Checked in to the president late on a Friday night, thankfully it was a breeze. We paid extra for parking which seemed worth it.
The rooms were clean a little bit out dated but for the price can't really complain.
We had the breakfast in the morning which came with the room and due to covid the buffet was down but regardless the cooked breakfast was really good!
Fair price, good spot in the middle of the CBD would recommend to anyone wanting to stay.
A.
Lovely movie star style hotel..clean luxurious bed with nice sheets Lovely staff and excellent location try breakfast next time. Great deal great stay. Highly recommend
M.
Thank you guys for the amazing service you all were so friendly and that I thank you for looking after us from first security Christchurch the amazing receptionist team was always caring and always said hello in the morning and afternoon so I would definitely recommend this hotel to anyone that's travelling from all over the country and from overseas. Nga mihi

Great central place to stay, not a new hotel but worth staying at. Clean rooms and comfy beds. Good heater in room. Coffee and tea in small kitchen with kettle and microwave. NZ toiletries. Clean bathroom. Breakfast buffet good selection but hot food could have been warmer. Staff very accommodating and also they have a secure locked room for your luggage if you're early or have a late flight. Would definitely stay again

Room was very basic, bed was comfy but unfortunately the building needs to be redecorated it feels very dated and doesn’t give you the feeling of being in the CBD. Currently roadworks is right outside the hotel door, we were on level 1 and the noise wasn’t too bad but possibly had it on a good day. The car park below is way too expensive for the trouble of trying to even fit your car in a space, there is a Wilson car park across the road so would probably recommend using that car park. We were served at the front desk by a lovely gentlemen who was super helpful and we’re always greeted with a smile.
S.
Quality hotel, the breakfast isn't much but that could be a Covid-19 effect, rooms are nice
H.
Great experience. Supper friendly staff and the rooms were great. Family, business or casual this is the hotel for you. And you can't get any central with close shops.
Edit: added pictures of a very awesome room i had. Very comfprtable ans very minamalistic feeling to the rooms vibes

Right in the heart of the Auckland CBD. Excellent service from all the hotel staff. Will be staying there again when I go back to Auckland.

We had a really bad experience the night before in an arbnb in Auckland so we booked this place with a bit of concerns because of the reviews but for us was a super good experience. The location is perfect, near to everything, we had breakfast included for the price so that’s really good as well. It was clean and tidy and with a microwave inside the room and some kitchen staff. Of course because of the location it will be noisy as any big city but we couldn’t be bothered, we enjoyed our stay and slept really good.
M.
From the reception to the in house cleaning crew to the dining staff--everyone was remarkable--friendly and helpful taking the extra step. The beds were a bit hard for us and aircon somewhat noisy but the price actaully took care of that as it was perfect not being expensive. Also close and easy to everything including Countdown 2 doors down. Thanks to all your services which were very much appreciated!
D.
Great stay. Parking cramped, but that's city for you. We had the two rooms suite and was amazed at how spacious it was. My only complaint was the beds were a little soft. Breakfast was great and staff really nice and welcoming.
N.
Great central location room was clean and they added an extra bed for a third person.
The staff had good banter and gave us a late check out. Carpark is attached to hotel and after check out we were allowed to keep our car there for a few hours . Only criticism is that the toilet could use an extraction fan. The result of a night of indulgence leaves a thick pungent aroma that takes an extended time to disperse.
L.
I had my doubts after reading the reviews but it was fine the road works outside block the street but really easy walking to queen st and up to sky city busses at both ends...room was big and basic and clean all you need...heating was good we had a city view... breakfast was good .
M.
Was a nice place but very tiny.
Only one window within two rooms also. The window also was barred so hardly any air. It was so so hot! One fan and the air con was hard to turn on. Breakfast buffet was very nice! Very yummy.
The receptionist smells like a gym room, so do the foyers of the room and the elevators which was a bit of a turn off. Beds were too soft for my liking but still ok to sleep on.
Great location though&, great service from the staff!
Would I go back? Not to room 701 but maybe another room! :)
3 stars for service!
C.
Great location and friendly staff. It is basic standard but cleanliness good and comfortable. Decor a little dated but functional. Good breakfast available.
B.
Pretty good. Had everything we needed in our room with good heating and comfy beds. The brekky included was plentiful and delicious with a buffet. Only thing lifts were slow and had to wait alot but I suppose the 3 lifts were busy
j.
