A.Upon our sad return to NZ to bury our daughter, MIQ difficulties to get home, the staff reminded me why I am proud to be a kiwi. After all the battles to get home my composure was far from friendly. Every time we were assisted or directed by staff during our quarantine, we were greeted by the genuine kiwi smile and readiness to help. What really broke me was their kindness in giving us a beautiful orchid with a handwritten heart felt message sharing our grief. One day we would like to return in more normal circumstances to taste their cuisine and enjoy the facilities properly. Well done presenting healthy options for long term stays.
K.I was lucky enough to have my MIQ stay here and I cannot rave enough about the place. Absolutely lovely staff, right through from housekeeping, front desk, security to restaurant. Great food, comfy spacious rooms, excellent communication to guests. Thankyou Novotel!

friendly, courteous and professional. Food was very good, I am thankful to the staff and the New Zealand government. It is nice to finally be home with my family.
D.Stayed during lockdown. The hotel staff were amazing despite 2 people testing positive while we were there. The Department of Health could have been more communicative throughout as we were at times confused about what was happening. We stayed in a large room with dated decor but it was clean and spacious enough for me to be able to work in quarantine. The wifi was not great so I had to hotspot from my phone but the view on level 4 was great it made the stay quite comfortable. The meals were huge but the quality seemed to deteriorate on some dishes from week 1 to week 2 of our stay. There was a garden area we were allowed to go for walks, it was relatively spacious compared with other quarantine places. Overall it was probably one of the better places to have been quarantined in Auckland.

D.This was our last stay on our 15 day New Zealand trip for our 10th anniversary. Needless to say, it was memorable and had an emotional touch to it as we said goodbye to this beautiful country. The hotel was excellent by all means, rooms, decor, staff, cleanliness. Has a awesome stay. The kids were gifted a couple of kiwis which made them super happy. Staff was very friendly. Food was excellent at the restaurant.
W.Spent two weeks here in MIQ. Food was very good and staff professional. Has a selection of Sky channels. Has charge facility for an electric vehicle. With the hotel fully booked the wifi was very slow at 3Mbps.
T.First time here our intention was to go for lunch, but ended up having bar snacks which were great, the beer selection was really good also the bottle of wine. Staff were great and service very good and very helpful. While we were in side an elderly gentleman missed a step fell and badly grazed his knee. Staff were very prompt and a senior manager was there with first a aid kit in less than a minute. Great customer service all round we will be back to do a lunch or dinner menu.
Got to mention this also the WC facility has face towels to dry your hands with I love this concept.
R.Outstanding service, comfortable and clean. Last minute decision to stay as didn't want to drive home after dinner. No problem at all, staff were all very helpful and professional. Excellent restaurant and bar. Dinner menu was superb and well presented, my favourite breakfast wasn't on offer, no problem, the chef simply made it for me without hesitation. Highly recommended hotel.

It has a lovely outdoor setting as well. Good secure parking, but only if you are staying at the hotel. Otherwise there is other parking at the racecourse.
C.In managed isolation. The hotel WiFi is less than acceptable. I had to buy my own Skinny Broadband to play any streaming or Gaming The mattress and bedding are over worn and very uncomfortable. The staff are great and everything is punctual. The food offered is a simple choice of a meat dish or veggie dish for every meal. It’s similar to a standard canteen type food. Overall it was a satisfactory stay but obviously run down and I would not pay to stay here unless things are revitalised. The WiFi was so bad that at peak times. Voice calls over facetime/ what’s app were all but impossible.

I.Great Middle point for meetings across Auckland. Location is right by motorway which gives you easy access to many areas.
The rooms are clean though aged and many of the furnishing show ware.
The bathrooms are older but always clean.
Staff and friendly, though grooming standards are not always perfect.
I recommend room service for meals. Service and quality in the restaurant is hit or miss. Meals seem to come to a better standard when they are delivered to your room.
The buffet Breakfast is standard, all the usual options you would expect in a hotel.
T.2.5 stars hotel I believe.
1.Room aircon can only go up to 24 and it is still cold.
2.Poor in Noise control, can hear other people using their toilet and shower and also walking steps from far away. I'm on level 4, facing the park.
3. Bed is way to soft like sleeping on sponge. Toe is higher then head.
4. Poor and old facilities.
5. Smart TV is lifesaver.
6. The later you shower the less hot water you get.

