C.We stayed 3 nights at Ascot Park. It was an enjoyable stay,in a very clean & we'll appointed room. The staff were friendly & helpful. The only thing I would like to see in the disabled bathroom is more hand rails around the shower,as there is currently only 1 by the toilet and another small 1 by the shower mixer. The shower seat however is nice and heavy,with no risk of tipping over.
M.The only thing that stopped Ascot Park Hotel getting 5 stars was the way I was treated by a couple of individual staff members. I observed how they interacted with some guests who must have been prominent in some way, and then had a completely different experience when speaking to them myself. I feel like one woman wanted to check why I was at the hotel, as if I was out of place (I dress well, but kind of casual). It made me feel like I didn't belong there, even though we paid for our rooms like everyone else in the hotel.
The room we stayed in was nice, it was clean, and it had what you'd expect from a hotel of this type. Also had a spa bath, 2 TVs, a telephone, kitchenware, but no salt or pepper. The pool is good, nice temperature and indoor so you can swim any time (within the times allowed). There was also a gym, and 2 saunas, as well as a spa pool which was not operational due to level 2 covid status. There was bike hire a available for guests, which I took advantage of.
I had a great stay, with exception to being treated like an outsider, and I will mention that all the other staff I dealt with were nice. I wish I had noted their names. It may not seem like a big deal, but I like to feel welcome, regardless of how I look!
It was not the first time I'd been a guest at the hotel, but I may look elsewhere next time.

E.My Partner and I visited for 2 nights March 26-28 and we both had an incredible experience! During our stay we didn't use a car or taxi service thanks to the amazing shuttle that we used for airport service along with getting around town during our stay. The room was big and comfortable with a really nice shower and comfortable bed. We ate dinner both nights at the hotel. The first night was at the restaurant because we were tired and it was a rainy night the food was incredible so we decided to eat at the bar the following evening. Both meals were excellent with good prices and generous portions. The sauna, pool, and hot-tub were a nice surprise. They were clean and well maintained, and we really enjoyed having a nice soak after a long day. **(I actually didn't know these amenities were available so I didn't pack a bathing suit, but the front desk has ones to lend if needed)** All in all it was a great start to a fantastic vacation. We will definitely be coming back!

T.This place is an all-rounder really. Great for Weddings, 21st etc any type of celebration. Also accommodation, or just to have dinner or drinks in the bar.

B.In the hotel this time, nice and warm in winter, spacious 1 bdrm, comfy bed and got to enjoy the spa bath. Bar food menu can be enjoyed at the restuarant and the Butchers Burger was delicious.

H.Excellent Experience right from telephone booking, check-in through to checking out. The room was beautifully appointed and very comfortable. All staff were welcoming, friendly and keen to assist. The in-house restaurant offered a good selection (both menu and wine list) and our meal was exceptional. Price was reasonable. Happy to recommend the Ascot Hotel.

M.Wonderful Hotel and Conference centre. Spotlessly clean and separate restrooms for wheelchair users - great idea when needing more room to transfer onto toilet. Staff are supper friendly and always go the extra mile to help you. Often wheelchair parks at front entrance are always full (only 2 parks) and it's a steep push up from the other wheelchair parks in the main parking area (would pay to have someone with you to help you up into the main doors), as it's a little steep.
Good choice of dining at Embers or bar meals available to suit all diets and pockets.
I haven't stayed in their rooms overnight yet so can't make a comment, but have enjoyed many weddings and conferences at the Ascot, last was yesterday Saturday 27th February 2021, in the Oreti conference room, (sound system was a little challenging).
I'm a wheelchair user.
R.Had breakfast there on Thursday. Well cooked and presented. Chef out regularly to check and refresh trays. Don't like tasty, real food? That's OK, as Ascot caters for the whole range, from Vapid Vegans through to Courageous Carnivores. I missed the tomato and Hollandaise sauce but not next time. Also had fresh juices and lashings of coffee. Was my second time in eight days. If my budget and waistline would allow I would have a cooked breakfast at Ascots every day!
J.Really is 5 star accommodation. Awesome amenities, very pleasant happy staff. Clean spacious unit, bonus of bar and restaurant onsite. Meal also great, gluten free options and believe it or not almost all of their desserts on offer were also gluten free! Will definitely be staying here on our next visit south!