Great hotel and location. Staff were very friendly and helpful. Hotel is older but price was very good and included all you can eat buffet breakfast so is very good for the price.Great for families . My bed needed an upgraded mattress as was lumpy and I could feel the springs. I would definitely recommend this hotel.
R.
Not the flashiest hotel however reception staff were very helpful. Great location a short stroll to the Civic theater. Room was clean and well presented. Great room rate which included breakfast.
s.
The only thing I could fault was, there was a used towel on top of the wardrobe ( that wasn't ours) other than that our rooms where clean and tidy the breakfast was good and the juice was super yum. The reception people where super friendly and easy to deal with. Loved how we didn't have to go far for food, supermarket and the warehouse.
S.
exactly what we needed, comfy all round, great price and a lovely breakfast served for guests. Front desk customer service were helpful and outgoing. It was an end to our 2 week holiday around north island so the hotel for our last night sight seeing Auckland and the SkyCity casino just across the road was a bonus.
M.
Great place to stay in the heart of the CBD. Not the most modern of hotels but the room was spotlessly clean. The staff are super friendly and helpful. Highly recommend for a sub $100 per night for 2. 🙂
T.
I made a mistake in the date and time of my stay.
However, the kind staff changed the date of my stay.
The rooms are clean, and there are many stores nearby, so you can enjoy a comfortable stay.
l.
Great location. Really clean and staff were very helpful. Car park was tricky with a big car but staff helped us find one we could fit in although the cost for car parks is quite pricey. Would definitely stay here again as the location was hard to beat.
P.
We stayed for one night for our anniversary. It was wonderful. Very comfortable and clean room. The view was great and the location was perfect. The hot breakfast was really good and plentiful. The staff even put a bottle of wine in the room for our anniversary. Very thoughtful. Our stay was great. Highly recommended.
M.
I spent one night at the president hotel. The room was sizeable, with a lovely view of the skytower, a beautiful big bathroom, thankfully an efficient heater and a huge, comfortable bed. The room was clean, comfortable and quiet. The hotel is walking distance from the skytower, many fine and casual dining opportunities and other entertainment.
N.
Good for price. Location is good breakfast was ok. Room was ok, air-conditioned worked well, microwave and decent plates etc. Simple, clean. Pillows not great.
l.
The staff were amazing & extremely helpful & polite. The bed was a tad annoying as the mattress kept sliding to one side making it an uncomfortable sleep & the mattress needs replacing as it was torn on one side. The shower made a noisy sound & was a bit anxious it was waking everyone up in the morning & the parking was a bit awkward at some points. Was hard to get a park. Breakfast was amazing. Overall would come back again
S.
Great location but very noisy. Standard rooms. Cooked breakfast is a nice extra.
D.
Awesome staff, delicious breakfast and convenient location. Everything I needed. Nothing is overly fancy but everything is done well. Would definitely use again because it is worth the price.
S.
Our reception at the hotel on arrival was very below average but the departure experience was great, what a lovely lady. The room was clean but the fixtures and fittings are rather dated and the bed was not very comfortable. A deep clean would also help in bringing life back to the room. Location convenient.
G.
You get value for money in this hotel. It’s well maintained and clean. The bed is comfortable. Hot water is reliable. The service is superb. Best of all it’s in the heart of the city! Countdown, a chain of supermarkets in New Zealand is 100 meters away, Sky Tower is less than 300 meters away. It’s simply exhilarating to discover this place!
S.
Did the basics well, tried to charge me personally for breakfast which was on charge back but they soon sorted that. Room was basic but quiet, clean and tidy. Kitchen was again basic but perfectly fine. Possibly need to invest in some new beds in the not so distant future but I've slept in worse.
b.
Stone's throw from queen's Street shops and the sky tower. Countdown supermarket 20 metres away. Short walk to the waterfront. Art gallery Cathedral Aotea Square short walk. Staff efficient friendly.
M.
Very basic hotel nothing fancy. Front desk deco looks like in the 80's. Need to bring your own tooth brush, tooth paste, cotton bud and bedroom slippers. Family room is spacious but only one of the room is with air con. The other room only have a standing fan for air circulation. A pantry with microwave for light warm food. Overall basic, clean but i expected better ammneties and a more modern furnishing in the room.
J.
Great location. We had a 2 bedroom apartment. The pros were a full kitchen and full laundry in the apartment, with small lounge and dining area too. It is a few doors from a full supermarket so we were able to cook, but it equally central to every sort of eatery you could want. The downside was The rooms were small and even on a Wednesday and thursday night were very noisy from street noise, and the elevator shaft next door.
