I have been here for managed isolation. I was in solo room which was good. Excellent service across board. If I could point out something to improve could be vegetarian food options. Overall excellent. IBIS Team you rock❤️❤️ You frontline people make NZ a best place to stay mainly in such tough times👏👏👏👏👏

This review reflects on my 14 day isolation here at Ibis Auckland..I had already organised my own accommodation through a family friend whom was giving me his unit whilst he was away..But mandatory isolation by Nz Government changed that.
1/A smooth Transition from Brisbane airport to Auckland airport with very few people a good job from security and airport staff.
2/Pick-up from Auckland by Bus no problems.
3/Check -in procedure at hotel was well done with army, police, medical staff, hotel staff all so welcoming, professional doing there part.
4/Once finished with all the checks done..we all finally got to our rooms after a long day.
5/Reception to hotel staff, security, cleaners, thankyou all for looking after our needs its great to be home.
6/Finally the fellow kiwis you meet was an awesome feeling..new friends along the way.
7/Final day presented with a Ministry of health release form.Thanks.

All of the reasons you might want to stay here: Service is great, staff are superbfriendly, seem genuinely happy (mgmt may be doing something right haha) and want to help. The bar has a good selection. It's in a good area right next to the motorway, close to the city but far away enough to not be in the CBD. Train is a 5 min walk away maximum, under 20min ride to the city and under $5. 24hr petrol station across the road. Running track (if you like running). Food is good for the price, lunch menu is affordable. Has an open, comfortable outdoor area. Gated parking, and if it's full you can hand your keys to reception and they will fetch your vehicle or park it once there are spaces available. I stayed in 1068 & 2052 - both had a good amount of light, tree in the window to block traffic and provide privacy. Good place for business/professional gatherings, conferences, concerts at Mount Smart, Vector Arena. They are updating their gym, might be finished by now.
Things to consider: rooms seem to be soundproof but you can hear everything in the hall.
That's all I've got! Stayed here twice over the last 3 weeks, 4 nights in total. Thanks team, many hotels have kinks as expected.. You seem to be running a tight ship and have created the perfect atmosphere.

The stay was lovely, we actually booked in 1 hour before we arrived as we ran away from our original accommodation. The staff was lovely and helpful, the food in room service and restaurants were amazing also, same with coffee. The only reason I gave 4 stars is that there was no free WiFi, which is now available even at the cheapest backpackers. Free guest wifi was limited and you needed to pay extra $10 for 24hrs for full .

Arrived after 10pm and i was warmly welcomed by Roan the duty manager. She breezed through the formalities and sorted my parking problem with ease and a big smile. Facilities are shared between the Novotel and Ibis and on this occasion the novotel was full but my ibis room was perfectly adequate and the bed linens were cool and smooth. I was very happy with my one night stay and will be back.
M.
Venue is shared with Novotel. Room very clean, has bar/restaurant and spacious outside dining area. Parking gets full but more parking not too far away. Friendly staff :) Despite near busy street and motorway, it was very private and quiet. We loved our time so much we will return, and signed up too!
S.
Basic, but perfectly adequate. Rooms quite small and plain with afterthought bathroom built in to the corner, but clean and warm. Windows don't open so can get a little stuffy. Buffet breakfast as you would expect. Room service prompt, menu a little limited. Got charged extra for Wi-Fi - not what you expect in this day and age. Fine for a short stay.
K.
The standard studio rooms are quite small and probably only appropriate for 1 or 2 night stay. Not sure what the bathroom story is but looks like a half of a farm water tank has been placed in the room! No hand towel provided with our stay. Bottom sheet on bed didnt even cover the whole mattress?
And why no free wifi...really in this day and age!! You can get free wifi in shopping centers now and lesser rated accommodation so why not here and they want $10 a night for it!!!
Really quite average, was only convenient for location.

I booked this hotel to be close to the Pop Up Globe in Ellerslie. I was greeted by smiling concierge who booked me in quickly and efficiently. The room was very clean with a wonderful self contained shower room. A good lounge area with some wonderful staff. It was my birthday whilst I stayed and the staff gave me a few extras. Most appreciated. Very reasonably priced within easy reach of Central Auckland.
S.
Great hotel short stay. Loved the complimentary later checkout time. The wifi offered was generous, easy to use and satisfying fast enough to actually work too.
Nice flexible approach to parking including allowing a mid evening excursion without adding more charges.
