M.Stayed here for one night and it certainly has it's positives. The rooms are clean and spacious, and there is a spa pool. The Internet is not a great connection though, so if you need that, you might want to look elsewhere. Check-in and check-out were really easy and there is free parking. Close enough to the city (less than 10 minutes).

C.Only stayed here one night and was a first time. Enjoyed the stay, the lady behind the desk was helpful and nice. Unfortunately someone had smoked in room 23 and I made it awear to here so there is a minor smell in there but bed was comfortable and was a pleasant room. Will stay there again without a doubt

Nice, clean tidy unit, good pricing, friendly.
Parked the truck right across the road, abit of road noise being on main rd but nothing that will keep you awake.
If back this way will be my first choice.

R.This is fantastic plenty of room multipurpose for sporting celebration and other occasions well catered for visited the gym to watch people starting their rehab post surgery. Very well run. The cafe was tempting with aroma coming from there. Had to be strong and keep on walking

C.The albatross is clean, friendly and well maintained, but it’s just old and in need of a complete refurbishment. Everything is in need of replacement, floors creak and zero sound insulation in the two storey units, front windows have zero sound proofing from the roads etc. Its not a bad motel but it’s seen better days.
S.Great accommodation. Close to beach, airport and not far from the city. Great hot water, excellent water pressure in the shower. Nice kitcenette. Friendly management. Good parking.

D.Reflecting on our stay here over the past 4 nights, we have had an absolutely wonderful experience at The Albatross Motel. The hospitality is impeccable! The staff are delightful, providing exceptional friendly service - this type of kindness is a true rarity. The room was super comfortable and the beds were to die for; we craved returning each night to rest on these heavenly clouds. We managed to figure out the shower (with the help of the amazing Lisa) and it also helps to utilise one’s reading skills taking note of the tips in the room compendium - that folder has remarkable and essential information.
The spa and pool were perfect additions and if we had more time we would have lived in there longer.
Last, but certainly not least, Raechel stole our daughter’s heart through the care she put into making us feel welcome. Each day we would return to a spotless room, not a room that has just had the usual clean, but a tremendous amount of care and effort was taken to ensure everything was in place and to an elite standard. We purposely left the beds unmade and clear of belongings because Bryleigh loved how comfy Raechel made the beds; even though it made us feel utterly lazy. The towels were immaculately folded and all items were replaced and reset perfectly. The ambiance of the room was open warm and welcoming. The most amazing heart lifting moment was returning to a room set up with such precise beautiful presentation just to thank Bryleigh for her kindness in showing appreciation to Raechel and the staff. I cannot express how our hearts felt walking into the room and seeing how much a kind thank you really does shine through and lift everyone’s spirits. We will forever hold on to these memories and Bryleigh has already placed her note from Raechel in her keepsake journal.
We are saddened to be leaving but know that when we return to Napier this is home away from home. Thank you to all the amazing people we have encountered here at The Albatross Motel. Raechel, Lisa, Glenys, Gary and the remaining staff you are very much appreciated and will be warmly remembered. We wish you all the very best and look forward to our next visit. P.Really friendly and pleasant office guy and lady. Very clean and comfortable 1bedroom family unit. Great and quiet heater, comfortable beds, plenty of towels and soaps in modern wet floor shower. I'd recommend hand rails in the shower for us less agile people. Nice modern television perfectly mounted to view in all seating areas. The less attractive points are some traffic noise if a truck goes past and no harbor or ocean view from our room. I'd return and recommend the Albatross Motel

We enjoyed our stay here in the very comfortable rooms. Friendly staff make for a great first impression the rooms are tidy clean and the location is great it's out of the main hub but close enough that a 2min drive takes you tall the main city center. The pools are clean there is Sky TV (and not the basic version either which is nice) they have free WiFi. We highly recommend this place will be back for sure.

K.Stayed March 2019 in unit 1. Shower head fell off. We had a busy weekend lined up. Thought the cleaning staff would note and fix this - and fill the shower gel container. Not done.
Pool heavily chlorinated and not open until 9am when Manager appeared (cleaning staff were waiting since 8.30am). No towels in basket by spa pool. Spa very average.
Poor value for money at $180/night.
R.Wow it’s a quaint Hotel, The owners are wonderful and so delightful; they are caring to the guests , even to the point where they even walk you to your room. I’ve been to many a hotels in my life time and this is the first hotel that caters for guests who actually don’t drink coffee or tea, they had hot choc which was yum as well. A great place, and I know I’ll be coming back here when I visit again that’s for damn sure.... cheers ; Don’t forget a Friendly smile and Awesome customer service ....
T.Really enjoyed our stay. Room was super clean and comfy. Affordable and very much suited our family of 4. Easy commute to central Napier. Would stay again if returned to area.
J.The location view is so amazing..(specially from the first floor). Rooms are bit smaller but not uncomfortable 😊. Also, has a swimming pool available from morning until 8 pm. Plenty of car parking space. 5 mins drive to the city and the Cricket stadium.
A.We enjoyed our two night stay at Albatross. The room was quite small but adequate. The sky channels were great as we were also following the tennis. The wifi was in and out. The location was excellent as it was a pleasant walk around to Ahuriri.
O.My partner and I decided to come to Napier last minute and was struggling finding accommodation, the couple here are super lovely and helpful. We have both enjoyed our trip here including the pool and spa would definitely recommend staying here if you like to relax
T.Really clean tiday rooms, friendly staff and amazing food at their onsite restaurant. Truckie size meals massive! Has pool, spa and laundry facilities as well. Can't fault it. Better than the motels you pay top dollar for along the beach front in Napier township. Has a nice walk across the road and short distance from funky restaurants and bars.

O.We stayed at the Albatross for 4 nights and had a really enjoyable stay. The rooms were clean, comfortable and had all the essentials. The motel utilities (pool, spa etc) were excellent and in everything was in working order.
The service however is the real highlight of the Albatross. Staff were attentive, friendly, and helpful at every interaction. They always went above and beyond our expectations.
Thank you to the Staff and Owners of Albatross Motel. We will definitely be recommending you to others.
The only thing that we would suggest to improve was the wifi access, it was very difficult to steam anything as the internet ‘cut out’ every 20 or so minutes.

Great swimming pool and spa excellent beds slept really well ( and I normally don't) and no traffic noise .

R.I was put up at the Albatross by Jetstar due to cancelled flight, it was last minute and close to mid night, however the moteliers couldn't have been more hospitable, and the room was very clean and tidy and had a good feel about it. I would have no hesitation recommending it to travellers