J.
Clean and tidy. Large rooms with large bathrooms. Parking at Wilson's parking across the road. The cooked breakfast is not expensive. Best value for money I have found in Auckland by far.
M.
Nice, tidy rooms.
Terrible shower pressure though.
The lady at the front desk was a bit "confused" and hard to understand.
Would stay there again.
F.
Good hotel, friendly staff and excellent service.
They also provide a shuttle service to the airport as well as a 24 hour reception in the lobby.
It has a small restaurant that is used to serve breakfast for a small price, which totally worth it. They serve a buffet so you can pick and choose from all sort of dishes. They have bacon, sausages, fresh juice, milk, tea, coffee, fresh fruit, yoghurt and a variety of cereals.
The rooms are clean and spacious. The rooms have a small built-in sink, fridge and microwave. The shower was spacious enough for even two people.
Your room key also gives you access to the building's own gym.
All in all a very good place to stay during your visit to Auckland.
L.
Great front desk staff, very friendly and professional. Spotless big airy room with a window that could open. Great complimentary breakfast.
S.
It was around $100 per night for me and the size of the room is quite average.
I didn't have credit card but I was able to pay the security bond in cash which is $100 each night so if you're staying here for a long time and don't have a credit card, make sure to call them about the cost of the security bond.
Anyway, their bathroom and shower is super clean and modern, water pressure is great and their bed is hard and comfy.
I liked how the cleaning service was always after the afternoon.
The only downside is that they have fun channels(showing TV shows from other countries and not just UK, AUS and NZ) but they show 2 to 5min adverts every so often haha
P.
Great little hotel and good breakfast options....at $92 all up it was way cheaper than Uber into the city and home again after drinks😊
S.
For the price this is a good place to stay in central Auckland. My room was dated and devoid of any character, but very clean. Despite the firm bed I slept well. No intrusive street noise on level 13. The team at reception were friendly.
G.
We stayed only a night and didn't encounter any issues. Staff were pleasent to deal with; our room was clean and the hotel was well kept
E.
The check-in and out were flawless, friendly and fast. The room was OK. Slightly noise from the lift meant one of us had a sleepless start to the night. But the room was clean and tidy. It housed everything you need to stay for longer than the 1 night that we stayed. Breakfast was OK also. Not a huge selection of hot foods and some of the items were a little cold but was acceptable. Car park was tight for a ute sized vehicle but a smaller vehicle would be fine. Would stay again for a good rate.
B.
The beds aren't too comfortable, and the rooms and decor are dated. Excellent location, but the parking space we were given does not fit a Carolla between the front and back lines. Staff were helpful and service was good. Rooms aren't greatly sound insulated, so can hear traffic clearly on the 14th floor. Overall, not bad given the location and price.
N.
The experience was satisfactory. Hotel reception was friendly and patient. Everything seemed clean and tidy, although a little dated. Located in a convenient place in the middle of the cbd. We chose it because it was cheap, but it's very basic. No shampoo/body wash/conditioner/lotion/slippers offered.
The beds were unbelievably soft! As soon as you sat down, you sank immediately to the mattress base, as if the mattress itself had no springs. Fortunately we were staying in a three bed room, and my friends were generous enough to give me the relatively more firm bed. It was a little misleading on the booking web site though as it advertised three twin beds but we got only one twin and the other two were super narrow singles.
The room's carpet seems to be flea infested, I woke up with bites all over my body, but if you are the type to be unscathed after a night of sleeping with fleas, then it's suitable for you.
K.
Old hotel situated at the city centre of Auckland. Two rooms apartment is comfortable for a family of four with a shared bathroom. The unit is clean and spacious. And we are happy to get a parking lot nearby. It's so convenient for us to move around for meals and entertainment.
S.
Excellent location, only a minute or two walk to the Sky Tower.
Nice clean room, dated decor, comfy bed, would recommend. If choosing this hotel ensure you understand how to exit & enter the hotel after hours.
R.
Not bad for its price, the location is the best part as it is in the centre of everything.
Could improve its gym equipments as 3 of the 5 they have is out of service.
Staff are friendly and easy to deal with
J.
We were there overnight before we flew home. The rooms were comfortable the beds were too.. It suited us. There were 8 of us. They had a scale to weigh our bags which was great. Some of us were over the limit before we got to the airport.. Nice place.
D.
