Great location, top hotel. It was good to see how much people loved the pool area. We enjoyed the classy room, great service, bar and restaurant. Both of our meals were stunning. Chateau Marlborough have excellent staff - we were impressed with our stay and will definitely return.

We stayed for one night, the customer service was fantastic, great restaurant, and dining area. The room was big, modern, and very spotless, a very comfortable bed too!. When I'm back in Blenheim I'll definitely be using this place again.

On arrival we were surprised at the rude and disappointing customer service. No smile, no welcoming attitude, looked glum, gave us a key card and key to penthouse, gave a rushed instruction how to use key in lift then got distracted and dashed off from the lift, no intro to the hotel, parking, pool, restaurant etc. In contrast the male at the desk that checked us out was so very lovely and friendly. Grime was visible as it was smeared with hair on the bathroom door. The hotel is tired and dated, we were upgraded to the penthouse but it is so dated and did not have anything outstanding about it, just a two bedroom unit with a balcony. Our stay was not a complete disaster but it was not a good experience at all.

My husband and I stayed for two nights. The rooms and restaurant meals were excellent, and the staff were lovely to deal with. Thank you. We’ll definitely stay again!

Great pillows and clean. Pity there were no instructions on how to use the safe. And there was no sink to wash out our coffee cups only a hand basin in the bathroom 1bar of soap was a bit odd for two people. Nice bed. The receptionist was ok but accent made her hard to understand. Hotel was the only place we stayed in that actually asked us to show our vacinne passes and actually scanned them. If we had of been able to use the safe we would have let the cleaners in to service the room.

This was a lovely suite, high end furnishings. Quite a lot of thought has gone into the overall interior. The best motel/ hotel bed I've ever slept in. The only down side is some of the service. More information for the most simplest things would be great. And if you book for two single beds ( there was this choice) because you're two friends you don't want the room to have a Super king and one single! The single had a side table but no lamp. But we would stay again as the room & outside area is lovely and the pool area very inviting.❤️

We held a family function at the Chateau Marlborough and we had a great time. In all we had six rooms and everyone was very happy with their room. There did seem to be some inconsistency with the pricing of toons but think it was sorted. The Quench restaurant and bar were outstanding. Superb cocktails, very high class meals and outstanding service from Max and his team. Breakfast was equally first class. We had a suite which meant we could gather in it as a family and spend time together. Thank you to all the staff from the receptionist to the housekeeping staff who made my brothers birthday a real treat.

Loved the room, very clean and presented well, only let down was after showering mirror was fogged up. Would love to see places like that put a heating pad behind the mirrors for when there is no way for ventilation, apart from that enjoyed our stay

Suite had a balcony and was well appointed. Restaurant prices a bit pretentious for what was on offer.

Thoroughly enjoyed our stay. Rooms great and well appointed. Relaxing bar area. Just having a room fronting the road was annoying the traffic noise is unacceptable, if staying here do not request a road frontage room. Pool facing rooms are the go. Bed comfortable and the pillows could easily be taken home. Clean, tidy and very spacious. More positive than negative, bar staff excellent. Check in chap was good too. Thank you.

Lovely place to stay .this was our second visit as the Chateau is located very central to all amenities. Very comfortable bed and shower was clean with great water pressure. Kitchenette had all I required, but I thought the room looked tired. Last visit we had a balcony overlooking the pool, and a better room configuration. I will still use the property again regardless

We stayed on our first night in Blenheim, The Bubbles couples deal is great value! A nights stay, x2 course meal and breakfast for $280.00 per couple! The staff were great, our room was clean and bed so comfortable, we felt so relaxed and that we were really on holiday! Thank you 😃

Stayed a night when driving south. Great value for a room at $143. Nice room. Heat pump + bathroom heater appreciated during a winter cold snap! Will stay again.

This is the best place we stayed in on our 2 weeks trip. The rooms are amazing and the staff are very friendly. We stayed for 2 nights and ate at there restaurant both nights the meals were stunning first class.

Second time staying at the Chateau and just like the first time we really enjoyed our stay. Got upgraded which was a nice surprise upon arrival. The facilities are great and the staff are very friendly and helpful. The only thing that I think the room needs is slightly bigger rubbish bins as they are so small that they are full when you put just a small amount of rubbish in.

Clean and tidy, but shower was cold in the morning (no hot water) which was disappointing. Food in the restaurant was very average.

I had a last minute overnight in Blenheim. One easy phone call and I was booked in at an excellent rate. I was delighted with my room. Spacious with great shower (Elemis products) fast WiFi and comfortable large bed. I took note of the brand of pillows as so comfortable too (The Comfort Group). A dip in the tepid pool rounded out a throughly enjoyable stay.

