A. F.Huge rooms and such fantastic hospitality from Caro. Was a great place for an extended (five night) stay. Super courtyard too. Also very convenient having a great local restaurant on-site too. Would love to stay again.
S. P.Perfect spot !! I spent 2 nights at Ocean Beach and was so stoked to find such an amazing property so close to the beach yet only minutes into the Gisborne CBD.
Caro was so welcoming and lovely to deal with from check in to check out. My room was super comfortable and I loved the air conditioning on what was on a 30 degree day !
Food truck onsite was a pleasant surprise and thoroughly enjoyed my meals from there.
Am very excited to hear by the time I visit next will be a restaurant on site, cant wait to visit again !!

T. N.Unfortunately you could hear all the road noise at night so kept waking up. But other than that room was nice and comfortable. Very lovely receptionist and close to Wainui beach.
A. B.Perfect spot! Close to the beach and town was only down the road. Room was very clean and comfortable bed. Only down point was warm days no air conditioning but fan. Caroline was awesome, she works so hard to keep the motel running and she does a great job! So chatty and friendly absolutely loved talking with her. Had a great time away at a perfect motel. We will be back again.

Spotlessly clean, bed linen spotless, tasteful, and matched the style of room which often isn’t the case in other accommodation.
All rooms are spacious.
Toiletries provided are also match standard of room.
Good iron and iron board provided.
I didn’t get to check other parts of rooms like kitchen as just there for one night but probably well provided.
Beach is close though I didn’t have time to go there and about a 5 minute drive to Gisborne TC.

M.First of all the reception team is absolutely lovely and welcoming to there guest on arrival and throughout the stay here we absolutely loved our rooms was very stunning and beautiful 🤩 nice clean and tidy definitely everything you need we used the bbq with no additional charge absolutely wonderful and clean just 2 mins walk away from the beach couldn’t ask for better one thing I must add is finding the reception was a little tricky to find at night when we reached the hotel but overall wonderful stay enjoyed our time and will be back again to stay

Unfortunately the motel is pretty old and run down now, mouldy blinds in the bedroom, window latches the don’t close properly and it could do with a good scrub down.
There was also lots of housing New Zealand temporary housing people living there.
J. T.Possibly one of the best Motels I have stayed at in Gizzy, exceptional rooms... clean and spacious. Walking distance to the beach. Definitely a place to stay. It is by the main road but you barely hear a thing. And the reception super friendly and accommodating...funny as hell to.
A. C.Had a really lovely business trip down to Gisborne and stayed here in the nice executive suite with spa bath. The room was right next door to the reception area.
Arrived early reception area was nice and clean and key was ready to go.
Bottle of milk was given. The ares in Wainui Gisborne is a nice beach area place.
As a suggestion you could offer soft/drinks or water on arrival as part of your complimentary service as seen at other motels. This was really helpful if people have driven along way.
Although having to return back to town 7kms for food and kai it was great.
Really enjoyed the room and Spa in the room after a couple of days it was nice to enjoy the spa bath.
Thank you for putting and extra blanket ony bed it was a bit cold however it was a great stay.

J. H.I'd recommend staying here, loved this place! After some massive adventures around the peninsula in the car we needed a place to crash. This place had what I thought was good pricing and the room was perfect with a spa in the room that you could watch tv from. We didn't use any of the available amenities at the lodge but the room was private and I liked that. The lady very friendly and moved someone to another room so we could stay in that same room for 2 nights. Appreciate it and enjoyed tha stay, thanks.

J. K.Lodging was fine, but pictures are misleading about where they're located. They're not right on the ocean as we were told, and the highway traffic is right outside your rooms. The room was not bad at all.