Chris you are the real MVP! I called you guys and enquired about your buffet breakfast which is usually for your hotel customers which is allgoods but I said that me and my bestie wanted to.clme.have brekkie for.our birthday 2nd October which is today and you were so nice said yes absolutely I asked about parking and you arranged it for us. Then on arrival greeted so nicely at the front desk.had breakfast which was like a home away from home LOVED IT and we get told by the lovely waitress that she was told by Chris that it was our birthdays and got complimentary pancakes!! The service from.start to finish was AMAZING! thank you a million. Definitely will be back.
j.
These people were great, held my room for me even though I wasnt able to show up for my first day. Then they held my luggage for me while I wandered around the town. The staff were friendly and efficient. My only complaint would be their coffee shop/ bar. The limited breakfast selection was definitely a come down.
M.
The location is good as just walking distance from sky tree and reception is 24 hours open.
Close to convenient store and Count down.
Room wasn't spacious and parking lot is underground and too much hustle to park each time as parking space is so tight.
Overall nice hotel though
R.
Although there is a lot of construction in the area, the stay was surprising quiet. The staff was very helpful, booking us a taxi and making sure we knew where that taxi could actually get to with street closed in front. The room, although plain, was clean and the kitchen well stocked. The location to access downtown is very good.wished there was breakfast as that is part of why we pick best western hotels.
A.
It's clean, not up to date, noisy with all the construction going on and the air conditioners don't work. Kitchen is a hall with a small fridge and a microwave. AND you have to pay an additional $25/per night to park in their garage (parking on street in free from 10pm to 8am, 6am in some spots. But you are only sleeping here while you explore and enjoy your holiday. Also, they have great people at the front desk, very helpful and polite.
L.
The facilities at this hotel reflect the low price of the rooms. The beds aren't very comfy and the shower only has 15 minutes of hot water. It is also very noisy. But it's in a very good central location and everything was clean and neat.
G.
Family friendly. We stayed in a 3 bedroom apartment and made a booking on very short notice on a weekday. Staff are absolutely fabulous. Rooms were clean and linen was fresh. We really liked the fact that it was a fully furnished apartment including dishwasher, washing machine, dryer and kitchen facilities. Very handy to countdown supermarkey just a couple of shops down from the hotel. Handy to everything as it is right in the heart of the city. They also have a gym onsite and a restaurant which we didn't try (maybe next time).
N.
Really nice rooms and a small garage on site if you're lucky enough to get a spot. The staff is nice as well. I'm glad we booked the breakfast buffet as well because they have pretty good eggs and pancakes. It's also a couple blocks from the coast.
B.
Hotel was clean and tidy. As with all hotels, carpets and couches could do with a steam clean. Extra amenities in rooms were helpful. Gym is very minimal but able to provide the basics, although hours are limited due to being amongst guest rooms.
G.
As budget hotels go, this place is surprisingly OK. Ideal for a travelers or budget conscious busy trippers. I had room 412: a standard room on low floor, but a good size, with large comfortable bed. Bathroom also not small. The room is a bit dated and worn, but clean enough. A pleasant surprise was the kitchen sink, microwave, and basic flatware and cutlery. You don't usually get this in a standard hotel room. As someone who enjoys a bowl of cereal for supper, and a light breakfast, with a supermarket just next door, I was appreciative It's a middle point between a serviced apartments and hotel room.
The view was terrible but you won't be looking out the window. The location is handy for everything. The iron didn't have any burns, TV was large, but I didn't turn it on. Towels and linen are standard and acceptable. Plenty of cupboard space.
The air conditioning is quite old and noisy. I turned in on when I checked in, and went out for the evening. This meant I could turn it off before bed. A sensible traveler carries ear plugs anyway, which you may benefit from, due to the busy central location. The shower had a 15 minute limit on hot water, but I didn't notice.
Central Auckland hotels can be quite bad, regardless of price. I'm surprised to say that I would stay again.
D.
Decrepit for its name, but amazing location
The name "President Hotel" is almost too rich to be anything related to an accurate representation of the premises, as from the exterior to the interior it is no better than most backpackers lodges I've been through and really isn't befitting of the label "hotel" much less a "president hotel". The property is worn down and in need of renovation throughout, the rooms look very dated and cramped. The price really reflects that but even then it should have been a little better in its offerings for the price which was very cheap for a "hotel" but not that cheap with all factors considered.
The location is at the very best location in Auckland, I'd know as I've lived in Auckland all my life. It is located extremely centrally for Auckland CBD and is the closest to all the premium shopping and city attractions Auckland CBD has to offer.
