Good quality hostel, nice comfortable lounges. Easy check in, close to the airport bus terminal. Dorm was clean with ample space for luggage. Kitchen and bathrooms were very tidy. Staff were friendly and helpful.

Good staff, nice atmosphere, close to all the main transport hubs. Rooms were tidy, car parking was available onsite. Had a large kitchen area and plenty of lounge areas. Bedrooms were spacious and had large windows. Good stay here if you are coming up for a concert.

Very central,easy to find and has a handy car park. double rooms are clean and fairly cheap. Wifi was included and worked well in most locations in the hostel. Bathroom facilities and the kitchen area was kept clean by the staff. I will use again on my next trip to Auckland

This was really my first hostel. There's lots of rules here but it's not unreasonable. I appretiated the showers they were clean and I enjoy the hot water. The kitchen was nice and big and not too crowded even on a very busy night. I stayed here about a week and for 10$ they let me use the hostel as an address. I appretiated the staff they were very human and worked hard I think Careful about the computers though there is malware on them and they could use rebooting

Good run hostel located near Sky Tower and Queen street. Rooms were ok nothing flash but clean and tidy. Kitchen and bathroom facilities were good. Staff were helpful and gave good information. Airport bus is only 6 minute walk from hostel and intercity terminal only 5 minutes walk.

This is one of the best hostels I have stayed in while staying here in Auckland, the hostel has good lounges and free wifi. The bedrooms are warm and have good quality mattresses. You are given sheets and pillows when you check in and then you make your own bed. Free breakfast is buffet style in the kitchen in the morning, worth getting up for. Staff are very friendly and helpful. Security is good, all doors lock and cctv everywhere.

Good location of hostel in Auckland, not far to all attractions. Airport bus only a short distance away. Felt very safe here, friendly guests and staff. Bathrooms and kitchen facilities very clean, free wifi is included which is fast and unlimited. Lounges are of a good standard much better than Base or Nomads, I will be back to stay here longer when I finish my tour and start work in Auckland.

This hostel is okay for one night stay. It's pretty busy with a lot of people moving around. I was able to book this last minute. Sheets are provided. The towels cost extra. Upstairs there are 3 showers in the women's bathroom. The beds in the dorms have seen better days, but they are comfy.

The hostel is located in the central area of Auckland very close to the bus transit centres. The kitchen and bathrooms are clean and dorms are a good size. Can be quite hot in the rooms, but they do have large windows which can be opened. Free wifi is fast and works well in the bedrooms. Staff do a good job here.

pretty standard hostel. 12 person dorms, especially in the basement are getting unbelievable hot and only one small window and some fan giving you air to breath, but you cant really complain if get a bed that cheap in the middle of Auckland. maybe 5min on foot to the sky tower! wifi is reliable and really fast, kitchen gets cleaned everyday but gets messy anyway :D showers are hot and not limited, there is a comfy lounge room and tv room as well. just be careful if you stay longer than 3 nights the price rises.

Nice and clean, friendly staff, no crappy lifts like some other city hostels. Free breakfast was nice, wifi was super fast. Nice warm rooms. Carpark on site a good bonus. Weekly rates are very good, check out the hostels own website for the best prices.

A fun hostel located near Sky tower and Queen street. A good vibe exists here, staff very friendly and good quality dorm rooms. Kitchen and bathroom were kept tidy during my stay here, lounges were good and price included unlimited wifi.

Very nice hostel, in central Auckland. Staff were very welcoming and helpful, the facilities are very clean and tidy. Nice TV room and lounges. It is the only hostel in Auckland city with a car park, which is a definite plus. Wifi I found was pretty fast and I was able to connect in my bedroom.

This is a fun hostel, lots of people staying here, always somewhere to go each night with a group and during the day too. Good value for money, not too big unlike some of the other Auckland hostels which all seem to have broken down lifts.Kitchen and bathrooms were nice, wifi was fast, sit in the main lounge for faster speeds. Really close to intercity and manabus/skybus stations.

I arrived early and was welcomed by the manager, he allowed me to leave my luggage and I checked in at 11am. The double room I had was quite spacious and had flat screen tv and very clean bathroom. The common areas in the hostel were nice, especially the kitchen and the outside courtyard. Wifi was extra but was fast, overall a very good hostel

Great place to meet other travellers, nice lounges and kitchen. Has free internet and dorms have good comfy mattresses. Fairly clean ,but very busy. Cheapest dorms in Auckland apart from Surf and Snow which is Yucky.

Stayed here during a quick visit to Auckland, very nice facilities, huge kitchen with proper ovens, comfy dining area. Your own alcohol is allowed here during reception hours. Nice outside area with BBQ, and Free unlimited wifi which is good since it is a cheap place to stay.

