My only comments were internet was slow and bathroom door has no lock
S.Hotel location, Lake view are good. Rooms are spacious, food is below average. Not much option to select a suitable food for us. Probably suitable for Newzealanders. Uber Eats is the only choice. Staffs are polite and responsive!!
Internet service was worst across all the rooms when i inquired with other guest. No proper solution even after complaining multiple times. Seeing other Google review comments on same issue, seems Hotel management is not bothering much about this. As this being the quarantine hotel they should fix this problem so guest don't get any trouble in isolation.
R.Nice hotel for an isolation stay in early December - the food options were great, which definitely helped to stave off boredom, as the internet speeds were prehistoric which lead to me paying a lot for a mobile plan whilst isolating. The staff were all very patient and professional, overall a nice place

S.Great place and very friendly staff no doubt. Very tasty food and many varieties BUT the hotel needs to be very careful of dietary requirements and lists the ingredients of what is being served such as liquors in some items!

Room size was good, be able to walk a bit with lake view. Food was okay (too much coriander… I hate them)

S.I was lucky enough to get placed at Waipuna for my MIQ stay. It has been such a pleasant experience staying here. The hotel room was large and spacious. The bathroom had a huge walk in shower and separate tub. The food was impeccable. The service was outstanding. The outdoor area for exercise times is great, not only do you have a lovely view of the Panmure basin you have a good bit of space to walk around.
I was here over Halloween, and the hotel decorated all of the downstairs area, they decorated our dessert on the day to look like ghosts, they drew on the box and bag the food comes up with Halloween themed drawings, and even took the kids out to the front of the hotel to sing songs. They didn’t have to do any of this, but they went above and beyond to make us feel happy.
When people have asked me ‘how bad has your MIQ experience been?’ And I respond with saying it has been amazing! People are so shocked that people can actually have a good experience in MIQ.
Hats off to everyone involved at Waipuna. Thank you so much. Keep it up.
L.2nd MIQ stay at the Waipuna and again - is Grade A!. All staff, hotel, security, navy, army, ancillary etc - super friendly and super helpful, while being assertive and clear on quarantine rules and regulations.
You just can't complain without being a totally self-righteous narcissist. One complaint though - too much yummy fattening food, but mix it up with ordering salads only, opt fruit over cakes and deliver Countdown healthy options. This time only half hour exercise breaks, but again - still can get outide to breathe the air. We focus on medical staff but the MIQ hotel teams are (and have been) on the front-line and are equally our modern day heroes. Borders are re-opening, one of the last lots through, and I can't wait to leave - but thank you!!!
e.I have been so fortunate in my MIQ stay at Waipuna Lodge. I expected the worst and have had the best stay possible in the circumstances
My room was really nice, comfortable and had all the normal hotel amenities
The restaurant staff were amazing providing delicious meals and great coffees
The security and reception staff did a fantastic job they are so hard working but still found time to assist me
The happy smiling faces and conversations have made what could have been a daunting experience a really pleasant one

M.I just want to say how impressed I am with house cleaning staff especially Wiremu and Salote. I've been a cleaner in the past and Wiremu does an amazing job and Salote is humble, polite and helpful and all the staff here are so approachable, helpful and they don't make you feel like a nuisance or a burden if you request anything you need. I
would give this Hotel 10 out of 10 for service, hospitality and making you feel at home. I am so impressed with the people here I'd like to take them back to Christchurch with me. Keep up the amazing service.

D.Spent 2 weeks here in isolation. Staff were excellent. Food was very good and was delivered to the room 3 times a day. They also delivered morning tea. Only gripe was that the wi-fi was slow, but I had a good data plan so I had no problem

C.My 14 day quarantine stay at Waipuna was faultless during my Covid quarantine time here. All staff were friendly, professional and helpful - without exception. The rooms were spacious, clean. The food was generous and excellent. The exercise area beside the tidal Panmure Basin, grassed and gardened, was a true bonus.

