I had a fantastic stay at BKs Premier Esplanade! The rooms are incredibly comfortable, featuring a smart TV and a lovely spa in the bathroom. The location is perfect, right in front of the beach with amazing views, and there's plenty of parking available. The hosts were very friendly and welcoming. I stayed for a week and was impressed by the daily room cleaning service, which made my stay even more enjoyable. I’d love to stay here every time I visit Wellington. Highly recommended!

BKs Premier Motel is located right on The Esplanade in Petone. It is one crazy busy road, especially at Rush Hour times. Unfortunately, my room was on the ground floor, facing the road and the Harbour. While this offered a decent view down the Harbour and out to Cook Strait, it did mean the Road Noise was quite noticeable.
Plenty of on-site parking at the Motel, with easy access from a side street. Friendly welcome from the Lady at Reception. She gave excellent directions to my room, and also information about accessing the building overnight. This Motel is more set up like a Hotel, than a traditional Motel. Rooms are accessed from a Central Hallway on both floors, meaning you have to pass through Reception each time you come and go.
The room itself was nicely set up. Decent Kitchenette, and with a proper bottle of milk in the fridge! None of that UHT rubbish here!
It was freezing in the room when I arrived, however the Heatpump definitely did a good job at heating up the space quickly. Large wall mounted TV, with two Lazyboy type Recliners perched in front of the bed. There is no Sky Decoder that offers the whole range of Channels, like many other Motels have. But there is a Smart TV with Casting available.
Bed was very comfortable. With decent quality, and spotlessly clean linen. Bathroom was quite tight, with a large corner spa taking up most of it.
I usually detest staying on ground floor units, as being a light sleeper, people walking around on the floor above keeps me awake. Unfortunately, this was the last room available, so I had little option. I was pleasantly surprised. Not one bit of noise from the floor above. Absolute silence on that front. Also no noise from the Hallway, no doors banging shut, or people congregating.
Petone itself is only a short drive away, with plenty of eating options and supermarkets. Plenty of places also deliver meals to the Motel.
BKs Premier Motel is a brilliant place to spend a night. It was rather nice not staying in Central Wellington. The price was a little on the high side, but not by much.
So definitely recommend this Motel as a place to stay. Friendly Service, Spotlessly clean rooms, comfortable and well appointed.

Double glazing meant no road noise in room at all. Great bed and room facilities. Two big lazy boy chairs to watch very large screen TV. No breakfast available at time, but an easy walk to Jackson Street cafes.

N.We have stayed here many times and we met the new managers last week and they are a breath of fresh air, so friendly and professional, we have never seen this motel as busy as it was, they were fully booked for the 4 days we stayed, these guys obviously know what they are doing.
They have put on heaps of new bedding in all the rooms which made our stay more comfortable.
BKs esplanade is the place to go to in Wellington.
The price was very good for what you get, cannot wait to go back.

M. D.Late check in are most welcome here! Yey! The person in the reception are is very accommodating which you absolutely needed when you are travelling to another town. Our room is clean and the right size for a family of 3. There is a small fridge just enough to cool our drinks. Our queen bed made our little one sleep like a log and for 11 hours too! 😴 Wifi is unlimited and there is also a TV. Our highlight for our stay here is the spa! I always like a good spa and it didn't disappoint me! Will definitely come back here!

J.We stayed for two nights last week, really impressed with the clean, spacious room, spa bath was lovely, the hosts were friendly and welcoming, the view from our second floor room over the esplanade was beautiful - especially at night with the lights of the harbour and the ferry, great to have a couple of La-z-boy chairs in the room instead of having to watch tv from the bed, Motel is situated very close to Petone shops, I was worried about the traffic noise but the double glazing certainly keeps that to a minimum, all in all a great stay and I have no hesitation in posting my recommendation. B.We had a ground floor studio unit with a small area out the front where you could sit and admire the view across the water to Wellington. There is a bit of traffic as its a main road, once doors are shut it was quiet.||The room and bed was comfortable however we found it a bit small and cramped with the lounge chairs at the bottom of the bed then the desk right in front of the chairs. ||The bathroom was modern and had a little trolley to put your personal things on.||Kitchenette was very small, a little awkward making just toast and tea in the morning.||Very clean and staff were very friendly, parking was free and in a good location.

The place it self in nice in a nice location good view, spa bath was.awesome. but the customer service is shocking... likely seriously customer service is such an easy job but they seemed to struggle and be rude and look very disguisted at me and my friend... like you try drive for 17hours straight, then on the ferry with a stomach bug of course we are going to not look flattering. Just be nice say hello and thanks. Its not that difficult.

From the balcony you'll enjoy glorious views at dawn and dusk when Apollo rides his chariot across the sky. Or walk out the door straight onto the beach to take a stroll down the Esplanade, or scoot or bike along its well-paved pathways which have been designed with your leisure in mind. These tracks will take you a long way, right past the Water-Skiing Club-house at one end, and past the Table-Tennis Club at the Seaview-end, with non-stop, fabulous, ocean views.
As for dining options, BKPME is close to Jackson St. where you will find a wide choice of different cuisines ranging from Thai, Chinese, Vietnamese to Indian, etc. And there is no shortage of watering-holes and fast-food joints within a handy distance. Whether you're dining in or out, meals and entertainment will be within easy reach. All this at a reasonable price.
