L.3 bedroom house was perfect for our stay and had everything we needed! The heating was lovely and warm, shower pressure was great and house felt very homey. Will definitely be back!
R.Natalie and her son Miles are very welcoming and goes well out of their way to make you comfortable and feel appreciated.
The whole motel complex is a large organic garden. Natalie gave us a whole bag or produce that she grew when we left, not to mention encouraging us to graze on the green goodies while we were there!
I look forward to visiting again!

D.Natalie was welcoming and really helpful regarding local information and attractions. Absolutely loved wildlife cruise too. Our room was so warm when we arrived, heater on. The studio was ultra comfy and the excellent wifi. Loved the stay, we'll be back.
A.I loved staying at Beach lodge as the staff displayed such wonderful hospitality. I was very pleasantly surprised about having full access to the delicious organic veggies, made available to guests. The whole place has a warm and welcoming atmosphere. The staff were fantastic and obviously care a lot about hygiene, as my room was immaculate. I love the close proximity to the beach and that I could catch a bus straight into the city for a look around. I highly recommend staying at Beach lodge.

S.Though dated. It is well maintained for it's age, beds and beddings were modern and very comfortable, spacious studio with a full self contained kitchen!, and you're welcome to cook and eat there plants grown around the property, most importantly it was CLEAN and price very well for what they offer.
M.A motel with some age but the weather was miserable and the rooms were warm. Good cooking facilities, comfortable beds, friendly staff and a welcoming environment.
S.About 3 weeks ago, my friend and I stayed at the Beach Lodge motel for 3 nights and would have stayed longer if we could have. Sure, it's an older property, and consequently I have rated it 4 stars, but in comfort, cleanliness, spaciousness of the apartments and the helpfulness of the owner, I rate it 5 stars. She, (I think her name was Natalie) even wanted us to pick salad ingredients from her own garden - free ! Also it had the best beds we encountered in all of NZ, which is so important to me. Thank you for having us !
N.Wonderful staff. The Motel is a bit older, but they make up for it with lovely clean rooms with great cooking facilities. And an amazing vegetable garden we were invited to pick out of! Very close to the beach.

M.I had a lovely time staying at beach lodge motels,rooms nice and clean ,proprietor and staff very friendly, welcoming, and knowledgeable of the area,on what to do, where to go and how to get their, would stay their again
H.price is ok but don't stay here during winter. Theres only 1 bloody small old heater in the living area which unable to cope with supercold weather and the beach is about 2 km away.But overall, still worthit if u have very limited budget.
