My partner and I recently treated ourselves to an early Valentines night away at Parkside Hotel and Apartments. We loved it. The receptionist April was very welcoming and professional and the Executive Suite we booked was better than expected. The room was immaculate with a fantastic balcony view overlooking the city. Wish we could have stayed another night to enjoy the heated outdoor pool and jacuzzi. Would highly recommend!

I suggest get the spa suites you won't regret it. Went there 3 times just to chill and have a spa. The service this is top notch and really looking to seeing it with the restaurant open

We stayed in a 1 bedroom apartment and it was perfect! Room is so clean, staff is very professional and complete amenities. There's nothing more you can ask for. Will highly recommend to friends and family.

Great view of the park. You can see and witness many things from the balcony. The private hot tubs with the doors opening to the living area are incredible. Never seen anything like it! Rooms are good and quiet but the heater could definitely be stronger. Comfortable bed and pillows aswell. Had a great stay 👍👍

A very nice stay indeed, good service and nice rooms. Can not fault the location, away from the noisy and busy part of town, quietness is an essential requirement for us. Liked the view from the Balcony, great to have a relaxing coffee enjoying the view.

Highly recommended, good value, great service. The rooms are comfortable with nice little balcony, central AC is a nice improvement over previous stay, which had stand-alone noisy AC. Would definitely return whenever we are in Auckland.

Hotel staff were attentive from the moment I checked in! They sow I had my MTB on the back of my car, so ensured I was allocated a large car park with surveillance. I highly recommend booking a suite on the 10th floor the view of the city is beautiful. The rooms are spacious and have everything one could need during their stay, along with personal touches.

Enjoyed our overnight stay here. We booked in ahead of new years eve. Managed to score a Room right across from where fireworks wood be. Room was clean and tidy. Two critiques, 1) one of the elevators we went in had alot of sand flies in it. Not sure how they got there but it was swarming with them. 2) how high it was trying to get into the shower lol it was connected to a bathtub but it was quite elevated so made it a little tricky to get into. Other than that I did enjoyed the stay.

Stayed last night. Room was clean and the staff were wonderful and attentive. Went out of their way to help. Have been here for years when it was the amora and it is certainly still of a high standard, maybe even better. Thanks guys!!

Excellent service great apartment hotel to stay in Auckland city, handy to almost all the locations around the city center. Great staff very helpful and polite. Will definitely visit again on our next Auckland trip.

What nice and professional atmosphere with lots of facilities and great apartments.

Great location and very friendly staff. Room was large, clean and quiet. King bed was comfortable and we had a great night’s sleep. The hotel is a bit dated and the curtains in particular could do with replacing - but nothing major. Kitchenette also appeared to be sufficiently equipped and there was also a washing machine! Large balcony comes with beautiful views of the city. Didn’t try the pool or restaurant as we had to leave early in the morning for our next destination.

Good location and nice view of from the balcony of the room. Bed was nice and clean. However, the carpets were filthy, broken shower curtains which doesn't even slide, loose toilet seat and the curtain didn't cover the full window. Made it hard to sleep in. This was room 517. Some maintenance is definitely required.

I'm really enjoying my stay. I stay in a lot of hotels and what I particularly like about this one is you get the useful motel style set up of kitchen, laundry and balcony, but with the hotel feel. And the Eggs Benedict is sensational.

The room was spacious and very clean however the style of the room could do with an upgrade of interior decor and maybe more modern appliances as it felt a bit old and outdated. We enjoyed the small balcony where we could see a lot of the city and sky tower. The small kitchen was fully equipped and the room also had a washing machine making it very convenient for our stay. The location is pretty good but not as central as I thought it would be. However there’s a great park right next the hotel and you can walk to many great cafes, restaurants, and close to transport too.

Good, clean rooms and friendly staff. However on checkout, I had to wait for my room to be inspected, and was then accused of ripping the carpet in my room (I stayed for a single night on a business trip, so no wild carpet ripping parties took place). The hotel should be noting pre-existing damage to rooms if they're going to be holding guests accountable at the end of each stay - same as a rental car company would. I was quite embarrassed. Won't be returning.

even tho reviews warned from used, outdated furniture (they are but who cares), we really liked this place. for a good price we good a spacious room with a balcony and a kitchenette. it was clean and had everything we needed. service was nice and helpful!