Special thanks the two friendly staff members that assisted from the begining with not only the venue but with other complementary's as well.(for privacy reasons i wont mention names but you know who you are) thank you for going the extra mile, making sure expectations were met, and lets not forget the friendly faced staff at reception, you guys exceeded and delivered a very high level of service which not only met my expectations, my guests also commented on how great the venue was. A.Really good coffee! The barista on duty at the time was excellent – unfortunately I didn't get her name, but my sister complimented her, so hopefully you know who you are! The pizzas, from the restaurant, were also pretty good: particularly enjoyed by the 14- and 16-year-olds in our party.

M.We really enjoyed our stay at the Novotel. Everyone was friendly, helpful and polite, from the Reception staff to the restaurant staff and the cleaning crew. I was especially impressed with the young Russian waiter who remembered what we'd ordered on previous nights and make recommendations for us. Also the wonderful cleaning staff member who overheard me ask if anyone had thrown out a newspaper and went off especially to find me one. These touches make for a very memorable stay. Thanks.
D.We booked for one night as my son was coming to see Jane Goodall.It was our 1st visit to this hotel. Our stay was great from the start! We were greeted by very friendly and efficient reception staff. The rooms were comfortable and quiet. The hotel was very close to the venue that my son was going to as well as to nearby eateries and takeaways. The staff were most accomodating by valet parking our car for us when there was no parking available. After my son's came back from Jane Goodall he wanted dessert. The bar staff were most helpful- in particular Mandeep- who went above and beyond to serve us! Breakfast was great! Will definitely stay there again!
D.Lovely, tidy, functional hotel for a business trip. Staff are friendly, but the reception seems understaffed as there is often a line up & delay on check in & check out. The rooms are comfortable, but you can often hear other guests, especially if close to the lifts. Overall I like the place & continue to stay. The one downside I've found during my stays is the showers - they are in the bathtub & the shower head is fixed, so you can't adjust it. Along with a clean room & good bed, a good shower is pretty critical in a hotel room.
F.As regular guests we enjoy the accor hotel comforts, attentive staff, and welcome drinks. The rooms are always spotlessly clean and the beds super comfy ensuring a good night's sleep. Check ins and check outs are always dealt with promptly and the staff are very polite and pleasant.

H.Bed is worn out. TV quality very poor. Bad signal and size small. Picture doesn’t go to edge of tv screen indicating a modified signal deteriorating the clarity to the degree not worth watching. Aircon noisy and light in panel very bright at night. Bar staff not properly trained or service minded, but other staff very friendly. Buffet at $59 was good, breakfast a bit average. Paying $300/night for a superior room not living up to expectations

reception staff were great and all staff very helpful. Would love for the meal side of our stay to be better as we come twice a year to your hotel with a big group.
D.We like staying here because it is handy to the city and there is a train station close by. The rooms are tidy, the restaurant is good and it is generally family friendly. The only negative on this stay was the lack of car parking due to a number of conferences being held. However the staff seemed genuinely aplologetic, took our vehicle to another park and had it back to us promptly when we checked out. Luckily once they parked it we didn't need it again until we checked out otherwise it would have been more of an inconvenience. They also didn't charge the normal parking fee so did everything to rectify the problem.
L.I was celebrating my husband's and mine birthdays, the staff were lovely and wished us happy birthday. They also organised a dessert in the room which was nice.
I did find the walls quite thin, in the morning we could hear kids yelling and running around. The bathroom looks a little worse for wear and there was only one of everything (bathrobe, toothbrush etc).
The breakfast buffet was nice, although some of the food in the gluten free section looked quite old.
I did find it strange that the reception staff tried to charge me for parking when it was included in my package. I also received a phone call the next day asking me about a charge at the mini bar for wine which I hadn't bought.
All in all, the staff were nice but I would have thought that a little extra detail on celebrating our birthdays would have been nice and not trying to charge me for things I wasn't supposed to pay.
K.The rooms are very good quality and so is the restaurant and bar. Very delicious food. It has a yoga channel and gym but no pool. Very friendly and attentive staff. Good location near Greenlane on / off ramp.
C.Had a business conference here, didn't stay over. Nice lunch and coffee etc. Good rest room facilities and parking was fine (pay parking however).
It wasn't overcrowded at the time and I thought the event was well hosted by Novotel.