Bed was comfortable and shower was nice and hot. What more could you want.
a.
The accommodations were extremely comfortable, despite initial appearances. The amenities in the room were completely functional and everything was maintained by the custodial staff regularly and to a high standard. The breakfast service featured a large variety of breakfast standards. While it's not 5 star food, it's definitely not shabby for a quick start. The conference rooms were professional looking and spacious.
R.
Very happy with my stay here. Staff were great, location is great and the food at the in-house restaurant is sensational. This is the first hotel I have stayed at where I have enjoyed everything I ate and never felt like leaving to go outside the hotel to find food elsewhere. The building itself is beautiful and the facilities are great. Very good idea having the ibis built on to the Novotel and sharing common areas.
The only minor annoyance was parking - but staff did a good job of organising an alternative.
Also the fridge was faulty, with the compressor running continuously which meant that anything that was put in the fridge froze after a few hours. This was not a showstopper for me though.
N.
Check in process was easy. Staff were friendly and informative. Found our room easily. Room was clean and as described.
Only downside (we are not regulars at hotels) was that we had an issue getting tv and electronics working. Turned out we needed to put our key card in slot by the door. As the lights still worked without this we were a bit confused. There was also a loud party going on outside until the wee hours of the morning which disturbed our sleep.
Overall however we had a pleasant stay and would recommended Ibis Ellerslie to others.
J.
Restaurant staff are fantastic but food was inconsistent, breakfast was the biggest issue with dinner generally been good. Rooms are adequate and well presented for the most part some training in bed making wouldn't go astray tho.
J.
Room has all amenities needed, shower had good pressure and heat-although the bathroom setup did feel a little like you are walking into a portal loo! Everything was nice and clean upon arrival. Restaurant staff were amazing in their customer service and the food was fantastic. Concierge was also lovely.
M.
Awkward to find unless you alrwady know how to get there...the GPS will get you to the street address, but NOT to the hotel entrance, as you can't enter directly from the road.
Small rooms, but clean and well fitted. Bathrooms are small, but have everything they need to.
The food in the restaurant is great quality. Nice and juicy meat, without being greasy or sloppy.
The front of house staff neglected to mention the requirement to pay for parking separately...there's a machine just outside the foyer to do this.
T.
On arrival, we had issues with the payment options - we had provided a credit card but the holder was at another hotel as we could not all fit in this one. So we had to get them to fill out a form - tracking them down in Auckland. Next we found out about the carpark fee NOT MENTIONED ON THE WEBSITE - 15.00 per night. They cut this down to 7.50 per night for the two vehicles and sent us off to unpack with a voucher for a complimentary drink nice diversion! Our rooms were tiny - twin beds, nowhere to put our suitcases which we needed to keep out as there were no drawers to put the clothes in. There was a wardrobe housing the using plus a kettle, two cups and spoons. Glasses were in the bathroom - were one would usually find surfaces covered in faecal matter if one was to swap.
Would have liked to have wine glasses or small plates available should I wish to have nibbles in my room. The staff were very friendly and assisted where able - even providing a cork screw. However waking both nights at midnight when the alarm in the room went off was not fun - I couldn't find out how to pull it from the wall, or being woken up at 5am Sunday morning by exiting tourists. The staff did try (after two phone calls) to get them to be quiet but that didn't work too well.
Overall, would I stay there again? No. The bed was comfy, and my company was great, but the overall experience was disappointing. Sorry Ibis - I did expect more.
H.
Last minute decision on a VERY busy weekend: staff helpful and friendly.
Chose the Ibis (as included breakfast) because our stay only one night (room size immaterial for one night).
Despite being advised rooms were "quite small" ours was adequate (king).
The double-glazing on window meant we barely noticed road noise through our leafy-green view.
Have stayed before and will stay again.
J.
Room spotless pillows rather uncomfortable. Air conditioning very noisy and console was too bright whole room illuminated. Doors slamming and people in corridors shouting until early hours. Bar expensive for drinks meal/buffet was good value for money.breakfast fantastic selection. Staff extremely helpful and pleasant
S.
Nice room for 2, very comfortable bed, very friendly staff. I think at $59 per head the dinner buffet is not good value, I think the bar food menu is better value! Very nice buffet breakfast though
B.
