B.We stayed one night here and regretted we couldn't stay longer! On arrival I'd asked for a studio unit and the super friendly manager upgraded us to a one bedroom unit. The room was absolutely amazing, so spacious and with a very luxurious kitchen. The bed was very comfortable and everything was spotlessly clean. Next time we'll definitely stay longer, Invercargill has more to offer than we expected!

T.Fantastic property and the location is close to most eateries and places of interest. It does get a bit noisy at night being right next to the main road with heavy trucks passing by. The rooms are a bit dated but not too bad for the price. Free wifi and safe parking are big wins if you're road tripping. Book in advance if you want the best rates and don't hesitate to contact the front desk before you book, they may just offer you a better deal than what you see online. Oh and did i mention ? All guests get welcomed with a bunch of cookies and a bottle of milk!

R.This place is huge, roomy and impeccably clean. 2 levels with 2 tv's. Fully equipped kitchen. Massive bathroom w towel warmer. Complimentary washer w 1$ dryer on site. Location is right downtown.

A.Excellent place to stay. Clean, spacious and even has a laundry for guests to use which was an added bonus.
S.Stayed here a couple of times over the years, most recently in 2017. Some rooms are very old & need renovation some are also quite new, but all are comfortable. It's close to town but being on the main drive in you cop lots of road noise, starting very in the morning. Great helpful staff, facilities are good.
Z.Very spacious. I love the privacy and it suits me well because I need to write report after work. The room I had was quite secluded because upon entrance to the motel area you cannot immediately see it. What surprise me though is the fact that they put single and queen size bed at the mezzanine floor. They provide 50 TV channels.
E.Our room was a little dated and needed deodorising for some cooking smells. The decor and bathrooms are a bit dated, but are clean & tidy.

A.Spacious, well set up motel unit. Clean and tidy. Helpful staff. Close to city centre. Recommended.
M.Could not fault the service or what was available in our room. Staff were friendly and helpful. We had plenty of room to move, plenty of towels, beds for six although there was only two of us, an oven, fridge, microwave, crockery, cutlery and cookware, table and chairs, lounge and a TV in living area and both bedrooms. Good choice of tea/coffee. Delicious and fresh complimentary biscuits. Heating was good as the first night was cold. We had access to a free washing machine and coin operated industrial size dryer which we utilized and a clothesline or drying rack. The garden was nice and we were delighted to see bumble bees buzzing amongst the flowers. On the negative side, the suite is getting on the aged and dated side of things with mould beginning to get in the seams of the easy wash walls in the bathroom as it starts to pull away with age. The toilet bowl was cracked at the top and there is damage around the lower part of the shower. Cupboards have succumbed to moisture on lower edges in bathroom and sink is scratched around plug hole. Shower curtain, although clean, is unusual in a motel in this day and age. The mechanism for rolling the kitchen blind up and down is almost completely worn out with the plastic notches on the cable having started perishing and disintegrating with each use. The wifi signal was good and we were able to contact family. Would we stay here again? Definitely, yes.

T.We stayed here for a couple of nights and were very impressed with everything. We were surprised at how quiet the room was, (except for the noisy extraction fan in bathroom) considering the motel was on a main road. Facilities could not be faulted. Very good value for the money.
T.I have been staying at this motel on and off since 2007 and it is without a doubt the best accommodation for the price in Invercargill. The breakfast arrived on time and was great. All room areas were a generous size and contained all the amenities that you would need. ***agement was very friendly and informative.

M.Always reliable, tidy and warm. Friendly and helpful staff, good laundry facilities and handy to central Invercargill, the swimming pool, pharmacy and supermarket.
T.I booked to stay, as the rating for this place was high. The staff were really helpful and let us leave our luggage whilst we went to Stewart Island. The room was large ( double and single bed) with a kitchenette at the rear and a partitioned bathroom and toilet.
E.Lovely clean rooms chalet-style. Again, as in most of NZ motels, you have to get WiFi password from reception (in case of late check-in it's impossible), and data allowance is limited by 1 GB per 7 days across 3 devices. Kitchen sink and taps were leaking water all over the counter top (room 14). If you're allergic to cats - beware; if a cat lover - rejoice (refer to photos).
L.Excellent place to stay, clean spacious rooms, comfortable bed and friendly staff who go the extra mile for you. Milk is supplied with a 2 pack of biscuits and free wifi, plus you are close to town and restaurants.
Y.Pretty decent, went there with kids, enjoyed two story house, very spacy and neat kitchen. convenient location to go supermarket and other food place and very reasonable price considering how comfortable our stay was there.
T.We had an awesome time staying in Invercargill and the accommadation was great. We had a quit room, clean and with all the facilities we need for an overnight stop. Value for money was excellent. The frontdesk lady was very friendly and gave good visiting advise in and around Invercargill.
T.The Balmoral Lodge was a warm, cosy and relaxing retreat in Invercargill on a weather beaten weekend. We enjoyed our time here and the value for money for a family on a budget was excellent. There was a group of construction workers or so that partied through the night. Friendly staff and quite location.

Ein schönes Motel am Rande der Bikerstadt Invercargill an der Hauptstraße gelegen. Das Zimmer war sehr gut eingerichtet. Im Winter sollte es auch schön warm sein, da das Zimmer richtige Heizung hat.
Der Preis ist zwar hoch, aber das sind alle hier in Neuseeland.

Hodně dobré ubytování za velmi dobrou cenu. Vybavení apartmánu je na velice dobré úrovni, apartmán je prostorný a v pohodě v něm mohou bydlet i až čtyři hosté, aniž by si nějak moc překáželi.
Také umístění motelu je fajn, motel se nachází vpohodlné docházkové vzdálenosti od centra města.
Určitě doporučuji! 😎🐧