N.Had the best time here. My mother in laws birthday was also held at the Novotel and the service was exceptional. Very hard to find service where staff had a smile on their faces the whole entire time. You made my mothers night the most special one she would not forget. Thank you for taking care of our family. The hotel was perfect especially with all the children we had with us. Highly recommend.
J.Excellent staff and facilities. Bed very comfortable. Wifi is expensive (free with accorplus though) and slow at 15mbps up and down but that's enough to do most things. Get a local sim card instead. Shower is great in fact the bathrooms are nice here. Would stay again

The room was clean and comfortable and the location of the hotel was perfect for our trip.
n.Great location for us being so close to the motorway. Cheap parking, only $7.50 per night which encourages us to return as some other Accor Hotels charge up to $35 per night (Wellington Grand Mercure). Free Buffet breakfast was great and we had a buffet dinner (half price as Accor members) which was also great. We received two welcome drink vouchers which were appreciated (Rotorua Novotel only gives you one voucher).
Room was clean and comfortable and staff welcoming and friendly. We will certainly make this our hotel of choice when returning to Auckland.
K.Staff member on arrival was very helpful, offered to help with taking luggage to room as my partner had very recently had surgery. Place was clean and tidy. Buffet dinner was good, as was buffet breakfast. Only down side is we could not book a movie and could not be fixed before departure. Overall a very good experience and would definitely stay again.

Had problem with door to room. Key card failed 3 nights in a row. Each time card was replaced no problems, but had to retrace steps to reception.
Eating from the bar menu was prompt, in comparison to the restaurant.

R.Rooms are OK, TV reception is below average and the sleep button not working on the remote is a PITA. I find the shower heads to be too high, and I can't adjust the temperature as high as I like it (I like VERY hot showers). Pillows are too soft for my liking (But you can order others). This sounds a bit negative, but really it's only nit picking. Rooms are clean and tidy and well laid out. Bar is good (New enclosed outdoor area is cool) and service is good. All in all I am Satisfied with my stay.
P.Novotel Ellerslie is always our "place to go to" for overnight Auckland stays. Reception staff are always so welcoming, courteous and helpful. Outstanding is the word to be used. Restaurant staff and Bar staff always get top marks from us. Previously we stayed 2 nights and dined in the restaurant. Fantastic Georgie was on duty and the restaurant staff were excellent. Unfortunately we were extremely disappointed with the meals and Bistro Pub type menu. Novotel has always had a high standard Menu and meals. The present Menu is very lack lustre with choice and meals over priced for what is presented. Usually I have had beautiful eye fillet steak or lamb. The Sirloin was the best quality option and left much to be desired for the cost. My husband often has the Salmon with a salad.....the only available fish was deep fried with chips.
This time on the 6th April we dined out in Remuera at a Thai Restaurant rather than dining in house due to the menu offered. Should the same menu still be offered on our next stay we will not dine "in house".
On another note one of our bath towels was very dirty and looked as if shoes had been cleaned on it. We were in room 2015. In all our stays at Ellerslie Novotel we have never experienced dirty towels and had to request replacement towels.
We return every time to Ellerslie Novotel because of the fantastic staff, comfortable beds and rooms. It would be great to see the Restaurant Menu and meals return to the previous high standard expected by Novotel.
g.I had the pleasure of staying here for just one night before flying out the following day. I also had relatives stay at the hotel and all of us were extremely satisfied with our stay. The rooms were very clean and comfortable and both the dinner and breakfast choices were really good. The food looked and tasted good. I'd recommend this place to everyone and would stay again.

Great location - easy train to Britomart for Queen St. shopping and a day at the races on our second day. great food experience - room service the first night was fast and very well presented and hot :) Superb selection for breakfast, you name it was there and EGGS COOKED TO TASTE TO ORDER!! C.Service was amazing! Rooms are nice and spacious, clean and tidy. Only feedback would be to have an ajustable shower head as I am short this was a little difficult to get he right amount of pressure. Also took me a while to find all the light switches. Otherwise amazing experience. Would defintely stay again.