Everytime I come to Auckland, one of the highlights is always my stay at parkside hotel. Desmond, Sonya and the team do a wonderful job making sure that our needs are met and out stay is the most pleasurable. The rooms are tidy, the right tempreture and the central location is ideal. A+++

Here's the thing, this is a 3 star hotel. And for a 3 star hotel it could be worse. The room itself is decent, it the location is central. I've stayed several times, though not always by choice. The rooms have a washer and dryer and ceramic elements, which is great. The fittings are dated and I can see how they could break, but I haven't experienced that myself. You do kind of get the impression the plumbing is going to blow out at some point. But the rooms are pretty clean and the are friendly. But guys, the breakfast, just no. Guys. K-Road is RIGHT there. Elliott Stables is right there. There are so many cool places to eat for half or the same price, and you'll have a great food experience.

Hotel was great! Booked a room with a spa bath and it was amazing. The bath robes were a bonus. The gym only has about 4 machines so don't expect much. But there's also sky movie channels, including Disney!

Service levels from bar and grill staff are to high standards. The Rooms are a nice size, with comfortable beds and good water pressure in the shower. Great place to stay! We paid extra for breakfast, however this left us very disappointed, there's room for improvement here in terms of freshness...especially the fruit juice offered!

Nice hotel. I did not try the breakfast but I got coffee and it was $5 not even from an espresso machine. There is small kitchen and washer and drier in the room(big surprise) so if you are staying for long time this is a great place to stay. There was laundry detergent provided too. The tub is also a mini Jacuzzi and there is a small heater in the bathroom.

Amazing views, amazing staff, amazing location, lovely spa and heated pool to relax in. Favourite aspects was definitely the stand out service from all staff, the heavenly beds, and convenient location! Will definitely be coming back!!!

The hotel facilities were good, the room even had a washing machine and hob for cooking if required. Our view of the sky tower was excellent and the location was very handy for the city centre. We were able to have the staff at the hotel book a taxi for us which came very promptly.

Date night sleep over. Fantastic service. Lovely hotel. We had a room with a spa overlooking Myers park. Loved the room on level 5. Parking cost extra. Room service food was brilliant and the server went above and beyond to meet our needs. The only down side was that the walls are quite thin for instance we heard the spa bath going in the room next door at 2am lol.

To keep it short, I'd stay again. Pros: Very good for extended stay. it's a quiet area but it's just a short walk from the center and Ponsonby area (while waterfront is very touristy, this is more a local area with some quirky character). Very clean. Good wi-fi. Large rooms with good views. Washer in the room if you want to do your laundry. Cons: the hotel feels a bit dated (everything still works and functional, but if you look for something shiny glittery - there are newer hotels around). I didn't leave hungry, but the breakfast could be better (if you don't eat pork products, there is not much chicken/fish/cheese based). It's on a mild hill, so if you have problems walking, it may be a bit hard.

Overall experience was okay. Bed comfortable and room warm. Pretty quiet too. Room quite old though and bathroom mouldy in places. Could do with a thorough cleaning. Towels thin and needing renewal. Bathroom renovation required. Staff try hard...but lots of room weren’t available at check in time. At breakfast a staff member leant across me while eating and removed the butter/spread container!! Quite rude! I wouldn’t stay there by choice

A pleasant place to stay, good location and quiet surroundings within walking distance to city centre and Sky Tower. The room is well appointed with a balcony, restaurant/bar, gym and heated pool are very nice extras.

We were very happy with our accommodations. Having a kitchenette and laundry facility was a plus. The food in the dining room was delicious. We would definitely stay there again

It is on a quiet street in the CBD which is good. The rooms was a good size and it had the two double beds together as one. Pillows where great! Didn't eat in the hotel as it is very close to K road, so we are there each night. Parking was underground and $22 a night.

Amazed at the size and quality of my suite room. Very affordable too. It came with two rooms including kitchen, living room, bedroom, bathroom and two balconies. Elevators are far too slow and need upgrading. Would recommend eating elsewhere perhaps on nearby K-Road.

Great location, very friendly and helpful staff. Well appointed room with good views. Room was clean and well layed out. The bathroom could do with a spruce up and deep clean. Shower head needs to be replaced.

