Don't be put off by my 3 star location choice. We were not in Hamilton long enough to know if it was good or not. Trust my 5 star choices for rooms and service! We arrived after 9pm and were met very courteously and shown to our room. The room was nicely appointed, very clean, and very comfortable. We're going to revisit Hamilton for a longer stay in a year or so, and we will be booking into the Argent when we do. We were upstairs, and the stairs had the best non- slip surface I've ever seen at a motel.

We, my Brother, Partner and myself had to stay for a couple of nights, as my Partner had a Operation. I couldn't, believe how close it was to the hospital, it was just at the Argents back door. The Rooms were nice and clean and very Comfortable. Graham that Ran the Motel was so helpful! Took us twice up to the hospital, once to show us and also at 7am the next morning of my Partners Op.! Amazing!!!! I would Definitely stay again if we ever need to be at the hospital again or even if we just visit Hamilton for the weekend!. Danielle Pond

I cannot recommend Graeme and the Argent highly enough. The service he provided was exemplary (ringing to advise the room was ready in case we were waiting to check in, turning the heat on so the room was nice and warm on our arrival). The location is really convenient, literally walking distance to the hospital, and it close to good food. If you're needing hospital accommodation, it's perfect.

Cannot fault the service, incredibly accomodating to our family under some extremely stressful circumstances. Walkable distance to Waikato hospital. Only faults would be shower pressure can be quite low at times and water from shower tends to flood bathroom but we just rolled up a towel to stop this. Comfortable beds, quiet. Even with a busy road and helicopters land close by.

Great experience, we were riding the Te Awa Trail and staying overnight in Hamilton. Graeme the manager had warmed the room up because he knew we would arrive cold and wet due to the rain. Such a nice welcome. He also stored our bikes safely in the garage overnight. The rooms have been recently renovated, very comfortable. Great value as well! The motel is five minutes ride from the trail and 10 minutes ride to the Hamilton Gardens

Came to Hamilton for a training course at the Bryant Education Centre on Hospital grounds. Originally stayed at Argent because it was the closest but turned out to be an excellent place to stay. Large clean and spacious rooms with everything you want. Graham was an excellent host 5+++ stars for going the extra mile including dropping us off to the training. Totally recommend staying at the Argent.

The rooms are well set out, staff are very friendly and willing to assist, and it was very close to the public and private hospitals.The standout performer was Graeme who went out of his way to assist us at every opportunity and even assisted with transport to the hospital. Beautifully appointed room with plush carpets, large modern bathroom, and kitchenette with a decent fridge freezer. Owners were very accommodating and went out of their way to make our stay comfortable. The only drawback is the R) hand turn onto a very busy road when exiting the motel and heading south, be patient & careful. This motel can be recommended when staying in Hamilton.

Upon our arrival, Graham greeted us warmly and personally escorted my colleague and I to our rooms, taking the time to demonstrate how to use all the amenities. The rooms were spotless and spacious, providing me with an excellent night's sleep. The following day, Graham kindly offered to drive us to our training venue, as he was familiar with the location. Needed to be close to Waikato hospital. This is our number one but always fully booked. I cannot thank the staff enough. The owner went above and beyond for me after a nasty injury. This is the kind of caring service sadly lacking in other places. The Receptionist was fabulous, room service ladies were lovely. The rooms are spotlessly clean, warm, quiet and comfortable. Had a great 2-night stay in this accommodation. Room was superb, clean and new, they provided good quality toiletries and staff is always friendly and responsive. Even though the parking lot is limited there’s free street parking available. Everything looks new and well maintained. Quiet and completely dark (closed blinds) at night inside the room to make us a good rest.

Booked this hotel at short notice. No problem, thankfully. It is quite close to the city centre. Very quiet. Spotlessly clean. This appears to be a new hotel. There are breakfast options. While there is no restaurant attached, there are opportunities to dine out in the nearby city centre a couple of km from hotel.( best get taxi approx $15 each way, if going to have couple of drinks)

We had a fantastic stay. It is a wonderful Motel with lovely staff. Spotlessly clean with great amenities. The room was great, a separate bedroom and the kids shared the sofa bed in the main room. Included all amenities that we needed for a great stay. Also includes a pillow menu, laundry etc.

