R.Have always wanted to stay here and finally got brave enough to attempt our first camping trip with a 2yo and a 4 month old. Really appreciated Jen's flexibility re our timings with young kids, and thoughtfulness in finding us a site with shade, and we had an absolutely brilliant stay - we even added on an extra night. Amazing location, facilities that provide all you need, and friendly vibe. We will return, possibly within a matter of weeks!
R.Actually ended up here by mistake, and the best mistake ever. Primo little park with spectacular views. Camp managers are awesome too! You honestly wouldn’t even know you’re in Auckland as it’s so quiet and peaceful here. We only intended on staying one night but stayed for 3. Great location with cool walks and a cute little cafe next door. Would def return. Even allowed animals so our baby goat was very welcomed by all 😊

Lovely beach walks right out front. The facilities are dated but spotlessly clean. Can’t rate this camp highly enough. We look forward to returning soon.

A.Loved this holiday park! Beautiful waterfront site, they are small but all that you need. Very close to restaurants - beautiful beach. Staff are very hospitable. A great way to explore Auckland. Next time we come we'll plan to relax a bit more at the beautiful spot that is Takapuna beach. Well impressed!
C.Staying here was one of those bucket list moments and it didn't dissapoint. The staff are wonderful, the views spectacular and the bathrooms clean and spacious with all the shelves and hooks you could want. It might seem small but having places to put your stuff when you are camping is a luxury. I'd rather have somewhere for my shampoo that a fancy amenities block. I also liked the deck area outside the kitchen and the free WiFi. Totally worth the money for the waterfront spot, I'll be back 😊
P.Love this gem. Has fought off the developers who tried to rip off one of Auckland's best seafront vistas. Trying to bring it back to life. Facilities tired but clean. Best address on the Shore.
a.Cannot express highly the fabulous service and management of this camp ground. Jennifer and Richard were brilliant and fantastic workers in their team who are so very willing to make everything comfortable and relaxing. Very clean facilities and look forward to the revamp its about to undertake.
M.Just an awesome location with a friendly team. Sites are a little compact and the buildings are clean albeit a little dated. Refurbishment due 2021. Don't let any of that put you off. I feel so lucky to have found this site overlooking the water, 30 seconds walk from a cafe, 5 minutes walk from a vibrant town centre.
S.We stayed on a long weekend so probably a bit noisier than usual. The boat ramp is in the neighbouring car park and peaple like to get on the water early. But it was nice to be up to see the sun rise over Rangitoto.
Camp is clean and tidy although the site are a bit small for larger campers.

R.Small sloping muddy sites half the size of normal places. Couldn't fit a 6 berth camper. Sites at the front have an amazing view to Rangatoto, others not so much. Best location on the north shore, right on the beach and vey short walk to town. Sadly tired old camp in need of investment.
D.My stay here was absolutely amazing! The peacefulness & atmosphere coupled with being close to numerous eateries & shops, make this an ideal location for Tourists. The staff are extremely helpful & friendly. There are Caravan sites, Tent sites & Cabins for hire. Boat enthusiasts will enjoy the easy access to the Boat Ramp, with ample free parking available! I am hoping the Holiday Park is going to be supported more by The Auckland Council. Financial support is needed to refurbish the site. It is a fantastic premises with much potential. Thoroughly Recommend! One of my favourite hide outs, close to plenty of Eateries & Restaurants in Takapuna. Thank you! 💙
N.Even at full capacity for New Year this was a superb experience. Helpful, always available and friendly. Facilities and beach access were amazing. Would do this again in a heartbeat!
J.Ok holiday park, quite compact and dated but the shops are 5 mins walk and there are great views. Staff are friendly, nice and quiet and about $46 for two people powered site. The showers are ok, the kitchen is antiquated, best go to a restaurant

r.The place is certainly different than my last visit. I can not fault the location and friendly staff. Kitchen and toilet block are basic but was all I wanted. Shower is probably the best ever. Look forward to the changes and definitely looking forward to staying again.
M.It a fantastic place and the Staff who run the office are just the best so accommodating. We have been back now 3 times its important Auckland Council that you get it maintained and don't let the place deteriorate. It's a good money maker and is in a fabulous position. So hurry up and make your mind up as to what you are going to do.

J.Lovely place to stay, right on the North Shore, so much to see and do. You can go swimming in the Ocean, have great views of the bay and the extinct volcano. Also the Fossil forest is amazing! Great place to stay with family.

I.It was a surprise to find this Beach Holiday Park so close to the city centre. Good local cafe at entrance, very short walk to shops, malls, restaurants. Good local beach/sea walks next to site. Facilities good, clean and basic. A little bit being a sardine in a tin but otherwise very good.
a.Perfect location for a holiday park! Right on the Takapuna beach. My man and I came here after a horrid night at the campsite up the road. This felt like heaven compared. The staff were friendly and helpful. No extra charges for showers, wifi etc. Our tent spot was great, generous amount of space, soft grass easy for pitching the tent. Other stayers were friendly & relaxed. One critique I could give - the kitchen & bathrooms could use a refurbishment. We had such a great time here, wish we'd booked here to begin with instead of wasting money at the other place.

