M.Nice little cozy place 2 min from the beach and very close to the center.
Very clean, owner puts a lot of effort in it to keep it all clean thank you for that!
Very comfortable bed, room was very clean. And very warm I came in winter. Wide showers! Could dress on really easy.

M.The manager is very hands on and committed to creating a clean/comfortable environment. The place is cozy and has a nice feel. My dorm bed was a double with a nice mattress, which I quite enjoyed. On the negative side, there was only one outlet in the room. Also, I was charged for the full price of the stay on my listed international card, before check-in opened on my day of arrival (despite HostelWorld stating, 'pay on arrival'). Would stay here again.
P.A pretty good stay.. the beds were comfortable with sheets which was a nice touch and the shower was the best I have used! However it might have been nice to have a wall socket somewhere near the head end of the beds as the one socket in the room was very inconvenient next to the door and the sockets in the lounge were often taken by other guests other than that, clean, tidy and well run.
L.Not the best backpackers we have stayed at as the outdoor area is quite run down and the kitchen is too small. However the room itself was nice/clean, there was no noise at night time and the bed was comfy so we got a good nights sleep.

T.It's an alright place to stay. The kitchen has a good selection of utensils and an oven. Plenty of fridges and freezers.
The WiFi is reliable and free.
The downsides are there's not enough tables to eat at and the rooms are not very wide. Just high.
J.I came to this hostel in a wheelchair and within 3 days I could walk again, the love and joy of the hostel had breathed life into my world again. I've also noticed since staying there my cancer has gone, everytime I leave the hostel I get a heavy burden of depression thats why I can't help but to be the longest long termer they've ever had. Best thing is thy don't even notice if you don't keep paying, I've been staying here 3 years and I only payed for a week. They're too nice to kick you out. They're so chill to you can bring anything here and no one will care, we had a bouncy castle in the kitchen and it was as if no one noticed. Not one complaint.
4 stars because I bumped my head on a low door no one told me about

坏.I am from Wellington. I had a very good sleep lastnight in this motel. I recemmend this Backpacker because every bathrooms toilet and bedrooms are very clean. The double room have 3 beds suitable for 3 people. I enjoyed the super big and comfortable bedroom and wooden floor. Fee wifi passcode is washyourdishesorelse Very funny. The house's suface looks normal. not goodlooking. But inside is very nice. as same as the photos.

The hostel is not right in the center of Napier, but you are in the middle of the action in 5-10 minutes.
It is much shorter to the beach, as the hostel is on a street parallel to the Marine Parade. A narrow alley takes you directly to the sea.
The staff is very friendly, but the stated opening times of the reception are rather rough estimates ;-)
We had a "budget studio" for 2 people with a private bathroom.
The room was very small and had a loft bed under which a sofa was placed.
There is a kitchenette with a sink, fridge and kettle in the room, but you have to go to the communal kitchen to cook.
The "furniture" (it all looks more like a homemade brand) are getting on in years and have obviously been through a lot.
The dust on the shelves wasn't quite that old, but it had been there for some time ;-)
As already mentioned, the bed is a loft bed and can be climbed over a ladder. However, the distance between the bed and the blanket is very small, so you have to roll yourself into the bed, as it is not possible to sit upright in it. However, once you're inside, it's reasonably comfortable.
The inner courtyard is nice with lots of seating, e.g. have used for breakfast. The guests are rather young, which was to be expected in a hostel.

Wir waren im November 2018 für 2 Nächte hier.
Das Hostel liegt nicht direkt im Zentrum von Napier, man ist aber in 5-10 Minuten mitten im Geschehen.
Zum Strand ist es deutlich kürzer, da das Hostel in einer Parallelstraße zur Marine Parade liegt. Durch eine schmale Gasse ist man direkt am Meer.
Das Personal ist sehr freundlich, allerdings sind die angegebenen Öffnungszeiten der Rezeption eher ganz grobe Schätzwerte ;-)
Wir hatten ein "Budget Studio" für 2 Personen mit eigenem Bad.
Das Zimmer war sehr klein und mit einem Hochbett ausgestattet, unter dem ein Sofa platziert ist.
Es gibt eine Küchenzeile mit Spülbecken, Kühlschrank und Wasserkocher im Zimmer, zum Kochen muss man dann allerdings in die Gemeinschaftsküche.
Die "Möbel" (es sieht eher alles nach Marke Eigenbau aus) sind schon sehr in die Jahre gekommen und haben offensichtlich schon einiges mitgemacht.
Der Staub auf den Regalen war noch nicht ganz so alt, lag da aber auch schon einige Zeit ;-)
Das Bett ist, wie schon gesagt, ein Hochbett und über eine Leiter zu erklimmen. Allerdings ist der Abstand zwischen Bett und Decke sehr gering, sodass man sich ins Bett rein rollen muss, da ein aufrechtes Sitzen darin nicht möglich ist. Wenn man allerdings mal drin liegt ist es einigermaßen bequem.
Schön ist der Innenhof mit vielen Sitzgelegenheiten, den wir z.B. zum Frühstücken genutzt haben. Die Gäste sind eher jung, was zu erwarten war in einem Hostel.
