J.Modern and clean. Bed is excellent and TV is up to date with tech. Wifi is speedy. Great coffee and food too. Staff are super friendly and don't make you feel like you're a bother at all. Been here a few times and am happy to come back. 2 things could be improved though. They provide tiny tissue packs instead of a box in the bathroom. You have to collect ice yourself otherwise there's a charge.
C.Just want to give a special mention to Andy, restaurant supervisor for being most accommodating and understanding towards my diet. He made special arrangements with the chef to come up with the most delicious meals for me during my stay. Thanks to the chef for the brilliant culinary skills. For that I am very grateful.

P.It's a very lovely room.. as it's a quarantine stay I couldn't experience anything else However the room was extremely comfortable and clean, all the toiletries supplies were there unlike other hotels who cut on products, moreover staffs were pleasant and welcoming. Food was delicious as well. Would love to come over for leisure soon.. :)
J.Only staying due to requirements for aircrew isolation between flights, but the check-in process was seamless, the view fantastic, the room is comfy, clean, spacious, quiet and stylish. Plus the food is enviable.
D.Staying here as an aircrew for a short layover. But M social already makes me want to come back for leisure in the future! The room is lovely with some chic modern design. Clean and with a lovely view! It really makes this quarantine trip way better!
All the toiletries are there in the first place, it s a comfort feeling when I land late and everything is there ready to be used. Despite the late arrival, it was almost 3am when we all arrived, the hotel staffs were being very professional and attentive and was really surprised that the chef was still working at that hour to prepare us a full course quarantine meal if we wished to eat something before bed. And I must say the food they provide during the quarantine stay is pretty good( speaking from a huge foodie point of view😊). The freshly made complimentary coffee in the morning is also a nice touch.
All in all, I would love to come back and stay in M social whenever I will have a chance to come to Auckland for vacation ! Thank you team for making this short stay memorable!

Friendly staff welcoming us, clear selection of menu, from all over the world it has the BEST quality and quantity food (Yummy!!) and a sweet note offering selections of coffee in the morning! Delivery meals at exact timing, very punctual! With beautiful view of the harbour, Made the quarantine period enjoyable!

The staff are very welcoming and helpful. Strictly follow covid 19 sop. This hotel location was perfect. All kind of connectivity avail from boat ride, bus, taxi, high speed internet all available here.
The room was spacious and spotless clean. The bed was super comfy and all basic necessity available in the room. Big tv with video streaming access.
Toilet was super clean. All the required basic amenities available.
Food was tasty and ok. Reasonable taste and reasonable price.
The room have a super big window for a superb view of the quay in front.

D.I had a great 2 night stay here at M Social!! I did not tell the crew that it was my birthday on the last night but they surprised me with some tarts and a birthday card from the crew!! That aside the service is amazing and the food is DELICIOUS especially the Salmon with steamed rice. I don’t want to leave and I can’t wait to come back to M Social again! Thank you to Tip, Thea, Sue, Margy, April and the rest of the team!! Much love! There are nice people in this world, they’re at M Social Auckland!

Thank you very much Meljo! Your friendliness and efficiency in processing my request had made my friend's birthday great despite being in quarantine! :)

I.I was in isolation here with my 3 children. Beautiful place. Loved the big room and big bed. The big white towels and the shower were gorgeous. The staff were amazing every time I needed something they were there within minutes. The view maybe one of the best views in New Zealand while in isolation. Thanks to everyone that made our stay simple.

H.Its used as quarantine hotel. clean and comfy. They have special rooms for eldery people with bathrooms designed for that, which is good. however, sometimes its given to people who are not elderly. Check that you are given a normal room if you dont need an elderly room.