l.Great venue, good customer service. Wrong room given but easily rectified with no issues. The facilities are clean and well taken care of. A bit of a faint smell in the room, but not an issue. Carpet clean, a/c was working well. Pool, spa, gym available. TV with cable was perfect for a relaxing evening. Guests were fine. Staff were friendly and helpful.
J.My son quarentined here with his son and reported that the staff at the hotel was very helpful and accommodating. The meals were tasty and for a meat eater he found the vegetarian meals very delicious and filling. Thank you to all the staff and especially the chef and kitchen staff for taking care of my whanau.
L.At present a managed isolation hotel for travellers entering New Zealand. The sheer logistics of the Army, Navy, Security, Health Care Professionals and Staff to keep everyone safe, obedient, and happy - can only be imagined. Everyone is super-friendly, super-nice and going beyond their call of duty to keep us happy. The food and services - under such adverse conditions - is brilliant. These people deserve a medal and NZ should congratulate this hotel for being an exempler model of managed isolation; and the first introduction of the generous spirit of NZ'rs that the world has come to know and admire.
T.Found thu google. 4 days ago I was I rm 331 and found it was spacious, very tidy and clean. The beds were very comfy, I slept very soundly. The Rm had all the amenities anyone could want, microwave, kettle,fridge etc.. the shower was good. The staff were very friendly and helpful.. Dinner was great, a good view while eating a wonderful breakfast.. The bar was also great with the same view. A large projection screen to watch too. Great stay and will be back again for sure. 😃😍
M.I went to a conference here last week and I was blown away by how incredible professional and amazing all the waiting staff were. Probably the best wait staff I've ever seen. I am also gluten free and mostly vegan. Their vegan food was perfectly balanced and delicious rather than 'dishes missing meat'. This is a rarity for me. And the dishes were so good I wanted the recipes. The venue is lovely too. Our speaker was bragging at how good her room was at the lodge too. Waipuna hotel definitely sets high standards!
K.I stayed here during a company business conference and was really impressed by their service, facilities and general hospitality. The company i work for booked approx 40 rooms, Wellingtons for group dinner on day 1 and a large conference room for all 3 days plus our awards night on day 2.
The staff were polite, helpful and friendly. Buffet breakfast, morning tea, lunch, afternoon tea and dinner were provided throughout the entire conference - the food was delicious and interesting.
Our rooms were modern, clean, well maintained and included lots of amenities.
I've since booked this hotel for an upcoming personal trip to Auckland after being so impressed.
A.Over all everything is good . Staff very friendly and quick service.
But disappointed on main dishes and dessert. Main dishes option was very poor menu. Sweet chili chicken was too too too much sweet. Look like chef's haven't test that. Rice was so hard and chewing. Dessert it was very poor choice. Black forest cake they use full bottle of cherry syrup on that, which mean it was full of strong artificial cherry flavours. All other cake was poor balace of baking.. on my suggestion please do lees items on dessert but make it perfect nice one which people can't forget..
We was 10 people's group. Few of us have been before that time was good buy this time we go with our guest they not enjoyed. Which was disappointed for us.

C.I was very impressed by my stay here. Facilities were excellent. Clean. The Ambassodor suite was the getaway I needed and I felt spoilt. Staff were very helpful and friendly. The place was quiet even though one of the nights it's was conference guest full! The pool was clean and fresh. Maybe some more lounge chairs? The price was really reasonable. I'll be returning for sure.
J.At the moment this site is a quarantine facility, so not accepting public guests. I am quarantining here at the moment but can still give a heads up on this place. The rooms have partly been refurbished, so expect to see quite a few outdated things if you're staying here in the future. When i arrived into my room, there were 2 broken chairs, no tv reception, tv remote didn't work, and one of my legs on the bed fell off. Cant knock this place too much as they are a quarantine facility and doing a great job for Kiwis returning home - maybe there's hope for the future for this place outside of Corona.
D.Lovely rooms, super comfy beds, great wedding venue with outdoor and indoor options, views across the water beautiful during day or night. Nice walk straight outside the door. Staff super helpful and always doing a bit extra to make your stay enjoyable. Bathroom amazing. Rooms presented well, well equipped, warm. Individual aircon.
Y.We have been staying at the Waipuna every Sunday for the last 3 months. The hotel, staff and restaurant are fabulous. It has therefor become our little weekly getaway as a treat. Also a big shout out to Raj who works the evening buffet. You give us exceptional service everytime but last Sunday you went above and beyond with that eye fillet. Thank you!
r.Excellent stay! The top storey room (with two floors) that we booked was fantastic with beautiful views of the lagoon. We went for a run around the lagoon which was really nice. We stayed there for a conference and the facilities are excellent and the staff are very helpful and nice. We'll definitely come back again!
N.Waipuna Hotel wasn’t too expensive (compared to other hotels) but it’s slightly away from the city which could be the reason. We didn’t really mind that as we had a car with us. The staff at Waipuna Hotel are very friendly and helpful. The room is very large! The room had coffee, tea and milo making facilities and the usual toiletries
We had booked the room with buffet breakfast and glad we did that. Breakfast had both cold and hot options. I also noticed that they had options for vegans and vegetarians. They had juice, yogurt, barista coffee, tea and a wide selection of food such as toast, eggs (scramble and poached), baked beans, bacon, roast potatoes, salmon quiche etc. A real hearty breakfast. R.Excellent place in a serene location. Can just relax in front of the backwater lake. The gallery rooms are nicely designed. Also the ambassador suite is the best room you can get in this place. And it's really worth it.
D.Love going to conferences here. Spacious, clean, tidy, great staff, delicious food both at Wellington's and Room Service. Delicious fresh wide range. Rooms on Level 5 are my favourite - I could happily live here! Great place for time away from the world, watching the estuary flow and ebb.
C.I was married at the Waipuna Hotel, they did a great job and the day was superb. As it was our wedding anniversary we booked a table for lunch to celebrate. They gave us a great table with a super view and it felt intimate. Our meals were great and they had a good wine list, our table was ready for us and the staff made our anniversary day special.

