A.Very centrally located, only a 5 minute walk to the square. I stayed at the motel unit for a night where all the amenities were provided (including free Netflix). The staff were friendly and welcoming. Would stay here again!
w.Great quiet boutique B+B near shops and bars in Christchurch. We had an upstairs room (3) which was very spacious. Off street parking and breakfast included (GF available). Near Botanical gardens and the river. We would stay here again.

K.My stay here was pretty good the room was what it looked like in the pictures my bed was comfy. The staff were nice and the heat pump was on waiting for me when I got in the room. Only thing I Would change is the parking and the bathroom could have been a bit cleaner but other than that I definitely would rebook.

F.Really friendly service and nice big, tidy rooms. Lovely place but quite a bit of noise outside, also managed to cut my heel opening the shower door as it opens inwards sharply, but that's probably my fault. All in all really nice
T.We had a great stay here. Unfortunately there were some very noisy roadworks right next to it all night - but that was only one of three nights and hardly the fault of the motel owners.
Other than that it was quiet and clean. We enjoyed it and will be back.

L.We stayed in a motel unit at the back of the main house. This was lovely and clean with a huge bathroom and underfloor heating that went on at 6am. The day we arrived in Christchurch it was freezing cold and our lovely host had put the heating on for us which took the chill off. The Grange is also in a great location and well priced. I would stay there again.
D.The manager/ owner was very polite and friendly. The room was very clean and presentable and the bathroom.was massive with a heated time floor (nice). Unfortunately the beds mattress was sagging massively on both sides which made for a very bad nights sleep for both my wife and I. I say this having stayed in other hotels and Air BNB stays throughout NZ before this. This is the only reason why I have a 3 star rating otherwise it would rate in the 5 stars.
R.Highly recommend this beautiful place. The rooms are spacious, comfortable & they even provide heaters for the beds! The staff are super friendly, welcoming, & professional. They will go above & beyond to meet your needs! I've worked in the hospitality field for many years, and these people provide EXCEPTIONAL service. I was 100 percent pleased with everything, especially the delicious hot breakfasts in the morning. They make the best eggs benedict, too. :) And a special thanks to Kimberly for making us feel so welcome. ♡ No doubt one of the best hotel B & B's we have stayed in !! J.Absolutely wonderful place to stay. The proprietors are the warmest, sweetest people you will ever meet. We stayed here for two nights while on holiday visiting the South Island. This is also a fantastic location to explore all of Christchurch.
We stayed in room #5 and it was great. En Suite bath with large hot tub. The bed was super comfortable and the room was very large with plenty of space for our luggage to be spread around.
n.It was a nice stay for us in CHC, reasonable price, clean and tidy room, the service was excellent. Thank you Kim for your lovely smile, for your awesome egg benedict and lovely coffee. If we go back to Christchuch, we def visit you again. Take care and all the best, Kim

g.We really enjoyed staying here. The rooms were delightful and very well maintained. Everything was within walking distance even from the bus terminal. Great location. Staff were so friendly and accommodating. Breakfast not included but you could purchase a full continental breakfast at a nominal cost.

P.We're very happy with The Grange. They were very happy to change the room we got from the online booking, to a different one (no questions asked). The facilities were good (loved the warm bathroom floor) and the small cooking facility. Minimal noise from the other rooms, nice and close to town (right in the middle of it!); the only negative would be a somewhat limited range of TV channels.

A.The place is ok and nice and clean with comfortable large beds. I didn't rate it higher as there was a noise heat pump unit outside our room, the breakfast room was quite cold, and the breakfast was ok rather than outstanding as others have described (prob if you like a big cooked/ fried breakfast you might rate higher) . Staff friendly and helpful
J.It's a beautiful almost home-like place. The hosts are a lovely couple who are warm and welcoming and who genuinely seem to enjoy looking after their guests. Would happily come back here if ever I was back in Christchurch. That said, everything in the city is within walking distance and the house is surrounded by art museums to the back and parklands out the front. Just lovely.
K.This motel is in a great location, is very comfortable and the staff are friendly and helpful. Wifi is refreshingly fast although ther is a cap on the amount you are allowed to use. Parking is available but limited and can be an issue if the motel is full. Very recommendable at the price.

M.We were greeted at the door by a very sweet lady who showed us to our room (which was already kept warm by a heater she'd turned on for us). It was wonderful. Breakfast was wonderful, the room was adorable, the woman that runs the place is so helpful and kind. I would very highly recommend this place!

F.Great value for money and really friendly owners. Location is perfect, walking distance from city centre. Stayed in a studio with it's own small kitchen and fridge. Bed and matrass are good and has a clean and spacious bathroom with delicious shower. It's a pitty that WiFi is voucher based (2500mb per voucher), you can get another voucher for free, but if you run out of mb's at around midnight, you'll have to wait till the next morning.
S.Extremely nice and helpful staff, excellent location downtown, worked great for our first night in NZ. Two downsides though: Our room was at a busy location with very thin walls and the WiFi was quite slow (way slower than my Vodafone SIM).

C.My wife and I stayed here two weeks ago. It's a beautiful old building which has been maintained and has all the modern features you'd expect. The staff were warm and friendly and went above and beyond to make sure we were comfortable. The location is also great, with everything within easy walking distance. I highly recommend this location and hope to return in future.