Ok stay - friendly and helpful staff. Clean and tidy as you would expect. Restaurant meals somewhat small for the price and had to wait 30 minutes to be served dinner after ordering. Otherwise no issues.
J.
We had a most enjoyable stay even though we were hoping to be upgraded. The beds were very comfortable and the linen of a good quality.
Our family came to visit us for a meal in the bar and they made good comments about the atmosphere in that area.
T.
Clean & tidy but very basic and a bit tired. The Bathroom (toilet and shower cubicle) was an acrylic shell stuck in the corner of an already very small room. Does not justify the price. It's only redeeming feature is its location to the hospital next door if you need to be there early. The $15 overnight parking fee is another annoyance when already paying over $200/night for not much...
D.
Very nice rooms, albeit sightly small. Feels very modern, and everything worked great (breakfast was awesome too). Only complaint is that the outlets are all on one side of the room, which makes things somewhat difficult if you're on the other side.
G.
Nice hotel, very clean, very friendly staff, great breakfast. Only criticism is the hair dryer was lethally hot, no temperature control and nearly burnt my scalp. I'm surprised it's legal. Apart from that I would stay there again and definitely reccommend it.
M.
Friendly and accommodating staff, with a very tidy room and good internet connectivity. Very central location that was easy to get to, and from, everywhere I needed to go during my business trip.
While I was able to get a pass for the carpark, on a couple of occassions the park was full, and at night I got the impression that if you left you might not get a park when you return. The only other improvement I could suggest would be a microwave in the room.
J.
I was disaapointed that when checking in reception was prepared to charge for the included breakfast as I had previously clarified this prior to booking. Get the booking linked to the package and no more curstomer being left with feeling you are on the make. I enjoy staying at this hotel due to convenience and location ut having to make the point on the deal at reception is NOT something I expect.
The Asst Manager who served us on check in and at check out was absolutely fantastic.
K.
Well located, secure parking, comfortable bed, but rooms are on the small side, and the bathroom is no frills. Breakfast was all you would ever need. Happy to recommend for a budget hotel
K.
Definitely would stay here again. Good budget hotel in a great location. You will have to pay extra for things like parking and WiFi. The free gym was basic but nice. Service was awesome and helpful.
S.
What an awesome stay we had. We only wish we had known about this place before we might have visited Auckland more often. This would be the nicest Ibus we have ever stayed in. The location was great for what we wanted and they were so accomodationg in letting us park our vehicle there while we went and stayed our second night at the Mercure in Cyystoms Street so we didn't have to try and navigate our way through the traffic as we come from a small country town and were a bit overwhelmed by the traffic.
K.
I organized a group of 30 friends to stay @ Ibis Ellerslie & celebrate birthdays @ Acacia restaurant, which everyone enjoyed. The brilliant service @ reception organising rooms with early check in & the awesome restaurant & bar staff hosting our party was impressive! Thanks, it was brilliant to be greeted by happy, efficient & accommodating staff throughout the Hotel!
S.
Very conveniently located, nice restaurant and bar. Clean room and lovely king bed. Not very sound proof. We ordered dessert, both were delicious!
A.
I was there for my work conference, rooms are very small. its good location away from CBD, clean and nice hotel. very limited parking, Hotel lobby looks busy as they share with Novotel,
Breakfast, service, amenities were good
Small rooms, not enough parking
good for the couple for the short stay
K.
Stayed at Ibis after late flight into Auckland. Great staff at front desk at bar and breakfast the next day. Can't be more positive about how they were with us. Room very clean and certainly more than adequate for price
I.
Disappointed. The travel agent knew we were on holidays, not business. Maybe the hotel also was aware. The room was too small for purpose of unwinding after 2 weeks driving throughout New Zealand before leaving for home. The hotel is very good for what is designed to accommodate and the staff were excellent. Location was a nightmare to drive in and out.
J.
The staff at Ibis were lovely and helpful but I was very disappointed with my room 1071 I realise this was a budget hotel room but this was below budget
The room was at the end of the building my window looked onto another building so close I had to keep my blind shut all the time making it ver claustrophobic and I felt like I was in a prison cell. I mentioned my concerns to reception who looked into it but were unable to move me. I had put some food in the fridge which I had to throw out as it had got off due to fridge temp not being low enough.
The bed had no cover or blankets on it so overall not happy
R.
Staff were very helpful, friendly and accommodating. They were great with all my enquiries and quick to give assistance. I did think the breakfast would be half price with my AccorPlus card, but only got a smaller discount. Could just be a policy I'm not aware of.