E.The room was nice. The staff were very friendly. The breakfast was nice, but we had ask to have some of the food made to order as it had run out. We were also charged twice for breakfast as the front desk staff booked against our room, as well as the floor staff. This was sorted out quickly, however the receptionist did make a bit of a deal about the other staff, which was slightly embarrassing. Would saty there again.

From the warm welcome I received at the desk and the help over the phone for my large overload parking needed to the service from every staff member I meet I was happily greeted and shown to the dining for a meal very fit for royalty , good proportions of servings and enjoyed it with good beverage . The bed and room was so clean and tidy to very high standards I was very amazed at the detail in the entire complex well done to Ascot and the staff .
A.We needed late notice accommodation due to Air BnB being unsuitable. Ascot showed empathy and understanding of our situation giving our group excellent and affordable accommodation. The services are outstanding and the staff were absolutely fantastic! I couldn’t fault any part of our stay whatsoever. From the restaurant to the gym - it was outstanding. Thank you very much!

P.4 nights One bed apartments were perfect for us, modern clean comfortable. Have to commend the restaurant & bar staff who looked after my group of 6 adults & three small children, great customer service, a credit to the business..Excellent food the whole stay and plenty of choices.
Children’s high chairs need an update, expect this would be done with the progress of the renovation happening within areas of the hotel complex . Lovely gardens created a nice setting , no paths through the gardens though.
Would stay again and recommend to others, services and facilities are really good.

C.Stayed here last night and it was lovely! The unit was so clean, and the gardens are beautifully kept. I asked to be by my friend and they put me next door. The spa pool was awesome and they brought me over some late night room service after 10pm and were really nice about it. The same lovely lady drove me to the airport at 5.15am and again was so nice and cheerful - great service! :)

L.Invercargill was pretty well booked out due to a event in the city. I couldn't be bothered driving 1.5hrs home after cancelled plans, so I managed to find a room at the Ascot. I booked online and turned up less that 30mins later. They still hadn't allocated me a room, but this was done super quick and I was pointed in the direction of my room. I failed to realize how big the Ascot complex is! My Superior Room was located right around the other side of the complex. It was bucketing with rain, but the car parks were across the road from the units. Had to cross the road, up the stairs, through the door and along the corridor. Was soaked by the time I got to my room.
I definitely got the pick of the rooms, located right at the end of the block. This meant the unit had plenty of windows which I love. The room was modern, warm, clean and comfortable. The bathroom had a deep bath, with a shower over it. Again it was clean and functional. I was quite disappointed with the noise. The corridors seriously seem to echo, and it was rather noisey all through the night.
The Ascot is located quite some distance away from the center of Invercargill, but the complex has its own resturant on site, although I opted to drive to town.
All in all it was good night away, and I would stay at the Ascot again. I found the $169 to be pretty good. Staff were friendly, nice comfortable room and a high standard of cleanliness

X.Great service, very nice staff. It seems to be near everything in Invercargill, and the rooms are all very nice, equipped with a fridge, TV, separate sleeping area and spa bath. The staff helped us when we were stuck. Great pool and activities centre. 5 Stars.
A.We got upgraded from a Dbl to a deluxe dbl & then to a 1 bdrm unit..the service o a arriving was great & restaurant/bar service was good. The food we had was nice ..Blue Cod was lovely. Atmosphere in reception bar was good compared to sports bar & the main restaurant we found a bit cold so ate in reception area bar.

Y.We got stuck in Invercargill due to snow and road condition was not best so better take safe side, staying extra night especially with kids having friends here at the same time. They enjoyed playing in the pool, spa so much, especially weather isn't good so really an extra holiday for them. We also had relaxing time too room was clean and warm, walking distance to four square.
T.Very nice setting, cute cabins but poor mattress and bedding. One expects better for nearly $300/night. Very tidy, clean and fresh in the room too.

C.Definitely a good place to stay in while in Invercargill. The staff are nice and friendly, the rooms are numerous, the facilities are adequate (having a pool, restaurant, bar, spa, and fitness area). The rooms are spacious, with sufficient parking space, with cooking features and some rooms even allow interconnecting, for families. The grounds themselves are wide and open, which is great for jogging within the area.
T.Food was very nice. Calamari entree was tender and tasty, and the lamb main was excellent as was the special sirloin steak with blue cod, special mention to our server Marie, she was attentive and very helpful.

