The local township is really cute with lots of boutique shops and nice places to eat.
I would definitely recommend this motel as the best place to stay in Greytown.
L.Great location in Greytown, near convenience stores and pubs, all in walking distance. Clean modern motel. On site tarsealed parking, yes excellent for motorcycles. A little hard to spot when arriving as its between 2 buildings, but just watch out for the Ray White sign. Recommended motel stay. Lovely hosts.
R.The room was clean and quiet which was a concern as we were the closest unit to the road. The wifi was fast and the shower pressure was ok. The downside was the room was very small and with no airco it was stifling. There was an evaporation fan cooler but it didn't cool the room so was only any good if you were sitting directly in front of it. The kitchenette was tiny and had no sink so you had to get your water from the bathroom which had a very small sink with an oversized kitchen style mixer that splashed everywhere.

H.Lovely motel located on the Main St of Greytown, Greyfriars Motel provided excellent, tidy and comfortable accommodation for myself and my kids. The studio unit we had was spacipis and well furnished with everything you could need as well as a kitchenette. The heat pump kept the unit nice and warm. The beds were comfortable and everything in the unit was spotless and clean. The staff were helpful and informative. I would definitely stay there again and recommend this motel to all family and friends.

A.Greyfriars Motel is conveniently located in the centre of Greytown. The studio units have good, clean amenities with a firm bed and large accessible shower. Free off street parking is available outside each room and free wifi throughout. Friendly owners and a handy 11am checkout time.
N.We stayed here on 3rd and 4th March 2020. On our arrival we were warmly greeted by the motel's Meeter and Greeter, Whitey. Whitey made us feel very welcome and regularly checked on our welfare throughout our stay. The unit was beautifully decorated and well equipped. We had a pleasant two days there.
J.Very clean. Comfy bed. Although right in the middle of things it's set back from the road so nice and quiet. Had a relaxing time, just what we needed.

J.A surprisingly lovely place. Modern cabin style so only one neighbour. Wide verandahs to sit and chill. Very modern, as as clean as a whistle and lots of space. Very well appointed. Greytown has a surprising number of funky arty shops. A thriving scene.
t.Loved this place. My sisters & I will DEFINITELY return. Nothing was too much trouble & we were made so so welcome. They went out of their way for us & were kind, considerate, efficient & met all our needs. We cannot recommend them highly enough. This is our place to stay in Greytown & in the Wairarapa. M.We spent a few nights here in a garden room while we explored the southeastern corner of the North Island. It's a lovely spot, quiet considering it is on the main road, and really convenient. There are plenty of restaurants, a supermarket, and some of the town's attractions in easy walking distance.
Sarah and her husband are soooo helpful, you couldn't ask for better hosts.
The rooms themselves are either quite new or recently refurbished and the gardens are beautifully maintained. I had to do some work while we were here and the space was great for that. The wifi here wasn't the fastest, but it was one of the most stable hotel internet connections we found in the North Island in 34 days.
With daily room servicing, including the dishes, Greyfriars actually functions a little more like a hotel than a motel. We really loved it here and I couldn't recommend it more!

and were quite exhausted. Ian went the extra mile for us and our lovely unit was ready way before we expected. We didn’t pre-book much advance warning as we were just ‘winging’ our trip.