C.Awesome location, right on the beach overlooking Rangitoto Volcano. Walk to lots of great bars and restaurants and the promenade walk around waterfront was lovely. The park itself is really run down and in need of upgrading.
K.Kyle & Jordy u 2 made for a fabulous weekend with my partner and friends! your hospitality during our stay was 5 star! U were both very friendly whilst trying to do your best to look after a very rundown holiday park! As we know the camp has been recently sold! We look forward to the renovations!
D.A good site directly on the beach. The amenities could do with an update. A great place to stay at the start or end of your trip. Friendly, helpful staff. There are some good eateries just up the road.
T.Even though I did not spend too much time in this camp, which seemed quite busy, I am giving 4 stars for:
- a perfect location in Auckland. To Davenport it is just 11 minutes by car and from there you can take a ferry to the city center.
- it is just next to a beach and a footway
- all facilities were on place and clean and ready to use
- the shower was hot and unlimited
I have not noticed any children playground or any special feature, but as a cheap basis for exploring Auckland or staying close to the airport (returning from Northland) it is a good choice.
K.Lovely clean and tidy site. Welcoming hosts would stay again. Good sized sites for the van. right on the beach. Here hoping Takapuna council leaves the site alone as a site it and invaluable asset to the area

M.There's probably no holiday park closer to Auckland than this one. Facilities are ok. Kitchen is rather small and dated. The smoker's corner is in front of the men's toilets. Staff is helpful and friendly. The holiday park is usually quite busy due to it's closeness to Auckland, so it's better to book very early.
A.Friendly staff. Great area to stay in. Excellent beach and local shops. Camp a bit run down but to be expected with all the local politics and attempts by sailing fraturnity to close it down...uncertain future. Enjoyed our stay very much. Will be returning. Stay there and to supprt the fight to keep the camp as a resourse. 😀
Y.If you are on a budget and you want to relax and have a quick break from everything... we rented a onsite caravan (which is old but clean) the kids love the experience... love the view from sunset to sunrise (spectacular)

R.Awesome beach that you can enjoy with family and friends. You have a landscape garden for relaxing and children park with best play zone. A rather good crowded people instead of crowded beaches. A certainly must visit. Can visit by bus as well from queenstreet.
I.It's location is fantastic, almost on the beach, great coastal walk, 2 mins from Takapuna with all amenities, restaurants etc,. In dire need of an upgrade, I was told it has had a change of ownership so hopefully will get much needed improvements

It's the perfect first and last stop for overseas visitors that start and/or end their New Zealand journey.
It could undertake some renovation though. But still clean and close to the city. Bus stop is a short walk away. 4,50$ and you're in the CBD.
L.Team NZ on the water in front of Rangitoto 👏👏👏 the best place for waka ama, swimming, paddle boarding, kayaking & surfing if you are lucky 😁
N.This is a small site and I went out of season, but it is right in the beachfront at Takapuna. The sites are quite small but they look like they might have some bigger ones. Powered sites are available.
The showers and toilet are a little tired, but functional.
J.We stayed here for a few weeks while house hunting and it was great! The facilities are basic but fine, and the proximity to Takapuna Beach is awesome.

C.Takapuna Camping ground is a popular for Campers even in the Winter they have Units also that you can book that won't break the Budget excellent for a weekend away .All face the Sea
D.Fantastic asset this caravan and motorhome park in a city. Often full in peak holiday period so book, but a steady flow of customers from round the world are there all year, typically in motor homes.
Situated immediately adjacent to the harbour, Takapuna beach, and the boat launch ramp. Also very short walk to Takapuna cafes, restaurants, and full range of suburban retail outlets.
Slightly longer walk to Milford, either by road or around the coast other than high tide. Milford is full of grey haired retired people. Can also walls the coast to Devonport starting say 3 hours after high tide.
Take a bus to Devonport, and then the ferry across to Auckland CBD.
You can't beat this spot for motor home parking in the city.
n.Excellent location but neglected to mention public footpath in front of Waterview sites. Run down facilities, needs a upgrade.

But the heart and soul of this venue ..the Staffs helpfulness ans particularly the young Managers support .who is a font of information and so very proffessional.. makes this an excellent destination to send time and thoroughly enjoy..
It's rare to find a park that's literally on the beach with a whole variety of shopping facilities..ie clothes.. gifts..pharmacy..hairdressers..manicures..massage..and a whole host of street cafes and a huge variety of class restaurants that cater to everyone's budget..
Indeed.. this is a gem stop off vacation point that is not to be missed..
Remember to book as early as you can to avoid being disappointed..

Lage sehr schön, deshalb nicht ganz so tragisch, dass die Einrichtungen ...naja... könnte echt besser sein, aber kurz vor dem Rückflug so zentral in Auckland gelegen, was will man da mehr. Bein gutem Wetter dann sowieso kein Problem. Also alles ok, ist aber sehr eng mit nem großen Maui Camper... geht aber so eben.

Der Park selbst ist ordentlich ausgestattet, und ist ideal für die letzten Tage in Neuseeland, weil wer von Auckland fliegt nur einen kurzen Weg zu seinem Vermieter am Flughafen hat. Der Flughafen liegt ca. 30 km entfernt. Ausserdem hat man einen Strand vor der Tür und man kann auch schnell mal mit dem Bus in die City fahren. Im voraus Buchen ist von Vorteil.

Ein sehr schöner Platz, direkt am Meer gelegen. Es gibt einen Aufenthaltsraum, Fernsehraum, eine Küche mit Kühlschränken, Waschmaschine und Trockner. Da ich nur eine Nacht dort war kann ich zu dem Ort und der Umgebung leider nichts sagen. Der Platz ist aber zu empfehlen.