A lovely hotel in central Blenheim. We appreciated the late 11am check-out. We booked at 6pm on the night of which was easy and convenient. The room was large and tidy, renovated except for the mini kitchen which was a bit odd. The room was nice and cozy.

We loved the hotel and the rooms which were clean, modern, spacious and well appointed. Beds were comfortable and pillows luxurious. Very good price for this level of comfort and style. However the receptionist on arrival was very disappointing. Unfriendly, unwelcoming, unprofessional. Not a good start at all. We went the the Quench restaurant and although we received excellent service there the food was below average. Price was a ripoff sadly for a very boring meal with luke warm overcooked lamb and roast vegetables which were variously over or undercooked and where the coating was a mis- match with the overal dish. Blenheim - you need to do better than this! Luckily the very attentive and friendly staff (apart from Saturday afternoon’s receptionist) saved the day in the restaurant! But we expect better food than this for $30+ a main.

Really nice stay here. Decent view and ease of access of rooms from the parking. It has heat pump but I love the fact that electric blankets were provided. Location is handy as lots of takeaways, restaurants and countdown near by. Very clean and good service made the stay enjoyable. I loved the music in the hallway as well.

Only here a few hours and already don't want to leave! Lovely pool area...bar..restaurant onsite. Room lovely. Bed huge. We were going to explore the town tonight but will be staying put!

Excellent hotel, staff were great facilities clean and the restaurant was excellent. Very accommodating with our reservation issue that was our fault. After wandering around Blenheim looking for somewhere nice for a wine and food decided to go back and try the hotel restaurant and so happy we did. Would be my first option next time I'm back in Blenheim.

Stayed for 3 nights and had dinner here once - will absolutely stay here again! The receptionist (Fay?) was wonderfully helpful and friendly as we had not made a booking, but she was able to find us a room at a great rate without any trouble. The rooms are a little worse for wear with some marks on the wall, but the shower and bed were wonderful. There are also 4 (yes 4!) different types of pillow available on request. Plenty of parking is available and there are multiple entry points to the hotel so coming and going is easy. The main street is about a 5 minute walk away and there is a lovely park over the road. As for the restaurant - as with most hotels, the prices are on the higher end. However, for what we received with our mains, it was absolutely worth it! There was real care and love that went into those dishes. The baked brie was just the right amount of warm and gooey and served with a good selection of crackers and breads - a dish best shared though! The beef fillet was cooked perfectly and melted in my mouth and both mains were packed with flavours and textures making every bite a delight! Our waitress Amelia was attentive, informative and funny and deserves a shoutout for helping to make the evening a delight. Unfortunately the desserts did not live up to the standards set by the mains. They were still good, but the bar had been set very high! The strawberry cheesecake itself was good, as was the pavlova, but I would have preferred them to be served with freshly whipped cream rather than what I suspect cane from a can. I was also disappointed by the "tropical fruit" served with the pavlova, which turned out to be watermelon and rockmelon - some mango or fresh pineapple would go a long way. Or add some icecream and turn it into a tropical Eaton Mess. I would definitely recommend staying and dining here as the experience and food were both wonderful, just be aware that if you choose to dine here, the desserts may not be quite as good as the main dishes.

Have stayed here before and 2nd time last week. Nice room and facilities, no problem there. The rest of the experience was not so inspiring. Faye took the call to book the room and seems to want to be combative at every point and belittle people. Three out of three occasions in the bar would have been overcharges if I was not paying attention. Maybe new staff and just simple errors I expect but it seems to be sytstemic. Most of the staff were very good to deal with. Restaurant meal was quite adequate but not sopisticated enough to match the price.....as for the review 19 Dec from Mathew , Nice gloss over and deflection that frankly is the attitude I was probably expecting. Good luck with that. No repeat business from me guys.

Lovely staff, extremely comfortable bed, nice food in restaurant, pool area lovely on a hot day. Bathroom had no extraction fan which makes it damp and foggy for ages after shower.

This was the best hotel I have ever stayed in!! Most comfortable bed I have ever slept on. Nice big comfy pillows...and not just one either! We had 3 each! Super close to town. Very friendly and helpful staff. Food is amazing! Heated pool. Most sky tv channels. We ended up staying 5 nights because we loved being spoilt. Highly recommend to all travelers. We will definitely be back!!!

Fantastic accommodation for its price. The room was clean, modern and spacious. The bed was comfortable and large. The staff where friendly and efficient. We spent 3 nights, as our base for exploring the wineries. Highly recommended and will stay again.