This place needs some work. Staff stand around playing on their phones while you stand at the counter waiting to be seated in the restaurant. And you are the only one there. Then the table service is inconsistent from one day to the next. No water some days and water the next. The menu has a dish called dish of the day and it says it changes daily. It didn't changes the entire week I was there. The rooms are a bit tired. The staff attending them are inconsistent too as sometimes they don't complete their service and you come back to find no towels or no bath mat or no milk in the fridge. All staff are very friendly but not sure that they know what service is as perhaps the GM is not setting the right messages. They are all very presentable too and want to help but again inconsistent.

I love the spa bath and how it can open up to the room! The in room service was awesome. The only thing they didn't have was any soft drinks with our meals.

My apologies for my 1st review, wrong hotel, parkside was great & $100 bond, not 500 as I previously posted that was one in New market sorry for the confusion, this is my edited reveiw, great room have stayed here a few times now & it was just how I remembered it 10yrs ago been well maintained, & the staff were great, thankyou for replying so I realized I reviewed the place i stayed the previous night not parkside& had the chance to edit my review! 5stars from me!

Check in was fast. Parking available at a cost for guests. Room was nice and spacious with all amenities. The staff was courteous and helpful. One night we were last for dinner and the restaurant was closing but they made sure we had a comfortable hot meal. The place is walking distance from the main shopping area and if you don't mind walking a bit more then the waterfront isn't far too. Would definitely recommend this place.

Loved it. Had a great view from our room. 6 minutes walk from shops and iMax theatre. Big room. Good quality furniture and stocked mini bar. Staff were wonderful and very helpful. The grill restaurant looked really inviting and I wish we hadn't eaten before arriving. The ungrounded parking was very tight but convenient.

Nice, clean, modern and spacious room, quality restaurant, with spa and pool. However be careful when selecting the discounted car parking rate if you book online, it increases the rate by the said amount, but at checkout they tried to tell us the rate didn't include the parking. We had to go through the process of doing a mock booking on our phone to prove that it was already included. To their credit they apologised and refunded as we had just paid prior.

We had a room with spa bath. Sadly, it was not worth the price we paid for two nights. The fridge was leaking water when we arrived. And the toilet was also leaking and water constantly running. And there wasn't enough face clothes. Not good for a hotel charging $250.00 per night.

We were in Auckland for Auckland University graduation day, and this hotel was very handy to Aotea Centre where the ceremony took place. We left our car in the rather tight car park under the hotel and walked the whole day up to the University and back. We had dinner at the Grill, which was excellent- good food and service. The room was a good size, comfortable and clean. Our only issue being it wasn't serviced until 4:30pm and they had run out of clean towels. ( but this was rectified by reception straight away with towels fresh from the dryer).

Nice room with safe and all. Sadly their hot-pool was really cold.. probably recently refilled but with no sign. The pool was alright, bit cold and small but better than none! Staff was ok, not as friendly and helpful as you might hope sadly! Quite good view, none of the ocean thou!

Rooms are clean, if just slightly dated. Breakfast is standard fare and the location is a moderate walk to the waterfront, restaurants, etc. Free WiFi worked well enough for checking email and viewing websites but wouldn't try to stream video or music through it.

This recently refurbished hotel is nicely located in a quiet tree lined street near the central city. It's a short walk to theatres, the art gallery, the city library, Albert Park. Auckland University and AUT university. Regular, frequent buses pass by in a nearby street so you have the convenience without the noise. The staff are pleasant and efficient. Highly recommended.

Large room with good view. Includes kitchenette and washing machine. No safe though. One Lift is being refurbished so getting to 9th floor can be time consuming. Breakfast is decent and staff are helpful.

Very descent accommodation, neat and tidy. Not really expensive. 8 minutes walk to the City Center. Free WiFi, Pool, Bar and other aminities. There is a near park very handy for family with kids.

we loved the nigth we stay here the bed so comfy and spa bath well that was the best so enjoyed that, the stafff was so friendly and helpful woud come back here.