There were no problems at all with the customer service and one gentleman behind the counter was very warm and attentive in his attitude.
Overall a great choice for a low-cost multi-storey accommodation right in the heart of the CBD.
J.
My husband does not like this 1980s designed apartment style "hotel" but I find it ok. It is clean and spacious. However the breakfast room ventilation can be improved. Our clothes reeked badly of food smell after breakfast here.
S.
This is a standard Best Western. It's a bit dated, and you can tell by the sealant in the wall and window corners, and the mattress. However, staff were very friendly and helpful, the bed was still very comfortable (I had come off at 14 hour flight at 5:30AM and had to go out for a walk until check in at 2), and I was out like a light as soon as my head hit the pillow. Small fridge came with some creamer which was a pleasant surprise. They don't do that here in Canada. Breakfast is not included, but there is free WiFi. I didn't drive in, but there's a sign at the front desk recommending to register with them early to guarantee a spot, otherwise you have to park elsewhere and pay, or something.
C.
Very nice place, has all the facilities required. Staff are nice enough and served me well. I especially enjoyed the flirty female working when i came in. I enjoyed the place thoroughly and the services provided. Im unsure however weather i would come here i was suffering from any variation of hepatitis the vibe of the place also felt specially threatening to hepatitis A. Im unsure weather they would allow you to bring in an animal however big it may be. I would like to emphasize that i strongly feel hep A is not welcomed here.
D.
Five stars because of the way the hotel refunded our stay because of continuous noise outside. The council noise control officers came and said they would serve a noise abatement order on the adjacent property but I guess these things take time.
Anyway our accommodation was functional. Everything worked as expected. Our sitting room was enormous.
Convenient and centrally located. I assume the noise problem was a one-off, so on balance recommended as a city centre stay.
I.
Amazing location! It was right across the road of the Sky Tower and was easy to visit most of the attractions in Auckland. The room was simple like a college dorm but it was very clean and comfortable. Housekeeping did an awesome job. The only confusion was the form Housekeeping left stating they could provide housekeeping service until 4pm. If you have placed a do not disturb sign on the door, housekeeping will drop this form inviting you to call for housekeeping service till 4pm. If you do call, the front desk will tell you that housekeeping has left. When I asked front desk why they said housekeeping is only available until thd housekeeping staff finishes each day. The front desk wasnt even aware of what was stated on the form. I had to bring the form to the front desk before they agreed that the info on the form was incorrect. Front Desk staff were friendly and efficient.
O.
Pleasant hotel in city center. A bit noisy at night from streets but quiet down after 2 am. Staff are helpful and pleasant. Bed mattress have seen better days. Satisfying stay overall.
B.
Stayed one Thursday night in May. Location is perfect. We had a rental ute and found the carparking area tight as anyone with more than a small car would - but appreciated having an undercover parking option in cbd for reasonable extra cost. The room/bed was very comfortable and clean.
Many thanks to the reception staff member on our arrival - very helpful and efficient.
Would definitely stay again.
B.
Central location with most things in walking distance. We did make use of the underground parking facilities, expensive but good for peace of mind. Did need to drive out to the Botanical Gardens as the time taken to get there on the bus was too long.
Suite was spacious, separate bathroom, kitchen area and bedroom/lounge. Good Wi-Fi reception. Supermarkets close by providing everything you would need if you decided to eat in your room rather than sampling the many restaurants in the area.
Staff very helpful and friendly.
We had the a la carte breakfast on one morning and did not choose to repeat the ex perience.
Easy journey back to the airport in under thirty minutes. We drove but there was a shuttle service run by the hotel at a cost.
H.
The hotel has a decent location, near the sky tower, a pleasant walk from the harbour, a grocery store a couple of doors down, and several dining options within a half mile, including an epicurean establishment with many excellent choices inside. The first floor of rooms has an uneven floor in the hallway and the rooms because they are above the businesses below, and the street is on a fairly steep hill at that point. Our room was initially on that floor, and was weirdly shaped. Having recently stayed in an odd room, we asked for a more normal room, and got moved to the thirteenth floor or thereabouts. The room was pleasant, the Wi-Fi plentiful, and there were plenty of places to put our luggage, unlike the previous hotel we had stayed at in Sydney. The bed was decently comfortable, but for someone with back problems, it probably won't be the best. Some of the staff was very helpful; others must have been new. There appears to be an issue with homelessness or panhandling right in that area (there were always a few beggars around), but it may have also been related to the time of year.
