J.Staying here at time of writing as MIQ stay. Can honestly say, despite the expected restrictions, I can only praise the hotel. Every member of staff, without fail, have been amazing, friendly, professional and accomodating. The food has been absolutely delicious ( I have been away from home for 4 months and had lost weight, well I think that's gone out the window!) Very impressed.
L.We did quarantine here and the service from the time we got off the bus till our departure was top notch. For a hotel that is visibly quite a bit older, you guys really punch above your weight with great service. We feel lucky to have spent 2 weeks here.
Very impressed to have the local iwi representatives and the hotel manager come and greet us and the other bus loads of guests when we first arrived - it felt like home. A personal highlight was the yummy food we received daily with great portion sizes and vege options.

J.We have just completed our 2 week managed isolation at the Hotel Ibis. The staff have been incredible from our first steps off the bus. Niraj, the Hotel Manager also went above and beyond for an issue we had with our luggage. The rooms were well equipped, with very good WiFi (I was working the whole time and had many Zoom meetings with no connection issues). The beds are super comfortable and very big. They tried to put everyone with a River View, which was very beautiful view. Our only feedback on the rooms are that the TVs are quite small (a minor issue).
The food was always abundant, we finished our 2 weeks with about 10 leftover cans of Coke, and 10 yoghurts that we couldn't finish. There were 2 options to choose from for every meal, and while some were average, others were really tasty (shoutout to the cannoli dinner). The only critique I would have for the meals is you receive an appetiser, a main, and a dessert with lunch and dinner - and sometimes the appetiser was too close to the main meal ie... coleslaw appetiser and then coleslaw with the pork main as a side. But that's only a small note, as overall the meals were very good and never felt like we were hungry or left wanting more.
Exercise areas were a concern before we arrived, but there are 2 areas blocked off with one having 24 hour access - it was nice not having to book a time slot to exercise. They were small areas and basically just the front and rear carpark, but it was still good enough.
Overall, we thought this would be a tough experience but it was pretty enjoyable all things considered; and the hotel staff, defense force, and nurses were all incredibly pleasant and great to deal with.
S.Managed isolation facility, all staff including hotel, security, nurses and army were very friendly and professional. The food was absolutely fantastic, lots of variety, veg or salads with meals. Felt totally safe and well looked after.
J.I had a room with a good view over the Waikato river and the Claudelands bridge. Room was tidy and clean which is expected but always a good start. Staff were pleasant and accommodating. Dinner and breakfast was very good. I used valet parking because blogs strongly recommended this as street parking was not available most times given it's bang in the middle of the city. Generally very good all round.
S.This hotel was absolutely amazing. Beautiful room amazingly beautiful people. Valet parking alot better than worrying about your vehicle. And the price was perfect. We will definitely be back ,and one more thing, it's close for Hamilton night life EVERYTHING you need right there. Breakfast was absolutely delicious. Thank you so very much Ibis. I.Beautiful dinner & breakfast - excellent service.
Reece was our waiter & also the manager of the dinning area and he was excellent.
We would dine here again and considering we live in Hamilton we would even stay the night here that's how good the hotel is.

- No free parking at all, either $25/valet or $20/nearby SkyCity Casino per exit. I ended up parking on the street overnight (FREE, as it's only metered 8am-8pm) and CBD now has 2-hour free parking for all
- No free Wi-Fi (wow), it'd cost $10 for 3 devices, I used my SIM card hotspot instead
I chose this hotel because the rate was decent for CBD (we still drove everywhere instead of walking)
but I would NOT recommend it if you don't need to be in CBD, look for hotels outside of CBD with free parking and free wi-fi instead
U.Stayed for the second time on our way down south. Was a late night drop in both times and both times were great. Location handy, room small but clean all u need for a nights sleep. The stand out for us was the service from staff from check-in to check out, restaurant and follow up as we left our phone charger behind. Staff were incredibly helpful and followup was without fault. We will definitely stay again!
B.Rooms and facilities were good standard and well kept. Our room was quite small for two people, although would have been adequate for a single traveller. No free WiFi. Paid WiFi was OK but not cheap.

J.Really 3.5 because parking is very exoensive. Reception was very kind and helpful, room is spacious enough, nice modern bathroom, verrry good breakfast ($25 pp) and close to shopping centre/shops. A nice stay with a good view of the city. Lack of parking was an expensive letdown ($20 a day or $35 for valet).
M.Well-located hotel in the city with good customer service and a decent restaurant. I enjoyed the variety and options of the breakfast, along with the foogy bridge views in the morning (spooky and fantastic). If you have an issue, they are quick to resolve it. Great option for a cosy but affordable accommodation.
C.Hotel had very reasonable prices and located in Hamilton Cbd. Located right next to the Waikato river with nice views from Bar/restaurant. Dined in the restaurant menu was pub fare but meal was good and service was great. My room had all the necessary bits and bobs and soon was clean and tidy, comfy bed. Feels like it caters for business travelers. Cons paying for parking and WiFi.
K.It is located next to the river and a shopping centre and 5 mins walk to the street with restaurants and bars. The buffet breakfast was good and fresh. The bed was comfortable but the room was dated and small and the valet parking costs $20/day. Staff are nice and helpful, worth for stay.