This is oned of the best hostels in Auckland, I have stayed here twice now. It's great that they give for free hi speed internet, I was able to get all my travel plans completed quickly. They have free hair dryers and a real cool kitchen with proper ovens and loads of baking trays and all the cutlery and utensils. Friendly guests and staff a freal pleasure to stay here.

Clean central hostel, good kitchen, nice artwork on walls. Lots of friendly guests with a good vibe. Plenty of jobs on offer on the noticeboards. A good place to start your trip in New Zealand.

The hostel is very central to Auckland's CBD, free breakfast is included which is good. Beds are comfortable and rooms are clean. Kitchen is well set up and lots of longterm guests are staying here. Wifi is free throughout the day.

One of the best hostels I have stayed in, there is a real friendly atmostphere here.The lounge is an awesome place to meet new friends and have a drink or 2. The staff are really good fun and helpful. Bathrooms and kitchens are very clean, bedrooms are cleaned daily. Weekly rates are the best rate in the city and you get unlimited wifi included. Hostel is very safe, plenty of cctv cameras around and security lockers if you want them.

Awesome hostel with lots of facilities. Staff are Cool and friendly. Location is very central near intercity bus terminal Sky Tower etc. Bedroom was comfortable with TV and nice tables and chairs. Prices reasonable, best to book on Silverfern's own web site to save money. Lots of cheap cafe's and restaurants nearby, Auckland is a great city, lots to do.

All staff were very friendly and nice, its a great hostel to stay at. Lots to do and many guests go out on pub crawls together. Wifi is free and fast.

This place really tries to nickel and dime you. I paid $100 for a private room, which is insanely expensive for a hostel, and then they charged me an extra 4% as I wanted to pay with a credit card. They also charge you to store your luggage there after you check out (which I've never seen at any other hostel). I was there over the weekend and people were loud and partying until about 3 am; there are signs around the hostel saying quiet time starts at 11 pm and it isn't a party place, yet these rules are not enforced. Also, the Wi-Fi connection was awful - so bad, in fact, that I just walked to McDonald's and used the free WiFi there instead.

As a backpackers hostel, it isn't bad. For those who have food allergies the kitchen is a nightmare of poorly washed dishes, but that is somewhat to be expected. We also found the rooms poorly sealed, cold, and noisy. For someone who is young, needs somewhere cheap, and likes parties on weekends, it'd be great. It was quite conveniently located in the CBD of Auckland without being outrageously priced. Just bring earplugs!

Nice hostel in the centre of town, close to all the bus terminals, skybus, intercity, mana bus etc. Rooms were spacious with good window ventilation, I hgad nice room mattes and the other guests and staff were so friendly. Facilities were clean and really nice bathrooms and kitchen. Good value for money as includes fast unlimited wifi 24hours.

This is a great hostel if you want to stay in Auckland over night. It has good facilities clean bathrooms and a carpark. Beds are comfortable and the building is nice and warm. Well recommended 5 Stars

I stayed with my boyfriend and the room was very nice. Staff were helpful and kept hostel very clean. The free unlimited wifi is very handy to have and the on site carpark was handy for our car rental.

Fun hostel, amazing helpful staff. I chose the cheapest room the 12 bed dorm, which was clean and spacious. Hostel is in good location close to city centre and the main information centre at Sky Tower. Bathrooms, lounges ,kitchen were very clean.Good wifi and the hostel had its own carpark. Without doubt this is one of Auckland's best hostels.

This hostel lets you check in at 11am far earlier than the other Auckland hostels. This was great for us after a long plane journey from Europe. Very clean rooms and comfortable lounges. Wifi was great in our bedroom and was free and unlimited. Staff were good and the hostel car park was great for our campervan which we bought. Best place to buy vehicals is at the car market at Ellerslie racecourse on a Sunday.

Standard hostel with some extra free perks like free unlimited wifi and breakfast. Very clean, good quality beds and good bathroom facilities. Close to many good cafes and restaurants. Airport bus terminal only a short walk.

If you are looking for a party-hostel, this is the perfekt place... The room are okay, but it depends on your roommates. The beds are ok, but the mattress could be a little bit cleaner. When you check in you get a pillow, which is really flat and you get the cover of a blanket. If you want a real blanket you can get it for free at the reception, but I thought, that it is not necessary. Furthermore you have to pay 50$ extra as a key deposite. For me this is a little bit to much, but I think they just want to make sure erverybody to behave and you get it back at the end... You also have to pay for the Wifi, if you are not staying for a week (for example: 3 days unlimited Wifi= 20$). The kitchen is quite clean, so are the showers... There is a lot of drinking at the weekend and it can be noisy until late in the night (a good pack of ear plugs will fix it). Mostly kind people, but also some douchebags. It looks like there are many girls who like to hook up with douchebags :D There is also a room with some sofas and a TV. In addition, there is a room that is designed like a cinema. Conclusion: OK hostel, where you can stay for some nights, if you don´t care to much about space and noise...

