F.Lived there for two month, the dorms are great and the staff is super friendly. Had a great experience altogether. I strongly recommend for backpackers just arriving in Auckland and looking to meet new people!
M.This place opened May 2019 and is large and well set-up. The rooms have wonderful and comfortable beds. The kitchen and common areas are huge and also very comfortable.
There were no lockers in my room. There was a light for the bunk as well as a USB plug but no individual electrical outlet for the bed. The staff seemed a bit removed and not engaged with guests, but that my be because the place is very new. There is sometimes loud music played in hallways that you can hear in rooms late at night. Automatic lights don't work well and need tweaking. Still, these are fairly minor. As of May 2019 TMACS is pretty spotless and your best Auckland choice.
S.This hostel is super clean and comfortable. There is a big kitchen and a lounge area with a pool table. The staff are very friendly. This isn't the best hostel for meeting people and making friends though. People tend to keep to themselves. And because the hostel is so new, there are not a lot of resources for travel and tours in the area. But if you are looking for a clean comfortable place where you can cook and hang out with friends, this is a great choice.
K.The deluxe rooms are good. You have your privacy as all beds have curtains, your own light and sockets to charge your phone. It was very cold in my room. Your not able to operate the AC on your own.
C.So this hostel is quite a walk from Queens Street, about 2k which depending on your needs could be difficult as there is only an asian supermarket closeby. The beds in the 8 bed dorm are very comfortable and they have a blind and your own charger and light which is seriously helpful, although the blinds do not cut out the very bright light from the hallways - a door was opened in the night and it woke me up - perhaps the hallway lights could be slightly dimmed at night?. The wifi was not working for me - spoke to reception and he said it was my phone which i understand this place is new they are figuring out their wifi problems but its not my phone - my phone has not had a problem with every other hostels wifi so im guessing its teething problems here. Nice vibe to the hostel though - Massive bathrooms although my shower did run hot and cool which was annoying. Its a very clean hostel which is nice, reception staff are welcoming.
J.Liked it. Very clean and good amenities. Atmosphere was lacking somewhat and there weren't many plugs in the room or lockers. But it's good value and I'd recommend it as a place to stay.
N.Nice hostel but you have to pay a lot for lockers(55$ for a week ) and the 20 dorm bedroom is not that nice, the beds are not stable and there is no space for luggage. There are better hostels like hakalodge but when there is no bed free tmacs is a good alternative.

s.The common area is great.
Although, the management made a mistake on my reservation, they wrongfully check me out of the room, I was downgraded to another room and they lost some of my stuff. They failed to compensate for that.
