We stayed at Bella Vita over Matariki Weekend, we have just noticed that we paid an extra $80 for the night we stayed, assuming because it was a long weekend. We also had to pay a $9.80 fee for using a credit card the owner said there was no way around. For $330 the hotel was decent enough, although the fire alarm caused everyone to be tossed from their rooms early in the morning with no explanation or apology, or any communication whatsoever from the owner. This meant we were later than leaving then we wanted to be, but still felt pretty violated when the owner peered in to room, hands on face up to the glass around 9am twice to see if we had left or not. For the usual price, hotel would be fine, it was clean, beds were super comfortable and it was a very quiet night and felt safe. The room was a good size with kids and we couldn’t hear anyone in other rooms. Parking is awesome and amenities decent, towels fluffy, and close too shops. Unfortunately there is no sky tv, only about four channels worked and the remote doesn’t seem to “speak” to the tv, so we didn’t bother with tv and luckily had our own devices.

Greeted with the BEST customer service on entry, A Lovely family from Auckland running the motel. Wonderful location and very affordable. Nice, clean and spacious rooms with everything you need and more, Big comfortable king size bed and two singles accommodated my family nicely with a nice big spa bath in our suite with extra pillows, towels and a fan to keep us cool through these hot summer days. Heaps of free parking on site and close to the stadium, town and supermarkets. Almost a perfect 5 star rating, just lost X1 star for not supplying the milk and the TV abit to far away from the king size bed..Recommended to all, Rating - A

Room spacious and tidy but in need of a overhaul. Everything there I needed for two nights. Continental breakfast very good. Noise from road off putting, it's almost like the door is made from paper. Otherwise ok for a room for the night Owner was nice to deal with

Great Place! The rooms are decent in size and very clean. The staff here are extremely friendly and all to happy to help to ensure you have the best experience. Made a late booking on Friday night, for 2 nights. Gentleman was very kind indeed. Arrived at 11pm. Door was left unlocked and key left in fridge, which was pre-arranged due to our late arrival. Room was very inviting and clean. Such a nice comfortable stay. Affordable and quiet. Really enjoyed our stay. AAA+++. Will most definitely stay again. Thanks Bella Vista.

Nice, cosey room. Enjoyed having a few beers with my workmates outside. Got my extra plunger coffee sachet. Room 15 - Extracting Fan needs to be fixed. Chopping board would be handy as well. Looking forward to stay at your place on my next visit in Hamilton.

Upsides: spacious rooms with decent WiFi and sky channels. Customer service is pretty good. Downsides: No A/C, only a heater and a fan. So we found it hard to sleep on the warm nights. Decor is from early 2000s and is probably due for an update. Some noisy neighbours.

Lovely owners, place was immaculate, rooms are spacious and great location if attending events at the Stadium, which is a short walk from Motel. Booked a 1bdrm unit, only downfall was that there was only 1 fan per unit, would be nice to have a fan for each room esp in the warmer season.

A nice motel with clean facilities and nice disabled bathroom, ground level and car park at door, ||About 5-10min walk to main st of city,||Only problem do check if your booking says breakfast included that it is we had problems and was not until I showed my booking which included breakfast that the female receptionist that to back track from saying they never include break in their rates to blaming last minute for com for not telling them, she reluctantly said it was only continental and not cooked breakfast, a big let down ||Will look else where next time

A long way from the central city, could not see to unlock the room as no lights outside, nowhere to leave the keys in the morning if leaving before 07:30.