J.Clean and comfortable. A little better than expected for an ibis hotel. Restaurant with breakfast and nice view of the river. Full Sky TV which was a pleasant surprise. Valet parking at a reasonable price which was essential for the area as parking is limited and you can walk pretty much anywhere in the CBD.
A.Conveniently located and generally good hotel. Room was tidy and everything worked well. Was a bit of noise from the trains crossing the nearby bridge over the river at night. The view of the river was nice. Bed was comfortable.
M.I’d say it’s the best choice in Hamilton. The view from the river side rooms are stunning.
The breakfast was also great —— same level to what you can get from Hilton Auckland, and it’s an Ibis!
Takes another 25 dollars for parking. If there’s any street parking trick I’d use that next time
L.Small rooms, sterile vibe. But cute view overlooking the Waikato river on the riverside - although it's not much to look at. Might be great for a quick business trip. Didn't try the food. Staff are friendly. Parking is $20 p/night, which is very expensive for Hamilton city compared to daytime prices. But there's no other viable parking options available for overnight stays to ensure your car is safe.
c.Very nice and clean. Moden. Well looked after. Food was good. Bed was large and comfortable. The shower was at the right hight. I hate how mist players have showers for kids that point at my belly button. It was nice to be able to stand under it for a change. I will be back.
J.Efficient reception and a comfortable well appointed room. We had been travelling a lot so were happy to have the retreat to go back to. We were in Hamilton in support of our daughter-in law. At the NZ National ballroom finals. A lovely day and evening's entertainment.
The breakfast staff were very obliging as we had to catch an early bus to Auckland. The lady on duty made a quick plan to get us on our way.

Update: the manager stopped me in the lobby concerned about my comment. Asked if there was anything he could do, I told him I understood his concern, that there really isn't anything he could do. I don't believe his is in charge of paint and carpet.
To note: Breakfast was good, staff very friendly and helpful. Also, their are workout facilities next door at their sister hotel.

2. Yes, am now in Palmerston North. I enjoyed Ibis, Hamilton. The food was mouth watering. The staff very courteous and friendly. I had a tight schedule but enjoyed the walks around the town. If I can, I'll be sure to come back again. Thank you. NZ is a beautiful country.

N.Convenient location to the city of Hamilton. Very friendly people that work there. They have valet parking. The food in the restaurant is ok. The rooms are small and reasonably clean. It is difficult to find them if you are driving, as they are down an alleyway. No complaints.
J.Great place to stay really friendly and welcoming staff. Rooms were comfortable clean and well air conditioned. The added bonus was that there was a gideon bible in the room, which is very important to me. The only one problem is that they mixed up our car keys .

A.We enjoyed our stay here recently. A good view of the Waikato river and there is an adjoining path if you fancy a walk beside the river. It is very accessible to Victoria Street which will lead you to shops and restaurants. A good walking distance as well from Waikato museum. The parking's not free though and will cost you $20 for a valet.
D.We did Isolation here, they staff were fantastic and went out of their way to help. the food hit the mark everytime. would be more then happy to stay here under normal circumstances.

A.Room was comfortable. Good location. Restaurant was ok, but nothing to wrote home about. The train runs very close to some of the rooms that look out over the river. Not much of an issue on the upper floors though.
T.The location of this hotel is very good close to the main CBD and hospitality area of Hamilton. We had an interconnecting room which is ideal if you have kids. Excellent location for casino and resturants. The staff were very polite. Don't think too ***y females are called John No apologies, nothing.
R.The carpets and finishing is a little tired, but the location and service were excellent. The rooms had a good view and parking is available. Lots of good restaurants in the area and the river walk is right beside the hotel.
S.PROs: Nice view of the river Waikato, and very nice outdoor veranda.
Staff are helpful and accommodating (most of them at least..there are a few exceptions..).
CONs: VERY VERY VERY small rooms, and no space for storing clothes.
INTERNET is free only in common areas, charged for room use. This is a very uncommon practice, and a big disappointment being this hotel business oriented, and not cheap at all.
P.Love the rooms in this hotel, but it's so unfortunate that the stairwell exits on Levels 1 and 0 only. I understand the security intention behind this but it would be nice to be able to walk between floors.