I can't even begin to explain how incredibly grateful I feel to be here staying at M-SOCIAL. Me and my partner were assigned this hotel for hotel quarantine, not only was the airport experience seamless and quick, but as soon as we arrived at the hotel, we were greeted by the most incredible staff, honestly, never in my life have I been spoken to and treated with such respect. We had to wait whilst people were being signed in and as we did, all of the air force and hotel staff sparked conversations with us, making us feel at ease and making us feel so welcome, comfortable and at home, the process of checking in was quicker than any normal check in I've ever experienced. This was incredible considering we are staying here for managed isolation. The organisation of the staff and the process for our check in was clearly designed to be quick and to get us up to our rooms ASAP and again, make us feel comfortable.
We then spoke to April at reception and she gave us all of our information and assigned us our room, she was so incredibly friendly too, and even remembered our names the next day when we went down for some fresh air.
From that moment on, everything has been perfect, I cannot fault anything or anyone, the hotel is the most comfortable, clean and beautiful place I have ever stayed in, within the first hour of being here we said we would return if we ever needed to stay in the city. The food, security and staff have all been incredible. The staff make so much effort to get to know you and cheer you up, the service is impeccable and I only hope more people share their positive experiences as the team here deserve to be credited. I am vegan and my partner vegetarian and the meals are some of the most creative and tastiest foods I have ever had, we get excited for every meal. It really feels as if every single tiny detail has been thought out and had time put into and we feel extremely grateful. We are so excited about our next 10 days of quarantine and feel so blessed we were lucky enough to be sent here.
After a crazy five and half months in lockdown in melbourne, it has been a breath of fresh air and a light at the end of the tunnel arriving into Auckland and coming to M- Social, I wouldn't recommend anywhere else.

M.I recently spent 14 nights at The M Social and I would happily spend 14 more. The staff were genuinely friendly and went out of their way to help me. While lockdown meant that food service wasn't as per normal, you could tell the chefs took pride in their work. My room was excellent. Great view, comfy bed and plenty of space.
G.Currently this hotel is being used as a quarantine hotel for the government to house airline crews and passengers needing to be kept seperate from the general population.
When our flight arrived we were treated kindly and professionally by the staff. Food delivered was excellent, and you could tell the staff really cared.
The rooms are very well appointed with all the amenities from USB charging stations, Bluetooth audio, large led tv screens and very good blackout curtains. This hotel would be at the top of my list when I return here to enjoy the city under better circumstances.

Although not performing as a regular hotel during this period, the staff did not let their guard down and kept up the service standards.
Our needs were attended to and food quality did not slacken. In fact, we were treated to 5-star meals three times a day. I could not recommend this hotel more. Good job team! And thank you 🌟

J.Ideal location for work or a few days rest. Great staff, scrumptious food and one of the most comfortable beds I have ever slept in. The view of course couldn’t be beaten out over the water to the North Shore. A really active waterfront view without the noise . Perfect!

N.Really, really enjoyed this hotel. I had a package shipped to me at the hotel prior to my arrival. As I checked in, the staff greeted me and handed me the package without my having to mention it. I had lunch and a couple breakfasts at the hotel, all of which were outstanding. The bar made great coffee in the afternoon and excellent cocktails in the evening. The room was tastefully decorated and very comfortable. The hotel gym was very well appointed. I’d happily stay here any time.
N.Wow! Where to begin? M Social, thank you for making our little brothers wedding happen when their previous venue cancelled on them a wk out from the wedding day. Their dreams were made true because of your generosity. This venue was amazing even with road works right outside? The customer service was above & beyond from the front desk all the way through to hospitality & valet parking staff. 10/10 for having such professional, well trained staff. They were all so bright, friendly & helpful.

a.Staff were friendly and and went out of their way to be helpful. We were celebrating our friends birthday and they had dessert treats in the room with a hand written card. Facilities were great and the location is central. Gorgeous views. Will definitely be back!
N.This was an amazing hotel - we're just disappointed we were only staying 2 nights. The room was so inviting and the hotel itself was modern, stylish, and comfortable. We were always greeted by multiple staff members whenever we walked in the door, and everything was smooth during our stay. The view on the water was really enjoyable and there are so many lights in the room, it's fun trying to decide what mood to set with the different lights. The bed was very comfortable and the shower felt amazing - plenty of hot water with good pressure. It's hard to find things to fault here.

The towels need an urgent upgrade. Only two bath towels for two people (hotels with this level of service would have four). All the towels in our room were old (super used) and one of the bath towels had a hole!
I keep giving a five stars review despite the awful towels because everything else was perfect. The hotel’s management should trash the actual towels ASAP and buy new ones accordingly to the overall comfort / style of the hotel.
C.This hotel was for us to enjoy new zealand before heading to Tahiti. Staff were great and courteous. They were friendly and kind.
However, because of constructions were going on, there were traffics around the hotel which caused a little delays on our way in and out.
However, because the hotel was so modern and nice, cons were not that big of deal. We even received a note and from the staff and champagne for our honeymoon so our stay was great! Oh, one thing that i must say is that the view of the harbour was fantastic!