Not that impressed - its 'OK'.. but not up to the standards of Australian hotels. Its old, expensive, claims to be 4 star (personally feels more like a 3 star) and food at the restaurant is average for so much money.. not sure if this is the standard for NZ, or its just this particular hotel. Lucky work paid for it... else if money came out from my pocket, I would be highly dissapointed 😔

I wouldn't normal be bothered with this type of thing but my stay at Auckland Amora hotel is well worth putting an effort in fofor , the staff are solid 10/10 , the service is again a 10 if not higher , theres a fantastic bar , restraunt, swimming pools are more ve. My room was the best with this very cool bath with opening shutter windows to look out . This would have to be the best value for money hotel that I have come across and I've stayed in alot of hotels , thank you team & sorry about the messy room , top night!!

Stayed at the Pent House room for 3 nights. Within walking distance to many eateries. Everything was perfect😊.

Lovely reception area but sadly deceptive...this place is pretty tired. The aircon was super loud, whirring like a demon possessed. I was unable to turn it off due to a kiddie lock - had to wearily call reception in the wee hours to request they get it to STFU. The silence for the rest of the night, and well into the day after, was golden, although by mid arvo it had roared into life again and again had to ring up. Bathroom prone to flooding due to worn rubber sealants on the shower door. Although reasonably priced and a short stroll to Queen Street, so c’est la vie, I guess.....

easy parking very nice hotel with nice restaurant. the rooms are huge and come with comfy beds and nice pillows. sitting area in room and mini kitchen with washing machine (bonus) but no dryer. free wifi and best views of Aucklands central tower just outside (if on that side of building) friendly reception and affordable rates. Yes Recommend.

My husband and I stayed at the hotel before starting our big adventure. Value for money would be hard to beat. Anything we asked for was immediately taken care of. Very friendly staff who go out of their way to help us. Its really a luxurious home away from home for me.

Aditya Deshmukh, duty manager made my stay exceptional. Attention to detail. A great asset. He cared about my stay and wanted me to experience a great time while i was there for the Celine Dion concert in Auckland. Also a mention for the breakfast and lunch team. I'm dairy intolerant. All the lunch menu was not suitable. 5th he young lady made sure that the chef changed the ingredients to suit my dietry needs. Exceptional service. Rooms were clean, plenty of soaps , shampoos etc. I was able to use my room at 10am as I came in on an early flight from Masterson. The rooms were of a high standard as I would of expected. I would definitely recommend this hotel. It is in a great situation and you are able to get to Queens St. In 10mins strolling or there is a frequent bus service , by the hotel. My experience was EXCELLENT!

Bad stuff: front staff need to learn to greet and smile. Duvet had stains. Kichenette lacked cutlery, can opener, saucepans, and only offered decaf coffee. Bathroom had mold. Vent was dusty. Parking is expensive $22 pn Good stuff: Location. Room size. Kitchenette. Balcony. Bath. Washer dryer in room. Sky TV and free wifi. Staff quick to respond when rang for extra towels and saucepans. Bed comfy. Plenty parking and able to park right next to lift entrance. Highlight: The pool is heated and after a long day at the zoo it was the best. Perfect for family of 4.

It is a nice hotel, however they push two single beds together and put the sheets over them, to make look like a bigger bed. The staff were nice. I may not go back.

Well the place is not as nice as the pictures as how in the website...quite dated hotel, old carpets. Pool smaller and not as nice as the pictures. We got the room with a jet tub and the jets a very weak and only on the bottom... Literally only agitates the water. Payed too much for what they offered

Great hotel, Amos the receptionist is a key team player in your hotel, everybody else was very kind but he went out of his way to help you out find the places you wanted to visit. Awesome service and experience.

We'd booked on a special deal a few months ago after staying at the Amora in Wellington. After reading some of the reviews below, we thought we were in for a Fawlty Towers experience. We arrived and were met by a younger indian man - probably the bar man referred to below who could now be the manager! The check in was fast and efficient. My Visa card imprint was taken, which was not a hassle at all. The service was excellent. Our room was a spa room with a great view over the park and complimentary bubbly in the fridge. We didn't hear any road noise or even a single fire engine or police siren on a Saturday night. Our cooked breakfast was great and the 12pm checkout suited us well. The room was excellent apart from some very minor paint scrapes in the bathroom. All in all a great treat away and one of the better hotel experiences. Happy to recommend.

We stayed on the 9th floor. Had a nice room, nice view. The only complaint was that the 'king' bed was two twins put together, so you couldn't really sleep in the middle of the bed. I'd come back though!