Overall, great place to stay. Very clean, great ambiance in room and front desk service was a 10. However, deducting a star because the WiFi was basically non-existent. Gym was small, but very nice, appreciated that!

The rooms are great. Very modern and clean. There is a laundry for guests to use from 12 till 8pm free of charge but very busy with only 3 machines. Our first breakfast was strange as had no idea what was on offer. Not a buffet as few guests. We had a meal in house first night which was good but we discovered by accident that we could not eat in house the following night because of a large tour group. It would have been good to have been told that when we checked in.

Cordial staff. We stayed in a spacious, comfortable, well-equipped room with kitchenette. The markings on the knobs on the cooktop had been scoured blank so it was a minor challenge to find the settings. Our room was on the ground floor close to reception. There is also a bar near reception which was a bit noisy in the evening as the room door was not that well sound insulated. Good AC and TV. Good free parking. Good value.

I stayed here one lovely evening with my Mother as a treat for us both. Lovely Friendly Staff only to happy to help you nothing is too much trouble. I highly recommend this Motel to anyone who wants to treat themselves to a night of in my opinion 'luxury' oh and the beds are very comfortable as well.

A nice stay for 2 nights in Dec 2019/Jan 2020. On arrival we did not receive the warmest of greetings. There was a 10 minute wait at an unattended reception counter. A service staff saw us and went to inform someone we were waiting. The older woman who turned up was less than welcoming initially. The pool seems more like a gesture (pocket handkerchief size). Huge carpark. The room was great. Bed incredibly comfortable. Barely enough handsoap in the dispenser. Service attendants were accommodating in eventually replacing the soap which was replaced on initial request but then taken away when we were out. Which left us with no hand soap until I requested a second time. Overall a nice stay.

Good wholesome food for those times when you don't feel up to cooking. We often let them cook our Sunday roast, then we take it home to enjoy. The food is well cooked, with several choices of meats, which you can select, or mix. They supply gravy, vegetables and sauces. Helpful staff. Very convenient service.

Stayed here nearly 20 years ago and it was so good then we chose to come back on this trip. Still wonderful. A huge upgrade and rebuild, it's comfortable, modern and quiet. Very relaxing.

Our second stay here. We were fortunate to have an upgrade to a Suite...wow!!! The room was amazing, I would most definitely stay there again. Walk in wardrobe, spa bath, washing machine, dishwasher..... Rooms was exceptionally clean All the staff...reception, restaurant and service staff were very friendly. Location is great...quick walk to township...cafes, restaurant and bars. If you like shopping....again a short walk to shops. Great facilities...lots of outdoor seating and a swimming pool.

Clean and tidy friendly staff . Got in after10pm room sevice poor. meal came frozen (instructions in menu) cook for 3min in microwave if not hot enough cook for another 2 min. $24 for a frozen dinner you have to cook your self (same price as if you sat down in there restaurant and they cooked and served it to you).

Great rooms, food and staff

Spacious room, clean and comfortable. Pillows were a bit too big for my liking and the shower box a bit small, meant water easily splashed out onto bathroom floor. Overall though good services and value, and I’d stay there again.

The staff were very accommodating and helpful. We were staying for one night on our move to the north island and they helped keep our moving trailer secure and off the road. The staff were very kind and professional.

Very good location with great showers, good drinks, and decent food. The large pillows are a bit much, but they have regular sized ones in the closet. The outdoor area is especially nice in the summer months.

Booked room facing pool, got a room by busy road. Woke up 5am as curtains let in heaps of light. Expensive restaurant, ended up going elsewhere for breakfast. Unfortunately we were rather unimpressed by our visit.

The hotel is just off the main square and only a couple of blocks from shopping and restaurants on Main Street. There’s a small pool (sort of in the parking lot!) and a restaurant where breakfast is served. I had a king room with balcony that was spacious and clean. Bathroom had a full range of toiletries, and the fridge was stocked with a range of mini- bar items. Robes and slippers in the closet, and kettle with tea service. There is a fitness center that I didn’t have time to visit. Wi-Fi was a bit weak in the room, but stronger in the lobby. Staff was super friendly and helpful, and they booked me on a self guided biking wine tour that was incredibly fun.

Nice boutique hotel. Very luxurious and comfortable. A hospitality I have come to expect in New Zealand. Friendly accommodating staff. More than I expected with nothing negative to discuss. Great choice for a stay in Blenheim or neighboring areas.

Great place to stay I regularly stay here

Very welcoming and friendly staff who all walk around with a smile. We were very impressed with the lovely staff member at check-out who put our interests at heart and paid attention to detail. Very customer focused. Lovely rooms that are well laid out and very clean and comfortable.