Only downside is its interior is aging.. but their renovations so far have been done well.

R.This is the second time we have stayed here. We stayed in the cheaper motel units but even then they were nice any tidy and had everything we needed. The staff here are very friendly. We tried out the pool this time and had a blast. There is a restaurant called Emberz which we didn't go to this time but the previous time we had dinner there and couldn't fault it. Definitely worth considering if you are looking for somewhere to stay in Invercargill.
R.My wife and I have stayed here on a number of occasions and thoroughly enjoyed every minute of our stay. When we go to Invercargill this is where we stay. The rooms are excellent with plenty of room and thier bathrooms are all big enough to swing the "proverbial" cat in. I am a bigger person and all the showers have been big enough to accommodate myself easily. The extraction fans in the bathrooms keep the mirror's clear. A great Queen/King bed allows for a good nights sleep. The use of LED lighting and other modern amenities makes for a very comfortable stay. We have used the Restaurant for breakfast on our last 2 visits and have found the food to be fresh and well presented. The staff also seem to be very proficient at the job and have been welcoming on both occasions. Breakfast is priced very well. If there is one thing to complain about, it is the carpet in the corridors is a little tired, but that is easily compensated for by the hotel spending in the room that you are staying in. The price is also very good for the quality that you are getting. To the Management and the Staff you have a very good facility and should be proud to work there and to promote your hotel

D.Impressive landscaping to create great views from every room. We had a nice dinner outside enjoying lookout on native trees and shrubs. Good size rooms with modern design, and toilets in a separate room from bathtubs is a nice feature.
C.Stayed in a motel unit and just loved it, it's got everything you need and the facilities are clean and modern. Reception is really lovely and the hotel even offers a complimentary shuttle service (Ross, the driver, is very friendly and helpful!). The hotel also has a restaurant, bar, and spa pool. Complimentary WiFi, tea and coffee in rooms.
J.In 2018 a disaster occurred with my underpants. Several bottles of incredibly expensive Kombucha were traveling with my luggage. There’s no need to get into why. But gut health is very important to me. As is the sweet refreshing taste of a mildly tepid glass of fermented tea.
My suitcase, consisting of black tshirts, black jeans, a pretty cool pair of Nike sneakers, and a half dozen pair of sensible mens underpants were devastated when all of the Kombucha bottles exploded in my bag during the flight to Invercargill (due I can only imagine to the extreme pressures the already combustible fizzy liquid faced at high altitude).
Everything stunk. I discovered the carnage on arrival at the Ascot Park Hotel at 11pm. I called reception. Not only were they able to wash all my clothing. But they hung up my stinky, kombucha soiled underpants in their reception office, next to their heat pump to dry them over night.
I can only imagine what that must have smelt like.
I never properly conveyed the level of gratitude I have for the staff at the APH. They are incredible, lovely, helpful, thoughtful, genuine people that I will forever be indebted to.
*Also. Sorry about putting shower gel in the Spa bath with the jets on while I was eating a toasted cheese sandwich, watching Netflix…. filling the entire bathroom with bubbles and crumbs.

T.We stayed in the 1 bedroom apartment. Room was very comfortable, modern, and up-to-date. Staff are lovely and very helpful. Has pool, spa, sauna, and gym (and restaurants and bars if required). Easy parking.

N.I always choose to stay here when I travel to Invercargill for work. After a long day it's good to be staying somewhere that has a good restaurant so you can eat and then head to your room. Their room service is also good. I also feel very safe here, which is important to me.

T.The ascot Park Hotel hosts the Invercargill chess clubs January rapid tournament and provides a quiet, safe, and clean environment. It also provides catering! Highly recommended for hosting functions and events. It also has a restaurant and bar and the staff services are outstanding

I have no complaints whatsoever. Meal and service was excellent. Out of 5 stars it was 8. Entertainnent was out of this world. We certainly got more than we ever thought possible in such a short space of time. Out of 5 stars it was an 8+ ILT Ascot Park you did yourselves proud.
