W.Recently stayed 2 nights, very clean tidy and comfortable. Was put in Unit 3 around the back.
A minor distraction, as I am a light sleeper, was the tick of the wall clock. Otherwise, it was super quiet considering the main road outside. Removed battery, re-inserted in morning and reset time. Problem solved. Lots of T.V channels to choose from and ample shower pressure and plenty of hot water. Even though a little on the older side, this motel ticked all the boxes
and Michelle at reception was friendly, informative and accommodating. Would definitely
stay here again.
L.Booked into a 1 Bedroom Apartment here. Room was fantastic. Spacious, clean, quiet comfortable. Everything was perfect and I could not fault it in anyway. Was worried that being on the bottom story would mean lots of noise from people walking around above. This was not the case, no noise from above and nothing from the busy Papanui Road. Sky TV and Air Conditioning unit in room.
I will most certainly be back
A.Good friendly staff and clean spacious room. Shower faucet was a little low and wasn't adjustable. Bed was comfortable with pillows that were not the usual too-flat ones. Price was very good compared with other places we've stayed in Christchurch. Very helpful manager who showed us to our upstairs room and offered to then help carry our bags. Great stuff.
R.We stayed here for 8 days. The wifi was very weak and cuts out every other minute. Their bandwidth is too small. Also, their May Chang soap products were nothing special. They should just get rid of them. Their "essential oil" was just lemongrass from the smell of it and pretty lousy so we used our own soap. The shampoo soap was particularly very dry. There was also no frying pan to cook eggs in (despite being provided an egg beater...). Otherwise, it was a good stay. The place is very comfortable and spacious, and the staff were able to provide extra items as needed. The place was maintained on a daily basis, had well-placed lighting, away from the noise on roads, well-stocked with coffee and tea, and good AC.
J.Great for locals but not so much for overseas visitors.
The Good: friendly efficient staff; well stocked kitchen; relatively clean; close to the city; walking distance to restaurants and groceries; decent TV channels.
Not so Good: Dated; Very poor/spotty Wi-Fi that at times can’t even load google maps; shower stuff all had very strong lemongrass smell And not great with hard water;
If you’re from overseas and planning to stay here, bring along your own shampoo/conditioner/creams etc and a data travel pack or local Sim with extra data.
K.Small place. Rooms open directly in to the car parking area which could be a problem if it rains. The lady who was in charge was very friendly and was available all the time. The rooms are spacious and very clean. The bathrooms are a bit small. Simple breakfast is available for a small charge. A cooker and oven are provided and you can do a bit of cooking if you so desire. On the whole a comfortable lodge.
M.Spacious rooms - great location. Even our bathroom had a separate heater and loads of extra amenities were provided like coffee machine, microwave, cutting board, cutleries, etc.
H.Two nights stay for my wife, our 5 year old and myself. Hostess was excellent, warm and friendly with a wealth of knowledge about places to eat and attractions. Great last minute deal on price, spacious, comfortable, free wifi, 50 channels (if thats your buzz) and very close to excellent restaurants. We will be back!
B.Would be a 5, but just a little dated as the value reflects; still great spacey rooms, excellent location, fully equiped kitchen, clean and Sky TV. Also a real bonus is they accept dogs, that can stay in the units.
