M.It has all of the necessities, but I wouldn't want to stay for more than one night. I called about a week in advance to cancel my booking with the refund but I could not get in touch with anyone. I called multiple times and left a message, we didnt want to lose our deposits so we stayed here anyways.
The kitchen and outside area were nice, clean and cozy. But it was crowded and hard to get comfortable in the other lounge areas. The rooms felt damp and stuffy as well.
K.Nice place but unfortunately the staff was quite unfriendly and always late at the reception snd the bathrooms were dirty.
Anyhow. The is great. Quiet and a nice not too long walk from the center.
Laundry available close by.
A.I had a great experience here. The staff were shy but very friendly, and the other guests were courteous and fun. Kitchen was small but well equipped. Hammocks in the back were phenomenal after a long day!
C.Great hostel, small (only 37 beds) and friendly. Nice staff. You ll have plenty of free things like free towel, free WiFi, free herbs and condiments for cooking, etc. There is a free BBQ on Saturday night, don't miss it. The supermarket is quite far away (20 min walk) but it's OK. The city center only is only at 10-15 min walk. One of my best place for sleeping in chch.
I.It's nice to be able to stay in a place in NZ where Wi-Fi is free. Just one less cost to worry about on a budget, in a country that isn't cheap to travel.
Beds are comfy.
C.Best wifi in NZ (free unlimited fast and works everywhere). Good size kitchen with everything you need and decently close to the city. Very pleasant stay here.
T.Stayed for a night but hostel was really clean and toilets were great as well. Dorm room was spacious and bed was comfy! Receptionist was really nice and friendly too!
P.Everything you could want out of a hostel. I met amazing people here from a variety of places, the vibe is really friendly, it's clean, the beds are comfortable, the bathrooms work well, the backyard area is nice when it's sunny, and it's walking distance to most places. Definitley recommend it!!

R.Only writing this because I've been to other backpackers in the same price range and realise how amazing this one is! It's clean, has free wifi (easily connected, fast and without catch which cannot be taken as granted in other places), and with personal power point for EACH BED!!! Absolutely love everything about it!
Y.Good room, good bed, good wifi and kitchen alright but the showers are kind of bad except if you are really small.
A.That's such agreat place to stay. You got everything you need, it's relatively cheap and the owner are so great. On my next New Zealand trip i gonna stop there again :)

J.(Translated) The staff is very friendly. It takes about 15 minutes to walk from the old site of the church. It takes about seven minutes to walk from the paper church. The location is not bad. There is no elevator and the stairs are narrow. The bathroom equipment is relatively sunny, the kitchen equipment is perfect but the cleanliness needs to be strengthened.

T.(Translated) Cozy hostel that has a phenomenally beautiful backyard (aka garden). So when the sun comes out, you can either enjoy the warmth in one of the two hammocks, at the huge wooden table or in the grass. Several clotheslines offer enough space not to have to dry your laundry in the dryer. Washer + dryer cost = $ 4 each
The showers are clean and individually separated. The beds are average comfort, but very comfortable + clean bedding.
This hostel is small, cozy and quiet. The staff cautious but nice. Supermarkets are about 1 km away (countdown, Pack'Save)

Gemütliches Hostel, welches einen phänomenal schönen Hinterhof (aka Garten) hat. Wenn also die Sonne rauskommt, kann man entweder in einer der zwei Hängematten, am riesen Holztisch oder im Gras die Wärme geniessen. Mehrere Wäscheleinen bieten genug Platz seine Wäsche nicht im Trockner trocknen zu müssen. Kosten Waschmaschine + Trockner = 4$ each
Die Duschen sind sauber und einzeln abgetrennt. Die Betten haben einen durchschnittlichen Liegekomfort, aber sehr gemütliches + sauberes Bettzeug.
Dieses Hostel ist klein, gemütlich und leise. Das Personal zurückhaltend aber nett. Supermärlte sind circa 1 km Laufweite entfernt (countdown, Pack´Save)

Ich selber war nur kurz in dem Hostel, eine Freundin war aber für ein paar Tage dort. Es sah sauber und ordentlich aus. Die Betten waren vollkommen ok und die Zimmer waren sauber. Wifi ist kostenlos und es gibt zum Glück Ruhezeiten, so ist die Nachtruhe garantiert.
