G.Overall: lovely owners and great rooms but very overpriced.
We ended up staying here by chance as there was an event on and almost all other accomodation in Christchurch was fully booked. Barry and Angela were warm and extremely accommodating by being able to get a room ready for us at such short notice (arrived close to 6pm) - a massive thank you from us for that. Parking was a bit of an issue as it is a single driveway, so if there are other guests you may need to play musical cars to get out.
The rooms are spacious with high quality bedding and pillows, and the bathroom is akin to that from a 5-star hotel.
And therein lies the problem: at the time if writing, a stay at a 5-star hotel like the Sudima will cost about $230 compared to $395 here, and the Sudima comes with more amenities.
Dyers House is in a nice location and run by a lovely couple, but tough to recommend at that price. The review was going to be 3 stars, but I am adding 1 for their cat Eric who was a delight and a star in his own right!
T.I Booked this Night For My Boyfriend and I For Valentines Day. I would definitely stay there on a return trip. Upon arrival, we were greeted by the door*** with a warm welcome. I found the room facilities to be very adequate. The hotel itself was very neat and clean.
I.Barry and Angela were very welcoming. The house is stunning and the rooms extremely well furnished and had the best nights sleep. I can not fault any part of my stay. Thankyou
S.We had our wedding at the house yesterday and also stayed the night. Fantastic venue! The owners were extremely nice and very helpful. The room was amazing!

F.(Translated) We were welcomed very friendly. Really nice rooms with high quality furnishings. Good beds and a nice bathroom. A terrace in the beautiful garden to sit outside. We felt very comfortable. Great breakfast in the conservatory of the hosts. The landlords like to give tips on the environment and help with questions. Parking is possible in front of the house. Great accommodation.

Wir wurden sehr freundlich empfangen. Wirklich schöne Zimmer mit hochwertiger Einrichtung. Gute Betten und ein schönes Bad. Eine Terrasse im schönem Garten zum draußen sitzen. Wir haben uns sehr wohl gefühlt. Tolles Frühstück im Wintergarten der Gastgeber. Die Vermieter geben gerne Tipps zur Umgebung und helfen bei Fragen. Parken ist vor dem Haus möglich. Super Unterkunft.