C.One word - WONDERFUL! I stayed for two weeks here in Managed Isolation & Quarantine (MIQ) through to early November 2020. I was lucky. The M Social is a great MIQ hotel - exceptional staff, health workers & a Defense force team who all go out of their way to make everyone feel welcome and comfortable. Everyone is willing to do everything small and larger to make your stay be as comfortable as possible. Well appointed rooms - not huge but they seem more than large enough. Spectacular views of the harbour (esp. if you are in the eastern end - which I was) and also solid internet speeds - which is important! Thank you also to the New Zealand Government for this opportunity to come back home and to be so well looked after. Thank you so much to all the great border works, hotel staff, health and defense team workers here for your courage. Stay safe and well.
J.Nice trendy hotel. The hotel staff is friendly and relax. The rooms are very comfortable and well designed. While the rooms appear to be small, they are actually spacious since the unnecessary furniture is removed, such as the piece of furniture that a television usually is placed is gone since the television is attached to the wall. Also many USB ports around the room. All in all, the staff extremely friendly, the room is clean and the bar and restaurant are comfortable. I took a point off because of the odd selection of hot food on the continental breakfast, credit card fee on the bill (small) and they did not restock tissues in the room

S.Great hotel. Sweet location, friendly staff. And the toilet in your room has interesting audio qualities, such as the sound your poo makes when it splashes into the bowl, causing a cave like echo that reverberates into the vast distance. 5 stars. Never has a poo felt more epic and grand as it found it's place among this cold and lonely universe.

The decor is super cool and a welcome change from the more traditional hotels we’ve frequented. Our suite was excellent...very spacious, a stunning view and extremely well designed with some lovely added details.
It was a perfect location to enjoy the Viaduct and catch the ferry to Waiheke

S.MSocial spectacular waterfront view is the highlight of its contemporary designed rooms. People watching and boat watching provided amusing days and nights with excellent Wi-Fi service and TV channels, but the heart of my Managed Isolation experience is ‘MSocial’s staff. They exceeded my expectations. Front office team: April, Ayushma, Renzyl, Montin, Harlen, Sue and outstanding Meljo provided top notch customer service. The food & beverage team with Maurice at the helm, went over and beyond. Tasty and hearty meals 3x a day for 14 days prepared by amazing chefs. Food & Beverage supervisors Rainer by day and Andy by night made sure that any food & beverage was accommodated. Extra servings or special request such as lemons, blueberries or oatmeal was never a problem. Their attention to detail, along with little notes of encouragement are hallmarks of why they stand out.
Thank you MSocial for an Astounding Managed Isolation Quarantine experience. Without hesitation I lift my hand to applaud and acknowledge an outstanding team on a job well done.

L.Love staying here! The rooms are so colorful and full of little environmentally friendly extras. The staff are super helpful and love the restaurant. The valet even put a bottle of water in my car for the drive home. Beautiful views over the harbour. Just wish they had a swimming pool or spa. Very central also

Excellent customer service from the staff, especially by Miranda who was very professional and helped solve an enquiry I had and emailed me the information promptly, which I really appreciated.
I ordered breakfast which was delivered in a nice brown paper bag and was tasty. I ate in the restaurant and like the rest of the service it didn't disappoint, very enjoyable.
I would recommend M Social to anyone staying in the area. I don't rate anything 5 stars, but M Social is the best hotel I have stayed in a long time, including New Zealand and overseas.
J.Great Hotel! Received amazing service. There was an error in booking, (absolutely not M Social's fault) and they went way above and beyond to sort it out and accommodate me. I was really impressed by the actions and assistance of all of the staff.. The room was wonderful. Well appointed, and comfortable. Would definitely stay again.
J.Great location! Modern interior designs. Love the view from our room! Not too sure about the room cleaning service though. Our floor wasn’t vacuumed at all during our stay. Awesome customer service by most of the staff except an Asian front desk lady with heavy makeup who’s not being very professional. Everything else was fantastic!
c.Hotel Staff are polite and very friendly. Rooms are clean and well equipped. Especially love the espresso machine in the room and complimentary movies, quite up to date movies. Most importantly my room window facing the pier, fantastic view.

