S.Penny’s Drop Inn is a real gem, and was a perfect location for us while we cycled the Lake Dunstan trail. Comfortable bed with handy shelves in the room, which can be locked. A very well appointed shared kitchen and clean, tidy bathroom facilities. Comfortable couches to relax in on the veranda, and table/chairs outside for eating Al Fresco! This is all set in a peaceful, rural location. The icing on the cake for me were the beautiful dogs - George, Lou and Dusty 😀 Lynlea and Des are lovely friendly hosts.
D.Stayed here whilst tramping down south. An awesome place to stay just a few mins drive from Cromwell...only 12 months old and still in as new condition. Clean and tidy with comfy beds, great room options (dorms, twin share, or king). Excellent facilities, toilets, showers and an amazing kitchen/dining area. Genuinely lovely friendly hosts too. Would definitely stay here again.
C.I came across this place by chance on the internet, it was a worthwhile discovery. I ranked this place the 5-star version of a Backpacker and a Motel. The facility is immaculately spotless, clean and tidy, and furnished with modern furnishing and high tech security systems. It's away from all the hassle and puzzle of life, and it is surrounded by several vineyards.
The owner Des is amiable, approachable and compassionate, and George, the dog, is a babe, I miss him. I felt welcomed, comfortable, relaxed, and I was incorporated as my own family. I thoroughly recommend this place to everyone. I will definitely return to stay there next time.
Keep up the excellent service Des coupled with your hard work and your passion about your business and people. It's rare nowadays to find a place and service like yours. The majority of businesses are blindfolded by money rather than focusing on customer services. It's the number one component that I look for when I travel, it is valuable to me.

Had a good time chatting with the other residents while cooking in the restaurant-grade kitchen.
Easy access to the lake trails via the vineyard tracks. I'll definitely be staying again the next time I'm in that area.
