C.Yeah I get all the negative comments here. But we had most memorable experience at this basic motel. Yes the owner wasn’t friendliest and the rooms were a bit outdated but it resembled my childhood home and it just was a fun part of our road trip. It was clean and tidy for what we paid. And the owner was nice enough when I said good bye thanks!
C.Pleasant enough room quiet. Maintenance is a bit lacking and bed was in desperate need of a new mattress as we experienced roll together badly but I guess when you pay a lower price for a room this is what you can expect. We have paid more and slept in worse so it was OK overall
C.This lovely old motel is exactly as advertised. Although it is situated right on a busy thoroughfare, it was surprisingly quiet and peaceful. Our unit was very clean and well equipped and had everything needed for an overnight stay. The beds were comfortable and warm with ample extra bedding if required. Our hosts were friendly and well informed.

A.We greatly enjoyed our stay at the Spanish Lady. The hosts made us feel very welcome and nothing seemed too much trouble - much appreciated when you are travelling with children! The motel is tastefully decorated, comfortable and very clean - everything you need in a home away from home. The hosts have a good knowledge of the area, and were able to suggest suitable outings for us (when we managed drag the children away from the gorgeous pool!). Can't wait to visit again.
M.This motel is made fabulous by the owners. Our group (University of Auckland Wine Science) has been returning here for a few years. I'm glad the boss decided on this motel...totally sweet. Main fault: the toilet paper is sub-standard. Great place, basic, I'd gladly return. I didn't see the bill but I gather it's rather reasonable.
B.Relatively cramped room (I would say 5 people absolute maximum), but well maintained. Free wifi is good. Outside (pool area and mini playground) wasn't particularly great, but good for a swim on a sunny day.
A.exterior needs fresh coat of paint, pool included. inside is dated but it was cozy, comfy, clean and tidy. some chattels need replacing or fixing but overall experience was quite pleasant.
C.Spotlessly clean, albeit a little tired. Lovely comfortable bed and well equipped little apartment. The staff are wonderful and go above and beyond too. Would recommend!
R.Friendly, 1960's style. Clean. Roomy, good shower. Beds comfortable. Needs a lot of renovation work but convenient and affordable.
F.The room we stayed in has been done up, very nice home away from home, swimming pool needed attention, spa water smelt funky, but the kids enjoyed the pool and spa, guy running the place needed help testing the water with the testers and reading what the pool was lacking, also he could have been alil nicer to me when I arrived.
d.Nice and clean . Just make sure when u book on line make sure u get wat u asked for . I booked a room with double bed but got 2 single small beds instead.
C.Super clean and affordable. 5 minute drive to city centre. They have Sky TV, a swimming pool and spa. Would definitely recommend it for a night's stay.

P.Comfortable rooms $2 to use washing machine which was reasonable. Parking out front and close by to new world supermarket and some restaurants and shops.