K.Great location, rooms, and amenities, but sub-par service makes me question whether I would stay here again. The location is great (even accounting for current road works). Every room has a harbour view and features lots of nice modern touches. We especially enjoyed the large selection of free movies. However, we were disappointed in the staff on more than one occasion. For example, the reception staff said they'd bring our welcome package to the room 5 minutes after we'd checked in; an hour and a half later, it was clear they'd forgotten. On our last day, a staff member entered our room without knocking, saying they thought we'd already checked out. Had those mistakes been acknowledged by the staff, they might be forgiveable, but no such attempt was ever made.
J.Store happy with our stay here. We stayed for a concert in vector arena and wanted to be in walking distance. The service was friendly, the rooms were clean and tidy and well equipped for a kitchenette. We really liked the view too! Hope to be back!
E.This is a superior hotel that excels in all measures. It excels in location, beautiful guest rooms, first rate service, and a superior restaurant. It is in a great location overlooking the harbor. The harbor view from my room was outstanding. I got an upgrade to a suite without asking. The room was large and had every amenity you could want. An amazing assortment of toiletries, including things not normally included like shaving kit, toothbrush toothpaste, feminine needs, bathrobes, even a wooden comb. There were two large tvs one of them had a surround sound system. A pod coffee maker with a generous supply of first rate coffee and tv, and complimentary milk in the fridge.
Everyone we encountered in the hotel, from the valet, bellman, front desk, concierge, and wait staff were outstanding and friendly.
The attached restaurant is called beast and butterflies. It is both reasonably priced and delicious. Don’t miss the breakfast buffet combining a large assortment of asian entrees, with traditional NZ dishes, and a great assortment of salads, cold cuts, smoked fish, delicious breads. Gluten free bread is also available on request.
In summary this is a superior hotel in every respect. The fact that it is reasonably priced makes it more compelling. Five stars all the way.
M.One of my favourite hotels in Auckland. Small but very nice rooms, comfortable and the service is fantastic. One tiny thing is that the minibar drinks have been past the best before date both times I've stayed so make sure you check them before drinking :)
T.Very quick & friendly staff, We stayed overnight before a cruise the next day. The late night bar staff were very helpful mixing some really tasty cocktails. It appeared that you could order from the restaurant menu and have you meals delivered to the table at the bar.
It felt like it is utilised by a lot of business people either passing through or meeting's with clients or other businesses.
Location is Ideal to everything in the viaduct, britomart and lower Queenstreet area, especially if your catching a cruise as the terminal is literally across the road.
Rooms are spacious with a magical view of the harbour. Breakfast was pretty standard, my only gripe (nothing to do with the hotel) was the amount of roadworks in the front, Not a pleasant sight or sound to wake up too.

T.Got upgraded to top floor and water views so far its hard not to like this place. The rooms are small, no matter how cleverly they've designed it. For example you can slide open one of the bathroom sides to make the whole space seem bigger. There's everything you need including in room safe and even chocolate fish in the fridge. Highly recommend the big breakfast.

A.We had a lovely stay in one of the suites at the M Social. The room overlooked the water and was spacious, with modern conveniences and a comfy bed. The bathroom is glassed in, so it can feel a little open if you like your privacy, but overall our stay was excellent.
R.A refreshingly cool Hotel with a funky vibe M-Social ticks all the boxes for us...right from the moment you pull up you’re greeted by cheerful engaging staff who set the scene for all interactions with staff. The rooms are great and with lots of little touches that set this place apart from the others. We received a lovely welcome back gift complimented by a hand written card from a number of the staff!! The restaurant and bar area is also a really relaxed space and on the Friday night of our stay featured a DJ who added to the cool atmosphere. The food is an eclectic mainly Asian fusion offering and over the nights we’ve dined here have always enjoyed our meals.
Hard to fault this place and we’ve booked a few more stays over the next couple of months and looking forward to getting back there!
T.The staff were so friendly! Everything was super easy and the vip lounge add upgrade was well worth it. So nice and clean and the breakfast buffet was excellent. They went the extra mile for us as it was a celebration weekend. Definitely recommend.
k.Wish we could say 3.5 but Goggle rules. We stayed at M Social in Auckland for three nights over the last weekend. The room was nice and clean on arrival, the view from the Social Club level good, the breakfast was a good compared to most NZ hotel breakfasts (we are often disappointed in NZ but we were pleasantly surprised at this hotel). The staff were professional and friendly and for a 4 star hotel, it delivered for the most part. The disappointing issues were that it was hard to get to in a car on a Friday evening due to the massive road works in the area. We realise that this is not the hotel's fault but it was frustrating and continued over the weekend. The social club extras which we paid for were ok. We enjoyed the "complimentary minibar" which was advertised which was a little package which you could choose on arrival. We chose the two mini bottles of bubbles, a chocolate fish and chips which was nice but when I asked about it these next day I was told there is only one pack per stay rather than night paid for. No big deal but seems unfair that you get the same if you stay one night or three and pay the extra price. There was complementary the in house "Social Club" drink and canape hour but my husband was too ill to attend on Saturday evening and when I considered it on the Sunday night we were put off due to a wedding taking over the space - only being separated by a board and guests could hear all the speeches. Also, I expected that paying the extra for the "Social Club" would mean being extra special treatment in terms of room service etc given it is only available for two floors. On Sunday our room had still not been serviced by 2.30. I went down to reception and nicely explained that my husband was sick with leukaemia and an autoimmune disease and that he needed to sleep so was it possible that they could service the room so he could relax and go to sleep. I left to catch up with friends at 3 pm but he had to go downstairs and ask again to service the room late in the afternoon and despite my request. B.This was a great downtown location next to the ferry terminal. We had two kids and were able to get the family Suite where basically two rooms are booked and a separate hallway door is then locked making it a two bedroom suite. Great views of the harbor, right next to the viaduct. Next to good bars and food.