Great location, superbly clean room and modern facilities. Manager was very friendly and welcoming, going out of his way to take us to our room to ensure it’s perfect. Housekeeping also stopped by in the morning on the day of departure to check if we needed anything fresh before we left. Air conditioned room was a big plus in the heat!

The facility and interior are excellent. You can see the property owner really put his effort in running this place just by looking at the little things like the setup of kitchenware and bathroom supplies. The staff here are also very nice and friendly. I would say this place will probably one of my greatest reasons to pay my visit again in Hamilton.

Graeme was absolutely amazing! He was accompanying a customer to A&E at the time I was planning arrived. So he rang me before hand, left the room open for me and even turned on the heater. The room was clean and toasty! Highly recommended!

Graeme and Lindsay were extremely hospitable right from booking the motel 6 or so weeks beforehand. Due to Cyclone Gabrielle I couldn't come on the day planned and it was no problem to change the booking. Graeme showed me to my immaculately clean room, made sure I knew how to use the remotes. Absolutely first class service. Without a doubt I would stay again!

About as good as it gets. Comfortable, clean, well equipped rooms, a reasonable price, plus a friendly and helpful host. Walking distance for takeaways and a short drive to restaurants and shopping. The road outside does get very busy at rush hour but you really can't hear it in the room.

I have travelled extensively in NZ and abroad and the kindness, empathy and service we received was the best ever. Thank you so much Graeme - we stayed in Unit 8 for 2 nights - wheelchair accessible room with Ma n Pa who are in their 80s. The price per night was very reasonable and we would have expected to pay more for the value we received. We hope that if we ever have to stay in Hamilton again that we will be able to book a room here again - cant thank Graeme enough for everything 🙏👍🏾

Lovely service, nice clean room and friendly staff. Unfortunately the previous guest left a really strong smell of cleaning products or something? in the room. It was that strong we had to ask the cleaner who I might add was super lovely for some air freshener which she happily supplied. The cleaner was aware of the smell and said she had tried to get rid of it for weeks (Room 1). The air freshener helped alongside lots of prayer. As the motel is right next to a busy road, it can get a bit noisey for all those light sleepers. It wasn’t bad thou. I booked the wheelchair accessible room and requested the shower chair. The shower chair isn’t really suitable for someone who has no use of there legs but it can be for someone who does. I ended up using my wheelchair in the shower as it was abit to dangerous to use the shower chair provided. In no way am I throwing stones at the motel for this. Everyone’s needs are different when it comes to accessible equipment so I just thought I’d share as a heads up for those in similar situations. Overall it was a lovely stay.

We stayed while mum was in hospital up from Taranaki, the service, help in finding accommodation at other motels while we were there because they were totally booked was outstanding! The room was very nice, better than what we had paid a lot more for. I would recommend them to anyone, I thank you for your service, friendliness, help and empathy, an extra was being so close to the hospital, I cannot praise them enough for everything they did at a very stressful time. With a last minute need for accommodation near Waikato hospital, we were lucky to hot a room for one night initially, Graeme and his staff were fantastic giving us a ride over to the hospital for me to under-go emergency eye surgery and He allowed us to leave our car at the motel. When he picked us up later in the day he had booked us into an motel for that night as he couldn't accommodate us. Great services, above and beyond. My wife and I spent two nights in August 2020 in a King Studio unit at the Argent Motor Lodge in Hamilton. The studio unit was very spacious and more than adequate for a couple. The location is quite central. The facilities provided, in my opinion, are excellent and there was nothing further that we would have required. It has a very well-equipped kitchenette (cooking hobs, microwave, toaster etc) a large screen TV with most sky channels including most sport and movie channels. The King size bed was extremely comfortable, the room was clean and very well laid out. The hosts/staff (Leah and Rosemary) were very helpful and excellent to interact with. In my opinion this was value for money and we will stay here again without any hesitation should we visit Hamilton in the future. Highly recommended. Thank you so much to our hosts.

