Z.Great motel, spotlessly clean and enjoyed our stay. Putu at the desk was super friendly and welcoming. We went to an event at the AMI and this place was close enough to walk there and back. Shower was amazing.

D.Great location and absolutely clean! I’m not sure if it is new but the room seems very new and clean! The staff were very friendly and introduced the surrounding to us. The kitchen is fully equipped and provides everything we need. Bed is comfortable. I was asking for a quiet room so they reserved a room with the special door to cut off noice, which was very thoughtful and appreciated. Will definitely come to stay again if we go to Christchurch in future!

V.Clean. Large bed. Everything worked. Air conditioned. TV appears to have a fixed volume and air conditioning may have fixed controls too which some may not like. Hardly noticed road noise. Ten minute walk to the mall.
D.HIGHLY recommend Golden star motel. The owner was so helpful and lovely. Room was immaculate, warm, bed was comfortable and considering it was booked out, it was very quiet. Handy to everything too.
C.This by far was one of the friendliest motels we have stayed at, the manager went above and beyond to ensure his customers were happy. The beds were super comfy and everything was so clean and fresh. Location was good close to shops and restaurants. I would rate this a 10 out 10
J.Beautifully presented room with up-to-date modern facilities and an immaculate bathroom. The owner was very helpful. Ideal location for taking the Tranzalpine train at just a 10 minute walk from the train station.

J.New and clean rooms. Bathroom well designed. Great location in Riccarton, close to mall and restaurants. WiFi signal could be improved however since I had trouble maintaining a stable connection. Overall I highly recommend staying here.

Only 3 months old, beautiful room with incredibly beautiful decor and all the up to date mid cons. Extremely central and the owner/manager was so friendly and so helpful.

Great massage shower! The bathroom has everything. .heated towel rail..extraction fan & heater fan, so the room doesn't get really cold. Heated & lit mirror & fantastic hairdryer not fixed to the wall thank goodness!
There's a cupboard for hanging clothes, side tables with drawers. Comfy seats & low table. A computer surface below the TV with seat. HDMI port to connect to TV. 1GB free WIFI.
All kitchen equipment necessary to cook meals. Good extractor fan over hob. Small fridge & microwave. It has been really well thought out & provided a lovely ' quiet space' for us for 4days/5nights.
Good parking close to units. Disability parking & units available.
Easy driving to Hospital, the Horncastle Arena & to shops. Highly Recommend

R.We really loved the room that we stayed in and our friends and family also stayed in other rooms for several nights and we all loved it. The room and ensuit were spotless, warm and cosy and the attention to detail was great. Nice teas and coffee, lovely plush towels, fantastic high pressure showers, nice kitchen and comfy beds. The manager (Angela) was fantastic. She was very patient, kind and friendly and was extremely helpful. It was a pleasure to stay and we highly recommend the Golden Star. It's only a five minute walk to Riccarton mall and a couple of minutes away from Horncastle arena. Great place and definetly worth five stars!

א.(Translated) 25/01/2020. We are two couples, we specifically requested rooms on the ground floor. Both rooms are lovely. They are not big but everything is brand new and clean. A small kitchenette with everything needed, a nice shower and toilet, a large window in front of the bed and a large glass door to exit to a nice enclosed porch. The room also has an air conditioner. It is one of the rooms whose lighting is also good in contrast to many hotel rooms which do not provide lighting. It was a pleasure to be in the room.
Total: $ 150 Nz per couple per night.