E.Excellent hotel with fantastic location. This hotel is perfect for cruise passengers, with the cruise terminal within walking distance. Family-style "tribe" rooms are actually two separate and complete hotel rooms at the end of the hall with a third exterior door that allows families or groups to stay together while still having separate rooms with separate bathrooms.

Within 24 hours the hotel called me to discuss the issues I experienced. They apologised for the misunderstanding and also corrected the overcharge. Plus also refunded additional mini-bar expenses.
During my call with the hotel, not once did they ask if I could remove or update my negative feedback. This shows the hotels apology was genuine. In light of this I feel it is only fair I update my rating to the score I would have liked to have give originally. It’s great to see they value their customers. I will definitely be staying with the hotel again.

S.My wife and I stayed here for two nights for her 50th. mSocial staff were absolutely great. The hotel is recently refurbished and is in great condition with a funky new look. We were lucky to get upgraded to a suite. The suite is twice the size of normal rooms and well worth getting. The social club perks are great too if you can stretch to get on the top two floors. Thanks mSocial for a great weekend. We will be back.

m.Being a local of Auckland we decided to check out the new renovation of this hotel. We wanted a hotel with the view and this did not disappoint. The place had a funky hip vibe in a sea ( boat style ) way. With the use of Ropes and lights they give a good vibe of being on or near ships, ( maybe as we are close to the port with big cruise ships dock )
The room was great, really new and well planned, with sliding doors to the bathroom so you can enjoy the views from the shower if you want. Real comfy beds and pillow and full blackout blinds to keep the sun out. The breakfast we not the greatest selection, they only have a buffet continental style, so you have to order the separate dishes if you want American styles. The one part we found not so great was INFO, it did not have a clear book or paper info on the hotels amenities etc, and the room service menu it not very large at all... but UBER eats will deliver to the hotel.
All up I would defiantly go back here again. Just maybe eat breakfast at one of the local cafes for a better price and options
L.The service was amazing I loved the feel the atmosphere was unlike any other hotel I've been to. The staff are dressed in down to earth clothing and certainly didn't feel pretentious like normal hotels. I loved the room layout very IKEA. The TV menu I feel needs to be highlighted because it was the BEST. Free access to their movie database with new movies and you can even miracast! So great. Perfect location on the waterfront. I will definitely be visiting again!

J.My mate was staying here for a week so I went for a visit. This place is pretty freaking cool. Love the style. Rooms are pretty small but the TV's are pretty big and the style makes up for it. The views out to the harbour are brilliant. Recommended if you get a room with a good view. Also the elevators have funky music with wall to floor lcd butterfly displays. Trendy stuff!

M.Chic, modern hotel with vibrant deco and a leaning towards eco-friendly room amenities. Room was comfortable, with some facing the harbor that affords excellent views. K.this is the most amazing hotel in Auckland. Seriously turning up to your room and music playing, it was so warm, the colours the decorating are out of this world. The view over the harbour stunning. We got to check in 2 hours earlier and that never happens to me. The little touches of putting bottled water in our hire car as well. Just love love love it here and can't wait to come back. Do yourself a favour and stay here. It also helped we saw Richie McGaw in the foyer on our departure.

Y.Helpful staff, i was forced to change to this hotel due to some very unpleasant issue happened in the apartment i booked in princes wharf, and i booked a attached room which contains 2 room separately at the last minute. When i checked in, the staff actively told me that if i will be using only 1 of the 2 rooms, i can get a special rate (almost half-price). Very nice gesture and great service when i asked the staff to heat up my takeaway and the meal was served to my room plated. Valet parking is truly convenient.

