Accommodation is quite some distance from the CBD and even further from the airport. Need car to access local eateries. Required to park on street. As soon as you enter you are hit by the smell coming from the communal kitchen which also serves as the communal laundry. Do and don't signs everywhere on the walls. Felt like a boarding house. Noise level increases when people using the kitchen. Our room was clean and had a good-sized bathroom and comfortable bed. Opened out onto a private deck facing the garden

Great price and a great stay. There is a lot of noise at night from the acorns falling off the tree and hitting the roof, but that's just seasonal. Close to New Brighton as well!

Awesome place to stay. Host was really lovely and the rooms were tidy and welcoming. This will definitely be our go to when in Christchurch

We arrived into Christchurch without any booking only to find the whole City booked out due to concert etc. Bruce came to our rescue arranging a room for us even though he was booked out The room was well prepared and comfortable . We appreciated his friendly help strongly recommend his property

Very nice hotel. Owner was very kind and helpful. He got us upgraded to a better room since it was available. We stayed in room #2. It is spacious and comfortable. Great shared kitchen with complimentary milk, cocoa, coffee and tea. Will definitely be staying here again when in Christchurch.

We often stay at Sandy Feet Hotel when we travel into Christchurch for sport. We love every aspect of it: Bruce is the perfect host, Bertie the labrador is friendly and well mannered, the rooms are always clean and comfortable with heat pumps turned on for when we arrive on a cold night and milk in the fridge.

While the name states "hotel", it is a guesthouse in a residential area. My room was well-appointed. I would highly recommend guest staying here to hire a car. There is both on property and street parking available. Property is a very short drive to the beach and 15 minute drive to downtown Christchurch attractions. The host was very kind and accommodating. There is a kitchen and laundry available ($5 / load) to guests.

This place is absolutely amazing. Bruce is awesome and very helpful. He has 2 dogs and they are well behaved. The room that I had was the garden cottage it was clean and everything was there. The only thing that was missing was the t.v remote. It was very quiet. Best 3 nights ever. Thanks Bruce 😀

Great host. We arrived late to find we'd been upgraded to an ensuite room at no extra cost. Also our host was a mechical genius, who with the help of Uncle Google showed me how to get my vehicle going the next morning. Highly recommend this hidden gem. Fantastic well priced accommodation..

Our stay was very comfortable and the place is clean and well equipped. Very well managed with a simple breakfast provided. Bruce the owner is also really nice and accommodating.

Awesome place to stay in Christchurch. Little beautiful house! The rooms are very lovely and nice. Feels like wellness after traveling when you enter this house! And Bruce the owner is very kind, he is taking care of you and he's always ready for a little chat. Also only 10 minutes walk to the beach. Washmachine and WiFi for free for that price is awesome! There is no better place to stay around Christchurch! Love it!

Incredible little hotel in a quiet street.Great room prices. Everything is clean, well organised, and the owner friendly and helpful. We have room 1 with onsuite and there are soaps and shampoos, coffee tea, a couple of other snacks etc. A bath too by the way. In the kitchen there are some shelves with tins of beans etc for sale. And you can help yourself to coffee and breakfast if you want. Wonderful place, next time we come back here.

Best accommodation I have stayed in New Zealand! Very clean, modern and quiet. If you have your own car,everything is accessible! Very fair pricing and Bruce is a great, firendly and welcoming! Big recommendation!

Friendly owner. Will tell you more than you need to know. Location is a little out of the way but was in a quite suburb. Room was last the available in the granny flat out the back. With single bunks. Cosy room. Warm feeling of a loved home. Other rooms seemed to look ok with double beds. Common kitchen was very small not big enough for more than 2 people at a time which also contained the laundry. Secure parking on the property was available and late check in was available also. Over all it was a pleasant stay but I think that we wouldn't stay here again as it is a bit far from town.

Comfy beds! Beautiful gardens and friendly host! Parking wasn't ideal, but everything else made up for it! Saved us from a nightmare Airbnb at the last minute. We had our dog with us and he was allowed!

Spent 2 nights in room 7. Warm comfortable and affordable. Bruce is lovely and obviously takes great pride in his small hotel. Defiantly would stay again.

Comfortable and friendly. Awoke to birdsong in the trees and pretty little garden setting. Handy with a host of good takeaway food options nearby. Kitchen also has a modest range of easy to reheat meals and snacks. The beach and pier are nearby and we struck the Saturday morning market and bought homemade German bread and nectarine/peach/Apple jam, cleverly packaged in upcycled bag.

It's like Bruce has seen everything he liked in hotels on his travels and put them into this place. $5,000 bed he told us, plus a great shower and bathroom.

Excellent service, Bruce is very friendly and his house is always tidy. I recommend the higher priced rooms but even the cheaper ones are great value for the price.

Good B&B and very friendly landlord. In walking distance to the Christchurch pier and the ocean. Bus stops nearby. Great place!

Vous avez de quoi cuisiner quelque chose si besoin et café et thé gratuit. A ce prix là à christchurch ne cherchait plus ! Ce n'est pas dans le centre ville mais le bus pour le centre ville passe juste au bout de la rue.
