffs. Free Unlimited Wifi in Nz is really rare so I put one more star only for that.

Staff is very friendly. It's close to Auckland CBD but not too close, so the area is quite calm.
R.super friendly, funny & light hearted owner, sima. She went out of her way to accommodate us & make sure we were happy with everything during our stay. Very homely hostel with lots of other friendly travellers to chat to. Great location, 10mins from city center, 5mins from k rd. & ponsonby (shopping/cafe areas), 5mins from super market, 3mins from nice park.
J.Quite nice rooms. Nice staff. Had to park on street about 10mins away. Did not like the bathrooms but I guess as to be expected when sharing with everyone staying at the lodge.

They even have a big backyard behind. Bbq equipment is there for used.
However the waterheater is not function well, get shocked with d cold water suddenly while having a hot hower and it happen during winter time.
A.Perfect hostel if you look for a place just out of the center, but not too far, you can walk there easy. The hostel is not right for you if you're looking for a party hostel. The wifi is also a big plus!
L.Good and cheap hostel, close to Auckland City centre, clean facilities, friendly staff, a bit noise if you are in the rooms downstairs because the place is an old house and you can hear everybody walking down the aisle but nothing too serious

j'ai réservé 6 nuits dans cet hôtel, j'ai passé un très bon moment. Sam est très agréable et serviable. C'est très calme comme emplacement. Les chambre sont simple mai pas besoin de plus. Je recommande cet endroit pour les jeunes qui veule se faire au décalage horaire mais pas pour ceux qui veulent faire des soirée tous les soir.

Freundliche Menschen an der Rezeption, die sich sehr bemühen, aber teilweise komische Gäste. Das Zimmer war ordentlich, allerdings fanden sich an der Wolldecke noch Haare der vorherigen Gäste. Es wird wohl nur das Laken gewaschen, welches man zwischen sich und die Wolldecke legt. Aus den unteren Zimmern schaut man auf einen Zaun und Müll und die Wände sind so dünn, dass man seinen Nachbarn extrem laut schnarchen hört. Die Bäder könnten und sollten sauberer sein und vor der Küche habe ich mich etwas geekelt.

Es un hostel un alejado unas cuadras del gran centro de Auckland en un barrio tranquilo. El hostel en general estranquilo. La cocina es pequeña pero tiene varias ollas y utensilios para cocinar. Hay varios baños y duchas. La atención del personal es buena.
Un comentario especial: la habitación 0 (cero) da al frente de la casa y no está muy aislada del ruido y luces de los autos que pasan para entrar a la autopista.
Si están buscando descansar bien les sugiero que no elijan esa pieza.
