n.Mangapapa stitched us up by cancelling our accomodation with 10 days notice during school holidays, which left us without a place to stay in the Hawkes Bay. We were quite annoyed but they more than made up for it by a dinner on the house, which was excellent. We have since stayed there and the room & service were fantastic. Great experience highly recommended.
M.Never been to a high tea before. Loved the gift of macarons and a bottle of mangapapa rose wine. I shall treasure the experience shared with a wonderful lady friend of mine. The staff were so friendly. The high tea food was nice but needs a little creativity before I can give it the WOW! FACTOR. But we enjoyed the experience being at James' Watties Homestead

H.As a member of The women's group called Red Hats, we had a most enjoyable afternoon. The food was very good and we certainly did not leave hungry. Would certainly recommend it for a special occasion.
T.We had the most incredible five course Degustationen here. The staff were very kind after having to cancel our accommodation booking, and invited us to dine with them. Each course was excellent, the chefs made sure my entire meal was extra safe (pregnancy), the wine was delicious. We cannot wait to go back and stay once they reopen for guests.
B.The hotel is beautiful ❤️ the presentation of our high tea was delightful, the food ...all a bit tasteless to be honest, and as everything is two bites you would have hoped they would have been memorable bites.

S.It's quite an iconic and beautiful place to visit. We had high-tea. The service was great. If I ever went back I'd choose the earlier sitting as by 3 pm some of the bread items were a wee bit stale, generally everything was delicious though. Lots of empty tables, so not sure why we couldn't sit by the window looking out to the grounds, instead of in the corner staring at a wall.

Upon arrival you are taken back in time, the building is extremely well maintained, the grounds are spectacular.
Staff are friendly, professional and welcoming.
The food is to be experienced, dining is exceptional.
They cater for all, including gluten free.
Highly recommend to all, local and visitors to the Bay.

B.Fabulous hotel. The staff were amazing so courteous and helpful without being intrusive. The degustion dinner was amazing could not fault anything. The actual hotel and surrounding grounds are just spectacular. I could not fault anything about our stay at this hotel and highly recommend it if you want to treat yourself.

Beautiful venue, delightful food and service which was impeccable.

A.Beautifully outfitted rooms, all different themed. Nice outdoor gardens, tennis court, and enjoyed the spa pool and small gym. Restaurant has delicious food from their Chilean chef, I would go back for the restaurant alone. Amazing artworks adorn the place also including a Picasso.

C.Beautiful historic building in nice grounds with hot tub and pool. Close to local vineyards. Very helpful staff going out of their way to help. Room turndown included was a nice surprise. The hotel grounds are great for strolling around. There's a bunch of prints around the hotel that tell you more about the history and previous owners which added a nice touch and some more interest.
L.Beautiful hotel, fantastic and knowledgeable staff. I booked in for the rejuvenation spa/massage. Massage was great and had full use of gym, spa and sauna to myself. Stayed for the winter lunch along with a glass of mangapapa pinot, was really delicious and felt like a special treat.

M.Fantastic setting. Beautifully presented food. However for the amount that we paid it was not worth it. Also one of our group could not make due to illness and we had to pay for her share - fair enough - but her share was added to each of the others in the group without any discussion, two members of our group were happy to have covered this as my friend was not known to the entire group

M.HIGH TEA From the moment we walked in the door we were greeted enthusiastically and shown to our table overlooking the garden. A glass of bubbly followed.
A three tiered stand was beautifully presented with a selection of homemade breads, adorned with delicious fillings, on the bottom two tiers and the top tier a selection of scones, eclairs and chocolate fudge. Each item was in pairs that enabled us to both enjoy.
Coffee or tea followed. My Flat White was excellent - Michael chose English Breakfast.
We would thoroughly recommend the experience - we will definitely be back. Thank you Amanda for showing us around the magnificent Mangapapa Hotel.
A.A delightful place to relax and have high tea. We booked the entire Managapapa out for an 80th birthday. They made it super easy for us which resulted in a happy day for everyone. Highly recommended!!

S.A group of 3 of us visited the spa and did the afternoon package with the hot stone massages. Amazing massages, beautiful facilities. Lunch was delicious as well. Staff very accomodating to our needs.
