Had the pleasure of using the Oast house for a meeting in late January. Charlotte was very welcoming and nothing was a problem, 5 star service and I would definitely recommend the venue to all my colleagues and contacts. Great parking and so close to the city. Thank you once again.

Warm, very clean hotel, comfortable bed and great service from the staff. We will be back again. A shame we could only view the fantastic gardens from inside due to the wet weather. Thanks for making us welcome.

Great customer service! The general manager and receptionist were very accommodative of our needs as a family. We enjoyed our 3 day stay before Christmas 2021! Thanks for the great stay!

Reasonably close to the city, clean and tidy rooms with nice shower. Breakfast was a little inconsistent but very nice. Super friendly staff. Very nice experience enough to consider re visit next time.

The hotel was in a great location, had fantastic staff held our bags early with no problem, really lovely day staff and the best night manager. I had an asthma attack and couldn’t have hoped for better help, thank you very much for a great stay. The rooms were very clean and the food we ordered in from associated restaurant was great !!

Nice hotel with top class rooms, a restaurant and well maintained gardens and easy access to city.

Comfortable. Clean, courteous service. Quiet. Great breakfast, genial hosts. Could do with even wooden stirrers for hot drinks in room, and chux or similar to wipe bench. Will stay again. Extremely convenient parking.

Great location, in the middle of Dunedin's one way system, even though it is in between both roads, the traffic noise is minimal inside rooms. We had our window open at night and were not disturbed. 2 queen beds, 2 chairs and a table. Great information book for Dunedin. Shower great pressure and height, though tight with door into shower. Nice green space to use instead of your room, tables and chairs, some tucked away for privacy. Easy walk to gardens and supermarket. Plenty of parking. Safe in room, which we used, easy to programme. Check in/out quick. Laundry room available, we did not use. Would stay again.

Good service. Location good. Beds comfortable. Breakfast available but the restaurant not open at night anymore however there is a restaurant that delivers with charge back

Great spot when staying in Dunedin. Everything is nice and close. Special shout out to Jeff/Geoff from the night shift. Helped to change our tyre and gave us advice on what to do while in Dunedin.

Been around for years, but obviously very well up kept over the years. Quiet but perfectly clean and well equipped. Great location for any university visits. Friendly and helpful staff.

Really nice location with plenty of parking. Not too far away from restaurants and takeaways. The rooms are very nice and tidy. Comfy beds and linen. Clean bathroom and good water pressure on the shower. I had a nice stay here and my only gripe would be the noisy people in the dining hall which was near my room. Not the fault of the Hotel though. Will definitely stay here again.

Nice double room. Was hot so asked for a fan which they bought to room. Beds were good but only 1 bedside table. Bathroom was nice and spacious. Clean and tidy. Had evacuation due to fire alarm which staff handled very well. No panic, all guests evacuated and room list checked against guests. Would have been nice to have had some sort of greeting on way back into building such as 'thanks for your cooperation please enjoy the rest of your stay' but otherwise was great.

Very clean and comfortable..although the shower pressure was really bad...even when its hot you actually feel cold in the shower because there is not enough water coming through.

Beautiful, private outdoor setting with a beautiful garden and really nice in inside too. Came here for a wedding and really enjoyed it. The staff were really friendly and helpful the whole night and the food and drinks were fabulous. A+

I don't know why the hotel is 4 stars rated. What I liked: - location - facilities - breakfast with late check-out combo - staff Things I didn't like: - bathrooms are poorly ventilated (no ventilation at all) - no toilet brush - heating (old electric wall panel heater) was on when I arrived and was set to 26 degrees. The temperature felt like 16 degrees. I've set it to 30, but it didn't warm the room above 20C - no air-conditioning

Went to the restaurant for dinner. We had to go to the bar to order, as no one would come to take the order for ages or even look our way to see, if we're ready... Prices are rather high, but then we ordered steak each and it was all worth it. DELICIOUS! Steak was perfectly medium-rare, jus was off the chain, fires just perfectly crispy golden and soft inside and side of salad great as well. Would definitely come back.

Long way out of town centre (30 min walk) however easy to reach on public transport. (8 bus) Staff are so helpful and friendly. Rooms tidy and clean: Loved mine as on ground floor opening onto a delightful garden area.

Good location in that its right off the motorway but it's noisy. It's a rabbit Warren of a hotel with numerous rooms tucked around numerous corners. No lift so you will have to carry your bags upstairs. Rooms are good. Clean and bright. Pretty aged though. If all you need is a place to crash it's fine but others perferred.

Wonderful location. Easily accessible. Great setup and team. Was treated to a wonderful haggis ceremony on site.

breakfast sunday was a bit chaotic. think they were not expecting so many people... but recovered quixkly and sorted gluten free options which was great

Went there for their smorgasbord dinner. The best I have been to so far in Dunedin. My 20 year and 14 year old young men left the leisure lodge more than satisfied with the food.

Comfortable accommodation in very pleasant surroundings . Pity the restaurant closed for meals other than breakfast.

Room was nice, had a great view of the gardens. But it was too hot, no way to cool it down when the sun was blasting in. Had a meal at the restaurant the garlic bread was tasty, but the cabanara was bland, no flavour at all.

Location - top end of town. Must drive to centre. Free limited wi fi. No lift. (2 floors). Good standard hotel with good size rooms. We had a twin which had two five foot beds giving a much needed best night's sleep for some weeks. (They say be careful of the sun. I say, sleep deprivation).

The room was nice and clean. Customer service was all round friendly however what really let the experience down was the lack of kitchen service. Ordered dinner from room service and waited an hour. I rang again and was told my order was taken, so I waited another 30mins. I received a call to say my order hadn't gone through the till register and at this time they only just started prepare the dinner. I requested for the Kitchen service to cancel the meal as it was getting late and fast food was my preferred option at this stage. In the morning to check out of my room, the dinner was not cancelled and charged on the bill. This was big damper for me, the lady at reception did apologize for this which was nice and reversed the dinner charge, but I don't have any confidence in the kitchen service if I was to stay here again.

Only 3 stars because there is no elevator/lift. Overall rooms were fine. Clean and tidy. Could do with some TLC a bit dull. Breakfast was good.

Nice staff, a bit road noisy but handy location and wonderful to be right by the gardens. Do yourself a favour get up early for breakfast and then walk the gardens sets up your day no matter what is coming up!

I attended a focus group at this hotel. The room in Oast house where it was held was lovely, with a beautiful fire place and rock walls. The catering was also fantastic.

Clean and tidy rooms. Restaurant and bar are good. Almost time for some room refurb to be done. Nice place to stay if you're in Dunedin.

Staff were great and helpful, food was decent for the price, hotel was a bit on the expensive side, Slightly out of town away from the busy streets, about a $10 taxi or cheaper uber.

Great rooms, not good for walking into town a bit far, but just what we wanted, quiet, clean, would go there again.

I’ve stayed here a few times now and really enjoy the location and comfort it has to offer.

I came here last friday for uber eats and the basic impression from me it was clean from driveway outside and tidy inside at the meeting room. I would like to share more at next time.

Great place to stay, short walk through gardens to supermarket, short drive to City centre.

Met up with a friend staying there. Restaurant was fully booked, so had room service...hadn't had that before(!) I had the salmon, which was devine; and the cream brulee...a real treat

Great stay! Reasonably priced and staff were really helpful accommodating my request for frozen goods to be held.

We ate dinner in McGavins restaurant as a group of 4. Meal was acceptable for the price and drinks were standard hotel prices.