Immaculate room and bathroom. Very comfortable bed, I had a great nights sleep, even with my bad back. Staff are very friendly. Apart from traffic noise, ( it did not disturb my sleep ) my room was quite. I can find no fault at all with my room. We stayed for business and the rooms were great. We had plenty of workspace and it was very comfortable. We got two rooms to accommodate the staff, and I appreciated that our rooms were adjoined via a private hallway, so we could come and go without having to go outside, and I think it provided a great level of noise buffering from outside passersby. We had to get up at 5am, so we needed and early night, so this was mint. We have decided that this place is our new business base when we have to work in Hamilton.

Very lovely place, it teems with wanting quietness. The roads maybe busy, but the facility itself says relax, rest & enjoy your time here at Argent motor lodge. Beautiful bathrooms, staff cleaners who are always on hand every day to service your room or to fill up products that need replacing. Professional staff at reception & friendly. Always helpful. Washing machine & drier facility to keep your clothes clean. A nice huge one bedroom, comfy & clean to relax in. Sky TV & wifi to keep you entertained. Sofa bed that staff cleaners can help make your sofa bed extra comfortable by putting on extra layers & sheets. All round it's a lovely immaculate stay here at this lodge. I would recommend it to anyone who works near the CBD of Hamilton but lives somewhere far & they want to come home & relax. Tourists. It's not a party lodge though, it's an excellent idea for the facility that we are in. I'd give it 4 stars out of 5. I've only been to 2 motels & 1 motor lodge. This one wins by a long shot.

Very clean and the beds are the best! The rooms are modern and have everything you need. Situated by a busy road, I was expecting a lot of noise, but as soon as you close your doors, you can't hear a thing! A good price for awesome quality accomodation.

Friendly staff, what I would call a good old kiwi motel, not old as in age, but old as in values, obviously not out for the quick buck as an emergency housing provider. Management (especially Graham) were amazing. My father-in-law ending up in hospital while on holiday so 4 family members drove to Hamilton, booked a motel for 1 night late in the evening. We didn't know how long we would need to stay, but they went out of their way to book us on a day by day basis. We ended up staying a few nights. We stayed for one night and I can't recommend this motel enough! They allowed us an early check in, late check out and provided extra milk! My mum had an operations that day and the motel is located very close to the hospital. The owners made me feel welcome and eased the stress of the day. My daughter & I stayed here due to my husband being in Waikato Hospital. The beds were so comfy, an important thing when you are stressed and need your sleep. The room was very clean and the bath was amazing!! But the real winner was the service we received from Graeme (the owner) Graeme went above and beyond for us. He made a very stressful situation less stressful for us and I was able to focus on my husbands recovery without having to worry about accommodation for ourselves or my mother in law as Graeme & Leah took care of that for us and provided transport when needed. I will only ever stay at the Argent if I need to stay in Hamilton & I would recommend others do the same. It made a huge difference to us, thank you Graeme.

On the whole a pleasant studio room with lovely walk in shower. However the cleaners arrived well before we were ready to check out and proceeded to chat and move objects about directly outside our door! Argent Motor Lodge is without a shadow of a doubt the best hotel we've ever stayed in. This isn't a contest but we've stayed at some very ritzy places over the years, and this place was an absolute delight that far exceeded my expectations and was better than our stays in renown 5 star hotels. With the spacious rooms, connected units, spa-like bathroom, full kitchen (sink, fridge, freezer, stove, microwave etc.) and access to plenty within 5 minutes or so of the hotel, you have everything you need for an enjoyable extended stay. Furthermore, its perfectly situated as the core top tourist attractions are all less than 2 hours away. We can faithfully say that Argent Motor Lodge promises a great stay, and they over deliver hand over fist.

Such a nice, clean hotel with everything you need...including a washer and dryer for a quick load of laundry. They provide soap so that saved me a trip to the store. The receptionist was exceptionally nice & helpful. Excellent value.

The Argent is really a home away from home. I wouldn't stay anywhere else in Hamilton. The owners are very friendly and helpful. The rooms are better than a five star hotel. Booking the corporate rate includes breakfast. It is just a short walk to the hospital so very handy if that is why you are in Hamilton. it is only a 10 - 15 minute walk to the restaurant end of the city and a shorter walk to the river and the lake for an after work stroll/run. I would definitely recommend staying.

