Great position. Older motel recently painted. Very clean. However motel 8 was set up for 7 people which meant double bed was against the wall making it difficult to get out of for oldies. Single bed other side to double made it difficult to move double from wall. Lounge had 2 single beds which you had to sit on to watch TV. Too wide, very uncomfortable and single chair ricketie. OK for families but really not for oldies. However it was well provided with necessities and best placed on harbour in Mt Mauganui with lovely views across the road.

Friendly hosts, very helpful and observed excellent hygiene and covid protocols, awesome location

Our huge music group (41 students and 4 teachers) fit perfectly into Westhaven Motel. The rooms were spacious and clean with a fridge, cooking facilities, plenty of kitchenware. The beds were comfortable and well laid out. At night (once the students went to bed) it was very quiet and it was lovely to hear the waves along the shore. Debbie was a fabulous host and made sure we had everything we needed for an amazing stay. We will certainly be back next time we are in the Bay of Plenty.

Cannot rave enough about this place. Absolutely amazing. Debbie you are a rock star. Our pooch (XL Mastiff Great Dane X) made so welcome as we were. Cleaner than a clean thing on a clean day!!! Thank you oh so much for your fabulous hospitality...

Old motel, but being clean and fresh when we opened the door was a great experience. Friendly and helpful staff. Dog friendly was the reason we chose this place, but really recommend to anyone.

Everything was great, from the moment we arrived with our dog, Skip. Debbie was the “hostess with the mostess” So convenient and comfortable.

I had the pleasure of staying a night here and was very impressed with the overall stay. Our Unit was immaculately clean, contained everything you need and more. It was very quiet, handy to everything and our hosts were some of the nicest people I've met. They were very welcoming helpful and informative. Definitely somewhere I'd stay again.

Outstanding service. Incredibly friendly and nothing was a problem. Welcomed our dog too!. Rooms clean and friendly. General wear and tear, but really tidy and fresh. Very 70's! Close to the main street, full of cafes and shops, walking distance to the Maunga & hot pools. Literally across the road from Pilots Bay. Beautiful evening walks, watch the cruise liners come into port.. Just cant beat a family business that have generations living there, and still passionate about caring for their guests. Highly recommend!

Great dog friendly accomodation in an ideal location. Debbie was a pleasure to deal with and nothing was ever a problem! Would highly recommend staying here and the service from Debbie!!

Staff made you feel welcome as soon as you walked into reception. Across the road calm side of the Mount great for early morning swim. Family suite was very clean. Here only one night but wish could have stayed longer next time for sure .

Spacious room. Clean & comfortable. Lovely view across to the water & port. Great for short stays.

Very friendly service. Great that its pet friendly. Our two dogs enjoyed there stay. Bed was comfortable. View was unbeatable. Appliances works fine. Great shower. The motel is old but comfortable. Beware the front units at ground level are noisey. We were warned but the loo seamed to be right above our bedroom and whoever was upstairs obviously had diarrhoea as the noise of the flushing seemed to be going on all night and was very noisey. Earplugs are needed

We had a very warm welcome from Debbie after a stressful day, fantastic views, very clean & comfortable accommodation. Wish we were able to stay longer but we will be back.

Best motel I have stayed in. Clean, well equipped and wonderful location. Rates very affordable. Pets welcome. Welcoming , friendly and obliging young couple managing place. Excellent cleaners with friendly and helpful demeanours. We loved our stay. Want to return.

Absolutely brilliant! Visited with my son and grandsons. Weather appalling but the hosts were wonderful. Unit was exceptionally clean and had all one could want. A super rest - even with the dramas of the wind storm. No question - my favorite place to stay in New Zealand.- definitely will be back.

I wasn't staying at Westhaven Motel, but at Mammam, not sure how to spell it. It was a nice place, with all imentities in it, except for food.

Relaxed, friendly, absolutely spotless with the whitest fluffy towels. An older motel, but would highly recommend.

Cleanest place I have ever stayed at and absolutely wonderful host. Plan on going back for a month stay during a New Zealand winter. We love this motel everything you need they have it!!!

Second time ive stayed here. Very nice people who manage motel, very helpful. So close to beach, shops etc. Big clean rooms too.

Nice clean units. For the price they are larger than the posh ones. Our dog was welcomed also. Will be back for a longer visit

Beautiful IMMACULATE Motel with the Best Views of the Port an Lovely Host So accommodating arrived 9am was able to check into our room 30mins later so appreciate the effort made to get our room ready we were able to unpack an get ourselves ready for our wakaama race start line opposite our Motel So Awesm.Thankyou so much so enjoyed our short stay I Highly recommend The Westhaven Motel as thee place to Stay Look Forward to our nxt visit.

Economical, across the street to the beach, near to the Mount Monganui shops, restaurants and bars, excellent heated swimming pool walking distance, off street parking , clean and spacious units and friendly efficient management and staff been there a few times and this is constant.