6 of us had a High Tea at Waipuna and had a great table by the window while the tide came in. The food was delicious and plentiful. Paige our waitress was really attentive and friendly. i would say the best High Tea that i have had.

N.The room and staff have been 5 star. It’s just one vegan option other than salad. Really this is 2019? Pick your game up. Stayed two nights and ended up with the same dish. Which was cooked ok but if I wasn’t with colleagues I would have walked and gone elsewhere.
A.Have visited the bar a couple of times recently and enjoyed the low key vibe. Bit of an old dame but yeah cool for a cheeky catch up without the crowds you get at local hotspots. And the deck is amazing if the weathers good and water high. Park out front. Good staff
C.Our room was very nice and clean. We left our pillows behind and no one took the time to give me a ring to say that we had. So rang the hotel and the front courtier put me on to housekeeping, but I got an answer machine and yes I left a massage. Was not happy because no one took the time to let me know.
T.Great event center, there was several events going on at the same time but you didn't know each other were there, which is great. Staff were great nothing was to much trouble and they had special dietary requirements all wrapped in individual parcels, some of the gluten free food was a bit stodgy or dry though.
A.What an awesome place. The service was top notch. The food was amazing. The staff were welcoming. Great dinner a lot of choices, the pork and lamb were cooked to perfection. Other buffet menu were also delicious. Wonderful views outside. Will surely visit again in future. I would highly recommend this restaurant well worth the money.
B.Beautiful Hotel. Lovely clean & spacious rooms. Guest Ladies Powder/Toilet Room absolutely poshed-out. Prompt Bar staff service. Reception Staff the bestest and so very obliging - FANTASTIC ALL ROUND. Watch the Tide seep in to the Pannure Basin as you sip away your cocktail and wait for your dinner to be served. J.New Year Lunch was wonderful. I had brought my daughter and young family.. baby 3 weeks and 5 years old. It was a last minute booking because other place didn't inform me that there restuarant wasn't open for lunches.. they expected us to have lunch in a bar with a table...
Waipuna restaurant staff were so acccomdating.. even turn the air conditioning down a little because of baby.

R.I have been attending work conferences at Waipuna for 5+ years, and they have always been fantastic.
The staff here are always very friendly and courteous, the food served is fantastic, and the rooms are always immaculate.
My only sad point about Waipuna is the water pressure in the showers. I am a high pressure person, so their showers leave me disappointed, but this still doesn’t detract from the overall experience
M.I received a lovely upgrade that I really couldn't do justice to. The staff are very friendly and helpful. The inhouse restaurant does fantastic meals for breakfast, lunch, and dinner. Just a walk to a major transport junction and shopping centre (Silvia park). I was here for a big corporate bonding session and his place has all the rooms for that sort of thing, too.

Im unsure however weather i would come here i was suffering from any variation of hepatitis the vibe of the place also felt specially threatening to hepatitis A. Im unsure weather they would allow you to bring in an animal however big it may be. I would like to emphasize that i strongly feel hep A is not welcomed here.

N.This is my local for a fancy drink and nibbles. The rooms are great too. We've stayed at the penthouse suite and it was beautiful. There is a separate bar with own menu as well as restaurant with buffet options. Great for company bookings as well
a.One of the oldest places in Auckland where the food is still good. Very good buffet and friendly efficient staff. Highly recommend. Excellent place to hold a staff party, or try their Al a carte restaurant.
K.Went to a Cathy Moore workshop here. The venue was great, nice space. Catering was pretty lacking - the dairy free option was just cut up raw veg. Considering everyone else had fresh scones and muffins it seemed a poor effort.