S.
Smiling and helpful staff. Specialy Julie, Chris and Gurvinder (the sikh guy).
Situated in the heart of the city. Rooms were very clean.
Gave 4 stars coz breakfast spread was same everyday. We were here for 10days and eating same stuff daily! But Lucky, the chef was understanding and gave us few different options in veg.
Overall, very good and pleasant stay!
c.
Right in the centre of the city. Main shopping streets and restaurants available around the hotel till late night. Sky tower is accros the road. Spacious rooms. Very clean. All facilities are available in the room. Bathrooms are clean and spacious. Staff are very polite and helpful. Only problem is the limited parking spaces for which you have to pay extra. If not you have to park at other paid parking facilities within walking distance though. Buy this is bit inconvenience if you have big luggages.
i.
Cheap and central location. Rooms were clean though the age is a bit telling. Sound insulation in the rooms were quite poor and we could hear people making lots of noise. Overall it was still cheap so you get what you pay for...
j.
Special thanks for Lisa who is very nice to help us settle down and call a cab to airport. Also when I told her about dryer in 12th floor is not working, just want to let them know about it. When I left., she returned money back to us. I did not expect it but feel very blessed.
J.
Nice hotel downtown. Parking garage is tight. Don't forget about the main power switch located just inside the hotel door (this seems to be a power savings that shuts down all lights), there is a red handle that needs to be activated or else all your room lights will not work :).
B.
My room is slightly dated as you can see from the photos. Clean and tidy throughout (no issues with that). In the central of Auckland CBD and a walking distance to shops and restaurants, especially to Auckland casino (for the punters out there 🤑).
Overall experience; average.
Would I go back? Maybe if I get a modern (refurbished) room on my next trip.
k.
Great location and helpful staff. We didn't get much sleep on Saturday night due to the street noise, but we guess it's to be expected in the downtown city! Very clean and spacious, would stay here again.
s.
Pretty nice place but don't expect The Ritz for the name of the place. Helpful and friendly staff. Dont bother with the gym. There are 4 machines and only 2 work.
T.
I checked in the hotel this month for 2 nights. We got a great price for the room. All in all a good hotel in a good location with great transport connections. The team was professional from the minute we placed the reservation. We would come back any time here again.
C.
Was here the weekend the hotel changed management. Staff were excellent at sorting out our booking. Family room/suite suited our needs perfectly. Great location.
E.
Good clean basic hotel in CBD. Comfy bed. Value for money.
B.
Plenty of room in the apartment and the room is lovely however very difficult to park and if you'd like to park under the hotel it's $30 a night and I'd recommend booking far in advance. Even then, car park is not super accessible and spaces are tiny.
D.
It's like something off a bad American movie but not all bad. Room was clean but old. No air conditioning in room which was a first for me. Would hate to stay here on a hot day. Breakfast was eatable but nothing special. Most staff were Chinese or phillipino
It is ok for cheap tourist travel but no good for business travel.
N.
The decor is dated, but the room was HUGE and the staff really friendly and helpful. The value for money was great, would definitely stay again if I needed central functional accommodation at a great price!
G.
Reasonable price and good sized room. Quite a lot of noise from the street. Breakfast was ok, but pretty slow to keep the buffet topped up.
R.
This hotel is a great hotel at a reasonable price located in a good location. Unfortunately, there is construction currently nearby that goes on day and night causing noise 24 hours a day. This is temporary. The hotel staff are generally helpful, but we had a problem with a leaky toilet that we reported 4 times and which was not repaired during our stay.
R.
Central, room okay, good brekkie, very noisy air con all night
P.
The only fault there is no hand rail for Bath/shower. Breakfast is wonderful, staff very helpful.
S.
It's in a busy street but the room was clean and comfy. I'd like to make a special mention about the 2 girls on reception, Lisa and Liz, who were very kind in sorting us out when our travel agent messed up our booking. Thank you
J.
Clean room, firm mattress but no mattress pad and could feel all the springs, so not restful. AC disappointing. Nice location, within a couple blocks of the sky tower.
A.
Very nice and comfortable. The room was clean and staff were helpful. Location is great as most things are in a short walking distance. Would definitely stay again.
J.
Perfect location in the centre of the city. Close to casino, Elliot Stables, cinema and theatres. Quiet, comfortable. Great breakfast
S.
