S.We absolutely loved our stay at Christchurch's Country Glen Lodge. Super clean and tidy, unbelievably comfortable bed, great shower, separate loo wch was extra convenient! Most of all, the gentleman who served us was lovely and so helpful and kind. We would definitely stay again!
G.We arrived a few hours before our check in time and our room was not ready we were given a room that had already been prepared which allowed us to relax before our appointment, very good service and would stay there again.

Unlike the other motel, the shower was GREAT. It worked.

N.This is an odd review as we haven't stayed at The Country Glen, but we were supposed to. Being in Lockdown level 4 changed our plans and I would like to be able to thank the staff for excellent customer service in such a trying time for everyone. It must be hard dealing with and processing cancellations, but your service means we will come to stay when we are next down in Christchurch.

V.We stayed here just the one night after a long coach ride up from Dunedin. Upon arrival we upgraded from our queen studio to the spa one bedroom apartment and were very happy indeed - the deep, hot spa bath with lots of bubbles was just what the doctor ordered. The apartment was warm and cosy when we arrived, very nicely decorated in neutral tones. There were two superb leather recliner chairs to relax in - so we were both comfy. This is much better than the poxy two seater sofas that usually feature in properties at this price point. The kitchenette was spotless and had everything we needed to prepare an easy dinner and our own breakfast with supplies we brought with us. Very comfortable dining chairs and table as well. Nice toiletries in the bathroom, quality linens on the bed. The bed was too firm for our taste but will no doubt suit many travellers - and it was only one night. Nice carpeting throughout. In the bathroom, both bath and separate shower were immaculately clean and the towels were a great size - very luxurious indeed. Pamela was on the front desk when we arrived and again when we checked out in the morning - a very welcoming and helpful young lady. Absolutely a five star experience for the price paid and we wouldn’t hesitate to recommend this place as a good one-nighter or even for a few days as a Christchurch base.

J.Quite dated. Draft excluder fell off the door when we arrived and wasn't replaced. Tiles broken in the bathroom. No remote for bedroom TV..and no channels tuned. Reclining chairs not in good working order. Had a stale smell throughout. On the upside, there was a large Tv in lounge with Sky and free wifi. Bed was ok.

T.This motel is not perfect, but it more than makes up for it with numerous extras. Stove, fridge, microwave, tea kettle, even an ironing board! The shower had lots of pressure and endless hot water. You should stay here!
T.Management efficient. Housekeeping likewise. Friendly staff. First time I have been asked what kind of milk I would like to have at check in. Only two drawbacks: a bit too far to walk to city center and dated rooms. But hey, that's personal. Recommended.

R.Very clean rooms and friendly hard working staff. The lodge needs a lot of maintenance. Lights need fixing walls need plaster. It seems to have been run down.
F.Motel & Service Great. Road works in ChCh we realize are a fact of life and must be done a pity that lasted one night until 2am. The first night was ok. Keeps the boy racers out anyhow. Very handy to Southern Cross Hospital which we attended. Thanks guys.

R.Clean. Great room layout. You'll need a car as it's a bit of a walk to get anywhere (supermarket, restaurant etc). A bit noisy with traffic on Bealey Ave.

Very well equipped. It's almost like a small holiday apartment. There is a good sized bedroom, a bathroom with a shower, and a separate toilet. In the entrance area is a well-equipped small kitchen and there is a living room with a small balcony.
The price / performance ratio is accordingly very good. The owner is also extremely friendly and immediately offered to help carry our luggage into the room.
The location is quite good. After a 20 minute walk you are in the city center.

Tolles Motel,
Sehr gut ausgestattet. Es ist schon fast eher eine kleine Ferienwohnung. Es gibt ein angenehm großes Schlafzimmer, ein Badezimmer mit Dusche, eine separate Toilette. Im Eingangsbereich ist eine gut ausgestattete kleine Küche und es gibt ein Wohnzimmer mit einem kleinen Balkon.
Das Preis/Leistungsverhältnis ist dementsprechend sehr gut. Auch der Besitzer ist überaus freundlich und bot für unser Gepäck gleich seine Hilfe an, es in das Zimmer zu tragen.
Die Lage ist recht gut. Nach einem etwa 20 minütigen Spaziergang ist man schon in der Innenstadt.