J.
Always a great place to stay. Comfortable rooms. Lovely staff,Friendly. Helpfull, Welcoming. Great menu in the Dinning room and very good in room menu as well.Something for everyone.
J.
We were surprised by how comfortable our room was although it was small, and we were very impressed by the quality of the Ibis service, the excellent food, and the friendliness of the staff. We wouldn't hesitate to stay at the Ibis again or recommend the Ibis to friends and colleagues.
C.
We were looking for a quiet night with a nice meal.
Easy check-in on line. Good parking.
Staff were welcoming and helpful.
Room was suitable clean & tidy.
Meals nice and well presented.
R.
Really enjoyed my stay staff were very friendly and helpful will definitely be back to stay. Rooms were very clean and tidy serviced daily and at a good time (morning) considering I was on the ground floor I felt house keeping was done at a suitable time .
T.
Very nice hotel, good breakfast and helpful staff. The room is a bit tight and the bathroom weirdly put together but enjoyed my time and would come back.
K.
Need a few more staff on the front desk during busy times. Food at restaurant was good. Rooms are OK. Smelt a bit like smoke tho. Comfy bed.
C.
I loved it here. The.breakfasts may get a bit mundane just the same brekky every morning . The staff here weather they are young or old, treat you really nice
Are ready to help with whatever. Thank you. It was a pleasure staying here.
A.
Nice, clean rooms. Rooms are rather small though and bathroom is also on the smaller side. However, staff is very friendly and the food in the restaurant is of high quality.
D.
I only stayed 1 night but the staff were very friendly and helpful. Parking was an issue but I used the racecourse park. Food was very good, I had dinner and breakfast. Rooms were clean and tidy
C.
Accommodation is comfortable. Restaurant service is good and breakfast and meals were of a good standard although a little expensive but I guess this is Auckland. Bar service was terrible. Bar was understaffed and the barman certainly wasn't in a hurry to get drinks out. After waiting 15 minutes for a drink I gave up.
s.
Used conference facilities. Staff went out of their way to resolve any problems. Restaurant and bar were nice and spacious. Whole ground floor area well designed and spacious. Rooms functional. Grounds nice.
S.
There was not parking and the people was friendly to show where to park but then I came in with 1 big bag, laptop and smaller bag and the people at the desk by the door just looked at me without offering help.
All they had to do is offer me a trolley. It was also dark and raining.
Then I left my makeup mirror in the bathroom and it was not returned to me.
Step out of bathroom is dangerous. The last think you think of if you get up during the night.
K.
Clean, small rooms. Not a drawer in my room to stack clothes! Helpful and happy staff. $10/day for wifi.
T.
As a now regular visitor I always know that the IBIS in Greenlane will provide excellent accommodation.
From the reception staff, to dining room and then not forget the staff that ensure my room is clean an welcoming, I know that my stay will be enjoyable. I will return for further visits.
H.
Double occupancy rooms had 2 single beds with only a foot between them and barely any room left to walk around them. Breakfast was amazing and checking/checkout was fast and simple.
S.
Room had everything it needed for a short stay and a place to rest my head. Size of the room was also handy and everything was easy to reach. No bath, pool or sauna. Wifi cost additional.
J.
Nice staff very helpful. Small minimal rooms. If you like space book the big sister Novotel next door. Bar food and breakfast were great.
P.
Beautiful hotel. We actually only came here to go to the restaurant. Enjoyed the play area for kids. Keeps them entertained. The toilets/bathrooms are really fancy 😍
C.
I love this hotel and have stayed there three times and am booked to stay in the new year. Staff are very efficient and friendly, food is excellent and rooms are always clean and tidy. I highly recommend
J.
Room is a bit small and the bathroom reminded me of a caravan. Staff was very helpful clean and tidy rooms etc. Convenient location for hospital visits.
R.
Great hotel rooms are good, restaurant is great. Only down side is parking cost even if you are staying, here for a week and at 15.00 a day plus room ouch.
j.
Stayed at the Ibis Ellerslie for my husband's birthday mentioned it was his birthday at check in when we returned after going out they had put balloons on the bed put a Happy birthday banner up on the wall and left us a bottle of champagne. Both my husband and myself were awestruck when we walked in the room
Thank you to the team at Ibis Auckland Ellerslie
L.