This is an outstanding place. Absolutely spotless. Quiet and exceptionally clean. One of the best we have stayed in and the price does not reflect the top quality. When we arrived we were tired and stressed as our daughter had been transferred to waikato hospital. The owner Graeme took us in his car and showed us around the hospital. Who does that sort of thing these days? Even took us in and showed us what lifts to take! this was so nice because we were daunted by the size of tge hosoital. Tge Motor lodge backs right onto hospital so you can walk! A huge plus. Best bed too! Never had one so comfortable. Thanks so much for your help and understanding. 10/10

I would recommend argent motor lodge to everyone. They were so helpful I asked for ground floor because my husband was getting op on his eye so didn't want to have to go up stairs so they upgraded us to 1 bedroom so on ground floor. Then Greame offered to drop us off at hospital in the morning for husbands op. He dropped us off at door and said just ring for lift back to room and we did. Once back at motel he offered to help us back to room and said of we need anything like extra pillows just to ask. We ordered breakfast and it was the best breakfast so much healthy food. Have booked again next week for next hospital appointment. Have not 1 bad word about Argent motor lodge and the team that run it. I would like to thank them for making a stressful time that little bit less stressful 💗💚💙

Our family stayed in No. 3, and hired the whole area. Number 3 has an "a" part to it with a second bedroom, self-contained kitchen, and bathroom with a shower. With two kids, having that extra bathroom came in *really* handy and made getting ready to go out each day a breeze. There is something very special about Argent Motor Lodge which boils down to the following points. *The hosts with the mosts* Richard and Claire went over and above to make us feel welcome. So much so that we felt like family when we finished our five day stay with them. Nothing was ever any problem for them. For example, we were offered some children's Paracetamol when I mentioned our son was suffering from a fever and we had foolishly forgotten to pack our stash. It's little touches like this that make you feel like you're staying with friends, rather than at a motel. *Sound Isolation* The accommodation itself is incredibly well designed with sound isolation the primary concern. The only noise we heard was the Emergency helicopter land and take off. All other street and guest noise was basically zero. *Facilities* It is great as a family to have access to washing machine and dryers. Being the understanding hosts they are, any heavy washing goes into the dryer used to take care of the lodge's linen. No extra charge. *Room amenities* The room we stayed in was very well-appointed: - Modern fittings. - Heated towel rails (which are great for any minor drying you need to do as well). - A bath that could accommodate even my height and leg length. - Easy to operate Portacot (which was set up in the room on arrival). - A guest laptop available if you need it. - Included Wi-Fi allowance (which allow multiple guests to use the same account) - TVs everywhere. There is a reason this property is ranked Number 1 on Trip Advisor for the entire North Island of New Zealand. I would stay here again, without a moment of hesitation.

Overnighted for business in what is an incredibly charming, modem and well appointed venue. Location to the Waikato Hospital and clean rooms are a given but as a business traveler, it was the little touches that made the stay so great. Free wi-fi, clear TV pay-tv reception, continental breakfast delivered the night before, heaps of well-located power outlets, top end toiletries including moisturiser, the list goes on and on. The feedback from the other people I was traveling with has never been so positive. I have stayed at both the Novatel and Ibis when in Hamilton but thankfully not anymore.

The Argent Motel is ideally situated for a day procedure at Waikato Hospital for people who live far away like ourselves. Comfortable and relaxing we appreciated the small things that revealed how much the hosts want to do their best for their guests. I appreciated having good scissors in the kitchen drawer, beautifully made bed, coffee, good bathroom and friendly staff. People who have trouble sleeping should realise that this Motel is close to busy roads and under the Rescue Helicopter pathway. We were not bothered. I stayed in this accommodation a couple of weeks ago. The man (maybe the owner) was very kind and explained about the heater and the keys. The lady at the reception was also very friendly. I needed to stay around the Waikato hospital as close as possible, it was the perfect location. I was able to walk to the hospital at night. The room was so stunning and tidy, I felt like much better than the other hotel in the city. I strongly recommend this place to patients' families.