Food was ok, it was a shame the chef didn't know how to make cracking on the pork belly. Breakfast tasted like it had been made at 6.00 then kept warm.
Coffee was week and truely stewed.
Room was clean, but the night was ruined by their party guests ... unruly at 5.30pm ... drunken arses at 3.30am.
It could have been so much more.
T.Travelling from Auckland we were visiting friends for the evening and wanted to stay somewhere close by. Water and ice chill drinks very quickly. We ate at the bistro & the food was nice enough though they forgot to bring our bread. The staff are obviously happy to be there and that is reflected in their attitude to service.
N.Always an enjoyable visit. Friendly staff and rooms have always been nice and clean. The only thing that would make this better was if we didn't have to pay for the wifi! :)

J.Rooms were ok, some were actually themed to or suprise (I went with a group), they don't appear to have onsite parking, and Internet isn't free despite the rooms being rather pricey considering I part cheaper and get better rooms elsewhere with free WiFi. Apart from that it was good, staff were friendly and helpful, someone even went to the room to check for something that I had misplaced.
T.My wife and I had a very enjoyable time in Hamilton and found the Ibis a very enjoyable place to stay. The location is excellent right in Central Hamilton on the banks of the Waikato River. Good buffet breakfast. Excellent value for money. The Ibis needs to get up to date here.
T.Its free charging for hybrid cars. ***y thanks to the staff and housekeeping and especially to Kelvin for the awesome service. Staff very friendly and placed baggage into car upon check out although I left car for collection at the end of the day. Thanks ibis Hamilton for a lovely stay.

T.Small boxlike rooms that have a tiny little bathroom in the corner and usually stuffy due to no open windows and an ac unit that seems to merely circulate the air. The room was your standard basic hotel room with a small bathroom. Pizza pretty much Musky smell in bathroomwent after having a shower and no bath.
D.This hotel is clean and the rooms look pretty new. Good location. The shower is awesome! We all know what to expect from an Ibis as it is not meant to be an upmarket hotel but this is one of the best one's I've been to.
A.Friendly staff, nice food and comfortable rooms, nice view over the river. Handy to City. Have to mark it down for not having free WiFi though - surely that’s a standard these days for a hotel that business people stay at.

R.Rating 4 stars as for an Ibis hotel it's actually quite good. Central to restaurants etc. Would I want to stay again.. probably not but would recommend if your wanting basic accommodation. The price seemed a bit high for what your getting.

M.Das Ibis hält was es verspricht. Die Angestellten von der Rezeption bis zum Zimmerservice sind sehr freundlich und hilfsbereit und die Lage um Hamilton zu erkunden ist perfekt. Wir hatten leider etwas laute Hotelgäste wobei auch hier ein Hotelangestellter rasch für Ruhe sorgte.
I.立地がよく、あらゆる予想外の出来事にも、容易にやりすごすことができ、とても助かりました。部屋の窓や、レストランから臨む朝霧のかかる川辺の景色にも感激致しました。ドアの開閉がとても重たく多少、ん？と設備面で思うこともありましたが、お値段とのバランスから、総合的にとても満足です。
D.Excellent accueil. L'Hôtel est parfaitement situé pour accéder à pied au CBD d'Hamilton et la Rue Victoria où se trouvent un grand nombre de restaurants.
Ayant une voiture, le parking sécurisé de l'hôtel est un plus.
S.Freundliches und Aufmerksames Personal von Anfang an. Die Zimmer sind zwar recht klein aber dafür ist alles vorhanden was man braucht. Besonders gut war das man die Klimanlage recht gut einstellen konnte.
Der Frühstücks Brunch ist zu empfehlen.
M.La atencion de todo el staff fue excelente. Reception, la Chica en el desayuno, los housekeeping. Todos.

Ein angenehmes Hotel zum Übernachten, die Angestellten sind sehr freundlich und gut motiviert. Leider gibt es im Haus noch keine kostenlose WiFi, es kann für 10 NZD pro Tag hin zu gebucht werden. Die Ausstattung der Zimmer ist Standard mit Wasserkocher für Tee/Café Zubereitung und einem kleinen Kühlschrank.
K.晚餐曾於餐廳用膳，食物質素非常好。房間空間足夠，質素也可以，惟房間冷氣整晚發出嘈音，由於只是住宿不晚，因此未有更換房間。最後，房間隔音很差，經常聽到其他房間聲音。
B.Nous avons été upgraded au 4 eme étage avec vue sur la rivière, ce qui n'est pas négligeable.
Par contre la chambre avait une légère odeur de moisi et le chauffage be marchait pas, mais ils nous ont vite ramène un chauffage d'appoint qui marchait tres bien.
Y.ラグビー観戦のためにハミルトンに滞在したのですが, こちらが聞く前に, スタジアムへの無料バスを教えてくれるなど, 親切なスタッフでした。部屋はシンプルできれい。朝食は, 果物の種類多く, ニュージーランド産の生ハチミツもあるなど, 大満足でした。
T.朝食は、ここが一番よかった気がする。アットホームで居心地が良かったと思います。ホテルスタッフのみなさん、感じがいいです。多くの人に、ぜひ利用してもらいたいホテルです。

Hotel de muito boa qualidade. Para estacionar tivemos que usar um prédio próximo que cobrava um pouco menos mas só podia tirar o carro uma vez (cada vez que tirava teria que pagar o valor novamente de NZ$15)
