M.Service and staff were excellent. We loved the biscuits!
Unfortunately beds weren't great, and we found them to be a little short.
It's a good idea to check the fridge temperature, ours was set to the warmest setting and our freezer food all melted.

C.Found ourselves stuck after the train was cancelled, hosts Kevin and Lynette were wonderfull! Gave us a run down of local events and places to visit. Even offered to give us a ride into town. Well kept units which had been recently renovated with new carpet and new paint. Unit had a spa bath which was well received after a long wet day. Highly recommend
J.The hotel itself is really great, the beds are comfy, the facilities were really nice, we had a spa in our bathroom.
We booked a room for 4 people on booking.com, and they allocated us 2 rooms, one for 5 people and another for 2. We paid in reception before we saw our rooms, went back and got a refund on one room, but couldn't get the commission back.
I suggest you book directly for this motel.

The only drawback was that we were sharing with a friend, and we had to go through the shower room to get to the toilet, which is a bit inconvenient in the mornings. Otherwise a good place to stay. Recommend it.

A.Had a fabulous stay. The man and woman who appear to run the place were very friendly and helpful. We had a superior suite and have never had so much room. Lovely jetted tub, full kitchen, nice couch and chair, four chairs and a dining table, multiple TV's with sky and 5GB per person wifi for free! Beds didn't have much support, which is my only complaint. Otherwise couldn't have been better!
G.Good property, well maintained, and fan was adequate for our stay. Lack of air con would be an issue in hotter temps, but okay for us.
Shower is small, as is WC cabinet, requiring a person to shimmy alongside the pan to close the door.
Comfortable bed, and the hotelier is a great fount of knowledge, and the rooms are impeccably clean, and contain everything you need for a short stay.
Greymouth offers more than you imagine, and we will certainly be back, and would certainly stay again at the gables motor lodge.
P.This well-presented motel was clean and comfortable with a well fitted accommodation. There was ample area inside but by no means spacious and it included hotplates as well as a microwave. It had 2 lounge chairs, a large bed which was comfortable. A good bathroom although toilet was a tight fit.
L.We have stayed here numerous times and each unit has been immaculately clean, tidy and well presented - which is why we keep going back! The rooms are really quiet - even the one closest to the road. The moteliers are really friendly and have good local knowledge. Happy to recommend to family and friends, look no further!

K.I stayed in one of the standard studio units. The room was, comfortable quiet, clean and had all the amenities one could ask for, including free unlimited WiFi! The staff member I spoke with was really friendly and helpful. I will definitely be staying here on future trips.
R.Wonderful little place! Owners were very friendly & helpful. We rented a superior suite 1 bedroom with a jetted tub, and were quite impressed (a great value)! Sparkling clean and had everything you could need: kitchen had 4 burner electric stove w/ oven, small microwave, mini fridge, sink, dish washing implements and a full service of dishes, pots and pans (all very clean and in excellent shape). Bathroom had a lovely jetted tub/shower combo that was wonderful as we were taking a break from campgrounds while traveling. The toilet had its own little room within the bathroom, which was a little tricky to shut the door. Kitchen table with 4 chairs, a queen bed in the common area along with a nice couch and tv. The seperate bedroom had another queen bed and a twin as well as a closet (complete with ironing board/iron, extra blankets, pillows and a space heater). My only recommendations are adding lights above the cooking/kitchen area and over the bathroom sink (a bit dark for shaving and such). Would def recommend & stay again!

S.Good place to stay. Rooms well appointed and clean. Laundry here which is also cheap to use. Close to some places like the supermarket for the budget conscious, that was us on a few nights. But close to some good eateries. The walk after dinner was refreshing as well.

J.Great motel in Greymouth - the rooms are modern and very clean & comfortable. Good range of DVD's and TV channels to spend the evening. Facilities are of a standard equal to other places I've stayed for ~$200 a night. Free wifi is a nice touch and Ian & Tui are very helpful and welcoming. Highly recommended for anyone wanting a comfortable, clean place to stay.