Bed was very comfortable. Checkin was painless, meal was quite good. Staff seemed a bit unprofessional when serving for dinner, as they didnt tell us the special until I had asked. Otherwise i would stay there again

The Amora was my first stay in Auckland, and what a way to begin with a view of Sky Tower and the city (even if there's a few buildings between here and there that aren't the most sightly). We were able to get a corner room with that tiny triangle balcony, but was great for sights nonetheless. With this downstairs kitchen and living room followed by the upstairs bed loft and bathroom, there was more than enough space for the two of us, but also plenty when we had some friends over for a glass of Prosecco. As my current relationship was founded on our first stay here, we're even thinking about making it an annual tribute to come back and get our old room.

We were here for a conference and the service was amazing. The place looks fantastic.

Room was very pricey for being a bit tired and worn. One elevator was broken making for very long waits. Very noisy revelers in the streets overnight made sleeping difficult. Otherwise it was good.

We had a very good room with views of the Sky Tower and could not criticise the place at all. It Is well located with easy access to central Aukland and all that it has to offer. The bar and restaurant are relaxed and pleasant with good friendly service. Our only criticism was the desk service. A senior gentleman wearing glasses who obviously does not like his work and is doing you a favour by turning up. Terse, unhelpful, begrudging of his time, obviously more important things to do. Perhaps he was sick on the interpersonal skills training day, we became more and more amused by his determindly unhelpful approach but why he doesn't find another job he can enjoy I've no idea. Other than that a pleasant stay.

Friendly staff, good size room, a bit expensive, car parking is limited and very tight, one lift was being upgraded (for 8 months) so lift wait time were long and lift was temperamental. Rooms were quiet and bed was good. The in house restaurant has a limited range of food and prices are OK. Located a close walk to town and next to park. (stayed here for work, 4 nights)

Awesome hotel, super clean, very cool spa that leads into a pool.

Price is reasonable with it location & cleanness. Very close to the CBD, few mins walking to bus stops, subway & ferry station. Close to Zoo, Sealife, whole bunch of museums & amenities. Has a tiny outdoor pool & a spa. The pool water was a bit cold to swim, even it was summer. No other complaints.

Very clean and presentable entrance. Rooms spacious and well looked after. Wide corridors and amenities up to date. Staff very pleasant and huge dining area.

Hotel is well situated of a lot of local attractions, Sky Tower, Harbour & Ferries, Town Hall, Shopping all within walking distance. Rooms were comfortable, facilities as expected, staff ok.

I have stayed three times at the Amora and the service has been first class. Rooms are clean and today with good views. close to the CBD, excellent facilities though food a little rich for what you get. If you want a no hassles stay, Amora's the way to go.

This is not a luxury boutique hotel. It's a business hotel with no service unless you pay for it. $15.00 for express breakfast, that's toast and filter coffee or tea. $20.00 for continental breakfast. thats the above plus muesli, fruit and a cheese slice. Room service has a HEFTY $5.50 service charge attached to it. There are no dedicated bar staff, you know, you just want a quick glass of wine or a beer after your hard days work and you get some imbecile who pours the last of the wine into your glass and tops it up with a different brand. There is no service at the front desk, very dour/sour looking lot, no smiles - they must have an awful management team. I stay at a lot of hotels and will not be coming back.

Thia place is the definition of city night life on a whim me and the crew decided to head into the city late night and these guys were legends, 12am reception to answer any calls and great deals with super comfy beds , a fantastic view and great facilities, so next time you want a place to stay look no further than here

The only thing going for it was it's location. Hotel was very old and although room was decent, not much options available specially if you are hungry late night and want some food.

Loved the Amora. Boutique hotel. Great room. Centrally located in Auckland, walking distance to a lot of great places and only a $6 Uber ride away to the harbor.

The hotel is fairly decent for its price and is well located. The on site restaurant however is very slow, 25 minutes wait for an omelette, longer waits for dinner order. Needs a shake up.

A nice hotel, though staff were hard to find. The only staff that i can see around were the waiting staff at the breakfast restaurant. If you work around greys avenue, you can rent a car park in the hotel.

Advertised as a room that sleeps 3, however found only one queen bed and a sofa. Not a sofa bed but just a sofa. When paying twice the price of other hotels in the area I expect a minimum of a sofa bed, or the room to be advertised as sleeps 2 only.
