R.Stayed here with my daughter after her surgery at Waikato Hospital, owner was lovely and accommodating, location excellent right by the hospital and shops/takeaways 2 minute walk up the road. Was a little noisy being right by the busy road but we werent too bothered, it was comfy, clean and relaxing after a long day at the hospital
t.The owner operator was amazing. So lovely and welcoming. Stayed here while mum was in hospital and the owner just made me feel so at ease amongst a horrible situation. Rooms were well taken care of. Absolutely recommend especially for the great service.

A.For my purposes perfect. Nice clean tidy unit. Maybe a little outdated. But while I was there, there were tradies (interior decorators) working on units. But the lovely manager/host, very accommodating, friendly, service with a smile. Great customer relations. I have no problem staying there again.

H.Suzy was lovely, welcoming and accommodating and went the extra mile for us. The management of Abbey Travel Lodge are very understanding of the needs of people that need to stay in Hamilton for medical purposes and try to make the stay as pleasant and comfortable as possible. They even offer shuttle services to the hospital, which takes the stress off having to find/pay for parking.
The unit was clean and had essentials with full stove, microwave, toaster and fridge etc. It had electric heating, which kept us adequately warm.
S.The unit is better than expected. This is like home away from home, it is so well equipped. The unit has obviously been refurbished. Very clean, tidy, and so handy to the hospital. Just bring earplugs if you're not used to traffic noise.
J.Facilities were lovely, comfortable, well presented. Only problem I had, and it was not the fault of abbeys at all was the traffic noise through the night, I live in the country and am not used to it!! But at least I had a comfortable warm bed to lay in while listening to traffic all night! Lol. My Mother who lives in town didn't notice it as much.
D.Suzy, Jonathan and their daughter do a fantastic job of providing a homely respite for families who are needing to support loved ones receiving medical attention. We have stayed here on numerous occasions while our youngest daughter has undergone surgery. The lodge is closely situated to the hospital (walking distance) and has parking available. The units are spacious, modern, offer separate bedrooms and full kitchen and laundry facilities and represent excellent value for money. Moreover Suzy and her family are friendly, welcoming and go that extra mile to ensure their guests are relaxed and happy. Thoroughly recommend the Abbey and can't thank them enough for their hospitality. It's our No. 1 "go to" whenever we stay in Hamilton. Warmest Regards, Dionne & Anaru

N.I turned up in somewhat of a panic unexpectedly in hope they could fit me in somewhere, suzie and her granddaughter greeted me at reception and luckily for me they had room for me for 1 night... problem I needed 2 nights, suzie quickly offered to ring another place down the road which fitted my budget and needs and booked me in there for the following night. Suzies granddaughter them got the milk and showed me (with nan) where I was staying. Such a lovely family to meet and so so helpful and the fact the owner made me feel like she cared made such a difference! Highly reccomend! Perfect location to hospital, shops, pizzahut and bus route. Accomodation was clean, warm and comfortable. Thankyou suzie & family ..
N.Just stayed here for 3nights while husband had heart operation Waikato.
Loved our room,Well serviced, clean and fresh,
cosy, microwave, toaster etc. Short walk to hospital, shuttles available for hospital patients and family. Hosts really friendly and helpful. Plenty of food shops just around the corner. Can recommended lovely roast meals. We had small meal and had heaps. Home away from home.
T.Great service, nice responsive staff who genuinely care about your comfort. Room was refurbished and nice. Shower flow requires increasing as stream is slow and small in diameter. Overall a good place to stay.
B.Absolutely recommend Abbey Travel Motor Lodge. Awesome service. Family friendly. Rooms are clean and tidy. Full kitchen. Great outdoor space. Shops are right next door. Super Affordable. Definitely recommend staying here if you need accommodation for Hospital stays as Waikato Hospital is straight across the road and Braemar Hospital on the opposite corner.
a.24.5.2020 when we arrived hea an all I can say is Susie you your husband an whanau are the most wonderful host.Our stay hea for 4wks was awesome .The whanau unit mysellf an my dear Joe Hiroki stayed in wss like home away from hm.Highly recommend your motel to all folks back hm Tairawhiti East Cosst Thanku so much yous are tops .Units were always clean anyour staff are wonderful. C.Very friendly service, very convenient as the hospital is across the road and a small supermarket is just a minute walk up the hill! The unit was very warm and cosy and I loved that it had an oven!! Thank you very much for looking after us during our stay :-D

S.It was a nice place to stay, clean and tidy with plenty of space. The staff were very friendly. We had the family unit and it was just like being in a 2bdrm flat. Enjoyed out stay and would not hesitate to stay there again.

R.Value for money and just a short walk to the hospital. The traffic on the main road is non stop as is the helicopter service for the hospital. If you're a light sleeper, bring your ear plugs. Otherwise it's a top spot