Centrally located in the CBD with nice, clean room with kitchenette (sink, microwave, kettle, plates, cups, utensils, coffee, and tea). Lots of shopping and restaurants in the area, and a supermarket 20 meters from the hotel. This was a great option for fresh fruits, water, and snacks. Asian night market across the street on Friday or Saturday nights. Walk 2 minutes to the famous SkyTower.
TRANSPORTATION
You can take the shuttle from the airport curbside to the hotel's front door, it is a 40 minute ride. I believe I paid $25 NZD. However, transport is cheaper if there are more people in your party. The hotel arranged my return to the airport by shuttle. Also, there are many public transport options within feet of the hotel.
Found this helpful, be sure to like.
C.
I only stayed the one night including breakfast.
The staff where friendly and courteous.
The hotel was very central and within walking distance of many attractions
t.
Nice place to stay. Receptionist were wonderful so helpful. Breakfast was lovely so filling as much as you want
g.
Room was a bit smelly on walking in. Small adequate a bit gloomy. Parking underneath like entering a dungeon. Come on people brighten the whole place up. TV wouldn't work for the two days I was there and WiFi is useless.
d.
Clean and comfortable room. Great customer service. Perfect location right in heart of city. Thanks so much for my stay
S.
Clean, central, very well priced, big room, great buffet breakfast
C.
Great location, great room, lovely breakfasts! Friendly staff, Lovely stay! Thanks.
D.
Great CBD location, easy walking distance to shops and harbour. Ideal for 1 or 2 night stay.
Room was quiet and adequate for a short stay. Excellent reception service let down by a disappointing breakfast.
a.
We enjoyed our time at the hotel. nice friendly staff.
In the city center all the shops are close by
C.
Hotel was very nice. Location is fantastic. The only downside was the noise of the construction in the morning but that's not the hotels fault. Would recommend.
A.
Location was perfect for our needs.Room was spacious and clean. Great place to stay, wouldn't hesitate staying here again. Nice and friendly staff :)
H.
A good place to stay if you don't have other options available. The location of the hotel is good but overall a really average hotel.
O.
Not my favorite hotel. Didn't seem clean and I felt like I was surrounded by stale air. The garage was ridiculously cramped. Typical English breakfast provided.
H.
Nice view, nice rooms but parking can be pain
S.
Great location wonderful helpful staff. Would recommend this place. Stayed there twice in 1 week and they were great to deal with
Z.
The best part, its location. It really is close to everything and that's how it is priced 'cause that's where the pro's stop. I would call this a serviced apartment with dated little hotel rooms. Nothing is complimentary, no internet or parking and no room service. Would stay again but only on a deal at approx 60% of standard room cost and no vehicle to park.
K.
The hotel's is located in the middle of the city, which is really convenient for tourists.
Clean and spacious room, although the facilities may look a bit dated.
J.
Old fittings needs upgrade. Shower over a large high bath not safe for older people. No fans. Great position in center if Auckland close to everything.
A.
Good value for money stay! Room was clean and comfortable. Room wasn't fully soundproof and a bit of a mess outside the rooms was displeasing but overall the stay was enjoyable.
A.
The rooms have an outdated aesthetic and are worn. The WiFi was slow and only lets you connect on one device. It has a good location however.
D.
Amenities a bit tired. Not easy to park for checkin and parking at hotel very tight. Breakfast items all cold and some not cooked through. Very convaenient location for centre of town, tower, waterfront
P.
It was great staying this hotel for 4 days, and the receptionist were great. Seeing the city centre and SkyTower in the room was quite relaxing. The only one flaw is that our TV disconnected from the net.
J.
Probably closer to 2.5 stars, rooms are a bit old and run down. Lift was very noisy and street noise can be heard even on the 4th floor. Not much service to speak of. Nothing in the mini-bar.
W.
Great central location for first-time visitors to the CBD. However, did not match the standards expected of a Best Western. Sorely in need of a renovation, hotel appeared shabby and in some places dirty. Lobby was gloomy and uninviting, rooms smell musty, masking a previous in-room smoking policy.
M.
Construction in front but lobby clean and welcoming. Snack shop. Staff friendly and accommodating to early-arriving guests. Room clean and comfortable. Floor quiet.
A.
Friendly staff, rooms we tidy, food good. Will definitely be back
D.
It's a budget hotel and that's what it is but it's not really budget priced. The shower was a dribble and the beds ok at best. There are much better options in Auckland for the money.
A.
