The owners are the warmest people you can imagine. Despina and Costa are so welcoming. It's a lovely bed and breakfast. A great way to meet other like minded travelers. The rooms are clean with great heating, linen and a heap of old worldly character. Location is simply fabulous. Just across the road from a stunning old building that houses cafes, cinema's and a wine bar amongst other things. The city centre is a short walk and the Botanic gardens which are worth a definite visit is 200m away. The only reason I haven't rated the place 5 stars is that the mattress was way too soft for me. It's not that I sleep on a hard mattress but this simply didn't support me at all. I only weigh 75kg. However I'd look at staying again in the future provided they have a room with a more supporting mattress.

Really pleasant alternative to a standard boring hotel. Has a lovely colonial styling (happy to be corrected if my era is wrong as I'm no architect), a good communal area both inside and outside to be able to escape the room. Hosts are really friendly and made me feel very welcome, even though only a short stay. Great location, close to good dining options. Happy to recommend.

Lovely accommodation, very central to everything. The owners make you very welcome. We had a family member at Christchurch Hospital, they helped changing and adding reservations. It was really appreciated how they supported us. Parking available which is great in this area.

The Classic Villa turned out to be an excellent place to stay, the location is so handy to the city centre, it is quiet of an evening so a good sleep is achievable, the hosts are exceptional. Breakfast is served in a very friendly and helpful manner, with beautiful home made breads. Thanks to our hosts, very keen to come back.

Wow, what a great spot. This is where everyone should begin exploring Christchurch from. The villa itself has lovely hosts who have put heart and soul back into this beautiful building. Across the road the museum, botanical gardens, and eateries compliment the accommodation so well. Highly recommend over another generic hotel

I checked into the Villa after the completion of a tour, and it was so wonderful to check into this beautiful boutique hotel. It was difficult leaving each day to tour the city as the ambiance of the hotel was so comfortable, it felt like a home. Peter and Jan made my stay so memorable with their warm hospitality. My room was beautiful even better than I had expected. The breakfasts were unbelievable, so many great thing to eat. I hope to stay there again one day.

Very nice B&B near centre of Christchurch almost opposite a tram stop and near botanical gardens. Didn't need car as used tram on a day pass to sight see around christchurch hopping on and off at stops. Friendly host and lovely breakfasts. Several nice restaurants nearby for evening meals. Car Parking spaces bit tight and first come gets them. Luckily we didn't need to use the car during a short stay. Would use again if we visit Christchurch / New Zealand again.

This is a fabulous place to stay in Christchurch. Easy walking distance to town, warm and toasty rooms and a fabulous selection of food for breakfast. Peter the owner is an incredible host and Anna is delightful. Staying here makes you feel like you are at home while away from home.

Beautiful villa conveniently located in the center of everything - we easily walked everywhere we wanted to go. Our room was at the front corner - large and comfortable and surprisingly quiet despite being closest to street. Room was very thoughtfully appointed - extra shelves for toiletries and hooks in the bathroom, TWO luggage racks (wish all hotels provided that!). Particularly appreciated the comfortable, supportive mattress which made for a great night's sleep. So much attention to detail and comfort here - thank you!!

We stayed here for two nights to recover from our jetlag. It's a very nice boutique hotel and the breakfast was very good. They also have tea, coffee and soft drinks available at no extra cost. There is a very nice lounge area with quite a few books, large TV and fire. The owner is very helpful and the hotel is only 100m away from the Botanic Gardens.

I've always been extremely happy with the cleanliness of the hotel. The staff are fantastic. Bedrooms as spacious with period features and timber highlights. The room itself was hotel standard clean. I got a pretty cheap price for booking the room the night before. I'd definitely come back for future business trips.

The location is great for access to the city. I was very impressed with the public transportation. The in-room amenities are very well appointed. Avril, the ***ager is extremely helpful and friendly. The pricing was good for the area. I would not hesitate to stay here again if I found myself in Christchurch.

Went here and its a very lovely b&b in the middle of the city. Nice hosts who were very friendly and hospitable. The house is very pink and the interior was filled with grandeur. It really had a nice feeling of an old grand estate

We stayed for 6 nights at the end of the month. Truly a gem. Renovated very nicely with a touch of class. The hotel is located half a block from the museum and botanical garden. The room provides relaxing ambient - good to unwind after long day at the office.

We had a very relaxing and were very pleased with the level of personal service that we received from the owner, Peter. The location is perfect for visiting Christchurch. Mostly, they offered comfort and reassurance that all would be okay even as aftershocks rocked the city. Worth a visit.

Such a lovely place! Could not stop thinking I was on an Agatha Christie novel (the hallway was amazingly decorated and I even had a fireplace in y room!). Breakfast was a great continental and the dinner area gave more the feeling of being at home than in a hotel. Will book again and will definitely recommend!

Perfect place to spend a ro***tic evening out. In fact walk up the street and 1km is the Catherdal and city square. As I was in town on business I did not have too much time to look around, however the restaurants that were recommended were indeed very good.

Perfect location right on Worcester within walking distance of everything. The host is wonderful and the room was beautiful- roomy, well-equipped and absolutely lovely.

The people were lovely, the breakfast was expansive and delicious! The bed was comfortable and the shower was amazing. I cannot give this location high enough praise!

Very friendly. Great central location. Close to gardens. Great old world rooms. Really well set up bathrooms for people with mobility impairments or in a wheelchair.

Absolutely outstanding villa, and Pete and Jan are amazing hosts. I highly recommend a night or two here regardless of whether you are traveling from far or just getting away for the weekend.

Nice place providing a homely feel, breakfast was good with a variety of pastries, cereals and fruits while rooms were clean and comfortable.

Wonderful, accommodating and informative. Location is very central to food, botanical garden, museum and shopping. Would recommend it to anyone!!
