B.Good location, lovely management, comfortable beds, heat pump a great option for July nights! The only reason I've not given 5 stars is that the bathroom and toilet windows in the room I stayed in really need coverings of some sort. They are frosted glass, but I still think they need treatments.
Otherwise a really nice place to stay.

S.Lovely quiet location. Stayed overnight on a urgent work stay. Due to covid restrictions was contact free. Definately will keep in mind should I visit Gisborne again.
C.Stayed here in June for work. Gave late notice for my booking but still room was ready for me in 2 hours. Nice little cottage with tidy facilities, very comfortable bed. Would stay again.
K.Fantastic place to stay. Were there for 3 nights. Had everything we needed. Only the 2 of us.. so done alot of cooking as we had a unit with a stove. Easy access to come and go to town and close to historic places and walks. Beach is a short walk. Will be back again
A.Was sweet az we stayed on the 9/7 in the 2bdrm family unit could only stay 1 night as they were booked out (or we would of stayed longer) unit was awesome neat & tidy beds were comfy even had an oven in the unit lady that checked us in was the best so nice & ready to help with anything & best of all the beach was literally minutes away
S.Great place to stay and nice and handy to the beach. We had a garden unit which was good for having a wine in the afternoon sun. Plenty of space in the unit.
A.Older style studio room for $149, possibly a little bit dear for what it is. In saying that just down road in walking distance from beach, nice greeting, has Sky TV & have real milk :)
j.Just a great place to stay. Close to the beach and a short walk to eateries and the Shine Brewing tap house.Affordable,Spotless and friendly staff. If it had an onsite eatery that was licensed this would be a 5 star.
B.Lovely owner at reception who checked me in. motel is at handy location near the beach and town centre. nice touch with velvet fluffy winter blanket and cushion on the bed. room is generous size. clean. Popcorn ceiling and dated bathroom is a minus. however the good shower pressure and everything else is pleasant and lovely.

M.Waikane Beach Motel is on the other side of the road but not far from beach. It is quite nice place to live with friendly staff and good service. At night you can feel the sound of waves coming from see so it will be a great experience to stay if you are planning to go Gisborne.

J.My girlfriend and I arrived here in the early afternoon and were greeted by a very lovely woman named Marge. She told us that some of the rooms had just had the carpets done and that ours may not be ready yet, so she upgraded us for FREE to the best room in the place. We had a kitchenette, living space, dining area and a balcony where we could see the ocean. The place was comfortable, and had a great wifi connection. Some constructive criticism; the bathroom could use a fan and in general some of the retro-features will need an upgrade in the future. But we really liked this place and it was in a fantastic location. Would definitely recommend this accommodation!

B.Nice views and reasonably priced, but the rooms are a bit run down. The room I stayed in was very comfortable. The kitchen and shower in particular were quite basic, although spotlessly clean.
J.Good place to stay..2min walk to the beach or food, rooms are nice and clean. Reception is very welcoming. Does need revamping up a bit.

T.I am writing this reveiw on behalf of my mother whom has stayed several times and will continue to do so upon visits to Gisborne. I would like to sing their praise's as mum booked at short notice for herself and 1 child whom have traveled from Whangamata, Coromandel leaving at around 6pm arriving at Gisborne just after midnight, with not one complaint from proprietor as to the lateness of arrival.
On behalf of myself and mum your hospitality, costomer service and general understanding is of excellent standard.

A.Sweltering anniversary weekend and back for an unveiling in Waipiro Bay/Te Puia Springs further up the coast, on our way back to Auckland and had booked into this motel purely on price and location to both the innner CBD and the wonderous Waikanae/Midway beaches. On check in the mercury was nudging 34 degrees so were totally happy that the room had ice cold air con, comfy and perched on the upper floor gaining a good view of the beach and cooling breeze, Thank you Jackie & Co for a very nice place to stop in before heading back to the chaos in Auckland.

bed and quiet location. best things were such friendly manager, Marg Candy who has
a lot of knowledge of our favourite holiday place Gisborne and also so handy to centre
of town and lovely Waikanae beach