Really nice hotel. Friendly staff. Lovely clean room. With its own parking, which is great being a city hotel.
N.
Nice place to stay if you wanna see the sky tower before it closes, or hit the town for the night. It's right in the centre of town.
D.
Nice hotel! Friendly! Had a small kitchen in the room.. Superclean, fast elevators! Nice area. Lots of sites to see! Fun at night!
J.
Great location for the centre of Auckland (1min walk to sky tower) but a bit tired looking and quite sparse in the rooms. Also, the area immediately outside got a bit rough after dark. Worth booking for a cheap night or two in the city but not as the mainstay of a holiday.
R.
Great location right in the center of Aukland, parking was tight but cost effective. The room was decent, the matteress had some saggy low spots but all in all we enjoyed our stay.
O.
Very friendly staff. Excellent breakfast buffet. The apartment are very old with old carpet causing bad smell. Very good location near to the sky tower.
S.
An acceptable hotel located Auckland, it has access to a lot of local shops, On site Parking can be difficult to find and offer limited spots(A nearby car park company may be needed), rooms are clean and safe, staff are friendly and helpful to assist you.
D.
We had a great time. Hotel central and staff were pleasant. Brendan helped solve an issue we had with transport hire and went out of his way. True gentleman.
N.
Was really looked after by the staff, especially Liam.Amazing customer service and a great location..Very well priced and a great breakfast!
D.
Stayed twice, great sized rooms, beds very comfortable, good views from the higher floors, wifi was annoying to login on but most apps ignored it and still worked, charge for parking ($25 per night) a little steep though
Z.
Rooms very neat, good and friendly staff. Only needs air conditioning. Was very hot.
j.
Great place to stay.very friendly and helpful staff.parking on site was very handy.
p.
Excellent staff and very obliging. Rooms were big and the bed was excellent. Location close to everything.
A.
Great place to stay. Beds were fantastic and breakfast was amazing. Overall good choice in Auckland as close to CBD.
D.
Its like an 80s hotel room with a modern TV. Slightly damp smelling, but they did nicely hang on to our luggage. This place needs some renovation.
H.
BW PRESIDENT HOTEL is nicely located in the Auckland CBD, near Sky City, the Tower, and more. The Rail Transit construction project currently impacts the entrance, but location is really good. The Hotel itself is quite OK, with restaurant and other eateries close at hand. It was good to find a BW property in Central Auckland.
M.
Awesome location, great staff and amenities. Breakfast was poor and parking is hopeless but i'll stay again.
N.
It's okay. Pretty standard hotel. Nothing special. Limited spaces for parking if you have a vehicle. Pre-booking a car space is a must.
C.
Great hotel - very close to everything in the city so if you don't have a car can just walk around. Friendly staff.
F.
Good value for money. Clean and tidy room. Very friendly staff. Wonderful location
J.
Great location and value. Minimal visual amenities, but all the important elements are there: internet, kettle, iron, cafe, parking.
j.
It was a very nice place ,close to the city center and the sky tower ,wich is nice to find .the rooms are big and very clean.and the crew is very nice people , and particulary Shalini and Ankil, very profesional and cute.thank you.
S.
Air conditioning was only in one of the two rooms, no living area just two bedrooms. Clean and tidy, good WiFi
O.
It was lovely staying there but only for 1 night. Good position, near the shops and the Casino.
J.
Nicely fashioned rooms and tasty breakfast!
H.
Location is amazing. Close to attractions and food joints. Rooms a bit dated, internet only for one device but mostly clean.
L.
Really good service and breakfast. Close to the city center. The rooms are clean and nice.
R.
Sold rooms without car parks ! Never again President ! Drive on through this city.
C.
Great for Tourists. Near a lot of Attractions around the city. Near great Restaurants. Breakfast Prices are a bit high for what you get
W.

J.

T.
Great location. Good place to stay. Great option for budget, has a gym too
T.
"位置好找","超市方便","購物方便" Staff is friendly and helpful but only a bit loudly.but all the room can not smoking . and the price is reasonable. Will go to stay again.
M.
Warm rooms, comfy beds, large room. Overall nice stay. Parking could be cheaper.
l.
great place if you want a clean room at a cheap price in the cbd, i like thats its close to queen street and sky tower, perfect for when i come up for a show at vector arena as its only minutes away on foot and you dont have to worry about parking at the show and the best thing buss stop only 2 minute walk down the hill
G.
A very convenient and centrally located hotel. A touch tired but what the heck the bed was OK.
