A.We had a wonderful High Tea here for a surprise birthday party for my mother. The ambience was beautiful, with so much attention to detail from our gracious host Judy, in regards to the lovely food and brilliant service. Everyone absolutely loved it and were so impressed. This would also be a great place to stay for a romantic weekend away, especially whilst travel is restricted. Overseas guests, once travel resumes, would find it such a haven, with everything on your doorstep including shops, ferry rides to our beautiful neighbouring islands and the city 10 minutes away. I would highly recommend it!!!.
p.We had originally been booked into the Scenic hotel in Auckland but cancelled due to building works. It was an absolute pleasure to stay at the Peace and Plenty in Devonport. The B&B is ideally located for the ferry terminal as well as local shops and restaurants. The owner, Judy, is extremely hospitable. Breakfast was excellent and rooms delightful. Judy has arranged discounts with a number of the restaurants locally. Limited parking is also available on a first come first served basis.

Judy has made my family feel so welcome and we return for a day visits and a cuppa always welcomed with a smile and Cooper is fantastic with everyone .Not sure what the other guy is talking about but could not fault the host the service or the food what a rare treat to have such a great place to stay instead of a impersonal Hotel one of Aucklands best kept secrets !!
K.Quaint old home that has been converted to a B & B, with high teas offered at weekends. You can enjoy a glass of bubbles with your high tea, whilst wearing one of their multitude of hats (assortment of colours & styles). Was a little disappointed by the selection of high tea goodies and teas, although the warm fresh scone at the start of the tea was a lovely touch.
A.High Tea at The Peace and Plenty Inn was absolutely lovely. We were very spoilt and the food and ambience were amazing. Highly recommended!

S.How sad that someone had to add a racial slur to their review of Peace and Plenty Inn in Devonport, Auckland. I have stayed there on many occasions and could not fault any aspect of this lovely property. How anyone could call the owner, Mrs Judy Machin, rude is beyond me - she has always been exceptionally helpful. Maybe you mistook someone else for her ...what a shame.
G.Enjoy Auckland, but take a short ferry across the harbor to Devonport's charm and water front. This inn is on a park, next to restaurants and cafes. Nights are quiet and only seagull and waves serenade your stay.
