L.Very nice hostel! Good location, could walk to the main places easily. Nice and helpful stuff. Great, big kitchen with everything needed. Quite clean as well. Lockers are big enough to put all the valuables in... like computer etc. Would have preferred lockable doors for the rooms otherwise in the daytime you can't be sure who will come in, but probably NZ people are too nice to steal something anyways.
M.Friendly and accommodating service at the front desk. A six bed dorm with a window was comfortable and the private individual showers nice. My main complaint is that all of the freezers and fridges were overflowing with expired food from long gone guests and the entire place was long overdue for a deep clean. Finding space for frozen food was impossible the two weeks I was here.
M.By far the best hostel I’ve been at in Auckland, I keep coming back. Weekly rates, good people, clean your sheets once a week, decent kitchen, fridge space, many bathrooms and showers.
A.Quiet and calm. Close to queen's Street. Straight off motorway. No alcohol allowed. Smaller communal area and kitchen so can get crowded at times. No windows in rooms so expect hot night although they do have fans in the room. Would recommend to anyone planning to stay in Auckland, cheap so could stay for longer period.
R.Cheap. Good hot showers, decent WiFi, quality sleep to be fair.
No alcohol policy though and kitchen can be pretty busy, especially with only 4 hobs and no oven. But it is cheap.
K.Everything is very clean. The shelves in the kitchen are not enough for everyone if the hostel is almost full. Kitchen had enough stuff to work with. Many people staying there long-term while working in Auckland.
M.I live in Newton Lodge for many weeks, i love the rooms, the showers and my favourite THE LIVING ROOM with the kitchen. Its a very secure place ,the owners are all the time looking at the cameras . Always wash your dishes here or the owners will complain to you. Great family
E.Quiet, very well located and it is contemplated that there are shared bathrooms, but they are several and with enough privacy.
It has a shared kitchen and living room, wifi, showers and bathrooms are decent.
D.Location is great, very clean throughout. Rooms are well sized, I had my own so can't comment on dorms. Service has been excellent.

G.Is one of the best backpackers in which I have stayed in Auckland, clean and tydy, organized, a complete kitchen in order, a nice living room with a TV and games, you can't drink inside but some guys get together outside for a beer.
B.Cheap & very close to Karangahape (K) Road which has great food & interesting shops. Has a large Asian supermarket across the road. Would recommend single or twin room (has bunk beds).
C.Okay for a few nights. Staff is friendly, bathroom big. But it's a bit dirty and there are rooms without windows.
V.Good budget accommodation
You get what you pay for (which is to say, a place to sleep)
Bring your own towel and soap otherwise you need a deposit for one or to buy.

I.Good location, not very party hostel, clean, very good wifi condition, great people, staff are helpful. One of my favorite hostels.
R.It's ok for the prize. Rooms are small and no lockers to keep your stuff but the bathrooms are clean and just at the beginning of the main st.
M.Nice welcoming, clean and quiet ! Close to Queen st and the airport's shuttle drop you 2min from the place.