Very comfortable bed, nice outlook, quiet. Unusual bathroom - felt like on a cruise ship! Friendly checkin.
p.
Clean rooms.but very small compared to other ibis hotels in newzealand.good beds.good breakfast.good service.no free wifi.walkable to metro.value for money
M.
Great Hotel. Easy to find and very central. Staff are amazing and always helpful. Rooms are a bit small but all you need. Would recommend to anyone.
K.
Clean and comfortable rooms.
Friendly staff and great food at the bar. Signing up as a member also means a free drink voucher.
K.
It's ok. Beds are odd, comfortable when you get in then oddly uncomfortable not long after. Buffet breakfast is great. Service is good, desk staff super friendly
J.
Great location and breakfast. Staff were friendly and helpful. Room was very small though. No complementary wifi.
B.
Friendly no hassle service good accessibility round the complex. The only issue was the heights of the toilet in our accessible room which our commode wouldn't fit over fortunately we didn't need it this time.
a.
From the moment I arrived I felt so welcomed the staff were.all so friendly. I was not too well and one of the lovely staff in the restaurant brought me a.lemon honey and ginger tea. That tray made me feel so special
B.
Overall good service and nice bar/restaurant. Room was decent and tidy - just not a fan of the closet style bathroom.
R.
Enjoyed my stay here and the friendly staff made the experience all much better. Good location. Will definitely stay again
P.
Clean tidy, comfortable rooms. Restaurant is quite good along with a good sized sports bar and outdoor area.
A.
Toilet button broke at 3.00am in the morning! Whoops
Very small rooms
Feel like your on a cruise ship with the bathroom set up don't think it's right and makes the room feel cheap
R.
The room was a good size, warm and clean with everything I needed.
The buffet breakfast was nice with a good variety of foods.
B.
Ibis standard - however, if your booking includes breakfast, you'll get to enjoy the really good 'accor' breakfast buffet of the Accor hotel situated in the same building.
M.
Small but clean with great friendly staff. Nice sheets and towels. We stay here often for a cheap work overnighter
y.
Simple. Room was rather small. I had better sleep elsewhere. The bed wasn't the most comfortable. Otherwise to was reasonably tidy and clean
J.
All friendly and helpful. Only problem I heard of from others I was there with was that some of the cooked breakfast food was pretty cold.
D.
Very good, attentive service. The room was tidy and well presented. Nice and quiet setting. Always enjoy staying here!
G.
Smallish rooms, food is hit-and-miss. But very tidy, nice staff and facilities.
E.
Prompt friendly service. Good small quality rooms. Bathroom small but modern and stylish. Very clean. Would recommend.
S.
Nice clean tidy wee pod rooms, smart tvs wifi, room service n resturant on ground floor.. all you need here for accommodation needs.. go stay in a room...
s.
Pretty tired and dark room, view directly into office block just metres away, lock on door broken (repaired when alerted)... Just felt like there were a number of little things that made it "OK" rather than outstanding.
C.
The service is very efficient and rooms great. Restaurant and bar agreeable. Would stay again.
K.
We enjoyed our stay here. It was close to the the convention we were going to, which was Armageddon at the ASB showgrounds. We would stay here again.
L.
Nice staff nice room nice food.wifi charged at $10 could only watch one episode on Netflix then I'd used my quota. All good apart fr.the WiFi usage when you are away from home it's good to.have access to online.
T.
Simple, clean and no hassle. Bar and Food is SUPERB here. The F&B Manager quite obviously knows his stuff as it runs like clockwork.
T.
Very small rooms, ok if there just to sleep for a night or 2. but comfy beds.
A.
Facilities were nt that good. But breakfast nice and the staff were very polite n helpful.
M.
Nice enough hotel to stay, but insufficient parking and noisey air con a minor let down. Excellent buffet breakfast!
A.
Stayed for a couple nights for a work conference. Nice place, excellent facilities but tiny rooms
P.
Good food small rooms but comfortable beds and very clean. Good gym facilities too
S.
Small but comfortable room. Good restaurant and bar. Friendly staff.
P.
Good location, rooms are small but functional, the food service is slow
G.
Nice place to stay. Happy with the food and service. restaurant was busy, but a happy place to be in the evening
H.
Only found out when we arrived to check in that we had to pay for parking, there was nothing about it on their website. Would have liked a few basic kitchen facilities.