R.Large conference centre with many small rooms for all sizes of conferences. Great view on one side of the centre. Could do with more proper marked toilets. It is always quite busy at the centre so advanced booking is advised. There is ample parking but its again advised that you comw eqrly to secure a place on site.
C.Love Waipuna we just had our Christmas function here, staff were very polite and attentive to our needs their excellent service really is faultless.
And the food was delicious we were all very satisfied nothing but great compliments. Highly recommend without a doubt you won't be disappointed.
F.I attended a work conference here...place is nice enough but a little tired. Thought it was quite distracting having the catering staff coming in and out of the room during a presentation so they could set up the food...should either set it up beforehand or outside the room.
P.Lovely situated near a small reservoir. Rooms clean and modern, comfy beds. Breakfast a bit on the expensive side for what it is, but that's like most hotels. Lots of parking. Definitely recommended if you're looking for a hotel near Auckland, especially if you have a car. Popular with cabin crews too.

D.This place has been around as long as I have...a while! But Waipuna has kept itself in shape. An ideal place for a meeting, to stay, to dine. The lagoon makes it special.

D.Recently i went to Waipuna for a conference the serviced rooms were very clean&comfortable&the food was presented well fir all 3meals very tasty. The walk around the lake was refreshing peacful&relaxing. All round a wonderful experience indeed!!
V.Delightful High Tea today enjoyed by 11 Ladies. Our Host David catered for us superbly...he even picked flowers from his garden to put on our table... perfect.and an excellent selection of delectable delights a lovely day at a popular venue!
S.Came here for dinner at the Wellington's restaurant, just superb. Staff super friendly, view amazing and the food equally so. The only spoiler this time was a roudy group, which in the end became unbearable, luckily they hadn't been there the whole time. Still would happily go back there.
P.This place is well priced and busy. Make sure you get a renovated room though, the others are rubbish. They could also do with some decent landscaping it's so dated and under maintained.

R.Stayed for a 2 day work conference in very comfortable accommodation. Staff were attentive and helpfull.inhouse restaurant and bar had a lovely outlook over the estuary ,well worth the 4k walking loop around it .
B.Friendly staff. Nice comfortable rooms. Restaurant was a bit slow and food average (but was part of a large group). Gary (the piano player) provided great entertainment for the evening :). Recommended visit.
A.Great views of the Panmure Basin from the restaurant. Food was decent but the lunch tume selection left a lot to be desired. Apparently if you're the only group expected, you can request beef instead of ham... but only one choice of meat at a time. Nuggets and battered fish are an option (at least on the day I went), but in all honesty I think you would get better value for money from Fortuna instead.

P.Beautiful view and the staff are very friendly. The food was fresh and hot and finished plates were cleared quickly. Bathrooms clean and lots of parking. Awesome wedding venue.
D.The facilities, Reception staff, Restaurant staff and their service is great but the room service staff failed in their duties by not getting rooms done up well. They failed to re-fill tea,coffee, milk. On Friday they failed to chane dirty towels and replace shampoo and conditioner. While i enjoyrd my 5 days stay in all areas it got me upset to see the room service staff failing in responsibilities.

A.This hotel has many function facilities, lovely rooms and great staff. Right next to it is an inlet that looks like a lake. It is great for slow lazy walks and brisk runs around it. Had a good stay.

I have never stayed at the hotel but always hear positive feedback from trainees.
T.Overall is a nice and cozy hotel. Close to Sylvia shopping mall, the biggest in Auckland, as I was told. Nice view from hotel room towards the lake. Only issue is that the noise isolation is not as good as it should. Some idiots were playing fire crackers in the middle of the night near the lake and banging on the door at the walkway at 2am.
T.Excellent hotel. Staff always make you feel like a VIP. Great restaurant buffet. Very good accessibility features for wheelchair users/disability.
S.Just in Auckland for the night and all I can say is AMAZING!!! I have stayed in a few hotels in Auckland and the rest of the country and I have never been more impressed by the quality of the rooms/food and the service. The Waipuna Hotel has the most hospitable and lovely staff I take my hat off to them all.

B.Waipuna Lodge is a popular venue for work conferences.It overlooks the attractive Panmure Basin . The food is excellent we had a buffet lunch with delicious seafood meats salads and desserts. There is a bar along with the restaurant and you can sit outside in the sun and look at the water. Friendly staff will direct you to your conference room.

H.Was only there for one night. Shared a weird room with a colleague in a kind of suite for poor people - one very snall bedroom and one corner separated by sliding door granted some privacy, but would be an issue for claustrophobic guests. B.Had a lovely smorgasbord meal at my friend's 50th. Great service and atmosphere. The food was plentiful and very tasty.
P.Have used this as a conference centre through Compass Seminars. The food supplied is awesome, and accounts for vegans, GF free etc. A cafe is located is in the centre. Plenty of parking and pretty easy to find from the highway.
