D.I stay here every six weeks when I am through with work.
Staff are great and the rooms are well appointment and very comfy.
Happily recommend going down to the Irish Rose for a drink which is owned by the same group.
Around 5 mins walk from the main shopping area and great cafes..
D.Central, quality, quality restaurant attached with good menu. Just a couple of "cleanliness" issues noted... body hair evident in shower, glassware looking "grubby"... but otherwise a comfortable quality experience for the night.

D.Stayed overnight at Expressotel as part of a work trip and I loved it!
Check in was a breeze and the lady on the desk was fantastic and very helpful and very friendly. Parking (if you have a car) is beside the hotel and is limited BUT they will pay for parking across the road in the parking building.
My room was upstairs but easily accessible by the elevator or by the stairs.
The room was small but perfect for my needs. Bed was comfy. Aircon was perfect. Shower was fantastic 👏 and the town centre was a very short walk away.
After hours (from 7PM) to the hotel is a breeze and accessible by the green door to the side but all is explained to you on arrival.
I'm coming back here again.
B.We stayed 2 nights and loved it. The staff were happy and accommodating. I especially liked the fanned towels in the bathroom. That was clever because its all about presentation! Great view at the square whilst drinking coffee...bliss!
M.Location was excellent and close (easy walking distance) to everything in the city. Found the rooms to be clean, modern and comfortable and our corner room was well positioned for the afternoon sunshine. Great accommodating hosts and the parking suited us perfectly.

P.Clean, well-presented rooms. Windows aren't double-glazed so street noise was audible. The bathroom was on the cozy side. Facilities are a little the worse for wear - sink didn't drain well and the bathroom door's coat hooks were coming away. Staff were fabulous.
O.Good place to stay. Clean room and very well furnished. Though situated in the center of the town, I had a comfortable and undisturbed sleep. Beds are well made and very cosy. Had to park across the street as parking was not available. So had to drag my suitcase across the road. The hotel was happy to pay for the parking though. Over all a very good experience.

r.The hotel is clean, and location is superb.
However, I would expect basic amenities to be provided by a 4- star hotel, such as toothbrush toothpaste, room slippers, and shower cap. Unsure if this is not a practise in New Zealand. However, based on my experience in other countries, 4-star hotel will provide such basic amenities.
A.This is a fine hotel, you won't be unhappy staying here. But ultimately, its budget nature shines through. The walls are kinda thin so you hear doors slamming, the beds are ok, the water pressure is weak and when we tried to check out the elevator was broken.
But, the hotel looks nice, is clean, has a great bathroom, lots of parking. For the price, I'd definitely recommend!

W.In town for work and got a nicely appointed room. Modern bathroom and spotless. On back of hotel so is quiet atm. New aircon and can adjust temp and settings myself. Impressed. Short walk to lots of eateries, shopping and water front. Happy with that for an overnight option...would use for a weekend away. On fab art deco street.

D.The hotel was quiet and beautiful to stay in. Very simple and well set out, very clean. The lady on reception was very helpful and suggested her favorite cafe for breakfast, which was amazing also. All staff that we spoke to were super friendly and just made for a wonderful stay.

S.Nice, clean, very central hotel. Mum and I recently stayed for 3 nights and would like to thank the lovely housekeeping staff especially Trina and the receptionist Yvonne for making our stay that much nicer. A friendly 'smile" or a 'little extra service' can make a huge difference. Thank you will come again
D.Great, central location. Good size, clean rooms. Lovely reception staff. The really only down side was that the walls were thin, and windows not double-glazed, so traffic noise kept us awake or woke us up, unless we slept with earplugs. Also the current construction is noisy after 8am during the week. Also, you can plainly hear people in the corridor outside the room, and from other rooms, which woke us up at ungodly hours, but better when we used earplugs
K.Well positioned, bed was comfy, the shower though was not good! The temperature went from extremely hot to cool, continually whilst showering OSH hazard please fix this. Room 203 thanks
P.We stayed at the expressotel in Napier for three nights in a room overlooking Clive Square. It was a lovely smaller scale hotel with friendly staff
The one thing l did miss here was decent plunger coffee in our room. There was only instant coffee. It would be a nice touch to add a plunger with decent coffee.
J.We had a lovely stay, room was great, great location close to town, easy parking. We want to say a special thanks to the lovely Yvonne at reception for making our weekend away possible.
H.Mixed front desk staff quality - the older lady was friendly and helpful, the others could not even be bothered to look up as you walked in the door. The room was clean, but a lot of repairs needed (for instance, the closet door handle was falling off, the window curtain was ripped). Limited parking at the back.
K.Clean, comfortable, great friendly staff. Excellent location, only 2 minutes form the promenade. Only complaint was that they are still using tiny plastic bottles! It's 2018, time to watch our plastic use - large volume dispenser on the wall from a larger refill bottle please!

J.Clean, friendly staff and in the town centre. Great basic, contemporary styled hotel. In room air conditioning unit and windows that open with secure stays so we could enjoy the cooler breeze in the evening and turn the air con on as needed. Room rates reasonable. A microwave in the room would have been ideal (travelling with little one, it helps to be able to heat up meals and sterilse bottles) but these are available in the suites (we had a family room) and the website states clearly what is in each room so we just made plans accordingly. Would stay again.
V.Air-conditioned, spacious, comfortable & friendly, would about sum up our experience of this venue.
The desk staff were very obliging & helpful.
I would have liked a breakfast option, but we organised our own, instead.
Carparking is squitty & very limited at the actual location, but just across the road is a good public carpark that your hotel pays for.
Within the inner city, this is a good stay if doing the Art Deco weekend. Within cooee, across the nice little park, is a really stunning pizzeria (get the salmon pizza, it's just the best), a supermarket, an agreeable little Mexican cafe...& all the Deco shops & events are within 4 blocks.
A pleasant experience.
B.Had dinner at the restaurant and it was excellent. I recommend the feta salad and pepperoni pizza. A personal favourite.
Glad to see the hotel in good shape to, went the there sometime a go but this time has been great so far.

J.It was really well located and was clean and spacious. On the down side, the hot water was patchy, there was a building site right outside the window, which we had not been warned about until we arrived and the front door did not work
N.We stayed here in room 215 for 5 nights. Quite spacious kitchenette/lounge with separate bedroom. Several postives about this place was a welcoming reception on arrival and hotel staff were helpful and friendly throughout our stay. Loved that they had a luggage trolley. Central location to shops and restaurants etc. Free Wifi. Negatives were limited PARKING. NO SKY channels. Kitchenette needs microwave bowls, jug etc. maybe an electric fry pan. Otherwise it was a relaxing stay.

N.Good clean hotel and no fuss, managed to work around all of our requests without an issue, esp. with 2 kids under 4! But hotel staff were helpful and happy, great to see - especially compared to other accommodation in more expensive options in Taupo, worlds apart and Expressotel came out on top every time!

M.Found it with help from their more expensive hotel partner. It was Tuesday 6 March and Napier was almost at full capacity. Was a case of having to take what we could get without spending the kids inheritance!

Et pour le prix c'est à la hauteur de la qualité de la chambre. Par contre pas de petit déjeuner,ni déjeuner et pas de dîner.