We loved our stay here. We were only here for 1 night and got a really good last minute deal. Luxurious beds, modern decor and a nice pool area. Staff were also really helpful when we accidentally left a phone there - they offered to mail it out to our home address.

The best hotel I stayed in so far in New Zealand. Had an executive suite. Very spacious room. Super king size bed, very comfy. The room also featured a large desk, which made getting my work done easy and kind of pleasure. But what I really want to point out is the stunning bathroom with a walk-able shower and big glass front, which can be covered with electrical blinds. Yes, they charge accordingly, but if you want to experience something special, stay here.

Staff were all very friendly and attentive. Arrived late but the reception staff especially were really welcoming. Room was spacious clean and well equipped. Breakfast was good with pleanty of options. Hotel is well located in the centre of town and was very easy to find.

Best hotel we stayed in over our entire travel across both islands! Room was massive and spotless! Lots of parking; breakfast served was delicious!!

Used this hotel as a launching pad if you will for driving the north part of the island. Only stayed one night and did a studio room. It was simple and to the point. Parking was no additional charge, it had WiFi, etc. It worked and no issues.

Nice clean modern hotel with a great pool and bar. Rooms are well fitted out with a very large shower in bathrooms. Located in the middle of town it's easy to walk to shops bars and restaurants.

Very stylish, with an excellent restaurant and location. Unfortunately the beds are overly soft and the overstuffed queen-sized pillows too hard and squeaky. Nonetheless, may stay here again for the food and wine.

I'd call this more of a luxury "motel" than a hotel. It's clean, it's stylish, and it's comfortable, but don't expect a top-of-the-line experience. Still, the location is good and the price was right for us. But if you're on your honeymoon or looking for something really special, this is not the place.

Hotel had lots of stars, so accomodation was excellent. But, staff not very friendly, and most importantly, food is very bad for a top end hotel. It is edible but not worth the money they are charging for it.

Nice ambience on entering. Semi upmarket, room a bit small, kitchenette was ok, big bthroom to put womans toiletries n gr8 shower, nice n clean.

So many people rated this hotel with stellar ratings we do not. The beds were very soft unlike someone who said that that they were very hard. The tiny kitchen area was not large enough to sit and actually have breakfast in the mornings. The bathroom had an area with a big glass plate so you could see into the bathroom from the bedroom but you couldn't get into the bathroom from the bedroom. Not sure who re designed that convept but it is ridiculous othervthan to give one the appearance of a llarher space.

Had a REALLY good stay here. Modern, warm, clean. Well appointed. Good bar but didnt try the restaurant. Looked good though.

We had a small function at The Chateaus Quench restaurant. The bar staff and wait staff were so accommodating and did a fantastic job. The food was amazing, well done to the chef and his kitchen staff. I'd highly recommend going to the Chateau.

Our friends stayed at Chateau Marlborough when the group of us visited Blenheim, NZ on a wine tour. We met out friends at Chateau Marlborough and had coffee in the dining room. The place was well-appointed and the Staff were friendly and helpful. The decor was clean and sharp, especially if you like black and white contrasts. And the grounds outside were well tended. And, once nice thing is that it is central in the middle of downtown Blenheim ... quite near to some scrumptious breakfast/bakery shops. I probably would not stay there, as I'd prefer to spend my money on other things, but if you have a luxury hotel budget, this is the place in Blenheim.

Ok not worth what we paid. So called heated pool was cold only 4 sky channels spa would've been nice. And only people staying in a suite could watch DVD. Yet we were paying $165 a night for our room.

We stayed here two nights over Waitangi week-end, and can say that on both nights we told the staff to compliment the chef The mains were absolutely outstanding - and we are fussy! (didn't have the dessert).

My wife and I stayed here when in Blenheim for a wedding recently. Beautiful rooms, great food in the restaurant and the staff were just the best, friendly, smiling and a can do attitude. Would definitely stay here again.

Serendipitous find, pretty happy with the location and facilities in comparison to the previous night in Picton. Nice helpful staff, clean modern rooms. Centrally located within walking distance to restaurants. I'd recommend it.

We were travelling from Nelson to Christchurch. It was late night as well as Kaikoura road was closed. We got luxury roam at last minute with best deal and they arranged everything just ten mins before our arrival. It was perfect, tidy and friendly staffs. We really loved this accommodation.

Chateau Marlborough a great place to stay. Great room with balcony, great swimming pool, great music.

Room was unfortunately next to the pool bar, so lots of noisey patrons after 9 am not great when you are trying to get children to sleep. Sound proofing not great I could here the person above us using the loo!!!