However - only reason it is not a 10 - no window to open and too stuffy. Air conditioning doesn't really do the same job and just makes air too dry.
S.reception was ok, although slow, nice to receive a voucher for 2 complimentary drinks - which unfortunately we forgot to use to put against our bar tab - an automatic credit on the final bill would have been easier. But it was a nice touch. Bar menu has changed and not as easy to provide tapas for the group we were entertaining of 10+ people. Don't think you had enough bar staff on, one poor guy was trying to look after everyone .... he did well considering, but had to wait a while to be served. Miss your salt and pepper squid - that was a winner! But overall had a good stay. Keep up the great work, thanks guys.
C.Room was small but clean and comfortable and good value for the price. Having bar and restaurant facilities was an extra bonus. Staff were very helpful but the computer system wasn't helping them,. The first room they allocated to us actually had someone else in it so they were shocked when our key opened their door.

K.I arrived at check-in behind a very large party of tourists. One of the staff spotted me at the back and beckoned me to move past the large party - she could see that arriving late after a long journey, I was very tired. She asked politely whether I would like room service, and rang through to the kitchen to ensure that my order would get priority. The room service dining was top-notch and with a complimentary glass of wine. Just wonderful and responsive service.
T.An excellent four star hotel that does what it does do well. The breakfast quality was very good and so was the variety, the rooms were very well presented and clean. The service was personal, warm and responsive. I highly recommend Novotel Ellerslie if staying in the central suburbs.
C.Friendly staff with great service. I find the choice of dinner menu is very limited. But other things like the rooms and facilities make up for this. Breakfast service is very good.
A.Located right next to the race track, just off the motorway and just by the train line. A handy location, and the place I say when the hotels in town get too expensive for full. The bar and restraunts are good, nice selection of food and drinks. There is limited parking so get in early if you are driving. There is also coin laundry if you have been on the road which is much better than the usual laundry charges most hotels charge.
J.I was lucky enough to be assigned to this hotel for my Covid-19 isolation.
The Novotel Ibis staff were absolutely amazing (and the Police, NZDF and AvSec people too). They really went the extra mile to make you feel at home and welcome; despite the razor-wire, alsatians and armed guards.
The food was great, parking was plentiful and you also got free lollipops as part of the Covid-19 testing procedure.
10/10 would isolate for 14 days here again ; even if it were my actual dollars rather than my tax dollars paying for it.

T.We very much enjoyed this hotel away from the CBD. I was provided a room to which I walked in on some guests that had checked into this room earlier that day. The staff are fantastic. Located adjacent to Southern Motorway giving quick access to most of the city. We got a great rate so it was very reasonable.
D.Rooms were well maintained , tidy and clean. Used the gym facilities which were also kept to a high standard. Beds were very comfortable.
Only negative comments were in relation a humming noise which I noticed while trying to sleep at night. Appeared to come from a source external to the room. Also thought the price of breakfast was quite expensive.
M.Over all efficient and effective services were provided during my stay. However, toilet in the room needs some upgrade and variety of food items for conference dinner needs to be reviewed for higher guest satisfaction.
V.Front counter staff, food staff and cleaning staff were very friendly and help full, lovely place to stay, every body was going out of there way to be help full. Had a hire car but it was easy to catch the train (5 min away) to the city and use the hop on and hop off bus to see the local sites. j.Over the seven nights I stayed, the room was clean, tidy and I slept well in the bed. The room service was nice and the cleaners looked after the room well without moving any of my things.
They did forget to top up the coffee and milk a couple of times.
M.We really felt like very special guests from the moment we stepped into the foyer until we left the next day. We had excellent service from competant and just lovely staff, everyone was so helpful and accommodating. Our room was great, had everything we required plus we overlooked the airport and even saw our daughter's plane arrive from London at the crack of dawn. How cool is that and we couldn't hear a thing right next to the airport! Amazing!

t.We stayed in superior room on 2/F with twin beds for one night (Room 2003). The room is large and clean. The beds are large and comfortable. The breakfast is delicious with numerous choices. The only things that make me annoyed is that the shower is fixed and you cannot pick it out.
C.Very very busy and noisy. Bar staff seem inexperienced. Long wait for bar food and not very warm, but tasted good. Room could be better. See through blinds. Breakfast good. Have stayed in better.