I was recommended this hostel by the airport staff, this is a good hostel in central Auckland near Aotea Square and Sky Tower. Very clean inside, nice beds and mattresses. Staff are fun and bathrooms and kitchen are good quality. Good wifi signal.

A fabulous hostel with outstanding staff, good location close to city centre and the cafe culture of Ponsonby. Very clean rooms, great American diner style kitchen and cool courtyard. Carpark an addittional bonus, great for a hostel to have. Wifi was fast with a laptop. Will be back next time.

Aucklands Isite reccommended me this hostel as being one of the best, it was comfortable, located close to everything and was very cheap. Staff were helpful and the hostel was kept in good shape, especially the kitchens and bathrooms. Wifi was included for free and was surprising unlimited and fast. The 12 bed dorm I was in was full but not surprising since the hostel ios so popular.

It's a great hostel to stay at, I had an amazing time, location is in a perfect spot especially since we had a car and they have a large car park. Staff are always helpful and facilities are very clean.

The girl at reception was friendly and nice and the room felt secure. Otherwise the room smelt like curry, had poor ventilation and not sure about the fan. Were we meant to ask for an extension cord?

The hostel is in a good location close to the city centre, good atmostphere nice facilities, bathrooms are very clean. Staff are a good source of information. It's a very popular hostel a lot of long term guests choose to stay there, as it offers good weekly rates. This hostel is far better than the other city hostels, apart from the YHA (too many old people and no fun at YHA). I will be back in April

Hostel has a great location, close to Sky Tower and transit centres. Clean and tidy good sized kitchen, wifi for me was fast and reliable. Has a good sized carpark. Staff were a good help, with information.

Great place to meet fellow travellers. Very kind staff, clean facilities and very good pricing. Bunk beds are comfortable and plenty of room for ones luggage and enough power points for mobile phones etc. Location is in a good part of Auckland close to super markets, Ponsonby, KRoad , Sky tower & Casino and Auckland's CBD. Airport SkyBus is only a few minutes away.

Staff was super friendly, facilities were good. Room was terrible. There was stuff EVERYWHERE. On the floor, the walls. I had to watch my step cause I didn't want to trip or break something. Guess that's what happens when you shove 8 people into one room without any space for storage.

Loved my stay because of the people. Misleading because it says free wifi on ever booking site but apparently it's only free for people staying 7 or more days. Upon further investigation I saw this was in some small print on a website.(also on that website it said wifi costed 8$ a day but the actual price at the hostel was 8$ for 1000 megabits) But other websites said nothing of the sort and just said free wifi. Other than that the place was a fun popping place. Mathew at who works there is one of the nicest most genuine people I've ever met.

I had a very good time at this place. Before that, I stayed at Base Backpackers and Nomads in Auckland and was disappointed by the unfriendly atmosphere there. Also at these two places there was a lot of STEALING going on. Silverfern was the totally opposite, family atmosphere and very clean facilities. I would recommend Silverfern to every single friend of mine!

In my opinion the overall experience is the best of all the cheap and bigger hostels in Auckland. Base and Nomads for example doesn't come close.

Good location and a very affordable stay.The staff is very friendly and the owner Dominic has kept the environment friendly.I even like their idea of buying mugs as I want my mugs to be clean and not used by others.Its more hygienic.Will definately visit again!

When i stayed the whole place was so hot and uncomfortable and being in a 12 bed dorm didnt help! But it is right in the center good if you are young like late nights and noise

The staff is very friendly and the common areas r clean, the one that have the room smelly is the crack addict that lives there, at least is one of them that dont sleep or work or do laundry.

We had an excellent time here, the double room we booked was comfortable and fairly spacious, good value for money.

(Translated) On the last day of my trip I stayed at Backpackers. After all the last is here. LOL When I went to the 6 girls room, only the upper bet was available. I put my sheets on the sizzling bed. I am littered with luggage and clothes in my room. There were also children who had lived for many months and had a sense of life. Lol There were a lot of people traveling around the world and traveling by work, so it was interesting. Of course we have a common room, a TV room, a kitchen and a laundry room as well, but I think this experience is fun when you are young. (Original) 旅の最終日はバックパッカーズに泊まりました。やはり最後はここです。笑笑女子6人部屋に行くと、もう上のベットしか空いてなかったです。ギシギシきしむベットにあがりシーツをかけました。部屋の中は荷物や服で散らかってます。もう何ヶ月も住んでる子もいて、生活感もありました。笑世界中から旅やワーホリでくる人がたくさんいて、興味深かったです。談話室やテレビ室、キッチンや洗濯室ももちろん共同ですが、若いうちにこのような経験も楽しいと思います。