T.I am not often moved to post a review. As a business owner, I know how hard it is to provide exceptional customer service and M Social is my new favorite hotel.
Location? Waterfront. 6 min walk to the ferry. Surrounded by shopping and restaurants and easy walk to SkyTower. Service? I left the hotel knowing Nigel, David, Lan and Hamish's names. The hotel treated us like VIP Rock Stars. If I mentioned wanting something out loud and it was heard, I was helped to get it (private tour to Hobbit Movie set, perfect French breakfast place, wool...).
My mate and I were blown away with how attentive everyone was. If you asked for something they not only got it for you quickly but CHECKED on you to make sure you were happy later. Don't even think of staying at more established brands, who assume their name is sufficient.
We will return and we are telling everyone how a single hotel made our Auckland trip feel so special. It's even priced well! Eat dinner or lunch there also! I was happier at their restaurant than a $350 meal we had. Happy traveling!

We were travelling with our 1 year old and stayed here for New Year’s Eve + one extra night and I swear every staff member knew me by the end of the 2 Days as I had so many annoying requests 🤣🤣 but not a single person said no and not a single person was anything but astoundingly polite and accomodating! They did everything from wash in my baby bottle for me in the middle of breakfast rush to re making my breakfast without me even asking when it went cold due to me trying to calm down my toddler! The food was exceptional, the coffee was exceptional, and they are extremely environmentally friendly without it being intrusive to your lifestyle... 1000000 Stars!!!! Well done guys! Thanks for making what would’ve been a very trying couple of nights into a lovely experience! ❤️

M.My niece & I had to take my partner up to Auckland on short notice ! So we found this Hotel online before we headed up there!! The service was beyond what we have experienced in any Auckland accommodation !! It was fantastic, the valets were there doing all they could for you, the receptionists were so amazing helpful, as our room was only a king bed they changed it & up graded it which over looked the harbour which was fantastic as coming up to Auckland the Viaduct ( as we needed to stay close as he had a yacht he needed to deliver back to the Coromandel!!) is great to stay close too!! We will all be back before the Americas Cup, and looking now too book in with you all !! Totally loved the whole experience, we highly recommend this Hotel !!!

A.Not Just for Instagrammers
As a non-millennial I had the slightest bit of trepidation about our stay at M Social; it didn’t help that our arrival coincided with New Zealand’s Fashion Weekend. But as it turns out, this harbourfront property isn’t just for social media over-sharers. In fact, we enjoyed our stay so much that we’re already planning a return to both Auckland and M Social next summer.
Room
We booked a Social View Room promising “sweeping views” of Auckland Harbour. Our assigned room—609, I think?—did have a nice, big window but the sweeping view was obstructed somewhat by the ANZ building across the street. Requesting a room on either the east or west side of the hotel might yield better results.
There was plenty of space for two people and their oversized luggage. And we didn’t mind the sliding partition in the bathroom at all—when open, it made the room seem even more spacious than it already was; when closed, whomever was inside had all the privacy they needed.
Food
Breakfast at M Social has two classes, economy and deluxe. The continental buffet provides the basics—breads, pastries, cereals, salad with some hot items and soup at the far end of the spread. We passed on the hot items only because our upgraded breakfast plan gave us an additional choice of two made-to-order entrees.
The choices available during our stay were an Asian-style beef noodle soup or Western-style eggs on toast, with bacon, a stewed tomato and portabello mushroom. The upgrade was definitely worth it, though we enjoyed the granola, yogurt and odd pastry (ok, several) from the buffet spread as well.
Breakfast also includes as much drip coffee as you can handle, but you’ll have to pay extra for a delicious flat white.
Location
There’s lots to see, do and eat in Auckland’s harbour area. The Sky Tower is an easy (albeit uphill) 15 minutes away on foot. If you’re venturing further afield, both the ferry terminal and Britomart station are only a few blocks away.
Verdict
It doesn’t matter one bit whether you’re an influencer or a social media recluse; M Social is a perfect base for your Auckland adventure. We can’t wait to come back!

The massive windows overlooking the harbour are a saving grace. They fill the rooms with light and apparent space. Attentive staff. Trendy as this years going out shoes but without the pain.

N.This is a typical ''new" schick hotel that is geared towards wealthy Asian tourists. Hotel has nice big rooms and very modern design. The biggest disappointment was their breakfast which had everything except normal (poached eggs) included... For 500 AUD a night, I don't think anyone should pay extras for a regular breakfast. Unfortunately, M Social appeared very overrated and not geared towards a business traveler.