L.Our young family recently stayed here due to the close proximity to the Mt Smart stadium venue. The place was amazing. The service from everyone from the reception to housekeeping was first class. Will definitely be staying here again next time we come up
T.We had a function on Sunday 18th Sep and everything was really good. We got a amazing time in the bar area where the staff were outstanding. I found the rooms and service alright but they're quite a bit off top marks and found a lack of attention to detail a bit off putting.
T.Upon arrival at the hotel I felt very privileged being looked after by the very friendly and helpful staff. For me breakfast of my selection of omelette fillings is a really good way of starting the day. A great experience and I had nothing to worry about from start to finish as Jesse had it all covered.

H.I had a business meeting here and this was a pleasant space for that meeting. The coffee was nice and we had a beautiful cheese platter. There is plenty of parking nearby and motorway access is easy. Would definately have other meetings here.

K.It's OK but maybe needs a bit of updating esp the food... Must have more taste, it used to be good but attended 60th party. Salad served lacks some love and flavour.
C.The breakfast was great, flavours were great. Very relaxed feeling around, staff were fast and friendly. I would have liked a bit more of a variety of hot food, but was was there was at a high quality!
W.Stayed in the Ibis however they share facilities and function areas etc. Unfortunately the service was not up to Accor standard with the buffet breakfast and the 20 minute wait for real coffee. The conference room was not set up and a number of AV issues created challenges you don’t want when running an event. All up disappointing and I know there will be improvements.
v.stayed one night. room luxurious, comfortable, clean and appealing. food could be improved. Raw entree did not appeal to me, but the mains was fabulous. overall had a wonderful time away from home.
A.Bed very comfortable. TV from the 70s - almost too dark to see what was happening.
Ordered room service and was delivered the wrong meal. Ate it anyway and tasty enough.
Had a 30 minute battle with the Nespresso coffee maker but won in the end.
L.WE enjoyed our stay. The only part we didn't quite like was that Whilst your invitation on upgrading through email stated that it would cost around $90+ when we checked in we were told it would be $110+ because the Junior suite was booked for 2 nights during our stay and therefore we could have the junior suite but we had to pay an extra $20 to the email offer price. We just feel no good will was shown on your part.
D.Its kinda lonely given its location away from any activity, public services, markets, etc. The room had no bathrobes, room slippers, drinking water bottles, although which were provided upon request.
The property is good though, a foosball table at the dining area.

G.Three nights at the hotel and all good. Faulty TV required some attention from staff, but the service to fix the problem was very quick. TV quality is a bit dated and I cxould not get the HDMI connection to work so gave up. Otherwise, everything else was great.

P.Satisfactory. The staff were awesome and the room itself was great. But the reception on the TV was terrible. The HDMI port on the TV wall didn't work, the TV remote didn't allow you to choose the HDMI option so couldn't watch movies from my laptop and finally the airconditioning made noise evening through to the morning.
N.Staff is considerate about holding furniture. NOT allowed to buy outside food and sit at the bar area even though you are purchasing a drink from the bar. I think that is very childish and being from the states, not used to such up right rules. I had paid money to stay there, clearly purchasing drinks from the bar, you can't allow outside food? That makes me feel like a child and I don't want to stay there ever again.
P.The new layout in public space makes area welcoming and bright. Plenty of spaces for small and large group meetings, always ready to support planning. Have been a long term supporter of the Rotary Club of Mangere.
And the food is creative and always fresh ... buffet dinner is always interesting and love the mini hangi pots
R.The bed was not up to the usual quality of Novatel, too much noise transmitted through the door between our room and the adjoining room, food was average, could not open a window for fresh air.

F.The access is insecure. Anyone can use the lifts as they don't need the room card to use. The sound proofing isn't good enough as I can clearly hear people talking at the other room or outside the door.
Regarding the service, I had to call in to confirm my booking as they didn't reply my email.
The room is ok.
S.I was informed by email to check in online to expedite the check in process which I did. But it did not happen.
It took me more than 30 min to get the room key.
When I arrived the counter and wanted to take the room key, it was not ready and my name was not found. And what surprised me was when I show them the email I received from the hotel about my confirmed booking, it was not a reservation not under my name until finally the manager came and solve it.
M.Over all efficient and effective services were provided during my stay. However, toilet in the room needs some upgrade and variety of food items for conference dinner needs to be reviewed for higher guest satisfaction.
L.All members of staff that I encountered were friendly and helpful. I was down in Auckland by myself to attend the Ascot hospital for a special treatment. the wagu steak was delicious. Too many choices at the breakfast bar and the hot food could have been hotter.
