An big shout out to Trevor,Nikki and the team.. Had an awesome stay and well looked after by all.. Even got upgraded for free so my grandkids could stay every night Would definitely recommend this place Brendon Grennell

Such a lovely place!!! The room was so nice and tidy everything felt super clean. Amazing bathroom and kitchen and having sky tv channels was a bonus! The staff were super responsive and helpful. Would 100% stay here again.

I've given all 5 stars because it met my expectations for a motel. We arrived late and the owners kindly left our door open which was convenient to us. Room and facilities were clean and comfortable. Handy location for Invercargill airport the following morning. Exactly what you would want and expect a motel to be. The only thing that wasn't great was the plunger, but the fact there was fresh coffee was a bonus so all good really!

Nice rooms with a full kitchen, stove, microwave, fridge, and kettle. There's a jet bath as well. Great service. It's quiet, I didn't need earplugs, but not super dark, so bring an eye mask if you're sensitive to that.

Awesome stay, Rooms are nice and spacious and the unit was super clean, nothing was a problem to the staff and owners. 5 minutes from the city far enough to be out of the hustle and bustle of traffic will stay again. Gilly

The owners were very kind and accommodating and the room was quite large and very clean. We loved staying here on our trek across the South island. I wish we could have stayed more than one night!

A wonderful place to stay! Amazing service, both Sue & Clark were down to earth and extremely helpful. A lovely room to relax in, rooms were spacious and everything was spotless. Had everything we could need for our stay! Highly recommend staying here, will certainly be back on our next trip down!

Loved it here. Not flashy, but a decent size room, clean, good bed, adequately appointed and a hot shower even for late risers. Also my Poodle was welcome which was awesome

Very spacious and well serviced room. Roomy and very helpful staff. Shower mixer was testy but got it in the end. Great amount of parking. Recommend to anyone.

Very clean and neat. Lady at reception was very friendly and helpful. Guest information said to dial for reception but no phone in room. No cooked breakfast although information said that is available to order. One man doing breakfast only. Continental breakfast was available. There was The grill just around the corner if you wanted a cooked breakfast which was good.

Absolutely spotless, everything was perfect including the laundry which can be a let down in a lot of motels. The staff were polite and helpful, you will definitely enjoy your stay here. I highly recommend this motel.

Nice comfy and well appointed rooms. Quite spacious for the price. Close to the City Centre, gas station and a very popular Chinese takeaway. There is an enclosed forecourt for kids to play. Plenty of parking. Coming from Wellington every feels spacious in Invercargill. Drive down to bluff for some fresh caught oysters. The more adventurous can go off to the Strwart Island by Ferry or Flight. Be aware of frequently choppy seas

It's a nice enough and cosy enough place to stay, very clean and tidy. The only issue I have with this place, and hopefully it's just this room, the water mixer in the shower isn't very good. Water is too low pressured. Otherwise is a good place to chill out

Our MX5 & convertible car club from South Canterbury, Timaru, Geraldine, Temuka, visited in 2013 & stayed 3 nights. The hospitality was very friendly, the rooms were spotless and clean. Absolute pleasure to stay. RSA only a 10 minute walk, the meals were delish-ious! Everyone enjoyed their stay Thank you.

Booked for 3 nights with a group of 28 friends, took the money then double booked room every night. Got offered fold out bed, & a bed in spa suite with terrible springs. Check your bookings- he refused any responsibility for double dipping. Lucky we had good mates who helped us out

It was clean and tidy, it even had clock radio, the radio goes for the people who sleep with the radio on like me, had spa bath which was good, slow filling, body massage jet bath. Was a nice quiet spot near the north entrance of Invercargill

Absolutely Amazing Hosts. Clark and Sue. They both really make you feel so welcome Located 15minutes walk to town, takeaways, Mitre10 mega etc Petrol station 5mins up the road and shopping centre The rooms are all lovely, modern and spotless. The spa and sauna are added bonuses. Clark and Sue really do make you feel welcome, it's your home away from home. Can praise Monarch Motel and the Team enough.

Friendly service but firstly disappointed as had booked as motel states access to spa bath, suana and ice bath, which upon wanting to access was unavailable for timeframe we visited! The walls are paper thin and you can hear your neighbours answering/talking on their phone's, not cool when trying to sleep. Very basic rooms, comfortable but beds to hard for me and only one couch that was old, not easy to relax in if you not family, which we were co workers. Well kept with changing of towells etc, was close to the Ilt stadium that our conference was at, positives. Overall abit disappointed though, sorry guys.

Stayed: November 2017, travelled with family Unexpected stop in Invercargill our trip plan changed and we had to spend a night in Invercargill. look at Internet qe found this place. went to there . the guy in the reception was very nice and friendly. nice stay. place is pretty close of big supermarkets. Staff here very friendly, was given a room upstairs which us very hard taking a suitcase up narrow small stairs. Room clean and tidy but very dated and the light outside made the room very light and hard to sleep.

Motel quite adequate for 'overnighters' . Comfy bed but oh the noisy electric jug.It blots out the TV. An easy fix,cut an unpealed lemon in half and boil it in half jug of water (twice, gets better with more boilings).
